Introduction:
One of the greatest side scrolling arcade games (and grossly underrated one at that) is available as a part of the Arcade Archives series. Like many games in the series, the trophy list is unispired sadly. You will breeze through these trophies in about an hour or so with little difficulty. However, if you are looking for a really fun arcade title with gameplay that holds up today, Sunset Riders is an awesome arcade port for consoles.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: ORIGINAL MODE

In ORIGNAL MODE you can access the options and settings by pushing in on tp.png. Feel free to increase your lives and adjust the difficulty if you want. Once your options are set, you can hit triangle.png repeatedly to give yourself as many credits as you need. Go wild! You should be able to beat every stage and amass over 400,000 points in your first run.

Step 2: HI SCORE MODE

There's one last trophy exclusive to HI SCORE MODE. You'll just need to score 10,000 points in order to have enough to points to post a high score. You should have 10,000 points midway through the first boss fight.

  • The score has been posted to the online rankings in the "ORIGINAL MODE".

In order to post an online score, you will need to score 10,000 points, which will happen naturally within the first level. After you've used all of your credits up, you'll be prompted to upload an online score.
  • High score has been updated.

This can be obtained in ORIGNAL MODE or HI SCORE MODE. If you score 10,000 points, you can update the local high score offline by entering your inititals.
  • The score won 50,000 points.

  • The score won 400,000 points.

IN ORIGNAL MODE, you can change the difficulty and lives settings by hititng tp.png and you can have practically unlimited credits by hitting triangle.png at any time. The rewards for each of the bosses will total more than 400,000 by time you complete the game's 8 stages. While multiplayer is a blast in this game, only the player that did the most damage to the boss gets the reward and points for each of them.
  • The score has been posted to the online rankings in the "HI SCORE MODE".

Unlike ORIGNAL MODE, you cannot change the difficulty or number of lives in this mode. In fact, if you even pause the game, you must start over. While this may sound difficult, you only need to score 10,000 points in order to post a score to the online rankings. The first boss gives a reward of 10,000 but you should actually have 10,000 before you even finish the first boss. For being an arcade coin-op, Sunset Riders is somewhat forgiving with its difficulty, particularly at the start.
