Hi there,

 

I have made a gold medal guide for each mission. You can find them all below along with their difficulty ratings.

 

If you're still struggling with a mission, leave me a comment on here or on the video and I'll help you out the best I can.

I used a couple of these but its I think its worth pointing out that your not using replay in them. I know in some of the later videos you mention it but it would be nice to know from the get go to avoid confusion. Unless you've redone them on replay? Either way, using your videos I was able to do them all on replays

Missions are a lot harder on replay thanks to being given a horse made from sticks, and not having access to weapons/stats/tonics that you actually had when you first attempted the mission.

 

They're generally a lot harder in replays due to this, so these guides (while still great) occasionally will be misleading or you'll find it impossible to replicate within a time limit, for example.

In that case, I sincerely apologise. I was just trying to explain the difference to the guy above between first plays and replays. I didn't mean to do it at the expsense of discrediting your guide!

I started playing day one and got too far in (for me to happily start over) and went passed the Friends with Benefits trophy. I will have to play the story again through chapter 4 to get that one trophy.

 

I only have a hand full of golds that came naturally and planned on going back on replay. I just wanted to story the game before checking out help vids.

 

Now, because of the discussion here lol, I see they gimped replays. I never did one yet and this is the first I've heard. So thanks for the discussion of that.

 

 

I checked out one of your vids to see your style and it was very good. I will for sure be using them when I figure out which route for golds I want to take. Kind of leaning on making the Friends with Benefits playthrough a golds run as well, instead of replays.

Great guides, Ben. As someone who is not good at timed missions or accuracy based objectives.....I'm just going to shoot for the easy and medium rated missions for my 71 gold medals because when I even try the hard rated ones I get super frustrated and want to quit playing the game.

 

As far as the replay side of things, I totally get what that one guy was saying but when I fail I just automatically know to reload my last save to try again. I'm not even going to go back and attempt replays in chapter 1 or chapter 2. Just moving forward from here on out for the gold medals from mid chapter 2 on to the end of game. I have about 20 gold medals so far using the videos from Ben. I am in the last mission for chapter 3 so about to enter chapter 4 soon... thanks again for all the tips and commentary.

The margin for completing An American Pastoral Scene is unbelievably thin, even when you're not playing that mission on replay. When I timed it, it said about 4:50-55 on my phone by the time I hit the cutscene just before the final gun fight. That gives you maybe 1 minute to clear all of the enemies, *and* have to wait for Micah to casually stroll back to the coach to open the cargo.

 

Insane.

 

I somehow managed to get it done last night despite the time on my phone saying somewhere in the 6:50-58 range of time (though I am not sure how much of that time was waiting on the black screen after skipping the cutscenes).

Big thanks to the OP for composing the video guide. I was referring to them from the middle of chapter 6 and it is much better than the others I was using with the comments.

I got what you are saying but I would still suggest picking a few earlier mission as they are the easiest gold medals to achieve, Eastbound, a quiet time, for example. I had a hard time to get gold medals on even some of the easy missions in the list (country pursuit, for example).

 

 

In the end I got 71 gold medal with only a few to spare. And I DID got gold medals for a few hard ones, including American Pastoral scene.

The New South might need to get bumped up to medium or easy - knowing you can restart the checkpoint involved with the first task until you get it, and it does nothing to the time limit involved with task number 2 makes the mission way easier, even on replay (which I had to do because the mission auto-started when I got too close to Dutch, and I hadn't saved from the previous mission - I have auto-save off).
