Photo Mode Thread

Given that GT7 has a very in-depth photo mode which I'm sure a lot of us will be using quite a lot going forward, I thought it would be nice to have a place to share our screenshots. Also, not everyone here will be friends on PSN, so we won't necessarily see each other's pics whilst in-game, so why not share them here as well?

I'll admit that I'm not an expert by any means when it comes to in-game photo modes, although I have a deep appreciation for what some people are capable of achieving with them, and I'm already seeing some stunning stuff coming from GT7. It's something that I would like to improve at, and GT7 seems like the perfect game to get started on in that regard. So I'll go first. Nothing fancy, just my widebody Supra which is one of the first cars I bought in the game:

These are my latest shots. I'm still trying to get used to the photo mode. It's very complex for someone like me. I know nothing about photography, so I've been googling terms to see what does what, and when to use or not use certain effects and stuff. I do enjoy it a lot though, so I'll stick with it and try to improve.

The PST Porsche.

Don't have the game, but really pining for a racer and I've never played a GT game (somehow!). So I'm just stalking and bloody hell, these shots look so damn real.

It is real. We on staff now have access to the PST Porsche, and also the PST Corvette...

I'm proud of that particular shot. Some of the stuff I've seen from other players online is nothing short of amazing. You can find way more real looking pics than my shot. This game is a dream for people who are into photography and/or photo modes.

How do we post ours from our console/game to this site?

You have a few options.

- Link your Twitter. Post it there and copy the photo.
- Send a message to someone with the screenshot as an attachment. Access it through the PS app and download the image.
- Connect a USB drive and copy it.
- I think this is a PS5 only thing, but there is an option to sync your captures and they can be accessed directly through the app.

I’m sure there are other ways I missed but those are the main ones.

Yeah it's not letting me use the "Insert image from URL" option, it comes up red when I put the link in. I'm guessing it's because I just made my account here or I have to have a certain amount of posts, I don't know.

I've asked in the staff room and some think there might be a limit of 5 posts. Couple more posts for you and you can try again!

I've seen some awesome liveries online, and this one is pretty great too! I'm just wondering though, do you make them from scratch or is there some way to download pre-made images and stuff?

For this I had to download an SVG file of the Rovers badge, and then separate it into two separate files for it to fit under the size limit (15KB) on the GT website. You can edit the files in Inkscape, which is free.

Thank you, that sounds reasonable! Good way to prevent spambots and other malicious trolls on the internet creating fake accounts all the time. I approve 👍

Slightly disappointed that SVGs are still limited to 15KB with GT7. I thought it would be increased from GTS to maybe double. But then I remembered that this game is still cross-gen, and my hopes were shattered. At least people can still put out some incredible quality decals and I've seen some beautiful stuff out there.

Ah that makes more sense then. I haven't delved into the livery side of things yet. I didn't even know there was a website you could upload stuff onto. I just noticed some amazing stuff and wondered if they were created from scratch.

I downloaded the PS app and sync'd my captures to the app but now how do I upload them to here? 🤔
