Warbear
I'm gonna vote 7/10. I haven't played the first but this one can be quite challenging in the later levels (40-50). Skill is no doubt needed to platinum. Trial and error is key for this platinum.
Harry94_
7/10 I had a lot of trouble perfecting levels 40, 47 and 50. 47 took me countless hours as I kept dying. Everything else is easy enough, and you'll unlock them as you go for all perfects.
vivan
I'll go with 7. A bit harder than Ultra, but not that much. And also way more annoying thank to easy instadeaths. Flying part is now easier, but platforming is a bit hard... Mastering all those "tricks" like spamming teleport button instead of relying on timing/position. Rawanz
7/10 Some of the levels are extremely difficult and tricky to get perfect on. Majority of the trophies comes as you play trying to get perfect on all levels.
IannnG
Choice between a 7 or an 8 for me. Going with 7 because the majority voted a 7. Some levels are really tedious and having to replay them because you've missed one survivor or 10 points is really frustrating. Game is a lot of fun though. PowerPyx
I gave it a 7/10 as well. Takes a lot of patience to plat this. There are some really tough levels for the perfect medals.
bstie1198
I still have to get a perfect on level 47 for the Platinum, but that may take me a few days to nail down, so I'm voting now. I'm going with an 8. It's definitely harder than Ultra. I found the perfect requirements to be much more demanding this time around, in both on the time and score thresholds. Yowza
8. So taxing retrying levels for an hour or more to get perfects. Like someone else said, flying is a little easier, but the insta-deaths in the platforming sections are so annoying. Level 47 in particular has way too many chances to die and have to start the 7 minute level all over. I will be very happy once i get the plat on this, though, as ypu cant cheat your way to it. And, i look forward to future dlc on top of the critical urgency pack. I hope they are more than just speed runs though.
Smacchio
7/10 I had troubles with the last 2 hostile forces levels.
cornishpasty79
Considering I've been stuck on level 47 for around 23 hours I'm going to have to say
Nevski
9/10 The only other game I gave 9/10 was Trials Fusion. I wished I had given it a 10 though, so yeah, this game is easier than Trials Fusion. Still hard as fuck. Neme
I pass all 50 levels whit perfect now, for me 9/10 is BRUTAL
liverpool12zzz
There will be NO platinum for me in this game . It requires a huge degree of time , patience , perseverance and hours of frustration to platinum this ...a definite 10 difficulty for me .
Madhouse Dan
I gave it a 10. This was one of the few games that made me doubt I could get the plat.
Archavia
Gave it an 8. A lot of hard levels, but I was able to Perfect most within an hour. Level 50 took probably 2 hours, whilst Level 47 took 5 hours. Flying is easier than it was in Velocity Ultra, but the platforming makes this platinum considerably harder in my books. Salfordladd
I'd say 7-8 as well. Voted 8, because these games simply take insane levels of precision, which takes a lot of work. That the game rarely gets frustrating or boring is a testament to the brilliant design, I think. Some bits are indeed harder than Ultra, but there's one major piece of this game that makes it a bit easier than Ultra: the gold medal timing on the critical urgency zones. In Ultra, the time requirements for CU zones were set to the exact amount of time it would take to complete the level with the boost button engaged throughout, so you could never let go of boost if you wanted the perfect rating. However, in 2X, most levels allow to you to let go of boost for a split second if you need (for example, on those pesky gate locks where you need to throw bombs in multiple directions with speed and precision) and make up the time in the platforming sections with some teledashing. This made for fewer frustrating retries for me on those zones when bomb placement was a hair off. Edited September 20, 2014 by Salfordladd
Cjail
I would say 7/10 since it's skill/time demanding/consuming but not stupidly frustrating but level 47 sadly made this a 9/10.
janzor88
I would have voted 7, but due to the 5-6 hours spent on level 47 I instead voted 8.
Rinzler18
Really fun game, but perfecting everything was a pain in the ass!
Sanguis Corvi
I've not voted yet because I'm only up to level 35, but this one seems harder than the first. I lost count of how many attempts it took me to get the time down for level 34.
Shinobi X
Voted a 7 on this game. This game get difficult as you process. The only stage that was hard to do and it was annoying was level 47. Edited September 24, 2014 by Shinobi X
GHO5T
Got the platinum a few days ago and I'll go with a 8. Levels 47 and 50 were frustrating but having patience to keep trying, fixing your mistakes makes it all worthwhile. Awesome game.
yuri03042
Voted halfway, wasn't really hard (ultra was worse), but it was patience consuming to not give up until you perfect a level. I could have done it quicker (2 days instead of 4) if I had more patience for keep playing the game after I got a perfect (perfected one stage and quit). If you ask me, the game was awful compared to Ultra. Glad I didn't had to pay for it. And oh, the story... another garbage... but there is a way for a third game in the way the ending looks. BOT Brad
I've gone with a 7. Perfecting around 45 of the levels was easily done once you learned the levels and got a little bit better at the game which will come naturally, however a couple of the levels were a bit trickier (47 most notably) and required patience and persistence. Still, I never felt any of the levels were impossible to perfect, and knew that I could do it, and it was always my fault if I messed up, and never the games fault. I really enjoyed Velocity 2X, and have 100%'ed both of the DLC packs, and have also started playing Velocity Ultra now!
