Atarster
Estimated trophy difficulty: 7/10 (With the backup save exploit) 10/10 (Without the exploit) (Platinum Difficulty Rating) Offline trophies: 21 (4(B), 9(S), 7(G), 1(P)) Online trophies: 0 Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 20-30+ hours (Depends on your skill) (Estimated Time to Platinum) Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 of each game Number of missable trophies: None Glitched trophies: None Does difficulty affect trophies?: Some trophies can be done on any difficulty but Victory Lap has to be done on the Medium setting. Do trophies stack?: No, there's only the PS4 version. Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats available, however the settings for some games will not disable any trophies. Additional peripherals required?: Yes, you need 2 controllers for certain trophies. Welcome to Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 3, the third collection of original Atari arcade and 2600/VCS games ported to the PS4 with trophy support. Also, this is the first collection that contains some of the Atari 5200 games. Like Volumes 1 & 2, the trophies are hard and annoying. For some people who have played the games before shouldn't have any problems at all but the Platinum is still not an easy feat. Anyway, good luck and have fun! Like Volumes 1 & 2, the backup save exploit for this collection works and will make some of the trophies easier. See here: 1. Pause the game and quit out to the menu. 2. Quit the application . 3. Go to settings . 4. Go to save management . 5. Go to saved data in system storage . 6. Copy it to the USB or the Plus Cloud Storage. 7. Select your save for Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 1, Vol. 2, or Vol. 3 . 8. Simply hit Copy to the USB/Upload to the Cloud Storage. 9. If you have it on your drive/cloud storage, hit yes to overwrite your file. 10. Go back to your game and you will continue where you left off. You can also refer to this video: Step 1: The Quick and Easy Trophies For those trophies you can get without any problems at all. In particular, one trophy you must get an extended play in Monte Carlo while playing on the Medium setting so you cannot change the difficulty at all. Also, trying all of the games is a very simple part during this step as well but don't forget to kill the Imp from the game, "Wizard" for the Atari 2600. Trophies earned while completing this step: Unearthed A Full Belly 3-Alarmer Victory Lap Imp-ressive Step 2: The Scoring Trophies In this step, you must score at least amount of points that the trophies said and there's only one high score related trophy for an arcade game. Unfortunately, some of the scoring related trophies are from some of the Atari 2600 games so you cannot change the amount of lives. However, you can change the difficulty to make them easier (example: Using Game 0 (Children's Version) in Yars' Return). Trophies earned while completing this step: Sabotage Savant Maze Evader Yars Strike Back Step 3: The Hard & Annoying Trophies In this step, some of the trophies will make you want to pull your hair out because some of them are hard and annoying. Fortunately, you can use the backup exploit to make them less difficult. Furthermore, there was a trophy that you will need to complete the whole game of Xari Arena, so see more for details. Also, shooting down 65 planes before refueling and then scoring 90 points overall in Air Raiders will be a very annoying so this will take you a lot of tries. Trophies earned while completing this step: I Have a Headache Safety Patrol Skywriting Undefeated Triple Ace Commander 8-Bit Slugger We Don't Actually Need a Photograph Step 4: Clean Up If you haven't gotten any of the trophies from the previous steps or the trophies you haven't gotten yet (like completing a level from the arcade Canyon Bomber), you will need them in order to get the Platinum. Once you have the Platinum, you are finished with the hard Atari collection for the PS4! Atarster
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/72d.jpg Platinum Trophy Earn all trophies Congratulations Atari Master, you got all of the trophies from Atari Flashback Classics: Vol. 3! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/82b.jpg Unearthed Try every game This is a very simple trophy. You must play all of the games from the entire collection, just like the previous two collections. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/25a.jpg A Full Belly Score 100 or more in Frog Pond This trophy is a piece of cake, just score 100 points or more in Frog Pond to get it. You must eat the flies before they fly away. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/5a6.jpg 3-Alarmer Get Extended Play in Fire Truck with two players This trophy is pretty easy. You will need 2 controllers to play the game. You must keep driving until the screen says "Extended Play". Do be careful not to crash, because that will slow you down. If you did not get enough points, you will need to start over. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/be7.jpg Victory Lap Get Extended Play in Monte Carlo at Medium setting This trophy is pretty easy but it has to be done on the Medium setting. I recommend using Track 2 to score at least 170 or more to get extended play but if you did not get enough points, you have to retry. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/e1d.jpg Sabotage Savant Reach a score of 20,000 or higher in Saboteur In this game, you must score at least 20,000 points before you run out of lives. The first segment is to stop the rocket. During this segment, you must shoot the Qotile Construction Robots (which are blue robots) because they build the rocket. You must not shoot at Gorfons, because they will steal the rocket parts but watch out the Master Robot (which is the top one) because they will shoot you. The Master Robot's shot can be bounced up to you, later in the game as well as the side bullets come from left or right. When the first segment ends before the rocket touches the top screen, you will gain some bonus points. In the second segment, you must destroy the Warhead on the bottom (which are blocks). You have to shoot the zig zag projectiles at the Master Robot but make sure they hit the blocks but you have the time limit. If you destroy all of the blocks before the time runs out, you will gain some extra points and skip the third segment but if not, you won't get any points. Thus failing the second segment will be sending you to the third segment to shoot the remaining blocks but you must shoot at the bullets before they hit you. If they hit you too much, you will fail this segment and not getting any of the extra points. If you score enough points, the trophy is all yours. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/45b.jpg We Don't Actually Need a Photograph Complete all 32 levels in Xari Arena This is the hardest trophy in this collection, because you must complete all 32 levels in Xari Arena without both players dying. This can be done on your own, with CPU or with your friend but it is not easy at all! When the players die (depending in what mode), the game will end and you have to start all over again. In this game, you control the paddle to destroy all the balls without getting all of your blocks destroyed but you can't destroy the balls unless you touch at least one pyro blast (which was a spinning fire ball) and you can carry up to four of them. If you have any of the pyro blasts, you can destroy the balls. You can use the extinguisher to destroy the pyro blasts if they are destroying your blocks critically. When you destroy all of the balls, the level will complete. After each three waves, the game will get more difficult because the balls and pyro blasts will shoot faster than they did before. When you complete all 32 levels, congratulations! The trophy will be yours to keep. Tips & Strategies: * You can start the game with CPU as your partner but sometimes it will play accurately and other times it will not. * You must save after you beat a level but before you start the next level. Refer to the Roadmap for more details on this exploit. * Spamming the (Pause) button on your controller will slow the game down and you have more time to react to destroy the balls. * Take breaks when you're too stressed. * When you or your partner dies, you must reload your save. * Make sure the level is complete with both players. * When either a player dies before the level completes, the player won't come back. * Don't start the game without a CPU partner! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/3a0.jpg I Have a Headache Get to round 10 in Holey Moley This trophy is literally doable because getting to round 10 in Holey Moley won't be as easy as you think. You must whack the moles to score during a level but you must score at least 300 points or higher to complete the level. If you score below 300 points, the screen will say "Sorry! No bonus!" and the game will end. In later levels, sometimes the acorns will pop up but you never hit them because you will lose some points. Make sure you hit the king mole when he pops out anytime to score more points than hitting a regular mole. If you reach level 10, you got this trophy but keep in mind, the in-game music is totally short, repetitive and annoying. You can mute the TV to concentrate more. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/187.jpg Salvage Master Retrieve at least 6 treasures in Aquaventure In Aquaventure, you must get at least six treasure chests before you lose all of your lives. You must swim down to the bottom while avoiding some fish or shooting them. If you shoot a fish, the torpedo will come out and hurt you. When you swim back to the top after you get a treasure, the mermaid will show. You have to touch her to progress the next level but the game will be more difficult because the bottom will be a longer way down to get a chest. Keep in mind, you must keep an eye at your air! When it runs out, you lose a life. When you get your sixth chest, the trophy is yours but if not, you must try again. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/dad.jpg Excavation Clear the level in Canyon Bomber Like the trophy from Volume 1 when you complete a level in Canyon Bomber (Atari 2600 Version), you must complete a level this time in the arcade version. The AI will help you shoot down all of the blocks but it may lose all of its chances depending how many misses you use. You can set up to six misses but if you missed all of your chances, the game will be over. Good luck! Edited March 14, 2019 by Atarster
Atarster
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/7aa.jpg Maze Evader Get to the top of the local leaderboard in Maze Invaders This is the only high score related trophy in the collection, you have to score enough points to get this trophy. The high score in this game is 39,175. You can change the settings to make this trophy easier. You must pay attention at the watermelon because it will give you 10,000 points when you collect it. You can shoot at enemies but some will not be killed because they stun for a couple of seconds. Try to aim for triple points because getting them will complete a level without shooting at all. To complete a level, you must collect all of the fruit. After you collect all of the fruit, the green doors will appear, as well as the red doors if you use the same door you use before. When you score enough points, the trophy will be yours. Recommended Settings: Amount of Lives: 5 Difficulty: Easy http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/725.jpg Safety Patrol Clear the level in Avalanche This trophy could be annoying because the controls are annoying but fortunately, you can change the settings to make them less problematic. You can also change the setting to miss five times. You will need to complete the level without losing all of your chances. You must catch all of the rocks without any one of them touching the bottom. The game will get harder during a level because you lose some paddles and they get smaller. The smallest rocks are a pain to catch because they fall down faster than any of the rocks. At the near end of the level, you have one paddle left but very small to catch the rocks harder than before. When you catch all of the rocks, the level will complete and the trophy unlocks. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/58b.jpg Skywriting Spell SKYDIVER This trophy is pretty tricky. You must spell "SKYDIVER" during the game. You must jump out of the plane depending what letter is flashing at the bottom of the screen. You must land at your bar but if do not land at your bar, falling down on the ground without using your parachute or fall out of the side screen, you won’t get a certain letter. You can change amount of misses so you can change it up to 6. If you spelled the word, you will gain some bonus and the trophy will be unlocked. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/0af.jpg Clean Sweep Shoot at least 15 objects in a row in Astroblast without any score penalties This trophy can be misleading because you must shoot at least 15 or more consecutive objects without any of them touching the ground. If any of them touch the ground, you will lose some points. You must be very precise! When you do manage to shoot enough object without any of them to touch the ground, the trophy is yours. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/6cc.jpg Undefeated Finish Adventure II without dying once In Adventure II, the game is slightly more difficult than the first one because some places might be confusing but aren't so bad if you know what you're doing. Thankfully you can kill the dragons to make this game easier but beware, because the bat will show up to steal some items sometimes. You must avoid the dragons because they eat you like in the original. If you die, you will not get this trophy and you have to start from scratch. Best of luck, adventurer! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/043.jpg Shark Attack Clear an entire Rack in Pool Shark This trophy isn't that bad as long if you know how to play billiards. In this game, you can control the cue ball to hit the balls to the sinkhole but don't let your ball fall into one and you will have some chances depending how many racks you set form the settings. You must hit all of the balls to the sinkholes before the timer runs out. If you did that, you got this trophy! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/425.jpg Triple Ace Score at least 65 before refueling and at least 90 overall in Air Raiders This trophy is very painful and annoying because you must shoot down at least 65 planes during your first run before refueling, then you must shoot down 90 planes overall. When you start the game, you must take off your plane on the right time but if you do it too soon or late, you will crash! When you successfully take off your plane, you will start flying. You must pay attention to the altitude, amount of bullets, and your fuel but don't forget the bottom bar with the red in the middle because the red zone could be very dangerous even you're at the low altitude. The planes will shoot you often to make you go down to crash, depending on your altitude. You must shoot down enough planes without wasting too much ammo and your fuel! After you score 65 points, you must safely fly down to 0 altitude without crashing. If you do that in a few seconds, the take off road will show up and your plane will automatically land. Keep in mind, you ammo will be at 65 because you shot down 65 planes before your second take off. You must do the same strategy but the game will get a little bit harder so be careful! If you scored 90 points during your second run, the trophy is all yours! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/e4b.jpg Imp-ressive Do 99 points of damage to the Imp This gold trophy is a walk in a park, you must kill the Imp in the game, "Wizard". If you do kill him, the trophy is yours. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/1b0.jpg Commander Achieve a rating in Star Raiders This trophy is not hard as the infamous Stellar Track trophy from Volume 2, or not easy either. In Star Raiders, you must get a "Commander" rating. To get this rating, you must score enough points depending on what difficulty you play. Here's the formula according to the manual: M + 6 (No. of enemies destroyed) - energy uses/100 - Length of time taken/100 - 18 (No. of Starbases Zylon destroyed) - 3 (No. of star bases your destroyed) During the game, you must activate your shields, tracking and attack crosshair. You can use the galactic chart to see how much target you must destroy at a sector. You can use hyperspace to travel faster but that wastes some of your energy depending how far any of the sectors. Keep in mind, some sectors had staircases to refuel your energy and repairing your ship if damaged. To do that you must aim at the star base close enough while the ship stops using the speed mode to control your ship's speed. If you done that correctly, the screen will say, "ORBIT ESTABLISHED". Also it will say, "STANDBY" while the Transfer Vessel leaves the staircase to service your ship. If you move during that, you won’t be getting any of the refuel or you ship to be repaired. You must shoot down the enemy ships but don't shoot too much because you will lose some energy as well. If the ship shoots you, some of the components of the ship will be damaged such as engines, computer, photons etc. If you do destroy all of the enemy ships, the game will be complete. After the competition, the game will tell your rating. If you get a "Commander" rating, the trophy is yours. If not, try again and do better. If you die, you will end up in a lower rank like Galactic Cook or Garbage Scow Captain while you score very low. Good luck getting this trophy! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/a02.jpg 8-Bit Slugger Beat the computer in Atari Baseball This trophy can be doable because beating the computer player may not be easy or hard either (depending what difficulty you play). This can be done on the easy setting but you must beat the computer player. The game is just like the real baseball game. You must hit the ball when the CPU pitcher throws the ball to the catcher. If you didn't hit the ball on time, you will get a strike. Get a strike three times, you will be out! If you hit the ball but the ball flies to the foul ball lane, you will also get a strike. If the CPU catches the ball after you hit it, you will also be out. You must run to the base after you hit the ball but make sure no one catches the ball, throws it to the base where you go or the CPU touches you with a ball. Try to score more runs than your opponent. When the game ends depending how many innings lasted, the game will be over. If you win the trophy is yours but if not, you must do it all over again. Good luck, slugger. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6814/6c8.jpg Yars Strike Back Achieve a score of 300,000 or higher in Yars' Return This trophy is similar to the Yars' Revenge trophy from Volume 1 but is harder in Yars' Return because there were two destroyer missiles instead of one killing you. Also, the neutral zone is around the Qotile's shield. Like in the original, the game will be harder because the Swirl will use its homing attack but watch out! This trophy can be done on Game 0 (Children's Version) because it was an easier mode of this game. When you reach 300,000 points, the trophy will pop. Tiberius
This version is the hardest one yet by far, I was the only one who'd gotten the Yars Return trophy for over a month until someone else did according to PSNProfiles.
Atarster
Yeah, those trophies are hard as f**k. At least I found the save trick on this game, and it worked for me.
Tiberius
If it wasn't for the save trick, a lot of these trophies would be impossible.

SlimSanta94
Nice guide, I actually got the platinum without using the save exploit. I was aware of it for the first two volumes but I didn't think to use it for this one xD
