Viper
Alright so here's the deal. last year I bought me a new PC as I had the same crappy Laptop for 7 years and it was time for something new. To save on money, I went refurbished and got me a decent browsing PC for under $300. So my PC is just that...for browsing and watching videos, etc. So I'm not looking for a RTX 3090 or anything crazy like that. Problem is I don't really know what I'm looking for. A couple things I want out of a graphics card...my integrated card is a bit old, it only has HDMI 1.4, so I had to buy a Display Port to HDMI adapter so that my monitor could get 4K/60FPS (HDMI 1.4 only supports 30hz). The adapter works great...however, there's some hiccups if I try to watch a youtube video in 4K/60...it can do it, but usually has to stop and buffer, and a lot of times automatically pushes me down to 1440p/60. So I'm looking for a card that can do 4K/60 and comes with at least 1 HDMI 2.0 port (PC has DP, monitor doesn't). And it has to be a half height card. And something that's not breaking the bank either...it's not for gaming purposes, so I'm not looking for anything crazy. Specs: Dell OptiPlex 7040 SFF Intel Quad Core i5 Gen 6 Intel HD Graphics 530 16GB DDR4 RAM 256GB M.2 SSD 2TB Sata HDD Has a 16 Pin PCIe slot available on the mother board. Monitor: 32" Samsung M7 Any help would be appreciated.
