INTRODUCTION Welcome to Indivisible, an indie game by Lab Zero Games and published by 505 Games. It's a 2D side-scroller, a platformer, and a party-style action RPG, all in one. It's a fun game with an interesting, unique story, and has a lot more depth than one would expect of such a game in terms of information, options, and more. There are certain avenues or mechanics that they introduced without really expanding enough, such as an Affinity Rating system, but overall this is a fun game, not too long and not too short, that most will enjoy. If you are coming into this guide first, please see the full Indivisible ~ Trophy Guide & Roadmap for a detailed guide on the game and the trophies. WALKTHROUGH Please note that at the end of Chapter 5: Port Maerifa, you are given the choice in which order you want to visit the next 3 places. My playthrough (and this guide) is in this order: Iron Kingdom > Kaanul > Tai Krung City. See below for the full chapter list order of my playthrough. Prologue Chapter 1: Ashwat Forest Chapter 2: Fortress Vimana Chapter 3: Mount Sumeru Chapter 4: Almutah Sands Chapter 5: Port Maerifa Chapter 6: Iron Kingdom (1st Visit) Chapter 7: Kaanul Chapter 8: Tai Krung City Chapter 9: Iron Kingdom (2nd Visit) Chapter 10: Climbing Mount Sumeru Chapter 11: Back to Ashwat Chapter 12: Free Tai Krung City Chapter 13: Cleansing Iron Kingdom Chapter 14: Save Kaanul Chapter 15: Final Battle CONTROLS IN THE WORLD: BASIC: : Jump : Attack : Special : Focus (While holding , you can access your Inner Realm by pressing or, if standing near a Save Bell, press to save.) while running: Dash : Shoot an arrow. (Hold to aim.) : Guard ABILITIES: Axe Hang: While airborne, press and hold to dig your axe into a wall. Release to jump higher. (Can only use once while in the air. Count resets once you land on something. *Note: Wall jumping does not count as a landing.) Hekura Hustle: Press as you are running holding down or . >>>> TIP: In Ch12, this upgrades to Maha Heruka Hustle, allowing you to remain in Heruka even after jumping off a wall. Pirate's Leap: While standing still, press + to use your spear to perform a very high jump. Harpoon Toss: Press to throw your spear. It also knocks back enemies. Indr's Lesson: Press a moment before being hit, then press to counter with a heavy punch. (Automatically begins the battle.) Earth's Insight: Press a moment before being hit, then press to counter by throwing a spear. (Automatically begins the battle.) Nature's Bloom: Hold and press to shoot a special arrow that creates a safe spot on spikes. Nature's Embrace: Hold and press to shoot a special arrow at an enemy that petrifies them. You can then use them as platforms. (Note that they do recover after a few seconds.) Scallywag Spring: While airborne, press + to safely hop on dangerous terrain (eg. spikes), like a pogo stick. Release to stop. >>>> TIP: After you first start, keep holding down , but you can let go of the joystick and thus use it to move while you pogo. (I must admit, it took me a long while to figure out how to move safely with this.) Barnacle Grip: While airborne, press and to use your spear to stick into the ceiling. (It may say it only works on glowing ceilings, but this isn't true.) >>>> TIP: The game doesn't properly explain how to use this and move at the same time. After you initially use it, you need to keep holding and then keep tapping to move. World Splitter: While airborne, press to smash downward and break floor barriers. Savage Divide: Press or + to dash forward in Heruka, which can break certain objects & barriers. Hold to fly further. (Can also be used in air.) Goddess Hand: Press to perform an attack that can break through certain enemies' defenses. (Each use after the first consumes Iddhi.) Air Dash: While airborne, press to dash in mid-air horizontally. Hold to fly farther. Divine Wheel: You begin only able to dash forward/backward () but it eventually upgrades to 8-way dash ability. You can use it to remain in the air almost indefinitely, but you do lose a little health. (Can also be performed by double tapping a direction.) Sky Splitter: Press + to reach high areas and break ceilings. Hold to ascend even higher. IN BATTLE: Battles begin when Ajna hits (or is hit) by an enemy and is not fought out in the explorable world but rather is loaded into a new screen. It is not real-time combat nor is it exactly turn-based, instead being a rather unique combination of the two. When in the battle screen, each of the four characters has their own individual attack button. (This button will be indicated both in game and in this guide as "atk".) Which button is which character's atk is not based on who it is but rather in which position they are — is the left-most character's (Ajna's default position) atk button. is the character in the top spot's atk button. is the character on the right side's atk button. is the character on the bottom's atk button. Ajna is the only character whose attacks change throughout the game as she gets various weapons: Axe (Found in Ch1) Bow (Found in Ch2) * Spear (Found in Ch5 – This is the only weapon she doesn't use in combat, but can be used in the main world by pressing .) * Scythe (OPTIONAL – Found by recruiting Ren. See here: LINK.) Most characters have three different attacks: atk button (normal basic attack) +atk +atk Almost all characters' attacks are so widely different that there is no way to define a specific feature or use for the up- or down-atk that can be applied generally. The only relevant general use is that they are needed to break enemy shields, which needs one hit from each direction. It can be in any order but needs to be quick. If there is too long of a break in between hits, it won't count. IMPORTANT: Please note that not all characters have attacks that can work for this. For example, Ginseng's +atk heals the party. There are even characters who do have separate up and down attacks but which do not count for this either. The characters who can break shields are: Ajna, Razmi, Tungar, Quadira, Yan, and Naga Rider. In the beginning, in battle you will see one atk button under each character. When the button is full and lit, this means you can attack. After finishing the first few chapters, this will increase to 2 and then 3 — for example, you will see three squares in a row ( ) under Ajna — and then (much later) even 5, now giving you the ability to store at max five attacks. You can activate each one all together, spread out, save them, etc, however you please. Once used, they will regenerate after a few seconds. NOTE: While any attack is going on, no one's spent-attacks will refresh. You must stop attacking to allow your party's attacks to refresh. IDDHI: In battles, at the top left of your screen, you will see your Iddhi gage. You will start with only 1 bar to fill, but after a few chapters you will eventually have 3 and even 5 later on. Almost all characters have their own special Iddhi attacks and you can choose to use 1, 2, 3, or all 5 bars at once. (NOTE: You'll eventually get 7 bars but that's only at the last boss, so you won't be able to use them unless you do an NG+ playthrough) Normally, the difference between using 1 or 3 is a massive damage boost. However, some characters' Iddhi attacks can actually widely vary with different bars. But it's important to note that when using a character's Iddhi power, whether you use 1, 3, or all 5 bars, it will only consume one attack. For whatever reason, Kushi, Phoebe, Yan, and Leilani do not have Iddhi attacks. Edited December 30, 2021 by ixii Editorial Sweep
ixii
CHARACTERS Here is a list of every character in the game who can join you along the way, as well as the location at which you can recruit them. I've listed them below in the order in which you will meet them during a normal playthrough. Every character (except Dhar) also has what is called an Incantation Resolution quest, which is basically a personal quest or a character loyalty quest. However, each quest has specific conditions you must meet before they unlock and you can access them. Once you've met the specific conditions listed below, visit that character in your Inner Realm and speak to them, and they will give you the quest. Technically, you only need to do one for the Platinum ( Unlocking One's True Potential), and it is unclear if doing these quests has any effect at all on your game or gives you any bonuses other than unlocking the 4th color/outfit for that character. IMPORTANT: Some of these are OPTIONAL characters, meaning that you have to find and initiate dialogue on your own as they are not going to automatically join you as part of the story like most of the party members you'll find. Some will join easily but some will require you to complete a quest first. Nearly all of the optional characters are not missable — you can recruit them later on if you want — except for one: Lanshi. If you do not speak to him on your first trip to Lhan while you're talking to the Monks, then he will not show up in Mt. Sumeru a bit later on. This is only in a very specific part in the story so you cannot go back and get him later. That said, you do not need to recruit any of them to finish the story or the Platinum. Still, some of the strongest or most resourceful party members in the game are optional. DHAR: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party at the end of the Prologue. QUEST CONDITIONS: Dhar is the only member who does not have a personal quest. RAZMI: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in Chapter 1: Ashwat Forest. QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). GINSENG & HONEY: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). ZEBEI: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in Chapter 2: Fortress Vimana PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). NOTE: Zebei and Kushi share the same personal quest. TUNGAR: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: Towards the end of Chapter 2: Fortress Vimana, you'll need to take the elevator up to Lord Ravanavar. After you go up, climb until you reach a Sentry, and you'll see a breakable wall to the left. Tungar will be inside that room. You can also see it on your map as it will be indicated by a blue flame. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12) KUSHI: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in the beginning of Chapter 3: Mount Sumeru. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). NOTE: Zebei and Kushi share the same personal quest. THORANI: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in the beginning of Chapter 4: Almutah Sands. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). QADIRA: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in the beginning of Chapter 5: Port Maerifa. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). BAOZHAI: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in Chapter 5: Port Maerifa. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13) PHOEBE: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: Towards the end of Chapter 5: Port Maerifa, if you go to the right after you fought the Iron troops standing on the far-left side of dock, you'll find a rather large, muscular woman with purple hair standing with kids. You can speak to her (press when standing in front of her) and she will invite you to duel her. Run all the way to the right back outside of town, and she will be waiting for you. It's not a hard fight. Defeat her and she'll join you. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: To unlock her personal quest, you must have recruited Tungar and have beat the boss Maha Heruka (Chapter 11: Back to Ashwat). ZAHRA: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: In Chapter 5: Port Maerifa, go through the city until you see a blue dog. Climb up the platforms above the dog using Pirate Leap until you reach the highest one. There will be a Ringsel to the left, but up to the right you will see another platform with several people on it. Leap up to it and go to the end where you will see a woman named Zahra holding an Oud (a large musical instrument). Speak to her and she will give you a sidequest to collect 3 items from 3 different locations to repair the Oud. Iron Kingdom – Monster Tooth: If you follow the Ringsel guide, you will get this easily. In the entrance to slums, up on a platform to the left that you'll need to Leap to, you'll need to use Kampan Corkscrew to go to the next room. You'll see a Ringsel there and a small purple creature. Battle it to get the item. Kaanul – Monster Wood: In Kaanul, after you learn the Nature's Bloom ability, use it directly to the right of you on the spikes and climb up. Keep doing it until you're at the top level, then go to the right hand side where you'll find a green monster you need. Tai Krung – Monster Guts: You can find this item in the dead end above the main street of the city. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). NUNA: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins in Chapter 7: Kaanul. You'll come across her at the beginning of this area and she will join you. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). HUNOCH & XIBOCH: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: Chapter 7: Kaanul. After you beat the Serpent Queen during your first visit, return to the arena where you first met the twins and talk to them to begin their recruitment quest. Return to the entrance of the city, where you will have to fight Camazotz, who will be a fairly tough fight, so make sure to bring a healer along. Return to them after winning and they will join. (Once you pick up the quest from the twins, if you open your map, you'll see Camazotz's location marked by a white scroll.) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). YAN: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: Chapter 8: Tai Krung. When you get to the Save Bell near Mara's nightclub, use the elevator to the right to go down to the VIP room where Yan will be. Face the soldier to free her and she will join you. NOTE: There will be a dancer there that you will actually be able to free, but not until later on. (See my Video Guide) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13). LEILANI: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: After defeating the MOLOCH Boss in Chapter 9: Iron Kingdom (2nd Visit), return to the first Save Bell in the beginning of the Iron Kingdom. Speak to her to recruit her. (See my Video Guide) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Find Thorani in the Ocean of Milk. LATIGO: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: In Chapter 9: Iron Kingdom (2nd Visit), you'll need to find a couple posters next to each other on a wall, one showing a blonde man who looks a lot like Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 and the other resembling a large man (or woman?) with a giant club over their shoulder. When you look at them, Latigo will appear and join you after a short dialogue scene. (See my Video Guide) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). LANSHI: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: You'll first need to find and speak to him during your first visit to the Temple of Lahn, but he won't join you then. A little later on, as you climb Mount Sumeru (Chapter 10), you'll find him near a Save Bell. Speak to him there and he will join you. NOTE: If you do not speak to him first in Lahn, he will not be there in Mt. Sumeru and you will not be able to recruit him. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). NAGA RIDER: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in Chapter 11 on your way to the Ocean of Milk. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13), Save Kaanul (Chapter 14). ixii
REN: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: After you find Thorani in the Ocean of Milk, return to Tai Krung. Open your map and you will see the blue flame icon indicating the location of an Incantation. Go there and you can confront Ren after which he will join you. NOTE: If you recruit Ren, you will unlock a new weapon for Ajna: the Sickle! It will add new combos in fights and hit enemies while you move in the world with +atk ( by default). (See my Video Guide) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12). (See my Video Guide) KAMPAN: Main Character. Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: Joins party in Chapter 13: Your last visit to the Iron Kingdom. PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13). BONUS NPC CHARACTERS The following are extra characters who will join you along the way but who cannot fight or be selected via Party Select. You can find these characters in your Inner Realm and each one offers you something different. THARWA: Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: In the Iron Kingdom, you'll come across a Seer named Tharwa. (She's unmissable; merely running by her will automatically trigger a dialogue cutscene where she joins you.) USE: Visit her inside your Inner Realm and she tells you about your current quest goal. (So far, she seems useless.) GEORGE: Story-related and cannot be missed. LOCATION: In the docks in Port Maerifa (Chapter 5). When you run by him, a dialogue cutscene will automatically begin, and he will join you. USE: When you go into your Inner Realm, you can fight training battles with George. (Again, not sure if it's useful or has any benefit for you.) ASIRI: OPTIONAL. LOCATION: Kaanul's Haven. You'll know it's her as she is in bright red clothing and has a llama next to her. USE: Visit her in your Inner Realm to change the color of any playable character's clothes. ixii
INCARNATION QUESTS Each character has certain conditions that must be met before you can unlock their quest, and even when that becomes available, often you still won't be able to do them as you won't have learned certain necessary abilities to access certain locations. Once you've met their condition (some for completing Chapter 11, but usually the completion of Chapters 12, 13, and/or 14), you'll need to visit them in your Inner Realm to begin the quest. Beyond doing one for the trophy, the purpose for doing these quests is mostly unclear. Right now, the only benefit you seem to get is unlocking that character's fourth & final color scheme. I'm unaware of any other bonuses, such as whether it increases their stats or something else. As usual, the following will be in the order their quest first becomes available. PHOEBE (OPTIONAL.) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: To unlock her personal quest, you must have recruited Tungar and have beat the boss Maha Heruka (Chapter 11: Back to Ashwat). QUEST: Phoebe's quest is located in Port Maerifa. Go to the Tower of Wisdom to speak to her children before going to the right, outside the Port (the same place where you first dueled Phoebe). Keep going past the Save Bell to the oasis on the upper level. Speak to Phoebe and, after a short dialogue scene, you'll need to duel her and Tungar together. Once you win, you'll complete the quest. REN (OPTIONAL.) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12). QUEST: After you speak to Ren, you'll first have to visit Port Maerifa and climb up to the VIP Bar. (When you see a blue cloth roof over a stall and a small blue dog, climb up from there to the very top then go to the right. This is the same location you found Zahra.) There you'll need to speak to his contact, Felicity. Return to the Tower and take the Chakra Gate to Tai Krung City. Retrace your steps back to where you fought Mara's 3 daughters (the same path you took to reach the Garuda boss) and you'll see a hooded figure who you'll have to fight. Win the fight and that's it! TUNGAR (OPTIONAL.) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12). QUEST: Once you speak to him, visit Ginseng's parents in Tai Krung and speak to them. Return to Ashwat via the Chakra Gate and head left through the town. Eventually you'll reach a creature you'll have to defeat to finish this quest. LEILANI (OPTIONAL.) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Find Thorani in the Ocean of Milk and Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12). QUEST: After you speak to her, head to Port Maerifa and cross the town until you see the stall with a blue cloth roof and a small blue dog. Speak to the merchant there to obtain the first ingredient. Once you get it, climb directly up from here to reach the VIP Bar at the top. (This is the same location you found Zahra.) There you'll speak to Felicity who will give you the second ingredient. When you're done, head all the way left through the city and speak to Baozhai to enter your ship. Speak to Leilani here and agree to help her fight the sea monster. Once you win, you'll complete the quest! KAMPAN PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13). QUEST: Once you speak to her and get the quest, head to Port Maerifa and once again climb up to the VIP Bar (climb up from the stall with a blue cloth roof and a small blue dog) and visit Felicity there. Once you're done with that, leave and go to the upper area of the Almutah Sands until you reach a chimney, which you'll notice as it is blowing air downwards. Jump into the chimney and climb up (you'll need to be in Heruka to do so) and continue until you reach a bird. Defeat it then return to the Iron Kingdom. Continue all the way to the right until you reach the dead end slime wall, right by which will be a homeless-looking man sitting on the ground. Speak to him. Once that's done with, you'll need to go into the mid-level of the slums to speak with a butcher, who honestly looks like a ghost with a beard, and who holds a paper bag in his hand with blood seeping out. Finally, go down to the lowest level and all the way to the left until you reach another dead end covered in slime, which you'll know as there's a small trash can on fire burning in the background. Speak to the man there to finish the mission. BAOZHAI PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13). QUEST: Once you talk to her, return to the Iron Kingdom and speak to Mary who should now be early on, standing with Euronymous right by the port. You'll then need to proceed to the Factory, all the way to where you fought Mary as the Slime Queen, and to a room just below there. Confront Barbarossa and after the battle, hop in the Chakra Gate and go to Tai Krung. Go left from the Gate and continue until you reach the Ocean of Milk to conclude the quest. YAN (OPTIONAL.) PERSONAL QUEST CONDITIONS: Free Tai Krung City (Chapter 12), Cleanse Iron Kingdom (Chapter 13). QUEST: Speak to her then head to Port Maerifa. Head all the way right to the entrance of the city where there will be a sign, which you'll need to place a poster on. Next go to the Iron Kingdom and go all the way to the right until you reach the dead end, where you'll put another poster. Finally, head to Tai Krung and go to the Nightclub. Yan will perform a dance there and, when it's done, so is this quest. Edited November 9, 2020 by ixii Added more quest walkthroughs.

ixii
If you know or see any information you think I'm missing or is incorrect, please let me know, or have tips you want to add, etc. It's a shame that so few people seem to have played this! When I can, I'll post a full text walkthrough of all of the personal quests, and I'll also be posting another supplemental guide for the collectibles (108 Ringsels) soon.
