Introduction:

Welcome to Rage 2, the post apocalyptic world full of mutants and unforgiving terrain. Face off against an old enemy to safe the world from mutant domination. Use abilities, cool weapons and vehicles to help tear your way through this awesome open world.

Trophy wise, there is nothing hard and they are very fun to chase down. Enjoy the game as there are no missables but make sure to read up on the ones that you should start from the beginning. Most importantly though, have fun!

General Tips and information:

- Keep an eye on a few farming locations and try not to clear them out by accident:

Hardtop Bandit Den for Zipper (S)

Crusher Nest for Crushed (S)

- There is a statistics menu that you can use to track the trophies. However the stats menu is buggy and can drop stats randomly so isn't totally reliable. The trophy stats do not link with these so they themselves won't be affected. It may help gauge a rough idea though.

-Statistics cross over all playthroughs including NG+. If you have NG+ in your sights, you can do any post game kills during that run.

-During the game you will come across an in game Cheats vendor named Mangoo. It is now known whether or not these cheats will disable trophies so it is best to avoid them. They range from one hit kills, overpowered Phoenix and the Danny Dyer voice.

-The BFG is available and it is glorious. You can unlock this via the deluxe edition or as part of a pack up buy with Rise of the Ghosts DLC for 2000 coins in the game store. The BFG is found in the wild from a crashed meteor that you will see as soon as you leave the tutorial start of the game (Outside Vineland). Ammo can be purchased at the vendor in Wellspring.

Reports of Game Breaking Bugs:

There is a rare game breaking bug, where the game can glitch on you and never show you the mission marker for the final mission. This seems unfixable. Make backup saves, be careful and especially aware if you are attempting Ironman Mode.

Just to be safe, make sure your game has saved after a mission has been completed or unlocked just in case. If the marker doesn't appear on the map, load an older save.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Play Through the Story, Focus on Completing Locations to get Upgrade Materials

Concentrate on the story missions, after the first mission is complete you will have full access to the entire map. You can free roam and start working your way through the map or focus on the three main story missions in order to progress. After a few missions are completed for each Ally, you will gain access to the last mission.

During this stage, be aware of the Spy Drones for Mata Hari Manners (G) as you will need to destroy a total of 30. The drone intel you gain after is the only way of tracking which ones you have. They are also randomly placed, making this a possible nightmare.

While playing, concentrate on headshot kills using the Wingstick for Off With Their Heads (S). Pay attention to the list of weapon, vehicle and ability related trophies that can take a while to unlock.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Over 9000 (B)

The Ranger (B)

Blackout (B)

The Signal (B)

Wasteland Celebrity (B)

Beneath The Surface (B)

Ground Control (B)

Double Cross (B)

Project Dagger (B)

Step 2: Cleaning up

In this stage you will want to clean up locations for upgrades if needed, and find the Arks and EcoPods scattered around the map. Once upgraded, work your way through the miscellaneous trophies.

In order to achieve most of the miscellaneous trophies you will need materials to upgrade. Clear all the Arks to unlock weapons and abilities (if not done so already) and buy upgrade parts from the vendors.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Efficiency (S)

Unloaded (B)

Skeet Shooting (B)

Hyper-Express (S)

Postmodern Picasso (S)

Overly driven (G)

THIS IS RAGE (B)

Come on and Slam! (B)

Pseudo Post-Mortem (S)

Explosive Ending (B)

Hot Potato (S)

Peek-a-boo (S)

The Enemy of my Enemy (S)

Gonevoy (B)

Crushed (S)

On The Limit (B)

Hangtime (S)

Off Balance (B)

Dozing (S)

Goon Fire (B)

A Noah Lot (B)

The Bowels Of a Rust Giant (B)

Forlorn Watcher (B)

Sunken Hope (B)

Reaching out to the Past (B)

Wasteland Vagabond (B)

Step 3: Grind out the More Lengthy Trophies Until They are Finished

If not already achieved, finish off the more lengthy miscellaneous trophies by grinding the specific locations mentioned in each description or starting a new game. The statistics luckily counts across all playthroughs, just in case a good grinding location has been cleared so starting a new game will not reset the stats.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Off With Their Heads (S)

Zipper (S)

The Bigger They Are.... (S)

Goon De-leet (S)

Bytesize Takedown (S)

Acid House (S)

Can't Stop Pop (S)

Mata Hari Manners (G)

Post-Post-Apocalyptic Poster Child (P)

  • Offline trophies: 3 (3 (B) )
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 10-15hrs (personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 2

  • Do trophies stack?: Yes, Nightmare will unlock if completed on Ultra Nightmare.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No
  • Additional peripherals required?: No

Introduction:

A popular theme at the moment, the first DLC for Rage 2 brings in a new level of difficulty and an Ironman Mode. Starting a new game on Ultra Nightmare difficulty will be very difficult. It is recommended to attempt this on New Game+ so you can bring all your upgrades with you. This DLC was patched in for free so make sure you have the latest patch installed before playing them game.

Note: You will need to change the difficulty to Ultra Nightmare before you start NG+ in your main game, because it won't unlock if you change it after starting a new game.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Change your difficulty to Ultra Nightmare before starting NG+

It is highly recommended to attempt this during NG+ so you can stand a better chance. Bringing all your upgraded abilities and weapons into the new play through. You will need to change the difficulty in the main game before you do this for it to work. Once you have the Platinum, if you played the main game on Easy, change it to Ultra Nightmare and make a save. Use this save for NG+

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Nightmare (B)

I am Death Incarnate! (B)

Step 2: Complete the game on Ironman Mode

Select Ironman Mode and play it on easy, speed rush through the story being very careful to avoid cheap deaths.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

DLC: Rise of The Ghosts Roadmap

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 (personal opinion)
  • Offline trophies: 10 (7(B), 3(S))
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 5hrs+ (personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
  • Number of missable trophies: None
  • Glitched trophies: None
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No
  • Additional peripherals required?: No

How to Start the DLC:

To unlock this DLC you will need to buy 1,500 Rage Coins from the in-game store and use them to unlock it. There is no need to download anything after the purchase, because it is already pre-downloaded with the game. If you have the deluxe edition, then this DLC will be free for you to access.

After exiting any town in the main game you will receive a distress call. Go to the origins of the call (South, near Sunrise oak Drive) and enter the tunnel to start the Captive mission. If you any reason it does not spawn, manually save the game at any trading town and exit to the main menu. Reload and the call will come in as you exit the town. You can access this DLC after doing any first mission in the main game.

The new enemies are a bit harder to defeat than the main game. They move fast and can dodge your attacks so it is recommended you start this with some decent upgrades. However you can use the metro to travel back to the main game if you are having any trouble. However it can be played on easy, making the DLC a breeze.

Note: If for any reason the quests during the DLC do not spawn, exit to the mainland via the Metro Station and once you spawn on the other side Keenan will radio in about the next step.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the Four Story Related Missions

The DLC is pretty short with a small map. There are four short story missions to complete. What makes the DLC a little longer is that you will need to explore and help out Keenan in between each mission. Use this opportunity to explore the Overgrown city at your leisure until he radios through to progress into the next mission. Complete all missions during this stage.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Captive (B)

Within the Walls (B)

Slaughter to the Lamb (B)

Means to an End (B)

Step 2: Explore the Map, Clear all Trophy Related Locations & Max Out Your New Abilities

Once the story missions are finished, it's time to explore the rest of the map. Clearing all locations 100% can be achieved in under 5 hours. To cut it short, use Icarus to travel around faster and just do the locations needed. If you have the 12 points required for Friend of Ford (S), then unlock them too. If not you can bring these back into the main game and do them at any time.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

EcoLocation (B)

Recondite (B)

Ringbender (B)

Friend of Ford (S)

Air Drop Down (S)

Questionable Sanctity (S)

DLC: Terrormania DLC Roadmap

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (personal opinion)
  • Offline trophies: 8 (7(B), 1(G))
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 2hrs+ (personal opinion)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1
  • Number of missable trophies: None
  • Glitched trophies: None
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No
  • Additional peripherals required?: No

How to Start the DLC:

To purchase the DLC you will need to buy 500 Rage Coins from the in-game store and use them to unlock it. There is no need to download anything after the purchase, because it is already pre-downloaded with the game.

To start this DLC, you will need to wait for a radio call from Mangoo. Once received (normally on exiting a town at the start of the game), you will be directed to investigate a cabin down in the Sekreto Wetlands. If for any reason after you have bought the DLC and the mission doesn't spawn, manually save the game in a trade town, exit the game, and reload. Head there and approach the cabin to start your journey into the Deadlands. Once you arrive, grab your new magic sword and head to the nearest Bonetower. The magic sword is your best option to use during the DLC. Although you can use your main weapons, they are not as effective and you can get overrun very quickly. Your Sword and abilities will make easy work of the enemies here.

Note: Don't enter the cabin without manually saving the game first. The DLC will lock you into the new area until it is complete and it will be difficult if you are not upgraded enough (even on Easy difficulty). All areas are ranked 9-10/10 skulls inside this new area.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Enter Cabin Portal & Collect the Magic Sword. Go to the First Bonetower, Get the Fragment

The entire DLC is based around completing Bonetowers. There are 5 to begin with and a 'Boss last Tower' unlocked afterwards. All are open from the beginning but hold different levels of difficulty. Head for Veritas Bonetower (B) first and focus on Striking Skulls (B) and Flying Skulls (B) from the beginning.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Veritas BoneTower (B)

Striking Skulls (B)

Step 2: Complete all of the Available Bonetowers while Concentrating on Skeleton Kills

Complete the remaining 4 Bonetowers. If you haven't already, concentrate on the required skeleton kills with the sword.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophies:

Hellspring BoneTower (B)

Sensus BoneTower (B)

Tristitia BoneTower (B)

Furorem BoneTower (B)

Flying Skulls (B)

Step 3: Finish the Last Bonetower and Replace the Missing Pieces

Now that the Bonetowers have been completed you will have access to the last one. Defeat the waves of enemies and the guardians that follow inside the last tower. Once finished, replace the missing fragments and escape. The last trophy will unlock after the DLC's credits roll.

Upon completing this step you will have earned the following trophy:

Collect all other trophies

Congratulations on your new shiny Platinum! Note: The DLC trophies aren't needed to earn this.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/ff2.jpg Efficiency (S)

Use the Assault Rifle to kill 5 enemies in a row without reloading

The Assault Rifle is given to you right at the start of the game. If playing on Easy, the first load of enemies you encounter will drop within a few shots. Kill 5 without reloading, use headshots to be more efficient, then the trophy will be yours. You can get this literally anywhere in the game and it will probably be your first trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/08b.jpg Unloaded (B)

Shoot 70 bullets within 16 seconds using the Assault Rifle

This trophy can be done at the very beginning of the game. Aim the Assault Rifle anywhere and hold down the trigger, reload and repeat. You will easily get over 70 shots fired within the time frame.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/eca.jpg Skeet Shooting (B)

Hit an airborne enemy with the Shotgun's Slug Shot

The Shotgun is obtained during the Blackout mission, you will be tasked with finding an Ark with the weapon inside. The tutorial inside will show what is needed to use the Shotgun's secondary fire, which shoots Slugs when aiming down the sights. You need to shoot an airborne enemy only, not kill them.

There are a few methods you can use to obtain this trophy:

Method 1 - Using Slam or Vortex abilities will cause enemies to fly into the air, you can use these and shoot them after. Make sure to have the relevant upgrades unlocked.

Method 2 - There are plenty of locations throughout bandit camps with walkways that are broken. Wait on one side for the melee enemies to jump across after you. Shoot them while they are airborne

Method 3 - If you have access to the DLC, the Void ability from the Rise of the Ghosts can be used. Hold the enemy above your head and drop them. After they start to fall, shot them.

See A Noah Lot for a Guide to all the Ark locations.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/0d7.jpg Hyper-Express (S)

Kill 2 enemies with the same shot using the Hyper-Cannon

The Hyper-Cannon is found in the Greenhaven Ark in The Wilds region in the Northern Region. After obtaining the gun you have to kill 2 enemies at once with one single shot. There will be plenty of opportunity during the game for a multikill. Lead melee attackers into a corridor or just have them chasing you and fire the shot. Alternatively you can replay the Mutant Bash TV game mode to get it.

See A Noah Lot for a Guide to all the Ark locations.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/250.jpg Postmodern Picasso (S)

Rupture a total of 200 enemies using the Rocket Launcher

The rocket launcher is located in the Strongbox Ark in the Torn Plains region. You can use either method, the lock on ability or just by normally shooting the rockets. You can farm this trophy in any Bandit Den by leaving one enemy alive then reloading a save or use the Mutant Bash TV rocket challenge to farm.

See A Noah Lot for a Guide to all the Ark locations.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/ad1.jpg Overly driven (G)

Reach an Overdrive multiplier of 10

To reach an Overdrive multiplier, you need to kill several enemies within seconds of each other. This will happen plenty of times as you play through the game and will be even easier once you upgrade the project 'overdrive multiplier' in the basics menu. Use Mutant Bash TV or mutant nests to gain easy multipliers. The nests have hordes of enemies running at you constantly until you clear them, giving you plenty of time to earn the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/2d6.jpg THIS IS RAGE (B)

Use Dash Strike kick to kill 10 enemies

Dash is one of the first Nanotrite skills that will unlock during the story near the start. You will have to upgrade the dash ability before you can use dash strike kick. This requires using 500 Feltrite to unlock the second level and then purchasing the perk in the second tier using one Nanotrite Booster. Once you the relevant upgrades, use the ability to kill a total of 10 enemies. It has to be the killing blow, you can use other methods to strip armour off or weaken the enemy before the killing blow.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/6f3.jpg Come on and Slam! (B)

Crush 50 enemies using Slam

You will find the Slam ability inside the Earthscar Ark in the Torn Plains area. The ability itself is impressive and will be used a lot throughout the game. Upgrading it will make it much more effective and will pull multiple enemies into the attack when used. The Slam is a great attack when you are surrounded and will net you 50 kills in no time.

See A Noah Lot for a Guide to all the Ark locations.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/b7a.jpg Pseudo Post-Mortem (S)

Kill 3 enemies within 10 seconds after restoring all health with the Defibrillation

Defibrillation can be unlocked by visiting the Canyon Cove Ark. This is a self reviving ability for when you are downed. In order for your health to be completely restored you will need to make a number of upgrades. You will need to upgrade to level 5, this allows each shock to regenerate 25% of your health. Then buy the perks Reshock 1 & 2, these let you activate 4 shocks instead of the original 2. Once you have those all unlocked, head to any bandit camp and get downed, successfully activate all 4 shocks so that you regenerate to full health and kill 3 enemies within 10 seconds.

See A Noah Lot for a Guide to all the Ark locations.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/e1b.jpg Off With Their Heads (S)

Headshot a total of 100 enemies using the Wingstick

The Wingstick is a usable items that act like a boomerang with bladed tips. They can return to you for reuse, providing they do not hit an object or get pushed away by the enemy. They can be crafted or purchased from vendors to replenish your stock which you can begin using immediately from the start.

A basic non upgraded Wingstick will be extremely luck based to achieve head shots with and you will only be able to carry 3. To make this easier, you will need to upgrade the Wingsticks in the projects tab. In the Capture & Control section get the Lock on and Fast lock abilities. This will create a red flight arc whilst aiming, that shows you where the Wingstick is going to fly and land on the enemy. If you aim above and down onto enemies you will get a headshot, although if they move or dodge then it can miss or hit a different body part.

Other Upgrades to help are the throwable inventory increases, which can be located in the Kill and Destroy project section. This will allows you to carry 8 Wingsticks at once. The Wingstick upgrade schematics that can be purchased from traders will also help, they increase the damage but more importantly gives you the crafting ability. You can grind this out at any outpost. Save the game, kill all but one enemy and then reload. The stats will not reset on a reload so you can use any spot you like. If you are planning on a New Game+ playthrough, you could also carry over the kills to that too.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/760.jpg Explosive Ending (B)

Kill an enemy with a Turret Drone explosion

For this trophy you will need all 4 of the Turret Drone upgrade schematics, each costing $1,500. These can be purchased from various vendors in the game world. The vendors can be found here:

Dreadwood

Lagooney

Oasis

Traveling Trader

Once you have all of these upgrades it will cause the drones to explode when they are destroyed. This explosion must kill the enemy but it doesn't matter if you blow up the turret or they do.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/8a2.jpg Zipper (S)

Kill 13 enemies while riding ziplines

Ziplines are placed at a majority of the bandit camp locations. You can use any weapon you like but the easiest weapon to use for this will be the Rocket Launcher, it's splash damage is the most effective way to get kills. Getting 13 naturally will not happen so it's best to be farmed. When you come across a good spot, save the game and get the zipline kills, reload, rinse and repeat but be careful not to clear the camp of enemies otherwise the farming spot will be empty.

Once you have access to the Kill and Destroy projects, focus on unlocking the Surprise Attack as this makes you deal 5x damage to an unaware enemy. Making a stealth zipline kill a lot easier. A great farming location is at the Hard Top Bandit Den located in the Twisting Canyons area of the game. Below is a video better detailing the farming method.

Kill 7 Abadon Mutant Crushers

GLITCHED

There are only 7 guaranteed spots to kill Crushers in the game:

One is story related.

D and D's Hood contains two crushers and is situated outside. See Crushed.

The other 4 are underground dungeons with the Crusher fight at the end.

Note: There seems to be a potential for this trophy to glitch and not unlock after killing all 7 Crushers. Relying on random spawns is not a great option, make a save before the last one just in case.

Location Images for Crushers:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/a3b.jpg Hot Potato (S)

Reflect an enemy's grenade

Grenades show up red on the screen and are thrown by enemies wielding baseball bats. To be able to reflect grenades you need to unlock some perks in the Kill and Destroy section:

Grenade Tennis - Will allow you go return a thrown grenade using the melee ability whilst its in the air.

Smash Grenade Tennis - This will further your ability, you can reflect them once they have hit the ground.

Upon hitting a grenade, the trophy will pop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/a9b.jpg Goon De-leet (S)

Kill 1337 Goons

This will probably be the last trophy and naturally you will only earn maybe half of the requirements. This will lead to a hefty post game grind. Find a location that contains a lot of Goon Squad enemies, Doomsayer Peak is a good choice. Save your game, kill all but one enemy, and then reload your save. Rinse and repeat. There is no need to start this too early and if you plan on doing New Game+ you could wait until then to finish it off.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/ca5.jpg Peek-a-boo (S)

Kill a cloaked Shrouded enemy

The Shrouded are a type of enemy you will discover in some bandit locations, they can cloak themselves invisible and move around a lot. They have a fair amount of armour you will need to deplete before the kill. This makes timing key for the trophy as you must kill them whilst they are cloaked. The Pistols and Assault Rifles are pretty rubbish for this, use the more bulky weapons like the Rocket Launcher and Hyper Cannon.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/1d1.jpg The Enemy Of My Enemy (S)

Kill an enemy that is trying to kill an enemy

Very common and probably unmissable through an entire playthrough. Whilst driving around the game you will see enemies fighting each other on the road sides, you can see the lights of the firearms from a far distance away. Once you spot them, just run one over as you pass through and the trophy will pop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/576.jpg Bytesize Takedown (S)

Destroy 128 Vehicles while driving the Phoenix

The Phoenix is the first car you get given and has a vast array of upgrades and weapons for you to make things easier. 128 Vehicles is a lot and will take some grinding to achieve. Try and drive around as much as possible during the game to deplete the post story grind. Avoid using other vehicle types too as the destroyed vehicles must be with the Phoenix. Convoys will contain around 6-8 vehicles at a time and will be the best option to grind with. You can destroy all of the convoys guarding vehicles and then leave the area so they can replenish. Rinse and repeat until you get the desired amount.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/8d9.jpg Gonevoy (B)

Take down 1 Convoy Leader

Convoys are scattered everywhere on the map, a moving orange Tyre Icon. You will be using these to grind for Bytesize Takedown.

After you have taken down the convoys guards, you can get to the leader. On your first convoy, you will be shown a small tutorial on how to take it down. You will need to disable the shields and shoot at the weakened spots that will appear on either side and the rear. Once this is destroyed you will get some vehicle upgrade parts and the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/420.jpg Crushed (S)

Kill an Abadon Mutant Crusher with the Phoenix

There is only one outside location for this to be possible. See The Bigger They Are.... for all locations. Make your way to D and D's Hood, it is located in the Wild regions on top of a hill with tall buildings. Here, you will have two Mutant Crushers to deal with.

The only way to the top is via some small roads and some cracked pipes. The problem is getting the Phoenix there as you can not spawn vehicles once you are up there. The easiest way is the use the Icarus to get up there, spot the enemies and land safely away. Find a decent route for the phoenix to travel up and work your way back down until you can spawn it. Once spawned, drive carefully back up the route you came down and save before you start fighting. You can try and fight them both with the vehicle but it is easily destroyed. Jump out and use normal weapons and abilities to get both of them down to minimal health, then jump into the Phoenix and finish them off.

Maintain top speed for 10 seconds with the Raptor

The Raptor is unlocked when you reach Level 10 in the Capture and Control Project for Loosum Hagar. You can increase the levels by completing any orange map objectives. After you have achieved level 10 you can spawn the motorbike whenever you'd like. Use the boost on and off to keep your speed up for over 10 seconds to achieve the trophy. A great place can be found in this video:

Drive over 9000 meters

This trophy will unlock within the first couple of missions, 9,000 meters is not far at all. As you will be using the Phoenix a lot for other trophies, this is pretty much unmissable.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/272.jpg Hangtime (S)

Jump over 100 meters with a ground vehicle

There are some in the race at Chazcar Derby during the main mission Wasteland Celebrity that can achieve the required distance but there are plenty of areas in the open map that have large ramps where you can easily make double the distance without much hassle.

Cliffside Outlook has a huge ramp opposite it that provides more than enough height to get the distance. Video Guide here:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/a22.jpg Acid House (S)

Complete the Torn Plains Race under 3:03

The Torn Plains is a two lap race in the Chazcar Derby. It is required for the celebrity wasteland mission so attempt this while you are there. Take the inside paths when you can at the splits and keep using boost whenever you have it available but don't over boost and crash. Be aware that you need to win, if you get under 3:03 but come in second the trophy won't unlock. Although this is unlikely to happen. If you mess up you can pause and restart the race. It's not a tough cause and you will get it after a few attempts.

To use the Phoenix's Dodge, you will need to press :triangle: and the direction (left/right) you want to go. Line up next to an enemy bike and hit them using the dodge to knock the enemy off. The best place to find these are with convoys. Every convoy will have 3 bikes at the back for easy pickings. On occasion you will also see a trio of bikes randomly driving around too although not very often.

Scoop up an enemy with the Dumper Truck

The Wheeldozer is a big yellow digger, you can find the Wheeldozer at a few locations. One at the Mutant Bash TV in the Sekreto Wetlands area to the West of the map, and one at the Yeoman Growery Bandit Den that’s just north of Gunbarrel. You can always drive one back to a Trader Town to unlock it for respawn wherever you are too. Pressing :l1: with raise and lower the bucket in segments, holding :l1: will completely raise or lower the bucket in one movement. You need to have the bucket flush with the floor and drive into an enemy so they are inside it. Once they are inside the bucket, hold :l1: to raise it up. Just try not to hit the enemy too fast and kill them.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/473.jpg Goon Fire (B)

Blow up a Goon with the Goon tank Booma

The Tank Booma is a large enemy vehicle that can be found in the open world. Yeoman Growery Bandit Den, North of Gunbarrel has one spawned outside it, just in front of the Dumper Truck for Dozing. Jump inside and kill a goon with :l1: if you find one and drop it off at a Trader Town you will unlock it. Afterwards, you can spawn one whenever you like from the Vehicle menu and get a kill with it.

Complete 5 Arks

Arks are found out in the open world and marked with the blue hexagon icon that you can access straight away. They will contain either Nanotrite abilities or weapons.

There are 12 in total:

Dune Sea - 1 Ark

Sekreto Wetlands - 2 Arks

The Wilds - 2 Arks

Torn Plains - 2 Arks

Broken Tract - 3 Arks

Twisting Canyons - 2 Arks

Pop 17 Balloons

Balloons with a crate attached to them will randomly spawn in the open world. They are unpredictable and appear anywhere. When one does appear it will be shown on the map as an Air balloon symbol. You need to shoot the balloon so that the crate drops but you do not need to pick up the crate for the trophy. This can cause a nasty post-game grind if not looked out for from the start. To shoot down a balloon, you can use any ranged weapon such as a Rifle or Pistol.

Destroy 30 Spy Drones

Spy Drones are collectibles that appear at random locations in the world and will fly away as soon as you spot them but each has 3 possible spawning locations, thus making this trophy a pain to get.

First, you will want to unlock the perk Spy Drone Tracking. Which is found in the Search & Recover section of the Projects menu. All the tracking perks are very good and should be unlocked as soon as possible. These will direct you to you target but before you go near it. Save your game just in case, because they will fly off as soon as you aim at them and disappear to the next location. If you do miss it, reload and try again. With the perk and careful tracking at every location you visit afterwards, this is highly achievable but if you are struggling, here is an awesome guide written by PowerPyx with 97 different locations to look at: LINK

DLC: New Game + Trophy Guide

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/678.jpg Nightmare (B)

Complete the game on Nightmare Difficulty

See I am Death Incarnate! for more information about tackling these difficulties.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/c84.jpg I am Death Incarnate! (B)

Complete the game on Ultra Nightmare Difficulty

Playing the game from the scratch on Ultra Nightmare will be pain and take forever to get the needed upgrades. The last boss is a huge bullet sponge so you will need as many upgrades and perks as possible. You will need to play it on New Game+ with all upgrades, that's the most important thing and ultimately your make or break.

Before starting Ultra Nightmare on NG+, make sure you have changed the difficulty to Ultra Nightmare on your last save!

- Focus only on main missions, apart from the point in the story where you have to reach level 5 with each NPC. Do this on the easiest outposts, gas stations, road blockades and goon places. Avoid Authority Sentries (one hit kill) and Muties Nest (the don't drop feltrite so you don't get your HP up) at all costs.

- Use Icarus for travelling, don't waste your time with a car or a bike.

- Make sure you Defibrillator is fully upgraded as you will be using it all the time. Don't forget about Infusions, especially the Health one. You will be using it all the time so have it upgraded to the max. Note: The Defib is a lot quicker to activate so making it very hard to max out on revives.

- When you will die you will be starting from the last checkpoint/save. This also means that the Defibrillator will be automatically restored so use it to your advantage.

- If you run out of Infusions, go buy more from dealers or just craft them. Always keep a max amount.

- You should have upgraded all skills, especially Constitution in the previous playthrough before starting this run.

- Shatter and Slam are great for fast elimination and Vortex is a great crowd control skill. Also use your barrier in tight places, because when enemies go through it they will get stunned for a couple of seconds.

- If you have other DLC's, do them before NG+ on Ultra Nightmare. The Chocking skill on :l1: is pretty good and helpful when your abilities are on cooldown, upgrading overdrive to 15x multiplier is very helpful.

- The 'Sword of Transitus' from the Terrormania DLC is a lifesaver. Fully upgraded its a great weapon and by far the most effective in the whole game. It doesn't run out of ammo, has powerful ranged and close attacks. Combined with your abilities it is very deadly. Against any of the bosses, it will do more damage in faster time than any other weapon available. A must use against the last boss.

- Best weapons are the Assault Rifle and Shotgun for normal enemies and Pulse Cannon for Crushers. Ammunition for AR and Shotgun are everywhere and for the rest of the weapons ammo will cost as they are not common.

Last Boss:

- Most of the game is very doable on Ultra Nightmare, it's the last boss that causes trouble due to being a giant bullet sponge. If you die you start over from the start.

- You need to start the fight with as much ammo as you can get for all weapons.

- Try saving as much ammo as you can during the fight. In the Phase #1 (where he smacks with this hands and you have to shoot those blue cores) use your Pistol and some less popular weapons (keep as much ammo as you can for your Aasault Rfile and Shotgun).

- Don't jump and stay in the air as you will get hit by rockets. Just run and stay on the ground.

- Max out Infusions. If you start running low just craft more from the menu which you can do mid battle.

- After Phase #1, authority enemies will show up. Use your abilities on them and for the jetpack enemies, keep your distance and avoid their line sight (hide behind those 2 big columns if you can). Shot them in the head to kill them quickly.

- After Phase #2, cyborgs will show up. This is where you have to go full throttle. Spam your rockets, use overdrive, spam abilities. You have to kill them as quick as possible as they will kill almost instantly if you don't pay attention.

- Ammo management is crucial.

- If you have the BFG as part of the DLC bundle, stock up on ammo for it and it will make short work of most enemies. It will not however kill the last boss in one hit but it will make the fight alot more manageable.

Credit to Patrickosan for these hints and tips.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/da8.jpg Heavy Boots (B)

Complete the game in Ironman Mode

This can be done on Easy but if you die, all your saves will be erased so make frequent backups! Luckily the campaign is very short and can be done in around 5 hours so if you do mess up, it's not the worst thing in the world.

Tips:

- The game autosaves which can be reloaded so no need to worry about crashes or playing the game non stop.

- Falling into the trenches does not kill you, it just respawns you nearby.

- Ironman must be played on an entirely new save file

- Be careful driving non phoenix vehicles if they explode you're back to square one. Phoenix does not explode when damaged.

- There are a few glitches still so be careful and upload your save to the PS Save File Cloud or a USB Drive on a frequent basis.

DLC: TERRORMANIA Trophy Guide

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/322.jpg Hellspring Bonetower (B)

Complete Bonetower: Hellspring

Bonetower: Hellspring is located on the left part of the map, the most western one out of the three on the left. Clear the area, then a jumping spring will turn on and allow you to reach the portal. Once inside Hellspring, you will need to slay waves of Skeletons in order to make the guardians appear. You will have to defeat 5 guardians to finish the Bone Tower and obtain one of the missing shards.

The fifth guardian acts like a boss, it's in an open area with little minions to boost health. Not difficult and the same as the others but just take more care as it hits big and run around a bit more killing the small amount of Skeletons to boost your overdrive

The easiest way to kill any guardian is to go into overdrive with the sword. Keep up a high multiplier by attacking them and the horde of skeletons around you at the same time. Use shatter and slam for extra damage. This way your life with constantly replenish whilst you slash away and the overdrive will last longer.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/55f.jpg Sensus Bonetower (B)

Complete Bonetower: Sensus

Bonetower: Sensus is located to the South from the Cabin. Clear the area, then a jumping spring will turn on and allow you to reach the portal. Once inside Sensus, you will need to slay waves of Skeletons in order to make the guardians appear. You will have to defeat 4 guardians to finish the Bonetower and obtain one of the missing shards.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/040.jpg Veritas Bonetower (B)

Complete Bonetower: Veritas

Bonetower: Veritas is located on the left part of the map, the most Northern one out of the three on the left. Clear the area, then a jumping spring will turn on and allow you to reach the portal. Once inside Veritas you will need to slay waves of Skeletons in order to make the guardians appear. You will have to defeat 3 guardians to finish the Bonetower and obtain one of the missing shards.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/d14.jpg Tristitia Bonetower (B)

Complete Bonetower: Tristitia

The Tristitia Bonetower is located to the furthest right of the Cabin. Clear the area, then a jumping spring will turn on and allow you to reach the portal. Once Inside Tristitia you will need to slay waves of Skeletons in order to make the guardians appear. You will have to defeat 4 guardians to finish the Bonetower and obtain one of the missing shards.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/1bd.jpg Furorem Bonetower (B)

Complete Bonetower: Furorem

Bonetower: Furorem is located on the left part of the map, the most southern one out of the three on the left. Clear the area, then a jumping spring will turn on and allow you to reach the portal. Once inside Furorem, you need to slay several waves of Skeletons to make the guardians appear. You will have to defeat 4 guardians to finish the Bonetower and obtain one of the missing shards.

Be careful in this tower the last guardian acts more like a separate boss that is unlocked after defeating the third guardian. It doesn't change anything but the area is more open and it's a lot bigger. However it can still be defeated very easily using the same method. The easiest way to kill any guardian is to go into overdrive with the sword. Keep up a high multiplier by attacking them and the horde of skeletons around you at the same time. Use Shatter and Slam for extra damage. This way your life with constantly replenish whilst you slash away and the overdrive will last longer.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/dd2.jpg TerrorMania (G)

Return the NECRODISC and stop the Skeletal Army

After collecting all record pieces, head back to the Cabin then a final Bonetower will appear. The Ultimus Bonetower, enter the portal and like before slay the guardians. This tower has 6 to defeat. You will face the last two guardians at the same time. This can be a little frustrating, try and focus on one of the guardians first as together they can deplete your health in a combined move. Keep moving, don't rush and dive in with the over drive when you have it. Once these last two guardians have been defeated. Head to the cabin once more and place the now completed disc onto the music player to end the mission.

Note: The trophy pops after the credits have finished.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/7a5.jpg Striking Skulls (B)

Kill 100 Skeletons with the Sword of Transitus

You will definitely earn this in your first Bonetower. Although you can use normal guns, the sword itself is the best choice against the Skeletons. When equipped you can use your Shatter/Slam abilities with the sword to enhance them and the more Bone towers you finish, the more sword abilities you will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/7372/1e9.jpg Flying Skulls (B)

Kill 25 airborne Skeletons with the Sword of Transitus

For this trophy you must kill airborne Skeletons with a sword but there are a few methods to make this happen:

Method 1: Have a charged up Shatter and Slam. Use The slam first (with the sword equipped) and it will cause all surrounding skeletons to bounce into the air. Immediately use Shatter, then you will auto lock onto an airborne enemy and kill it.

Method 2: Using Slam again but in an enclosed room. Once the enemies are airborne they will either hit a wall or ceiling. Cut them down using normal attack quickly enough to kill them whilst they are still up.

Method 3: This requires a complete playthrough of DLC 2 - Using VOID, grab an enemy and move them right above your head. Do not use the ability, instead just let go and as they fall kill them with your sword.

Method 4: Use a fully upgraded Void and Sword Dash from the first Bonetower. This way you can get 2 skeletons each Void you cast.

Method 5: Use the ability Vortex to throw the skeletons up in the air and sword dash them from there.

See the video Guide here for more info:

Credit to The Gamer Society for the video.

Note: If you don't get this by the time you finish the DLC, don't panic because you can re-enter the cabin and do any of the missions again after the story is finished.

Thank you so much for the guide, one question though, does redoing/replaying the enemy basses not count for the Goons kill trophy or the Zipper trophy? I don't think they do, but I just want to make sure. Also, is the Statistics tab not accessible for you? I can't choose it. So stupid.

Its not redoing them that make it count, its more 'failing or respawning' and attempting it again that will make it all count. Its shown on the zipper trophy video

You kill, then jump off the cliff to respawn! Hope that helps

Statistics tab was available in the main menu and in game via the pause menu

When is the best time to start the Rise of the Ghosts DLC so you don't get your butt handed to you by doing it too early? EDIT 1: It looks like most of the cheats do disable trophies: https://www.reddit.com/r/RAGEgame/comments/bo276v/does_the_cheat_codes_disable_achievements/

EDIT 2: I'll answer my own question - don't bother until you have all the weapons and abilities have been unlocked and most of the character upgrades.

Thank you for the Guide, it came in handy :). I have some pointers for you:

1: The Abaddon Mutant Crushers have decent respawn rates out in the wild and you can find them just to the North East of the first Mutant Bash TV, to the South West of Wellspring and there's a third I don't remember. Here's the one near MBTV:

This method is much easer than faffing around with D & D's Hideout.

2: This world map was a lifesaver: https://game-maps.com/RAGE2/Full-Rage-2-Map.asp

3: It needs making clearer that Ironman Mode should be done as a separate playthrough, because it makes Ultra Nightmare a lot harder, irritating and more frustrating than it should be. Also, it should be noted that Ironman Mode can't be disabled once activated and will carry over to NG+ if you have it active on the save you convert.

4: Here's a fix for the endgame bug: LINK. You can ensure the game saves, by completing a Ranger tag mission, because they are quick and usually don't have any enemies present.

5: Even with the 1.09 patch installed, the game is very glitchy.

6: The The Bigger They Are... and Mata Hari Manners trophies popped 1 kill early but Bytesize Takedown glitched out and took another 10-20 kills before it popped. Also, the secondary fire on the Rocket Launcher will kill a Spy Drone in 1 hit so use that instead of any other weapon.

7: Here's an exploit for the final boss:

8: Ultra Nightmare info:

The Feltrite Laser from the Rise of the Ghosts DLC, melts Cyborgs like a hot knife through butter when you have Overdrive active but outside of that, it has very little use and takes far too long to kill most enemies. Also, most of the weapons in the game are pretty much useless once you get past the first third of the story but the Pistol and Revolver make short work of the Authority enemies, the Grav darts will make short work of the enemies during waves 2 and 3 of the end boss fight and the Pulse cannon will destroy the Cyber Crushers. The Hyper Cannon is virtually useless once you have to face off against the Shrouded and Authority enemies so don't waste its' ammo on them. The Sword is worse than useless on Ultra Nightmare and will get you killed, more often than not so don't bother with it. The Assault Rifle and Shotgun are very situational and borderline useless once you get into the second part of the game. Additional tips: LINK
