Don't understand why they remove this trophy. Possibly so people could focus on the story & a lot of people also found the way to glitch the difficulties in the first game. Personally I don't mind the list, it's mainly collectables & I'm still playing on survivor for the fun. There's not a need to worry about playing multiple times. I get those that want the challenge from a trophy pov, but playing a good game as a trophy hunter, without the extra frustration can be a god send, so i'm glad it's straight forward. To me this goes from something i really wanted to do to basically an in-between milestone filler like a telltale game Bloody hell, people can just play on easy if they "want to just experience the story without the stress". Christ it seems nobody wants any sort of challenge in life anymore. Let's face it, fuck all people actually go for plat/100% anyway. Yet more virtue signalling bullshit. I’ve been playing it on survivor and it is quite difficult! Literally no supplies anywhere and some of the sections i’ve encountered so far have been really tough! And the game is twice as long. On a grounded mode it would have been really rough, especially a couple of zones where the enemy patrols are 2-3 coverage of a pathway. Makes luring them out really difficult. The infected portions were actually easier because at least they followed a fairly easy path and if they saw their buddy dead on the ground they wouldn't freak out. I have already beaten the game on survivor+ difficulty, was CHALLENGING. Ammo, supplies are so limited and rare to find. I was hogging ammo and saving. Playing as Abby from the start started to save on ammo because I know I’ll be fighting the big dude at the hospital. Overall was fun I enjoyed the challenge. (minor spoiler, don’t read just in case) The hardest part was at the hospital with abby. That huge infected chasing you in the dark, it was scary as hell too. I am disappointed there is no survivor trophy like 1st game. I played on hard my first run which felt like normal mode on 1st game. They just cant accept that folks want to complete their games to 100% and yet bitch and moan they removed ultra hard playthoughs because it deprives you of a virtual trinket? The difficulty settings are there for a reason, you want to be frustrated or need the challenge be my guest crank the setting to max. Trophies are not there for waggling your dick about shouting look at me? They are for adding that little extra incentive to lengthen a game's appeal and longevity. Not for bragging rights, and anyway i put money on it most of the folk bitching and moaning about the lack of ultra hard trophies are just full of it and actually don't get these achievements, probably more their egos pretending they are some ultra gaming god. YES i'm sure quite a few folk can do it but the majority wont be able to, hence the reason the difficulty trophy is no longer there.....plus the fact so many cheat their so called ultra hard trinkets anyway they became rather pointless.....who did it legit who cheated and glitched it? I think everyone's aware of that. All this discussion boils down to the fact that some people wanted a difficulty trophy and are upset that they arent getting none. You can still play on the hardest setting available... but no trophy. I wouldnt expect a casual friend who doesnt care for trophies to get that, but I thought people here would get that more easily, considering this is a trophy related forum. However, after being on here for a decade, people like you come around every now and then and always say the same thing: “why do people care about trophies so much?” “I’m so tough and angry that I’m going to try to bring down trophy hunters by expressing myself with negativity that no one cares about but myself and say that this community is lame”. People are allowed to complain about trophies, especially on this forum. I for one don’t care about trophies like I use to, but definitely understand why some people are upset as they like the challenge and motivation and as I’ve said: this is a trophy website so some people like to be motivated and have something to play for with trophies involved; sorry if that grinds your gears dude but trophies are a priority/motivation around here. I've beaten Grounded Mode on The Last of Us 1, and I was basically using the same tactics on Grounded Mode (TLOU1) to beat TLOU2 (just on moderate) and I ALWAYS end up with full ammunition and resources on my inventory immediately after combat, and have all these resources scattered around in the game's environment and couldn't pick them up lol. I collect trophies all the time but why do people moan about there not being a trophy for a certain difficulty? I don’t get it. Just complete it on the hardest difficulty anyway.
