Dive into A Plagues Tale: Innocence, the third person, action adventure stealth game developed by Asobo studios. In the game, the player will gain control of Amicia. Equipped with a sling and stealth, Amicia will be working towards finding a cure for her brother, Hugo. Fighting off hordes of rats and guards from the Inquisition by using fire, ammunition and commanding others. Amicia will do anything in order to save Hugo. Trophy wise the game is very simple, complete all chapters of the game, collect all 55 collectibles and do some chapter specific trophies along the route to completion. It really is a great game and in my opinion is a must play. The story is fantastic and the visuals are incredible. Enjoy!

PS5 Autopop:

You can autopop the platinum if you wish. In order to do this you must firstly update and load up your PS4 version in order to create a compatible save file, then load up the PS5 version and load in your save. I have however seen that not everyone's full Platinum auto-pops so just be aware of this.

Step 1: Complete all 16 chapters of the game and keep an eye on the upgrades
 
Just have fun and play through the game, learn the mechanics and enjoy the story. The chapters are short enough, some are more stealth based than others. Keep an eye out for upgrades and the materials you need for them. I'd Focus on one thing to fully upgrade between the sling and equipment as you can't do both. Note though that you should upgrade your pockets first, this will enable you to carry more materials. This is key as you will not miss out on materials and you’ll need more space to hold more for later upgrades.

Step 3: If you haven't yet, you'll have your upgrade trophies left or at least one of them.
 
With limited materials it's a little tricky and takes a bit of planning to upgrade both equipment and sling to max in a single play through. You can replay chapters 9 onwards (minimal) and focus on the opposite upgrade requirements if you fall short. If you haven't crafted 100 ammunition either (which is unlikely) start a later chapter and focus on that too.

    Chapter 3

    Herbarium 1: Carnations - In the churchyard, Hugo will walk up to it to initiate its collection.

    Chapter 4

    Herbarium 2: Aquilegia - Behind Laurentius's house, by a tree. Keep going around the right until you get there.

    Chapter 5

    Herbarium 3: Gladiolus - When the way splits and Hugo runs through the aqueduct to the ahead, turn left. A bit uphill and all the way back to where the river. Hugo will come back and follow you to collect his next flower.

    Chapter 6 has no flowers

    Chapter 7

    Herbarium 4:Hawthorn - After the mill, you'll enter an old village. Inside the very last house on the right you'll find it.

    Chapter 8

    Herbarium 5: St John's Wort - After the cutscene where you hang the necklaces on the tree branches. Hugo is kneeling next to it.

    Chapter 9

    Herbarium 6: Lavender - Right at the start of the level, behind a tree and a fallen trunk on the left hand side. It’s tucked in fairly well.

    Chapter 10

    Herbarium 7: Daisy - Inside the room were the rats were. After you've let the rats out (via some lights) to kill the guards, go in and find the daisy.

    Chapter 11

    Herbarium 8: Rhododendron - On the ground in the outer ring to the right of the one you first come down to. When you are supposed to be looking at the symbol on the ground with Rodric, just ignore him and head over.

    Chapter 12

    Herbarium 9: Cinquefoil - Immediately after exiting the house, take a left and follow the path round.

    Chapter 13

    Herbarium 10: Daffodil - After the 'vision' you will find Hugo. After releasing him, look for an opening between the trees on the right. Hugo will walk to it, the sun is shining on it so it’s pretty obvious.

    Chapter 14

    Herbarium 11: Black Nightshade - Found in the garden, in the back right corner from where you entered, between some hedges.

    Chapter 15

    Herbarium 12: Rockfoils - At the beginning of the chapter, after going through the door that's closest to Lucas. Take a right.

    Chapter 16

    Herbarium 13: Christmas Rose - When the guards come looking for you while Rodric is trying to knock the door down, kill them all, then go through that door they came from to find the herbarium at the end of the pathway near some grass.

    Curiosity 1: Spices - When you reach the estate and go into the house turn right. Go into the kitchen and turn left into a storage room. Go up the ladder in here and follow the walkway to the back to find the spices

    Curiosity 2: Tablecloth - Once you reach upstairs in the house you will speak to a maid. She will mention a 'gift' she has left you in your room. It is the first bedroom on the left, the tablecloth is on the bed.

    Curiosity 3: Soap - There is a small bridge in the village after you enter it. When you see smoke, take the next right and you will see it. Go over it and take another right into a courtyard area. It's in the right hand corner on a table.

    Curiosity 7: Hermetic Vessel - By a tree stump and a fire close to the lake shore, shortly after beginning the chapter. Just look for the smoke.

    Curiosity 8: V.I.T.R.I.O.L - Top floor of the house, in the room next to Laurentius's. His is the first one so go past it to the next room.

    Chapter 5

    Curiosity 9: Wheat Flail - When you come across the first cart, push it left and get as close to the guard as possible without being seen. Kill him and loot the chest next to him. The collectible is inside.

    Curiosity 10: Oliphant - To the left of the corpses you shoot down to get the rats out of the way.

    Chapter 6

    Curiosity 11: Pound Sterling - Opposite the canteen area of the camp, under a wooden defence structure, on a table. It's after the archers and the 'war room' areas.

    Curiosity 12: Declaration of War - Towards the end of the camp, look for an archer near some horses and you'll know you are close by. From here, move forward and search the tents on the right - it's in a workshop.

    Chapter 7

    Curiosity 13: Horseshoe - After the mill 'puzzle' face the workbench, you can see the horse shoe ahead. If you look to the right, you'll see an opening. There’s a lock you can destroy with your sling. Now go back out to the mill, climb the window. Horse's luck

    Curiosity 14: Map - In the woods, knock out the guard standing by the table in the north-east corner of the area. The collectible is on the table. You'll have to take a few guards down to get there.

    Chapter 8

    Curiosity 15: Iconography - Right at the start when following Hugo. Instead of going down the stairs, head right. It is on the broken stairs leading up.

    Curiosity 16: Bird Language Manual - behind the barrel next to Melie after you talk to her.

  • Find all the gifts for the orphans

    Chapter 1

    Gift 1: Duck whistle - As soon as you enter the estate, you'll notice some stables to the right. Go up the ladder inside there and the gift is on the table

    Chapter 2

    Gift 2: Amulets & Talismans - After reaching the first group of buildings near the start of the chapter, on a small dock just to the right the first building.

    Chapter 3

    Gift 3: Rosary - Inside the church, by the altar on the right by the blockade

    Chapter 4

    Gift 4: Diary of an Alchemist - In the orchard where Hugo wants to play hide and seek, by a wooden boat by the lake shore. Right hand side, find Hugo first if going for the Found trophy.

    Chapter 5

    Gift 5: Ballastella - In the area where Lucas operates the swinging brazier. It’s to the left, amongst some rats. It's next to a fire pit and some sticks. Hard to miss.

    Chapter 6

    Gift 6: Knucklebones - Near the beginning of the chapter shortly after the second guard is distracted, you'll enter a tent with bottles on the ground, it’s sitting on a table to the left. Get there fast before the guard turns back around and sees you.

    Chapter 7

    Gift 7: Vinegar - After seeing the Chateau castle for the first time, walk the first set of the stairs, then take a left at the top. You'll come across a house, Ask Melie to lockpick the door. It’s inside on the table

    Chapter 8

    Gift 8: Alchemical Crucible - After the sequence with Lucas in the Lab, follow Hugo. Just behind the area were you started the chapter in the grass on the left hand broken stairs.

    Chapter 9

    Gift 9: Chessboard - At the very end of the chapter, get rid of the two guards found on the right side of the area. It’s in an arch way type room.

    Chapter 10

    Gift 10: Reading Stone - After you distract the guard and Rodric gets his second stealth kill, it's in a corner of the room on a table by a chest.

    Chapter 12

    Gift 11: Calamus - Inside the house opposite the beam of light that Lucas will operate for you to get down the road. Use Odoris and Ignifer to get inside, if you like the fire first by accident, just restart the checkpoint.

  • Fully upgrade the sling

    ~If missed, can be obtained via chapter select~

    You can start crafting equipment at the end of chapter 3, resources are everywhere so really look around. I recommend starting off with upgrading your 'Pocket', because this will allow you to hold more resources for later upgrades and therefore you will miss less materials during the chapters. Be aware that you may not be able to do this trophy and the Sling upgrades in one playthrough but you can reply chapters 9 onwards to unlock the one you didn’t post game. This is mainly due to materials, if you've missed any due to no space, haven’t found them etc. Having said that though you can definitely upgrade them both in the same play through if you are clever with the materials and when you use them for upgrades and ammunition.
     
    The following materials are what you will need in order to fully upgrade the sling:
    • Tools x6
    • Fabric x10 * (Rare material, avoid when crafting ammunition)
    • Leather x10
    • Saltpeter x17
    • Leather x23 * (Rare material, avoid when crafting ammunition)
    • Alcohol x26
    • Cord x37
     
    The following materials are what you will need in order to fully upgrade the equipment:

    Repeated important information - Make Pocket your No 1 priority to upgrade first as some of the later stages of each item will require more materials, needing larger pockets to meet that amount. For example: Some of the third upgrades require 16 of certain materials but you won't be able to hold them until your pocket is level two and will stop you from missing any material's due to the pocket being full.
     
    Materials Glitch:

    If you are having trouble or are worried about missing out upgrading both the sling and equipment in one playthrough, there is a glitch you can use to fully upgrade all of your equipment (sling, equipment and alchemy) at the start of Chapter Ten. The only requirement is that you are able to craft a number of a certain type of ammo.
    1. When you get to Chapter Ten, exit to main menu and re-enter it through Chapter Select (needs to be chapter select).
    2. When the Chapter's title appears hold the touchpad, when it starts the equipment menu should be open, keep holding the tp.png (when Amicia finishes talking if you can walk with the menu open it's working).
    3. Press and hold r1.png to bring up the ammo crafting menu (you can let go of the touchpad now), the upgrade menu should be open now.
    4. Use the left stick to select and upgrade you already have and the rs.png to select a type of ammo you can craft a number of.
    5. Begin crafting the ammo and before the crafting completes move the ls.png to select an upgrade you don't have. This should unlock the upgrade.
    6. You can fully upgrade everything doing this though it will take any materials required for the upgrade you actually have.

  • Craft 100 ammunitions

    ~If missed, can be obtained via chapter select~

    There are four types of ammunition you’ll learn throughout the game. These are:

    Ignifer
    Somnum
    Devorantis
    Odoris
    Extinguish

    Be careful on which ones you create. Fabric and leather are the rarest out of the materials (apart from tools) so limit the ones that require these if you can. You will need a lot of fabric/leather for the last parts of each upgrade so keep that in mind.
  • Enter into the 5 alchemist carts

    Chapter 7

    Alchemist Cart 1/5 - Right in front of you when Lucas teaches you how to craft Luminosa.

    Chapter 9

    Alchemist Cart 2/5 - After crossing the wooden bridge that was infested with rats, dispose of the two nearby guards, then head left. Jump over a wall and use Luminosa on the rats to create a path.

    Chapter 10

    Alchemist Cart 3/5 - In the upper right hand corner of the university grounds as soon as you get outside. To the right of the second guard you come across. Use Luminosa to get to it.

    Chapter 12

    Alchemist Cart 4/5 - After running through the courtyard after you exit the house, before having Lucas operate the cart with the brazier on. Cast Ignifer at the beam emitter behind you in the distance and Luminosa at the rats.

    Chapter 16

    Alchemist Cart 5/5 - After having Rodric take out the first guy, behind a wooden fence to the right with a white cross next to it. Follow to the end of the road.

  • Complete the aiming training

    During Chapter 1: The De Rune Legacy

    Once you return to the estate, head right past the stables. Theo (he will be shifting hay) will tell you that he has set up targets for practice. To the left of his cart is an archway, go through the it and you'll see the targets lined up on barrels to your right. Destroy all the pots with your sling to unlock the trophy

  • Find a lunch for Hugo

    During Chapter 2: The Strangers

    In the city you will eventually see doors marked with white crosses, indicating the sick inside. Once you reach these doors there will be an alley way to the right. Down this alleyway there is an apple tree to the left. Pick an apple for Hugo and the trophy will unlock

  • Play hide-and-seek

    ~If missed, can be obtained via chapter select~

    During chapter 4: The Apprentice

    Head to Laurentius's farm, at a certain point Hugo will run off to play hide and seek. Hugo will be hiding on the left side of the orchard, behind the sixth row of trees, close to the central path. Keep your distance, sneak up to him and once the prompt appears, press and the trophy should pop. Warning: If you go the wrong direction, the hide and seek game will stop and poor Hugo will get told off voiding the trophy. If you mess up, just restart the checkpoint before you leave the orchard.

  • Save a soldier

    ~If missed, can be obtained via chapter select~

    Chapter 5: The Ravens' Spoils

    As you cross a battlefield swarming with rats, you'll make your way through a toppled siege tower. There will be an English soldier stuck in the back behind a metal grate (you can hear him on approach). Take the torch and move into the next section and put it into the holder. Do not! advance with the torch to far or you'll push the rats in his direction, killing him and voiding the trophy. You should have a clear shot at an extinguished torch to the right of the soldier. Equip some Ignifer ammunition and use your sling to light the torch for him. The man is saved, the trophy is yours.

  • Find the tomb

    Chapter 8: Our Home

    At the very beginning of the chapter, follow Hugo down the stairs but don't follow him into Lucas's laboratory. Instead, keep descending and you'll reach an unnamed tomb at the bottom. Trophy will pop

  • Enter through the main door

    Chapter 9: In the Shadow of Ramparts

    At the very end of this chapter when you reach the university in the city, you'll see the front door is blocked by shielded guards. You will need to enter through it. First, quickly kill the two soldiers on the right side. Now dispose of the two soldiers at the main entrance by removing their helmets with Devorantis and hit them with a rock in the head. This can be a little tricky as they block with their shield, however you can lure them to the previous area for a tasty meal for the rats which makes this very easy. Once the coast is clear, enter the university through the main door.

    Chapter 12: All That Remains

    Once you approach the estate after clearing out the rats in the road with two lanterns, you'll see a wounded soldier sitting against the wall with a lantern (he’s hard to see but you'll hear 'we are not alone'. On the other side of the cart you’ll see the other one. The goal is to get through the main gate and past the rats without having them kill both soldiers.

    Head towards the first solider and craft two Odoris. Throw the first Odoris at the rats in front of you, and run to the light at the inquisition cart. The second soldier is here. Throw your second Odoris behind the group of rats between your location and the gate in front of you. Run to the gate and hit to go through the gate. If you fail or mess up, just restart the checkpoint. To the left of the second guard is an upgrade station, chest and some materials so I’d suggest heading that way first. It's also a handy checkpoint

  • Stay with the captain

    Chapter 14: Blood Ties

    Definitely the hardest trophy. In this chapter, you will be in control of Hugo. Once you reach a cutscene with Grand Inquisitor Vitalis, the Archbishop and Captain Nicholas you're close to start this trophy (It’s about half way into the chapter). After the cutscene ends, the objective is to follow the captain as he makes his way to the dungeon. At one point you will get cut off after you go through the courtyard and he will lock a door. You need to be inside this room first for the trophy to pop. Follow the captain and stay closely behind him, you'll get to a courtyard and Hugo will say 'I can see the sky'. The captain will go right, and stop for a moment to talk to one of the guards. The door entrance you need is at the opposite end of the courtyard so keep moving and progress using the left side. Go underneath the hallway and sneak past the guard outside at the end to stay ahead of the captain. Once you are out of the courtyard and through the door do not go left up the stairs, instead sneak forward through the door that Nicholas will go through and lock (just keep going straight). After you go through the door, hide underneath the wooden table on the right side of the hallway. Sit and wait for the captain to catch up to you. Once he is through the door and closes it, the trophy will pop.

  • Find Rodric's forge

    Chapter 16: Coronation

    As you make your way towards the cathedral, you'll head through a burning building. Once you're out, you'll save two captives near a cart. The forge you're looking for is nearby.

    To progress the story, you need to push the cart forward so do not start pushing it yet. Instead, look for the forge first. There is an alcove with a workbench next to the cart. As you're facing it, turn around and you'll see an alleyway on the left. Go through it and turn right at the end. You should have a clear shot at the lock of a gate. Rodric will say "This place, I know it all too well". It'll be obvious you are on the right track. Destroy the lock with your sling and go back around to where the cart is and go through the now unlocked gate. Run all the way to the back of the road to find the forge.
