Thank you. Overview Estimated Platinum Difficulty: 4/10 Offline Trophies: 46 (34(B), 8(S), 3(G), 1(P)) Online Trophies: 0 Approximate Time to Platinum: 50-80 hours Minimum Playthroughs Needed: 1 Missable Trophies: 1 (Histoire Enthusiast) Glitched Trophies: 0 Difficulty Affects Trophies: No Cheats Disable Trophies: No cheats Introduction: (From the manual) Four goddesses preside over a parallel world called Gamindustri. Aside from the warring goddesses of Celestia, the human world below brims with monsters released by the evil powers of Arfoire. One girl, Neptune, falls to the human world during a scuffle between the goddesses. Once there, Neptune hears a cry from the tome Histoire, who has been sealed and kept away from the goddesses by Afoire. This is a fairly easy platinum. It is a bit of a grind, but it can be done in one playthrough. Caution must be taken, because there are some monsters that only appear in story based dungeons that you cannot return to, making them missable. WARNING: Try not to let Neptune die. When she dies, the shares for all the lands decline, and the "Other" shares increases. You can permanently lose shares this way! See Histoire Enthusiast for more details. Step 1: Complete the game. Do NOT recruit the goddesses Complete the game as normal. Most of the trophies are either story based or easily gotten. Be sure to recruit Nisa and Gust for their events and the trophies Modest-Breasted Heroine and Business-Savvy Alchemist. Do be aware that some monsters only appear in story based dungeons and can be missed, so try to defeat every monster possible. If you do miss one, there is New Game+ which carries over your stats (See Step 3). Do NOT recruit the goddesses because the final boss is different on the normal ending and the true ending, and both forms are listed in the bestiary (needed for the trophy Histoire Enthusiast). After defeating the final boss, save the game and you'll be back at the World Menu and you can challenge the final boss as many times you like. Post-game opens up new events and side dungeons. Step 2: Recruit the goddesses and defeat the final boss again After defeating the final boss for the first time, recruit all three goddesses. In order to recruit a goddess, you must increase the goddess' landmass shares high enough to get events where you eventually will fight them one on one. After recruiting a goddess, continue to increase shares until you get the event "Unfortunate Black/White/Green Heart" before you start to recruit any other goddesses. Once you recruited all three, defeat the final boss in the true form. These steps will give you the trophies Green Heart, Black Heart, White Heart, and The Real Arfoire Stands Up. Step 3: Cleanup and New Game+ (If needed) Once you have the true ending, it is time to clean up. Make sure to visit every dungeon and get an S Rank on all side dungeons (DLC not included) for the trophies Multi-Platform and Speedy Hunter. See all the events, complete all the dungeons and complete the bestiary to earn Histoire Enthusiast. If you missed some enemies, you can use New Game+, which is accessed by loading up your save and in the World Menu, choose restart. This will start the game over, but you keep your weapons, items, and levels. It resets each land's shares and you have to recruit the goddesses, Nisa, and Gust again. stgermain
Trophy Guide http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/932/001.jpgNeptune: Engage!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png Started your journey in Gamindustri. Simply start a new game. Can't get any easier than this. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/932/002.jpgVirtually Fightinghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png Created an original Combo. Edit the last three parts of a combo. For example, in combo :triangle::triangle:, edit the last three . The first part of a combo cannot be edited. You should be able to do this after you finish the first non-tutorial dungeon. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/932/003.jpgItem Makinghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png You used your synthesized item during battle. This trophy will unlock once you used an item in battle. Items are the only means of healing during a battle. Item usage is automatic and it depends on how "Item Skill" is set up. An "Item Skill" at 50% will only activate 50% of the time when the conditions are met and there are enough items. An "Item Skill" at 100% will always activate with the right conditions and enough items. Remember that "Item Skill" can be changed at any time, even during battle. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/932/004.jpgCracking the Wallethttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png Purchased something at the Shop. You must obtain an S Rank in all of the side dungeons (excluding DLC). The ranking is based on time. The time required is very lenient and should not pose much problems, but if you are having trouble, here are a few tips: This is based on time. Being over-leveled has no penalty. Use to skip animations as these animations add to the time. You cannot hold it. It must be pressed after every attack. To avoid random encounters, walk some steps and save the game. Reload and walk some more steps and save. Reload and continue the process to reach the boss. Setting the game to hard will increase the amount of damage to enemies, thus saving time. Take caution, as you also take more damage and bosses may wipe you out. http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/932/045.jpgHistoire Enthusiasthttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png(missable!) stgermain
Share Guide When you finish the game, if you did not let Neptune fall in battle (or fail any dungeons) and you did not do any side dungeons, all land shares will be at 25%. If not, you might need to make some adjustments in relation to this guide. This is an effective way I have found to transfer shares to view all the events: Before you go around and transfer shares, try to view all of Gust's and Nisa's events, which are the following: Gust "Good Ear" Lowee "Wireless Charger" Lastation "Stolen Idea" Planeptune "Wireless Charger Complete!" Leanbox "Watch out for Counterfeits!" Planetune Nisa "N1 is Lonely Wolf's Friend" Planetune "You Made Me Mad" Lowee "Have You Forgotten Me?!" Leanbox "I Don't Discriminate" Lastation You should be able to do all the above events if all the share bars are around 25%. If you do not see the event, you might have to adjust the shares in that land. Go to Lastation and do the dungeon "How Dare You! Noob Goddess!". This transfers shares from Neptune to Lastation. Repeat until all the of Planeptune shares are transferred to Lastation. Next, do the dungeon "Disastrous Flames". This transfers shares from Leanbox to Lastation. Repeat as much as necessary. Be sure to view all of Lastation's events, recruit Black Heart, and view the event "Unfortunate Black Heart". Go to Leanbox and do the dungeon "Search for an Employee". This transfers shares from Lastation to Leanbox. Repeat as much as necessary. Be sure to view all of Leanbox's events, recruit Green Heart, and view the event "Unfortunate Green Heart". Go to Lowee and do the dungeon "Take My Dragon". This transfers shares from Leanbox to Lowee. Repeat as much as necessary. Be sure to view all of Lowee's events, recruit White Heart, and view the event "Unfortunate White Heart." You should have seen all of the events at this point. If necessary, go to Planeptune and do the dungeon "Golden Dragon" This transfers shares from Lowee to Planeptune. Repeat as much as necessary (it is rather slow though). Arturia
Great guide, kudos on making the Trophy Guide/Road Map first I gotta say one thing about the Chain Combo Trophy, it is a bit miss-worded from translation and pretty much u have to connect 5 combos one after another with combo link. yewjhin
I also suggest attaching the names of the Jap trophies as the game is available in Japanese as well. PS3Trophies.org - Hyperdimension Neptunia ??????? ??????? Trophies List You can refer to the trophy guide walkthrough in the FAQs section on how to format them. http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/faq/27004-trophy-guides-complete-walkthrough.html Edited March 11, 2011 by yewjhin
Suiseiseki
Which difficulty is best to play through the game? Easy / Normal / Hard? I know you can switch midgame so it's not a critical choice. Maybe Hard for trash mobs and then switch to Easy for bosses?

Thanks for pointing it out. I tested it on a alternate account and it's correct. It's 5 combos. Which difficulty is best to play through the game? Easy / Normal / Hard? I know you can switch midgame so it's not a critical choice. Maybe Hard for trash mobs and then switch to Easy for bosses? I played it on Normal, and only switched to Easy when I had difficulty with a boss. You don't need to grind in this game as long as you defeat every enemy you encounter and use monster call on large glowing spots to fight a clione. Giga_Gaia
For Actively Literate, what you have to actually do is go in a timed dungeon and get ranked any letter and it should unlock. The way you said isn't how you do it since you can get to the end of the game and it wouldn't be unlocked no matter how you used the explore function. I've noticed that this game has a few trophies with misleading descriptions. Edited March 13, 2011 by stgermain
Dell Boi
Thinking about getting this, but before I do, does difficulty level change how much XP you get from battles etc? How hard is "hard" in comparison with similar RPG's? Ty.

How hard is "hard" in comparison with similar RPG's? Ty. Difficulty level only affects the damage you receive and the damage that you do. On "easy", you receive less damage but you do less damage. On "hard", you receive more damage but do more damage. Some bosses can be difficult on "hard", but nothing too overwhelming if you know what you're doing. You can change the difficult anytime outside of battle if you find it too hard.

CorpusDelecti
Great job! I was actually debating doing this myself the other day. I'll be happy to contribute some more input for your guide, such as a Share Walkthrough which will make it easier for others to allocate their share in a more timely manner I will probably revise the Monsters/Dungeons Post as well as I plat'd the game on Tuesday and have a complete list of what the dungeons are now, as well as which monsters are NOT required for the platinum as there are about 10 monsters that do not show up in the beastiary. Gogmagog
has anyone created a list of what scenario dungeons feature unique monsters that you can't kill later in an optional dungeon to complete the beastiary? That would make playing through w/ one playthrough much easier. Last time I checked, it was still a little convoluted to figure out what mobs I hadn't killed, and what dungeon they were in. I haven't seen a list like that yet, but, from personal (bad) experience, I can tell you that more than one of the scenario dungeons related to getting the 4 weapons quests have unique/missable monsters. In case you didn't know, you can go to "Tomes" in your menu, then "Dungeons" - and as you look at each dungeon, you can see all of the monsters that are in it listed & compare that with your bestiary before moving on. You can exit the scenario dungeons, check your bestiary to make sure, and re-enter them, too. Edited March 15, 2011 by darkrpger
Giga_Gaia
How about a list of the dungeons you need for Histoire Enthusiasm? Because in the Monster/Dungeon topic, some dungeons are DLC and you don't need those. Also, I have a lot less then 50 hours and I almost have the platinum. It doesn't take 50 hours if you know what you're doing. Edited March 16, 2011 by Giga_Gaia

There are plenty of games that are also available in Japanese but it makes no difference to what the guide should be like (unless of course the list is different).
