Ashbo
Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 (Personal opinion) Offline trophies: 2 (2 ) Online trophies: 0 Approximate amount of time to 100%: 1-2hrs when using the guide (Personal opinion) Minimum number of playthroughs: Free roam is available Number of missable trophies: 0 Glitched trophies: 0 Does difficulty affect trophies?: No Do trophies stack?: No, this DLC isn't available for the PS3 so doesn't stack. Do cheat codes disable trophies?: None In the new collections add-on in L.A Noire remastered there are two new Bronze trophies that have been added to the overall trophy list. Novels and Golden Records. There are a total of 8 Novels and 20 Golden Records. This guide will help you locate and find both sets of collectibles across the 3 districts of the map, Hollywood, Wilshere and Central. Once you collect a Novel or Golden Record and inspect it, a message will appear on screen stating you have found it along with a counter for how many (X/8 or X/20) you have discovered. On top of finding the collectible, you will also be awarded 5 XP towards your rank. Also note that these collectibles are needed for The City Of The Angels trophy and subsequently, the as well. Step 1: Get both trophies As these trophies can be collected at any time during the game, feel free to play the game and enjoy the story rather than having to worry about gaining the collectibles as you go. With this in mind, these two new trophies can be collected during the story in between cases or if you choose to collect them via free roam which becomes available at the end of each desk case, you are free to do so. The order as mentioned in which I have listed them is by no means a set way, it's just a more methodical way to get them as they are collected in each district, rather than travelling from one side of the map to the other, thus making the task of collecting them longer. Ashbo
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6358/e29.jpg Well Read Individual Find and collect all hidden novels. NOTE: For finding all 8 novels, you will also earn an outfit called 'Hard Boiled Detective'. To help navigate to the various locations, you can set or place a way marker on the map to help you get to it easier, use the map locations listed below. To get to the areas quicker if you hold next to a vehicle, your partner Bekowski will drive instead, which basically skips the need for you to drive, thus getting you there quicker. I have included all 8 locations/where they are placed in situ and what the novel looks like. If you have played the PS3 version of L.A. Noire, then you will be familiar with how the collectibles work and function in game. Similarly, the novels appear like the magazines do in the Fallout series. What's In A Name? District - Hollywood Enter the Police station, follow the corridor round and go upstairs. Once upstairs the corridor will lead to some double doors that take you outside and as shown below on the table you will find your first novel: Post-War Boom District - Hollywood This novel is on a picnic table in a small park next to some swings and a slide. Black Dahlia & White Rose District - Hollywood Like the previous novel this too is located on a picnic table. You will find it after entering from the road through an open gated entrance, the other end is closed. Hell of an Affair District - Wilshere Enter the Police station, head upstairs and its on the desk in the first office on your left hand side. See The Woman District - Wilshere Head into the small side door on the right, the shop is called BUS and its on the last table on the right before the open doors. School For Murder District - Wilshere Head onto the sports field and its on top of the wooden seating stand in the corner section of the field. Naked Angel District - Wilshere This is in a small cafe called Reggie's on a small table at the back. The Girl District - Central Enter Eagles Gun Store and head down stairs to the shooting range. The novel is in the last stall on the bench. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/6358/749.jpg You Found My Tune! Find and collect all hidden records. As with the Novels, I have provided the map location and where the record lies in the game. There are 20 of these to collect and the following sequence is the order in which I collected them in: Record No.1 From the main road, head into the white fronted diner and at the back is the first record on the floor next to the jukebox. Record No.2 Head into the Blur Room Jazz Bar and to the right after entering through the second set of double doors at the back right corner is the second record. Record No.3 Run up the steps to at the front of the beige coloured building that has an art deco style print running its length on the front. The record is in the entrance of the porch on the steps. Record No.4 Run into the construction site and to the right of the yellow digger, the record is on the flat concrete. Record No.5 Inside Joe's Diner, follow the bar around to the right and its on the floor in front of the jukebox. Record No.6 Inside Just Picked Market, the record is on a crate to the right, next to some sunflowers. Record No.7 This record is situated behind the blue house on the outside rear porch on the floor. The house is unmistakable and easily visible from the road. Record No.8 In between two properties (one has blue pillars across the front), run in between them an there is a shed in the back garden. The record is inside the shed. Record No.9 Inside the large Drive-In Diner, follow the bar around to the right and the record is on the floor in front of the jukebox. Record No.10 The record is on a small stage in the middle of a Chinese themed area. NOTE: This is also a landmark in the game. Record No.11 This record can be located (from the roadside) behind the patisserie inside a small alcove loading bay. Record No.12 Located inside a shack on the floor in the small hobo type village. Record No.13 Opposite a red building there is an alley (to the right is a shop called Barter & Sons). Follow the path down the alley and turn left. Head diagonally to the end to a flight of stairs. At the top of these stairs is a large bin and the record is on the floor. Record No.14 Enter the Police Station, head downstairs and follow the signs for Technical Services. Enter the Technical Services office, to the left and the record is on top of a small stack of boxes. Record No.15 Inside Mirror Press Diner, the record is on the far left table. There may be a guy sat at the table in front of it. Record No.16 Head inside Cavanagh's bar and the record is next to a cigarette machine, which is on the right hand side. Record No.17 Go inside the Southern Fried Chicken restaurant and the record is on the floor to the left of the jukebox. Record No.18 From the roadside, head into Uncle Sam's Army Surplus shop and the record should be on the counter to the left. Record No.19 This record is inside the Hotel Bristol. Once inside follow the corridor around to the right, then left. At the end the record is on the floor next to some boxes. Record No.20 The final record can be found on top of a small flight of external steps. To access these, from the roadside, head through the large wire gates (There is a large billboard that says 'Rat-B-Gone' on top of the right side building). Run straight down to the end building and follow the steps around to get your final record and the You Found My Tune! trophy. Edited November 29, 2017 by Terminator Editorial Sweep. Blaze Naruto Shippuden
Great guide. My only suggestion is to put them in spoiler tags separately. They make the page long to load.
Darth_Krid
Great guide. My only suggestion is to put them in spoiler tags separately. They make the page long to load. Please don't do this. The page will still take ages to load because the images are still there, but the whole thing will look a mess and be annoying to navigate. Particularly on mobile, trying to open and close spoiler tags.

megabug7
They should have given the records a song title based on the songs you hear in the car like Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, The Ink Spots etc., and left them in believable places like in more houses/businesses you visit in the cases, rather them randomly placed outside, on patios etc. :S Edited December 31, 2017 by megabug7
aDg2k15
I didn't notice it the first time I read through, but the last location for the novels, the gun shop, is called Eaglesons, and the guide lists it as Eagles. Just an observation.

aDg2k15
Note that if you haven't found it yet, there's also a Gold Film Reel inside the Joe's Diner in Hollywood, on a counter near the jukebox and Gold Record.
