Warning - buggy and save loss

*Update* It looks like they store your saves on their own servers (ie not the ps4 cloud although you can also store your save there if you want). So i figured id give the game another chance, couldn't start the game due to "corrupted save data" error message. So i wen't and deleted all save data from the ps4 for this game. Upon loading the game back up, the save game is back again, which is very weird after deleting it!

 

So if the issue happens to anyone else, give the above a try.

Just a heads up that the game is buggy, especially in multiplayer. Many times my game world just would not render properly anymore so all you see is your character walking around in "mirrors" (you know how things look if you walk through a wall with noclip or something).

 

I was working through NG+ to clean up trophies, the game crashed on loading a level and my save is now gone - corrupted. It doesn't keep any backups so looks like i'm screwed here. 40+ hours gone..

Don't you have a backup in the PS Plus Cloud or on a USB Drive?

Unfortunately not as i was unaware of save loss being an issue

 

I thought the saves got uploaded to ps4 cloud once per day but that doesn't seem to of happened with this game for some reason

I always backup my saves manually after every session, because the Cloud uploader is unreliable and I'm paranoid as hell about data loss.
