PS4 Format and Extended Storage

I'm really debating about formatting my system back to square one as I've had a few issues with games installing and other quirky things. My question is that I have all of my games installed in extended storage... if I dont plug this in during the format will the games get recognized when I plug the drive back in after system format? I have close to 200 games on it.

Save files on external USB storage are tied to the user. You can format the console and still use those saves.

I know that. I'm talking about the downloaded games on my external hard drive... are those tide the same way. Is there anything that is saved on the local hardrive that if I restore the system that will cause those games not to work and make me re-download 200 plus games?

I don't see why they wouldn't be recognised.

Shouldn't be an issue! It's going back on the same system and same user.
