Additional peripherals required?: No Introduction: Welcome to Game Tengoku CruisinMix. Created by Jaleco, this shmup was originally released to arcades in 1995 and got a release on the Sega Saturn in 1997. Now it has a release on PS4 with upgrades and additions like new characters and upgraded music quality so you can enjoy all of the Japanese craziness. This game doesn't take very long to Platinum, assuming that you’re decent at shmups. It can be Platinumed in under 5 hours. You will have to play through at least 14 times though and 12 of the playthroughs are really two loops with all 6 non-DLC characters. A playthrough of this game doesn't take very long though. There is only one mildly challenging trophy in this game, and it's for beating all 8 stages without continuing but it's not much of a challenge with the lives set to five and the difficulty set to "Very Easy". Walktrough: Step 1: Complete two loops with every non-DLC character in Arcade Mode + You will have to complete a playthrough with two loops for each of the six non-DLC characters. In order to do a second loop, when you complete the first loop and the credits roll, you have to shoot the "END" word to start a second loop. Complete the second loop and don’t shoot the "END" this time to end your playthrough. You have unlimited continues but you can set the lives to five and the difficulty to "Very Easy" to make this easier. You will definitely want to play a stage without using a bomb in one of these playthroughs, preferably the first stage, for a trophy. After this step, you will unlock the following trophies: OK, let's go! Yahoo! Yes sir! Oink! Here I go! Come on, Misato! Operation Logic Bomb Avenging Spirit Bases Loaded It's the END Step 2: Complete a one loop game in Arcade Mode + and don't shoot anything in the credits You will have to complete a game with just one loop and when the credits roll, don't shoot anything. This will unlock a trophy. After this step, you will unlock the following trophy: The Peace Keeper Step 3: Complete Arrange Mode in Story Mode without continues This is the hardest trophy in the game but because you've played through the game various times, you will have a better feel for the game. I recommend using Z-DYNE MkII for this trophy. Also, when you get to stage 4 in this mode, don't shoot Misato, the idol singer, for another trophy. After this step, you will unlock the following trophies: Whomp 'Em! Lovely Star Step 4: Clean-up If you have been following this Roadmap, you only need one trophy left, which is easily achieved through a cheat code. Head to Classic Mode, Options and Story Replay and hold , , and to unlock all cutscenes. I recommend using the cheat code, otherwise you would be going through Arrange Mode with all 6 non-DLC characters to unlock all scenes and watching all of them in order to unlock the Bonus scene. You only have to watch the Bonus scene in the Heroes story and you will unlock your final trophy. After this step, you will unlock the following trophies: Are You Tuff E Nuff? The Game Paradise! stgermain
Trophy Guide: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/4d2.jpg The Game Paradise! Acquired all trophies. Congrats! http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/12f.jpg Are You Tuff E Nuff? Watched all chapters of STORY REPLAY In Classic Mode, head to Options and Story Replay. Here, you can watch cutscenes that you've previously viewed in Story Mode. To unlock this very quickly, hold , , and to unlock all cutscenes, instead of the normal way of unlocking by going through Arrange Mode with all 6 non-DLC characters, watching all Genius Yamada scenes in order, then in the Heroes scenes in order to unlock the Bonus scene. You only have to watch the Bonus scene in the Heroes story for this trophy and you can skip the cutscene by using after it starts. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/fbf.jpg Whomp 'Em! Defeat the Yamada Virus without continuing MISSABLE I recommend leaving this trophy for the end, as you've played the game various times and are familiar with it. I highly recommend using Z-DYNE MkII for this trophy, setting the game to Very Easy, lives to 5 and Auto-Bomb to "On" in Options. The Auto-Bomb will automatically drop a bomb if you were about to get hit, assuming that you had at least one bomb left. You have to complete all eight stages in Arrange Mode in Classic Mode, as this is where the Yamada Virus boss appears, without using a continue. You will want to gain Power-Ups as much as possible, to make your weapon stronger and use bombs when you're in trouble. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/1d0.jpg The Peace Keeper Watch the Arcade Mode's staff credits without destroying any of them MISSABLE You will have to complete Arcade More or Arcade Mode + and not destroy anything, which includes the "END" words at the very end. Basically, don't shoot anything. You won't earn this trophy in a second loop since you will have to destroy "END" in order to unlock the second loop and this won't unlock even if you don’t shoot anything in the credits while in the second loop. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/0b7.jpg OK, let's go! Finish the second loop of Arcade Mode + (Fighter EX) MISSABLE In Arcade Mode +, choose Jeynus with Fighter EX and complete the game. In the staff credits, make sure to shoot the word "END" so that you can start a second loop. Complete the second loop and don't shoot the "END" this time to end the game and unlock this. The second loop is more difficult than the first loop. You can set the game to "Very Easy" and lives to 5 in Options, then you can continue as many times as you like. Jeynus shoots a rapid fire beam in front of him. He can get more beams as he powers up. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/48b.jpg Yahoo! Finish the second loop of Arcade Mode + (Poopera) MISSABLE In Arcade Mode +, choose Selia with Poopera and complete the game. In the staff credits, make sure to shoot the word "END" so that you can start a second loop. Complete the second loop and don’t shoot the “END” this time to end the game and unlock this. The second loop is more difficult than the first loop. You can set the game to "Very Easy" and lives to 5 in Options, then you can continue as many times as you like. Selia shoots in a spreadfire formation and she can spread even further with upgrades. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/c10.jpg Yes sir! Finish the second loop of Arcade Mode + (Z-DYNE MkII) MISSABLE In Arcade Mode +, choose Z-DYNE MkII and complete the game. Z-DYNE MkII shoots a large beam in front of him and a smaller beam that homes in on enemies. When powered up, he is by far the strongest character in the game. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/51a.jpg Oink! Finish the second loop of Arcade Mode + (Pig) MISSABLE In Arcade Mode +, choose Pig and complete the game. Pig shoots out bomb-like projectiles (not to be confused with the bomb you use when you press ) and when powered up, the explosive area becomes larger. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/5f1.jpg Here I go! Finish the second loop of Arcade Mode + (Momoko) MISSABLE In Arcade Mode +, choose Momoko and complete the game. Momoko shoots a beam straight, and she also occasionally shoots a star that homes in on enemies. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/f91.jpg Come on, Misato! Finish the second loop of Arcade Mode + (Genesis-3) MISSABLE In Arcade Mode +, choose Miki & Misato with Genesis-3 and complete the game. In the staff credits, make sure to shoot the word "END" so that you can start a second loop. Complete the second loop and don't shoot the "END" this time to end the game and unlock this. The second loop is more difficult than the first loop. You can set the game to "Very Easy" and lives to 5 in Options and you can continue as many times as you like. With Miki and Misato, you have one ship that shoots a beam that only reaches about halfway through the screen, however, you have two companion ships that home in on enemies and shoot them. The two companion ships are likely doing most of the work here. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/507.jpg Operation Logic Bomb Use a bomb with any character Press the button to use a bomb. Bombs will clear the screen of projectiles and will do a lot of damage to enemies on screen. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/55c.jpg Avenging Spirit Use a continue on any mode Run out of lives and use a continue to unlock this. This will likely unlock while going for each characters’ trophies. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/0bc.jpg Bases Loaded Finish any stage without using a bomb As the trophy says, complete a stage without using a bomb. The first stage on Very Easy is the best place to do this. Just don't press at all and do not have Auto-Bomb on "On" in Options. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/51c.jpg It's the END Destroy the END in Arcade Mode MISSABLE When you complete Arcade Mode, you will have the staff credits, and at very end, the word "END" appears on screen. Destroy the word to unlock this trophy and start a new loop. This is required for the second loop trophies for each character. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6675/d38.jpg Lovely Star Listen to Misato sing her entire song in any mode MISSABLE Misato will sing in Stage 4 of Arrange Mode in Classic Mode. When this stage starts, don't shoot anything but move to the very center of the screen so hiragana and kanji won't hit you. Stay there and wait for the song to end, which will end the stage and unlock this trophy. Edited January 12, 2019 by Terminator Editorial Sweep. Dav1d 123
Fun game if you like shmups. Very easy if you don't too. You can literally just turbo circle (on JP stack) and let the game play on it's own for almost every trophies. That cheat code saved me a lot of hassle too ! Reggiez
Thanks for a great guide stgermain. Just completed the 100% for this game and a few trophies this guide helped out explaining. Liked the game! Very Japanese. The only thing I would have liked was if they had brushed up the graphics just a bit.
