Introduction:

After a wormhole is discovered on the outskirts of Mercury, NASA believes that the ships that have gone missing for years have more than likely traveled through the anomaly. It'll be up to two brave pilots, Colin and Chris, and their steady ships, Greetings and Salutations, to investigate the wormhole and discover the truth about what happened to all those fateful voyages that preceded them. When they get to the other side, however, instead of being met with familiar faces, they are met with enemy foes who want nothing more than to take them down. So arm your ships and ready your weapons, as you're about to battle them in an old fashioned game of brick breaker! That's right, the two ships at your command are none other than the two paddles on board in this crack, shatter, and destroy adventure game. You'll play through 40 levels as you collect pick-ups, unlock codices, and most importantly, take down the enemy barriers in your way so you can make it back to Earth safely.

Walkthrough:

This game will require two complete playthroughs of the campaign; one on Normal (the starting difficulty) and one on New Game + (unlocks after you've completed the campaign once).

Step 1: Play through the Campaign in 24 Hours or Less

The first thing you're going to do is play through the campaign. There are 40 levels to complete, none of which are too crazy difficult. As you play, you want to work on getting as high a score as possible for the Codex Collectibles (for (G) In Books) and the S Ranks (for (S) Notorious), but don't worry too much if you don't get them on this initial playthrough as you'll be able to use level select once the campaign is complete. Be sure to also collect as many power-ups as you can to aid towards those individual trophies (see (S) Notorious for more information on getting a high score). You'll more than likely unlock a handful during this step, but which ones you do will dependent on play style and a little bit of luck.

You want to keep an eye on your hearts/lives and if/when you lose them all so you can make progress towards (B) Dead Man's Party, (B) Money for Nothing, and (B) You Never Give Me Your Money.

You'll earn the following trophies once this step has been completed.

(B) Caught A Glimpse

(B) From Chaos

(B) Black Star Deceiver

(B) Message in a Bottle

(B) Us and Them

(B) Spiderwebs

(B) Easier to Run

(B) Welcome to Paradise

(S) Surfacing

(S) It Only Took A Day

Step 2: Complete the Campaign on New Game +

Now that you've completed the campaign once, you've unlocked New Game + and will need to replay the campaign. You can do this one a little differently, though. Along with NG+, you will also unlock the ability to level select. New Game plus can be turned on/off with :triangle: in the level select menu. You can play the levels in any order, you just need to make sure you play them all. You'll know when one is complete when you're showing a "+" rank on the level select menu (NG+ must be turned ON). If a rank is not showing, it means you haven't completed the level yet. As with your first run, you want to make sure you're actively collecting all the power-ups you come across to work towards the individual pick-up trophies. You may have already earned some in Step 1, so be sure to keep track of your own progress towards these to make sure you're not doing any unnecessary grinding. Once you've completed the campaign in New Game +, you will earn the following:

(G) Break It Down Again

Step 3: Miscellaneous Trophies / Clean-Up

Now that you've played through the Campaign twice, it's time for some miscellaneous clean-up. You have more than likely earned most of these trophies in the previous two steps, but which ones you did depends on your play style and your luck with the power-ups. Along with grinding out collecting the individual pick-ups, you also want to play each game mode at least once as well as work on the scores related to the Codex Collectibles and the S Ranks. Gameplay tips for the score related tasks are provided under their individual trophies, so if you're having any issues, please reference those for more information.

For the power-ups, some of the trophies can be earned in modes outside of the Campaign, so if you're still missing any after you've completed NG+, take a look at the individual trophies to better determine where you need to go to work on grinding them out. Outside of those, the only other two you might have leftover are (S) I Alone and (S) Two Princes, though these will more than likely unlock naturally while playing through the campaign. Just in case they didn't though, the recommended levels to use to try and get these are provided under their respective trophy descriptions.

After you've completed all of the miscellaneous tasks, you'll earn the following (if you haven't already, of course):

(B) Aerials

(B) Best Imitation of Myself

(B) Bombtrack

(B) Chasin' Papers

(B) Counterfeit

Trophy Guide:

Earn all other trophies.

cfb708c6-0f9d-4273-a427-ec02417d6f60.jpg  Aerials (B)

Reflect the Bouncer midair 50 times.

As you play, there will be two meters at the bottom left and right side of the screen. When they're full, Greetings' and Salutations' reflectors will become available. Press :l1: for Greetings (left bumper) and :r1: for Salutations (right bumper) to use them. You need to hit the ball with the reflectors 50 times total to unlock the trophy. You'll be wanting to do this often as each time one of the reflectors hits the ball, you gain 10 points (20 if the multiplier is active).

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

79256e61-1229-475b-a171-1727fd7460f2.jpg  Best Imitation of Myself (B)

Double the Bouncer 25 times.

For this trophy, you need to catch/activate the Double Ball Powerup 25 times total. It's icon looks like:

Ayd4lnm.png

When activated, a second ball will appear. It'll remain in play until it goes out of bounds (it's not timed). Also note that whatever other Powerups you collect while the Multiball is active will affect all balls in play (if you pick up the Heavy Ball Powerup, both balls will get the effect). It doesn't matter how long it's active for, just so long as you pick up the powerup itself. Once you've collected the powerup the 25th time, the trophy will unlock.

This power-up does stack. If you already have it active and collect it again, your 2 balls will turn into 4. It'll keep doubling the # of active balls each time you pick it up.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

c0a923ac-4851-4b6f-8546-eca05213c111.jpg  Bombtrack (B)

Destroy 50 blocks with targeted explosions.

You need to catch/activate the Target Powerup and then activate it by hitting the block that the target lands on. The icon for the target looks like this:

1KgPWlF.png

The block that gets targeted will be one of the blocks that is closest to the bumper that caught the power-up. You need to destroy a total of 50 blocks for the trophy (the blocks that break in the splash damage count towards this). It doesn't need to be the ball that hits the target. You can use your reflectors (:l1: and :r1:) to hit the target and it'll still count towards the total. Once you've destroyed your 50th block with the Target power-up, the trophy will unlock.

This Power-up is not timed. The Target will remain on the block until it is destroyed.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

a539191a-230a-46d5-af2d-a58a33fbb0e8.jpg  Chasin' Papers (B)

Collect 50 silver coins.

You should be collecting all the coins you can as you play through the campaign (on both standard and NG+) so you can get the scores required for the Collectibles and the S Ranks, so there's a good chance this will unlock naturally. If you've finished both runs of the campaign and still don't have the trophy, start up "Catcher Mode" from the main menu. In this mode, you have to collect coins that drop down from the top. Only Bronze coins will fall at the start, but after a few levels, Silver coins will start to fall. Just keep collecting them and as soon as you've picked up your 50th Silver Coin, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

5bb0a7e5-6bb8-47f3-84d8-2bde765d9b82.jpg  Counterfeit (B)

Decrease the Bouncer's speed 25 times.

For this trophy, you need to collect the Speed Down Powerup that randomly appears in the campaign. It's icon looks like this:

UtLBAQP.png

This powerup temporarily slows down the ball(s) speed by a noticeable amount, making controlling the ball much easier, so you should be collecting this whenever it appears. Note that all balls currently in play will be affected by this when you pick it up. There's a high chance the trophy will unlock naturally as you play through the campaign both times (once on Normal and once on NG+). Once you've collected this powerup 25 times, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

d9fd6e81-70ca-48bd-8ce1-473f0e4b75d8.jpg  Courage (B)

Increase the Bouncer's speed 25 times.

For this trophy, you need to collect the Speed Up Powerup that randomly appears. It's icon looks like this:

PjSicbU.png

This one will temporarily increase the speed of the ball(s) in play. Note that all balls currently in play will be affected by this when you pick it up. This one is a little hard to control so it's recommended you try and get this done and out of the way as soon as possible. When the trophy pops, you can ignore that powerup as much as you like (unless you have really good control with the increased speed, then by all means pick it up as you wish). Once you've picked up the 25th speed boost powerup, the trophy will unlock. As long as you're actively picking up the powerup each time it appears while you play through the campaign twice (once for Normal and once for NG+), there's a high chance this will unlock naturally.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

0494fc55-81e2-45b7-8b7f-ae8ef9e3581a.jpg  Dead Man's Party (B)

Lose all of your lives 10 times.

In the top left corner will be your hearts/lives. In normal mode, you'll start with 3. In NG+, you'll start with 4. For this trophy, you need to exhaust all your hearts so the game stops. Do this 10 times to unlock the trophy.

When you lose all your lives, if you have at least 100 coins available, the game will ask you if you want to buy a heart to continue. Otherwise, you'll just get a game over. (B) Money for Nothing and (B) You Never Give Me Your Money are both associated with the former, so depending on what trophies you have already earned, make sure you choose to either buy a heart or decline as needed.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

f53ca16a-f5a1-4b8f-b35a-c09331319aef.jpg  Deal of the Century (B)

Try each mode at least one time.

There are 7 modes total. You don't need to "finish" them, you just need to start them up. You can do this at any time (all the modes are open from the start) so just make sure you play each one at least once to unlock the trophy.

  • Level Select (Campaign)
  • Marathon Mode
  • Pong Mode
  • Random Mode
  • Shooter Mode
  • Catcher Mode
  • Boss Rush Mode

You'll need to do this as part of the requirements for (G) I Get Around. It's highly recommended to do this trophy either before you start the Campaign or immediately after, and that you do all 7 modes in one go. This way the game registers all 7 modes being completed in the same session. If I Get Around doesn't unlock after you've unlocked all the collectibles and played all the modes, play through each mode again to make sure each one registers.

See (S) Notorious.

e1f31813-5db4-41ee-92b5-65c4bd8e0590.jpg  Enemy (B)

Kill 25 Scarabs.

This is not to be confused with running into the scarabs with Greetings or Salutations (see (B) Pure Concentrated Evil). You need to actually kill the scarab before it hits you. There are a few ways you can do this:

  • Fire a reflector (L1 or R1) and hit the Scarab
  • If you have the Laser Powerup active, you can shoot the Scarabs
  • If you have the Target Powerup active, you can blow up the block with the target on it and, if it's close enough, it'll also blow up the Scarab

Kill 25 Scarabs before they hit you to unlock the trophy. The Scarabs each award you 100 points when killed (200 if the multiplier power-up is active) so you'll be wanting to kill these as often as possible to help boost your score for the Collectible and S Rank score requirements. As such, there's a good chance this trophy will unlock naturally as you play through the campaign both times.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

893aa764-c5c7-4d6f-aff7-53ea56235755.jpg  Golden Parachutes (B)

Collect 50 gold coins.

Out of all of the coin trophies, this one will most likely take you the longest to get, but you should be collecting all the coins that appear anyways as you play through the campaign (both on normal mode and NG+) to boost your score. It is very likely that you'll get this naturally. If you're still short by the time you've finished NG+, you can do one of two things:

  • Play through randomly campaign levels and just collect the coins as they randomly spawn
  • Play Catcher Mode. Though, note on this one, the gold coins don't appear until around Level 10, so you'll have to sit there a bit before you can start collecting them.

Once you've collected your 50th gold coin, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

f39b4452-4553-4a60-9d47-567586072a12.jpg  Hold the Line (B)

Erect 25 shield walls.

For this trophy, you need to collect the Shield Wall Powerup 25 times. It's icon looks like this:

jObaXu5.png

When you do, a temporary wall will appear behind the bumper that caught the powerup as well as behind the one on the opposite side. If 2 bumpers are active, the wall will appear behind both of them. If 4 bumpers are activated, the leftmost and rightmost bumpers (the vertical ones) will share walls and the bottom left/bottom right (the horizontal ones) will share a wall. You'll be wanting to collect all the powerups that appear as you play through the campaign to help you reach the scores required for the Collectibles and S Ranks, so it is very likely this will unlock naturally. It's also an incredibly beneficial powerup so even outside of the points you get for collecting it, you'll want to pick it up as often as possible to help prevent the loss of a ball/life. Once you've activated your 25th wall, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

1671c3b2-6448-4b96-ab80-2bdf692155f0.jpg  I Am A Rock (B)

Destroy 250 blocks with the Heavy Ball.

The Heavy Ball is arguably one of the (if not the) most beneficial powerups in the game, so you should be trying to catch it every time it appears. It's icon looks like this:

eriEX8z.png

Unlike the fireball, when the Heavy Ball is activated, it will (temporarily) turn metallic and will plow through all the blocks in it's path, destroying them all in one hit. It'll only bounce off walls and bumpers. This can make the levels with more tight layouts far easier to complete and drastically cut down the time it takes to complete (the levels) so again, you really want to keep an eye out for it. Note that all balls currently in play will be affected by this when you pick it up. This trophy will most likely unlock naturally as you play through the campaign both times (once on Normal and once on NG+). Once you've destroyed your 250th block with the Heavy Ball, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

082fa5c6-fb15-4df4-a091-7138f329f3b1.jpg  I'd Die Without You (B)

Collect 50 hearts.

There is a really good chance this will unlock naturally as you go for (B) Natural Life. Regardless of that trophy though, you should be going for every heart that appears so you don't have to waste coins on buying one should you happen to run out of lives. The icon looks like this:

Cy0znka.png

They appear randomly so it'll be up to you to keep an eye out for them. If you don't have this trophy by the time you finished the campaign (on both normal and NG+), you can try and grind it out on any of the boss levels (Level 40 is the recommended option) as they are much easier to complete, though really any level will suffice in this grind. Once you've collected the 50th heart, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

b122c04c-315c-417a-804f-402e958e05c4.jpg  Keep Fishin' (B)

Miss 500 pickups.

This is one of the few trophies that may not unlock naturally as you play through the campaign twice as you'll be wanting to collect the pick-ups for additional points. Don't fret if it doesn't unlock before you're done with those runs though, as it's actually really easy to grind out. If you're still short after you've completed the campaign both times (once on Normal and once on NG+), start up Catcher Mode. In this mode, coins will drop from the top and you have to... well, catch them. These coins count as pick-ups, so as they fall, avoid them completely. You'll only lose hearts in this mode only if you get hit by the Scarabs, so essentially you want to avoid everything. You'll only have to play through this mode a few times before you reach 500 and once you do, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

bcd8c46a-d116-4f7b-9cc7-a16ac464812d.jpg  Money For Nothing (B)

Buy more health and die again 10 times.

This trophy will be the opposite of (B) You Never Give Me Your Money and can earned alongside (B) I'd Die Without You. Your hearts/lives are shown in the top left corner. When you lose a ball, you lose a life. When you've exhausted all your hearts, and if you have at least 100 coins, you'll be given the option to either buy a heart to continue or just quit. Choose to buy a heart and then lose that additional life so you die again. Repeat this 9 more times and the trophy will unlock.

This doesn't have to be done all in one run or even in 10 separate runs. As long as you have 100 coins to spare, you can keep buying hearts (and losing them) as needed.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

934f9ac4-5d6d-4f29-84ea-c84d3fd18d69.jpg  Natural Life (B)

Max out your health 10 times.

You'll have Max Health when you have a total of 5 hearts in the top left corner. Playing on normal mode will start you off with 3 hearts while playing on NG+ will start you off with 4. For that reason, it's recommended you wait to work on this trophy until you have to complete the campaign on NG+ as it's far more common to get 1 heart drop instead of 2. You will need a little luck for this as the heart appears randomly, but do your best to stay alive until it does. When you have 5 hearts, a quick message of "MAX HEALTH" will appear in the middle of the screen. Do this 10 times to unlock the trophy.

If you're already at 5 hearts and pick up another one, it'll count as you maxing out your health again, so don't avoid any hearts, even if you're already showing as full.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

544e26a5-9890-47da-a1fc-833d8574f629.jpg  New Skin (B)

Spend 1,000 points on extra health.

You'll get this trophy as you go for (B) Money for Nothing. When you run out of lives, and if you have at least 100 coins, you'll be given the option to buy an extra heart or quit. Choose to buy an extra heart and you'll continue the level from where you died. Buy this extra heart 10 times to spend the 1,000 needed for this trophy.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

f7c88c47-fb7e-40aa-bcb3-598a48720693.jpg  Noticeable One (B)

Increase the multiplier 25 times.

Along with the Heavy Ball Powerup, the Multiplier Powerup is at the top of the list of pickups you will want to really keep an eye out for. It's icon looks like this:

DmTSvlU.png

Collecting it will temporarily double the points given by everything you do: hitting blocks, destroying blocks, hitting things with your reflector, collecting power-ups, killing scarabs, etc. This power-up is especially beneficial as you go for the scores required for the Collectibles and S Ranks in each level. Collect this power-up 25 times to unlock the trophy.

Due to the beneficial nature of this Power-up, there's a very high chance this trophy will unlock naturally as you play through the campaign twice (once on Normal and once on NG+). This Power-up does not stack... sort of. If you already have the x2 Multiplier active and pick up another Multiplier Power-up, you'll remain at x2, but the timer will restart to account for the second power-up.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

1285d03c-9197-47e6-9cb4-ef42aee703c3.jpg  Pretty Penny (B)

Collect 50 bronze coins.

This will most likely unlock naturally as you progress through the campaign (both for normal mode and NG+), but if it doesn't, it's really easy to grind out so don't fret too much. You'll want to actively try and collect all the coins that appear during the campaign to increase your score, giving you a better chance at reaching the score requirements for the Collectibles and S Ranks. If you don't have the trophy by the time you're done with NG+, start up "Catcher Mode". In this mode, coins will fall down from the top and you'll have to catch them at the bottom. The mode will start off with Bronze Coins only, then add Silver, and finally Gold. You can easily grind out the 50 required for this trophy in 1-3 plays, depending on how well you do. Once you've collected your 50th bronze coin, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

11206373-7992-4600-bb2e-dae342877542.jpg  Pure Concentrated Evil (B)

Collide with 25 Scarabs.

This is not to be confused with killing Scarabs for (B) Enemy. The Scarab must hit one of the bumpers for it to count for this trophy. Be mindful of when you do this, though, as when the Scarab hits you, your bumper will shrink and will have its speed decreased for a short period of time, so you want to time it right so you don't accidentally lose a ball/life in the process. This will most likely unlock naturally, especially as you progress through Levels 21-30 as they have 4 bumpers to control and you're bound to get a few directions mixed up every now and then, leaving your bumpers open to being attacked. Once you've been hit with your 25th Scarab, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

aca19fc3-cbe2-426b-9f02-4b544137cfe1.jpg  Stun Gun (B)

Destroy 250 blocks with lasers.

The Laser gun, along with the Heavy Ball and Multiplier, is at the top of the list of Powerups that you'll find to be the most beneficial, especially on levels that have tight layouts and 5+ hit blocks that you need to destroy. It's icon looks like this:

o4z6fcT.png

When you pick it up, your bumper will temporarily be equipped with two laser guns that will shoot at the blocks. One laser shot = 1 hit on each block, so pick your placing wisely as again, this can greatly help you clear through some tough levels. Once you've destroyed your 250th block, the trophy will unlock. Do note that running into a Scarab or collecting the Grow/Shrink power-ups will cancel the guns, so you want to avoid hitting those so your gun remains active for as long as possible.

You can have this powerup active on more than one bumper at a time. While this trophy will most likely unlock naturally, you can easily grind it out should you not have it by the time you finish NG+. Start up Shooter Mode from the main menu. In this mode, your bumpers will already be equipped with lasers and you'll need to shoot blocks that are falling from the top. All of these blocks will count towards this trophy so just keep destroying them as they fall and you'll hit 250 in no time.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

5390b301-5065-4532-9238-ec8f8c47bac8.jpg  Time is Running Out (B)

Use all of your time on any stage.

On any level, try your best to stay alive until the timer in the right corner reaches 0. When you do, sudden death mode will start and alien ships will fly by and destroy the remaining blocks. Each block they destroy will net you -20 points. If you run out of available points, you'll get a game over. Go into sudden death once to unlock this trophy.

Compared to it's pesky cousin the shrinking powerup (see You Learn for more info on that one), the Grow Powerup will make your life a lot easier. It's icon looks like this:

kASnomE.png

When activated, it'll temporarily double the size of the bumper that caught it, making it much easier to block the ball from going out of bounds. You need to pick up this powerup 25 times to unlock the trophy. Due to the beneficial nature of this powerup, you really want to try and collect it every time it appears. As such, it's very likely that this trophy will unlock naturally as you play through the campaign twice. If it doesn't, though, you can easily grind it out in Catcher Mode. In this mode, coins will fall from the top and you need to catch them with your bumpers. Your bumpers will start off normal size and periodically shrink. When they do, the Grow Powerup will begin to fall. Collect it to get your bumpers back to the standard size. You can easily get to 25 pickups in a few plays of this mode, especially if you've already completed the campaign.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

1dcbeb03-a409-4c21-b15c-16b390e3c160.jpg  Walk Away (B)

Play Twin Breaker over five separate sessions.

Depending on how much play time you actively have, there's a chance you'll get this naturally. You simply need to start up the game AND start up any mode 5 separate times to unlock it. Once you've done this your 5th time, the trophy will unlock.

1017d09a-815d-4332-af00-8ad4f6d663bc.jpg  You Learn (B)

Shrink Greetings or Salutations 25 times.

This is one of the few powerups that you want to actively pick up until you get the trophy and then proceed to avoid it like the plague. It's icon looks like this:

cleDWBA.png

When activated, your bumper will temporarily be reduced in size by 50% and it's speed will also be decreased, making it much more difficult to hit the ball should it come in that bumper's direction. Catch the powerup 25 times to unlock the trophy. This will most likely unlock naturally as you play through the campaign both times. If you don't have it by the time you've completed NG+, just keep playing through random campaign levels and wait for it to appear so you can collect it.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

6ac4d0d3-b159-4d2c-9bad-72f869d119b8.jpg  You Never Give Me Your Money (B)

Decline to buy more health 10 times.

This trophy will require you to do the opposite of (B) Money For Nothing and can also be done alongside (B) Dead Man's Party, so long as you have 100 points to spare.

In the top left corner will be your hearts/lives. Each time you lose a ball, you lose a life. When you've exhausted all of your lives, and if you have at least 100 points to spare, you'll be given the option to buy an extra heart to continue playing, or to decline the offer and quit the level. Decline the heart 10 times to unlock the trophy.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

bfd682ad-a1c3-40e6-9cc4-d917965ee60b.jpg  Catch Me I'm Falling (S)

Collect 1,000 pickups.

As you progress through the game, pickups will randomly spawn from the blocks you break as well as the bosses you attack. You'll be wanting to pick up as many as these as possible, not only for most of the other trophies, but also because you get additional points each time you collect them, so they'll greatly aid you in reaching the scores required for the Collectibles and S Ranks. If you somehow don't have this by the time you've finished NG+, you should be pretty close. To grind out the rest, start up Catcher Mode from the main menu. In this mode, coins will drop down from the top and you'll have to catch them with your bumpers. The coins count as pickups, so just keep collecting them until you've reach 1,000. As soon as you do, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

f0b69bfb-fa30-4e45-95dc-d6205d6f5e62.jpg  I Alone (S)

Destroy 80% (or more) of a stage's bricks with Greetings or Salutations.

There's a high chance you'll get this naturally, depending on your ability to split the ball between the 2 (or 4) bumpers (depending on what level you're playing). When a brick breaks, the bumper that touched it last will get the credit for it (the left bumper(s) will go to Greetings and the right bumper(s) will go to Salutations). You can do this on any level, you just need to do your best to make sure one of the bumpers is getting the last hit so it gets the most credit. Power-ups such as the Target, Laser Gun, and Heavy/Fire Ball all count towards this as well, so keep that in mind as the power-ups spawn. Once you've completed a level with one of the bumpers getting at least 80%, the trophy will unlock.

Beat all 40 stages in 24 Earth hours.

Missable.

While this trophy is missable, you'll get two opportunities to get it. You need to complete one run of the campaign in 24 real-time hours or less. The campaign itself is short (especially if you don't go for the Collectible/S Rank scores right away) and will only take you a couple of hours to complete. You can play in multiple sessions, you just need to be done before you hit the 24 hour mark. If you're not able to do this on your normal run of the game, you can try again when you have to do the NG+ run. Beat all 40 in 24 hours and the trophy will be yours.

ad540bc9-258e-4c53-8086-7bf96978c545.jpg  Notorious (S)

Earn 20 S-Ranks.

This trophy won't be nearly as bad as it sounds. The S Rank Scores are all going to be higher than the score required for the Collectibles, but as long as you're playing smart, it shouldn't be an issue to get the 20 required for the trophy. The scores you need to reach for each level are as follows:

  • Level 1: 1700
  • Level 2: 2000
  • Level 3: 1750
  • Level 4: 2000
  • Level 5: 2500
  • Level 6: 1800
  • Level 7: 2200
  • Level 8: 1500
  • Level 9: 2100
  • Level 10: 2000
  • Level 11: 1500
  • Level 12: 1800
  • Level 13: 2200
  • Level 14: 1750
  • Level 15: 1850
  • Level 16: 1750
  • Level 17: 1700
  • Level 18: 1500
  • Level 19: 1650
  • Level 20: 1800
  • Level 21: 1600
  • Level 22: 1500
  • Level 23: 1850
  • Level 24: 1900
  • Level 25: 2100
  • Level 26: 1500
  • Level 27: 1500
  • Level 28: 1650
  • Level 29: 1950
  • Level 30: 1800
  • Level 31: 2100
  • Level 32: 1500
  • Level 33: 1500
  • Level 34: 2000
  • Level 35: 2000
  • Level 36: 1600
  • Level 37: 1400
  • Level 38: 1800
  • Level 39: 1600
  • Level 40: 2800

To get them, you want to make sure you are doing a few things:

  • Pick up every powerup that appears (they all grant you points in addition to their effects)
  • Fire your reflectors often. Every time they hit the ball, you'll get an additional 10 points (20 if the multiplier is active)
  • Shoot any Scarab that appears with your reflector (these are worth 100 points, 200 if you have the multiplier active)
  • Finish as fast as you can to get an additional time bonus
  • Try your best not to lose a life as you'll lose 25 points each time you do
  • Don't opt to buy the heart if you run out of lives unless you have a high enough score to where it won't really make a difference

If you're having trouble getting these on Normal Mode, you'll more than likely get a handful when you go through NG+ (getting an S+ rank will count towards this trophy) as you'll be getting more points for each block since they'll take more hits to destroy. The levels will always have the same layout, but the powerups that appear will be random, so you'll need just a tad bit of luck on some levels to get the score required. Luckily you only need 20 and not all 40, so once you've earned your 20th S/S+ rank, the trophy will unlock.

You can track your progress towards this trophy by going to the "Trophy Room" and then "Stats".

7b1ec782-b00f-4894-84c2-4e4790f354af.jpg  Two Princes (S)

Destroy the same amount of blocks with Greetings and Salutations on one stage.

It's highly recommended you actively work on this after you've completed the campaign both times (once for Normal mode and once for NG+) as there's a very high chance you'll unlock it naturally by just playing the game normally. If you still don't have it by the time you're done, start up any level that has an even number of blocks (see the list below) and do your best to evenly distribute the points for each bumper. The boss levels are highly recommended (especially Level 40) as the level ends when you've defeated the boss, not when you've destroyed all the bricks, giving you a better chance to make sure each side destroys the same amount. Once you have an even 50/50 split between the two bumpers, the trophy will unlock.

The levels with an even number of blocks are as follows (the boss levels - 10, 20, 30, and 40 - are not listed but can also be used if you count the blocks you break with each bumper/ship):

  • Level 2 (28)
  • Level 4 (30)
  • Level 5 (50)
  • Level 7 (32)
  • Level 11 (14)
  • Level 12 (18)
  • Level 13 (44)
  • Level 15 (24)
  • Level 16 (28)
  • Level 17 (30)
  • Level 18 (24)
  • Level 19 (24)
  • Level 23 (18)
  • Level 24 (16)
  • Level 26 (22)
  • Level 28 (38)
  • Level 35 (32)
  • Level 36 (18)
  • Level 37 (20)
  • Level 38 (26)
  • Level 39 (28)

You do need to complete the level for this trophy to unlock. Getting game over will reset the progress and you'll have to try again.

5bda0298-fcb5-4c09-8efb-5f00cde417bc.jpg  Uncommon (S)

Collect 10 different types of pickups on one stage.

This is another trophy that you want to wait until after you've completed the campaign both times to actively try for as there's a high chance that you'll get it naturally, especially as you go for (S) Notorious and (G) In Books. The types of collectibles are as follows:

  • Bronze Coin
  • Silver Coin
  • Gold Coin
  • Grow
  • Shrink
  • Ball Speed Up
  • Ball Speed Down
  • Multiball
  • Shield Wall
  • Multiplier
  • Health (Heart)
  • Fire Ball
  • Heavy Ball
  • Laser Guns
  • Target

You need to pick at least 10 of these in one level to unlock the trophy. The later levels will have more blocks, which will give you more opportunity to collect a plethora of powerups, so if you still don't have it by the time you've finished both runs of the campaign, start up any level and just keep pushing for it. Once you've collected your 10th unique powerup, the trophy will unlock.

d752473c-aa89-4b70-9deb-99954dbef842.jpg  In Books (G)

Unlock all 40 collectibles.

There is one Collectible associated with each of the 40 levels in the campaign and they're all score related. You need to reach a certain score in order to unlock them. The required scores are as follows:

  • Level 1: 1450
  • Level 2: 1750
  • Level 3: 1500
  • Level 4: 1750
  • Level 5: 2000
  • Level 6: 1450
  • Level 7: 1850
  • Level 8: 1250
  • Level 9: 1750
  • Level 10: 1750
  • Level 11: 1250
  • Level 12: 1450
  • Level 13: 1800
  • Level 14: 1500
  • Level 15: 1600
  • Level 16: 1500
  • Level 17: 1450
  • Level 18: 1250
  • Level 19: 1400
  • Level 20: 1550
  • Level 21: 1350
  • Level 22: 1250
  • Level 23: 1600
  • Level 24: 1650
  • Level 25: 1850
  • Level 26: 1250
  • Level 27: 1250
  • Level 28: 1400
  • Level 29: 1700
  • Level 30: 1550
  • Level 31: 1850
  • Level 32: 1250
  • Level 33: 1250
  • Level 34: 1750
  • Level 35: 1750
  • Level 36: 1350
  • Level 37: 1150
  • Level 38: 1550
  • Level 39: 1350
  • Level 40: 2100

When you've completed the level (and have earned enough points), you'll get a "NEW CODEX AVAILABLE" message on the post screen (where you select 'next level', 'replay level', etc). You don't actually need to read these, you just need to unlock them. If you want to read them, though, they can be found in the Trophy Room. Once you've collected all 40, the trophy will unlock. If you don't get the score on your first run of the campaign, you have another (and far more likely successful) chance to get it when you do NG+. If you still don't have it after both runs are complete, you can use level select to replay any level you're still missing the Codex from.

You'll need to collect all 40 for (G) I Get Around.

This will unlock once you've completed the game and the final cutscene starts.

This trophy was patched in version 1.02. If you are playing on a previous version, do not skip the final cutscene. This includes hitting both :cross: and :triangle:. Wait for the trophy to unlock before pressing any buttons.

Beat New Game+.

New Game+ will unlock after you've completed the campaign the first time. When you get to level select, you'll be able to trigger NG+ on/off with :triangle:. You need to play through all 40 levels to unlock the trophy. Playing only level 40 won't work. With that being said, though, you can do them in any order you like. If you're not sure which ones you're missing, look for the S+ ranks on the level select screen. With NG+ turned on, if the level has a "+" next to the rank score, it means you've completed it. If it doesn't have a rank, it means you haven't completed it yet. Beat all 40 levels on NG+ to unlock the trophy.

This trophy was patched in version 1.03. With that patch installed, you need to play through all 40 levels on NG+ for the trophy. On an earlier version of the game (1.00, 1.01, or 1.02), you only need to play level 40 again to get the trophy.

It looks like there will be at least 3 more lists for this game if EastAsiaSoft sticks to their usual release pattern :

Asia PS4

Asia Vita

Asia Retail Vita

Right now they're just looking at adding 2 stacks (1 PS4 and 1 Vita), but we won't know for sure until around May when the physical release ships and the trophies are submitted to Sony. We gotta play this one by ear for now =]

IIRC I got a good chunk of maxing out hearts towards "Natural Life" done during marathon mode.

At end of all levels of getting my ranks I still needed hundreds of missed pickups for "Gone Fishin" so I played catcher mode and didn't even touch controller. Took maybe 5 minutes or so. I didn't check if picking up coins in this mode counted towards any trophies.

Also I had more luck getting A and S ranks by playing on normal mode instead of plus mode. On plus many of the levels I ran out of time so no bonus and missed the ball more often.

I am stuck getting Walk Away on Vita. What constitutes as closing the app?

I have started up the app all the way to starting Level 1, then I quit to main menu and close the app. I have done this on multiple occasions. Any thoughts?

It's exactly what it sounds like, shutting the game down completely and returning to the XMB then having to relaunch it to play again.

I've done that like 10+ times! hahaha I will keep trying. I was in airplane more and now I am trying off of it. We will see when it decides to pop. Thanks!

Idk how it, but I finally got it!
