Introduction:

After your mama cat is unfortunately injured while attempting to cross the road, you are left by yourself as a cold and hungry kitten. In order to survive, you'll need to befriend the cats and humans (and one dog) around town to learn how to feed yourself and get a warm room over your head. Each one you befriend will offer you a variety of easy-to-complete quests that will increase your relationship level (intimacy level) with them. If you befriend the cats, they'll be sure you don't end up alone. If you befriend some of the humans, they'll feed you so you don't starve (only some humans, though, other humans will just never like animals period).

Changing the Language: The game will automatically start in Japanese. To change the language, while on the main menu, go up to the "Pause" icon (in the top right) and go down to language. Keep hitting cross.png until your preferred language is activated.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Play through the game 9 times, one for each quest-giver

The game itself is pretty short even doing the recommended 9 playthroughs won't take too terribly long. You can double up on some of the quests to get them in one playthrough (most notable Sarah and Doggo, then Boss Cat and Freckle & Dotty). Doing multiple in one run is a bit tedious on your stamina/hunger bar so again, it's recommended you do each one separately. You can do them in any order, just make sure you're paying attention to your hunger bar. If this depletes, you'll start to take damage. If your health bar hits 0, you'll get game over and will need to start over. The only thing that carries over across saves/playthroughs is the progress towards your house upgrades. Everything else resets on game over/game completion. Make sure when you eat, you only eat edible items (canned food, fish and rats). Everything else will damage you if you eat it so just toss it or turn it in for house upgrades.

After this step, you will have earned:

43 trophies ( 10  29  )

  • Clear all achievements

Earn all of the other trophies in the game to unlock this Platinum.
  • Upgraded to second house

To upgrade your house, you need to give the cat sitting next to your house the following materials (you can only give them one at a time):
    • Banana Peel x3
    • Bone x3
    • Fish Bones x1
    • Rat x2
The Banana Peel, Bone and Fish Bones are found randomly in trash cans. The Rats are randomly found in cardboard boxes around town. Once you've given him all of the materials, go to sleep and when you wake up the next morning, your house will be upgraded and the trophy will unlock.
  • Upgraded to third house

To upgrade your house, you need to give the cat sitting next to your house the following materials (you can only give them one at a time):
    • Banana Peel x4
    • Bone x4
    • Glove x1
    • Band-aid x1
    • Rat x2
The Banana Peel and Bone are found randomly in trash cans, the Glove and Band-aid will need to be stolen from the stall next to Doggo on the Southeastern side of town and the Rats are found randomly in cardboard boxes around town. Once you've given him all of the materials, go to sleep and when you wake up the next morning, your house will be upgraded and the trophy will unlock.
  • Upgraded to fourth and final house

To upgrade your house, you need to give the cat sitting next to your house the following materials (you can only give them one at a time):
    • Glass Shard x5
    • Banana Peel x5
    • Bone x5
    • Flower x5
    • Canned Food x5
The Glass Shards can be picked up (once a day) from the glass pile in the Northeastern corner of town (there is also one on far left side of the row of stores on the block where your house and the Elder Cat are), the Banana Peel and Bone can be found randomly in trashcans, the Flowers are picked up from the ground (there are a few located on the Eastern side of time) and the Canned Food can be given to you by Michelle and Simon (you will need to get Simons intimacy level up to before he will give you any). Once you've given him all of the materials, go to sleep and when you wake up the next morning, your house will be upgraded and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Bobby's first quest

Bobby is the human who stands outside of the Fish Market.

To get his intimacy level up so he can give you quests, give him Flowers. The first quest he gives you, he'll tell you that he wishes to go on a picnic to watch the flowers, hinting that he really likes Flowers. Bring him one to complete the quest and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Bobby's second quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy level with Bobby, he'll tell you that he needs to close down his shop for a few because he's feeding the cats too much. You'll need to go get your Intimacy level with Michelle (the lady who feeds you in the Northwestern part of the map) to Level 2, then talk with Bobby again to complete the quest, unlocking the trophy. Michelle, as with Bobby, likes to receive Flowers.

  • Completed Bobby's third quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy, Bobby will complain about the rat problem around town and tell you to "go hunt some rats". You just need to catch 1 (look in the boxes scattered around town), then bring it back to him to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Bobby's fourth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy, Bobby will tell you that someone is poisoning the cats around time but more importantly, that he just cut his finger awfully deep. He won't outright ask for one but you need to bring him a band-aid. The band-aids can be stolen from the stall just next to Doggo (fair warning this will decrease your intimacy level with Doggo). Get the band-aid (this stall also gives gloves so you may need to try a few times) and then bring it back to Bobby to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Boss Cat's first quest

The Boss Cat is the black cat in the Northeastern area of the city, just next to the two pigeons:

To quickly level up his intimacy level, gift him the canned food that you get from Michelle, the lady in the Northwestern area of the city (she will give you up to 2 cans per day). When you reach Level 2 intimacy with Boss Cat, talk to him again and he'll give you a quest to bring him some canned food (and only canned food). Just as with raising his intimacy level overall, you'll get the canned goods from Michelle. Bring him one can and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Boss Cat's second quest

When you reach Level 3 intimacy with Boss Cat, talk to him again and you'll learn that he has information about what happened to your mama. Before he tells you anything, however, he'll demand that you bring him a can of cat food. Just as before, talk with Michelle on the Northwest side of town and "Act Friendly" so she gives you a can of cat food (you can only do this twice in one day). Bring the can back to him and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Boss Cat's third quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with Boss Cat, you'll start asking him why he's guarding this specific corner of town. He'll refuse to tell you anything but the Elder Cat can. Talk to the Elder Cat and he'll tell you about Boss Cat's history. After he does, talk with Boss Cat again to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Boss Cat's fourth quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with Boss Cat, you'll ask him how he got so strong! He'll tell you his secrets and then mention that hunting down rats has certainly helped. Bring him a rat (they're found randomly in the boxes around town) and this trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Boss Cat's fifth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy with Boss Cat, you'll ask him if he's ever thought about living with humans, to which he quickly says no. When you ask him about food, he tells you that you don't need humans when you can get steal your fish from the Fish Market. Steal him a Huge Fish from the Market and give it to him to unlock this trophy.

As a reference, this is the icon for the Huge Fish:

  • Completed Doggo's first quest

Doggo is the, well, dog, in the Southeastern area of the city:

To quickly raise your intimacy level with him, give him Flowers since they're close by. When you reach Level 2 intimacy with Doggo, he'll ask you to bring him a Flower to make his Grandma feel better. There's a flower patch just up the street from him so grab one and bring it down to him to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Doggo's second quest

When you reach Level 3 intimacy with Doggo, you'll discuss his parents and basically how he'd never go back to living with them. He does, however, miss the bones that they would always give him. Go find him a bone (they're found randomly in trash cans around town) and give it to Doggo to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Doggo's third quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with Doggo, you'll ask him what it's like living with humans, to which he'll gush over his family. To get an idea of what it's like, he'll suggest you talk to a human who likes cats. You will need to talk to all of the humans (the quest-giving humans) in town:
    • Michelle (Northwest area of town - only appears during the day)
    • Sarah (sitting on the bench in the Southern part of town - only appears during the day)
    • Bobby (the owner of the Fish Market on the Eastern side of town - only appears during the day)
    • Gregory (he'll be standing in the Northeastern corner of town - only appears at night)
    • Simon (he stands just North of Doggo - only appears at night)
Talk to all of them, then return to Doggo to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Doggo's fourth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy with Doggo, you'll continue your conversation about how to get humans to like you. He'll suggest that you become friends with all of them to make them easier to understand. Their individual locations are listed above in Let's learn about humans trophy_bronze.png but the items you'll want to give them are listed below (give them 2 of these in one day to reach Level 2):
    • Michelle: 2 Flowers or Gloves
    • Sarah: 2 Flowers, Band-aids, or Glass Shards
    • Bobby: 2 Flowers, Gloves, or Band-aids
    • Gregory: 2 Huge Fish, Band-Aids, Canned Food, or Flowers
    • Simon: 2 Huge Fish or Band-Aids
Return to Doggo after all of the intimacy levels are raised to 2 to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Gregory's first quest

Gregory will be the human standing in the Northeast corner of town that only appears at night:

When you reach Level 2 intimacy with him, you'll be able to finally understand what he's saying, which is both good and bad once you realize that he just wants to berate you. He'll leave to go home but as luck would have it, he has lost his house key. The key is located on the Eastern side of town under a bench, just South of the Fish Market:

Collect the key and return it to him to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Gregory's second quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with Gregory, he'll let you know how his wife left him, work sucks and on top of it all, he's misplaced his wallet. Of course, it'll be up to you to find it. The wallet is located on the ground in the Northwestern part of town, just in front of the bar (of course):

Get the wallet and bring it back to Gregory to unlock the trophy.
  • Completed Gregory's third quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with Gregory, he'll tell you about his son, Sammy and his wife Clara. He'll drunkenly apologize to her for not getting her flowers, hinting that you should bring him some flowers. When you give them to him, the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Gregory's fourth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy with Gregory, he will, for lack of any better term, start to die. You need to go find another human to help him. Because it's nighttime, the only other human that will be available will be Simon, the man standing just North of Doggo on the Southeastern side of town. Go and speak with Simon, then go to bed. Wait for the next morning, then talk with Gregory again to unlock the trophy.
  • Completed Simon's first quest

Simon is the man who stands just North of Doggo on the Southeastern side of town. He only appears at night so you will need to progress the clock a bit to start working on him.

When you reach Level 2 intimacy with Simon, he'll talk about how one of his favorite things in life is currently feeding all of the cats around town. He'll mention that it's time for supper and that if you want, you can bring your friends. In order to do so, just reach intimacy Level 2 with each cat (Elder Cat, Boss Cat, Freckle & Dotty). Once you've reached Level 2 with all of them, speak to Simon again to get this trophy.
  • Completed Simon's second quest

When you reach Level 3 intimacy with Simon, he'll tell you that he wasn't able to get food for you today because of a work dinner (rude). He'll mention the "sparkling stars" and how they "shine", hinting to find something similar. This of course will be a piece of Glass. The glass can be picked up from the pile in the Northeastern corner of town:

Bring a piece back to Simon and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Simon's third quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with Simon, he'll complain about how much his boss hates him. You'll comment on how his face is hurt and even though he says he's ok, you'll take it upon yourself to help him. You need to steal him a band-aid from the stall just South of Doggo. When you give him the band-aid, the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Simon's fourth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy with Simon, he'll inquire as to why the cats around town appear to be hiding. Simply talk to the other cats (Elder Cat, Boss Cat, Freckle & Dotty), then return to Simon to unlock the trophy. The locations of the cats are provided under the individual quest-related trophies.
  • Completed Sarah's first quest

Sarah is the woman sitting on the bench on the Southern side of town:

She only appears during the day so you'll want to try and gift her two items each day as soon as the day starts. The best item for this will be the Flowers but you can also steal Band-aids from the stall just next to Doggo. When you reach Level 2 intimacy with her, she'll tell you how she wishes she could just "fly away". In the Northeastern part of town, there are 2 pigeons with a bunch of feathers sitting around them (the feathers are not shown in the picture but they'll be there for this quest only):

Take one of the feathers and give it to Sarah to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Sarah's second quest

When you reach Level 3 intimacy with Sarah, she'll ask you if you have any friends because she brought food for all the cats. You need to increase your intimacy level to 2 with any other cat (Elder Cat, Boss Cat, or Freckle & Dotty), then return to Sarah to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Sarah's third quest.

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with Sarah, she'll tell you that she's lost her house key and that her parents are working late. You need to find her house key and bring it back to her to unlock this trophy. The key is located on the ground just in front of the store to the right of the Elder Cat:

  • Completed Sarah's fourth quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with Sarah, she'll tell you about how she gets bullied at school. You'll want to cheer her up so bring her a Flower. When you do, this trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Elder Cat's first quest

The Elder Cat is the old white cat on the other side of the store your home is next to:

To quickly increase his intimacy level, feed him canned cat food from Michelle, the lady in the Northwestern section of the city who will give you up to two cans of food a day. When you reach Level 2 intimacy with the Elder Cat, he'll ask you to help him find food, more specifically some fish (it can be any size). Once you've found some fish, interact with him and this trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Elder Cat's second quest

When you reach Level 3 intimacy with the Elder Cat, he'll offer to teach you how to survive on your own. The first lesson will be to befriend Boss Cat (the black cat located in the Northeast sitting next to the two pigeons). Get Boss Cat's intimacy level up to 2, then return to the Elder Cat to get this quest.
  • Completed Elder Cat's third quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with the Elder Cat, he'll offer you another lesson for surviving on the streets. This time, he'll teach you how to steal fish from the market. Steal him one fish (any fish) and bring it back to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Elder Cat's fourth quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with the Elder Cat, he'll tell you about his old owner and how he knows they'll meet again someday. He'll decide he wants to bring his owner a gift and require you to go out and get it. Bring him back a piece of glass and the trophy will unlock. There's a pile where you can get one piece of glass a day in the Northeastern section of the map, just a little bit west of the pigeons:

  • Completed Elder Cat's fifth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy with the Elder Cat, he'll tell you that his time is near and that he wants to speak with the younger cats before he goes. Talk with Boss Cat and Freckle & Dotty, then go to sleep. Talk with the Elder Cat the next day and the "meeting" will start, unlocking this trophy.
  • Completed Freckle & Dotty's first quest

Freckle & Dotty are the 2 gray kittens behind the building in the Northeastern part of town:

When you reach Level 2 intimacy with Freckle and Dotty, they'll ask you to retrieve the "shiny object" that the Elder Cat is wearing around its neck. This is simply just a piece of glass. There's a pile of glass that you can pick up one piece from each day just by Freckle & Dotty (and Boss Cat for that matter).

Bring them one piece of glass to unlock the trophy.
  • Completed Freckle & Dotty's second quest

When you reach Level 3 intimacy with Freckle & Dotty, they'll complain to you about how hungry they are. You'll take pity on the small kittens and need to bring them some leftover fish. You can try to get lucky by finding some in the trash cans around town, or you can try to steal one from the Fish Market (it may take a few times before you actually get a leftover fish). For reference, the Leftover Fish icon looks like this:

Once you have one, bring it back to the kittens and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Freckle & Dotty's third quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with Freckle & Dotty, they will once again complain that they are hungry. You're not always going to be around to help them so you suggest they learn how to hunt rats. You'll need to teach them (of course) so bring them a rat (they're found randomly in the cardboard boxes around town) and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Freckle & Dotty's fourth quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with Freckle & Dotty, they will ask you if you know about the place with "many, many humans". This of course is the Market. You'll need to steal a huge fish from the Fish Market. Bring it back to them and the trophy will unlock.

Just as a reference, this is the icon for the "Huge Fish":

  • Completed Freckle & Dotty's fifth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy with Freckle & Dotty, they will talk to you (and Boss Cat) about their Mama. Boss Cat will tell them that the humans have a tradition of leaving Flowers for their loved ones when they say farewell. Bring Freckle & Dotty a Flower to help them out and this trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Michelle's first quest

Michelle is the lady in the Northwestern corner of the map who feeds you up to twice each morning (where you get the cans of cat food).

To quickly increase her intimacy level, bring her flowers or gloves. When you reach Level 2 intimacy with her, you'll go through a conversation about not wanting her food. She'll give you a can anyways. Pick up the can and give it back to unlock this trophy.
  • Completed Michelle's second quest

When you reach Level 4 intimacy with Michelle, she'll not only (finally) get colored in but will also give you your next quest! She'll explain that there's a gentleman who comes out at night who also feeds the cats and how she is getting a bit exhausted feeding them every day. After the conversation ends, go and talk with Boss Cat, Elder Cat, Freckle & Dotty and let them know that it's human-feeding time. Go to sleep and during the next day, talk with Michelle and this trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Michelle's third quest

When you reach Level 5 intimacy with Michelle, you'll accidentally bite her harder than intended and she'll mention that she should've had gloves on but because she didn't, you notice there is "red liquid" coming from the bite. Go to the stall next to Doggo and steal a band-aid for Michelle. Give her the band-aid and the trophy will unlock.
  • Completed Michelle's fourth quest

When you reach Level 6 intimacy level with Michelle, she'll tell you that she's looking to find you a foster home, even if you think you are personally not a cat that deserves to go to a good home. As a way to thank her for everything, go to the stall next to Doggo and steal her a glove. Give her the glove and the trophy will unlock.
