Overview: Estimated trophy difficulty: 8/10 Offline trophies: 32 of 47 (23(B), 5(S), 3(G), 1(P)) Online trophies: 15 of 47 (4(S), 11(B)) Approximate amount of time to platinum: Minimum number of playthroughs: 15 Arcade Mode, 1 Story Mode, plus Online Number of missable trophies: 0 Glitched trophies: 0 Does difficulty affect trophies?: No Do trophies stack?: Yes Do cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A Additional peripherals required?: No, Arcade Stick is optional About Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is the latest in the Vs. series, specifically the Marvel and Capcom partnership that began with Marvel Super Heroes and extended to the first Vs. game, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter. This game returns to 2v2 gameplay, as opposed to the 3v3 gameplay in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. There are also no assist types or an X Factor gauge. Everything has been replaced by a more refined control scheme and the use of the Infinity Stones to grant temporary bonuses in battle. Controls The default controls are as follows: - Light Punch - Heavy Punch - Light Kick - Heavy Kick - Infinity Surge - Active Switch (fighter swap) + Infinity Storm + while blocking – Advancing Guard For more info, see this control diagram from the game. Note: These are the default controls. Walkthrough Note that each of these steps can be completed in any order, as preferred. Many trophies can be earned in either Arcade OR Online mode. Step 1: Tutorial Go to the Mission mode and complete the Tutorial section. This will get you up to speed on the controls and gameplay, and count as 30 missions towards your 100 mission requirement. Step 2: Story Mode Play completely through the Story mode. - Worlds Collide - The Hunt for Infinity - Fate of Two Worlds - Hobbyist Step 3: Arcade Mode Complete Arcade Mode with each of the 30 default fighters. Along the way try to grind out some of the combo related trophies. - Full Roster - Earth's Mightiest Hero - Wonderful! - Amazing! - Hyped Up - Good Blocks - When Push Comes to Shove - Tag Team Special - First Attack! - Haggar Would Be Proud - Infinity Fighter - Infinity Warrior - Combo Machine - PERFECT! - Winning with Style - That'll Leave a Mark - Local Fighter - Local Champion - Hero in Training - Collector - Fanatic Step 4: Mission Mode Complete the tutorial missions, 70 of the character missions and fully complete 5 of the characters to fulfill all your mission requirements. - Sidekick - Super Hero - Living Legend - Master Class Step 5: Online Mode Fight a series of Ranked, Casual or Lobby matches to hammer through the online requirements. You can use a boosting partner to expedite some of this. - Here Comes a New Challenger! - Battle Recruit - Battle Junkie - Battle Veteran - Equal Opportunities Puncher - Solo Round - Fearless - Master of the Fist - Ascending the Ladder - Eye on the Throne - King of the Hill - Incredible - Indestructible - Invincible Step 6: Cleanup Finish any lingering trophies on the way to your Platinum. - Tivan Sends His Regards - Passport to Beatdown Country - Master of Infinity Tips and Tricks: It’s a good idea to complete the Tutorial in Mission mode before doing anything. You can review your move set for each character by pausing in Training or Arcade mode. For Arcade mode, set the difficulty to Very Easy and damage to Highest to complete Arcade with all characters quickly. You only need an Infinity Gauge at 50% to use an Infinity Storm. You can spam the Infinity Surge to build your Infinity Gauge so you can execute an Infinity Storm. It’s recommended to use either Time, Soul or Space zone as these are relatively fast and beneficial. Begin Online mode in the Beginners League. It will be easier to get opponents that are more likely to allow you to get a 5 game win streak, though this is entirely skill dependent. You can review your earned titles, fight totals which characters have cleared Arcade mode in your Fight Card, by pressing on the main menu. Use the Auto Combos and Easy Hyper Combos if you need to. There is no reason not to. Edited September 26, 2017 by shrapx
shrapx
Trophy Guide: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/3b0.jpg Master of Infinity Earn all trophies. This is the platinum. It is very shiny. You got all the trophies! Congratulations. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/625.jpg Full Roster Complete Arcade Mode with all characters. (Offline) This trophy is slightly misleading. If you beat the final boss, both characters in your team have cleared Arcade Mode, not just the one who dealt the killing blow. Therefore, you must complete Arcade mode a minimum of 15 times using the default roster. The roster checklist for the trophy is: Capcom (Blue) Side Strider Arthur Frank West Chris Redfield X Zero Nemesis Dante Ryu Spencer Chun-Li Morigan Jedah Firebrand Haggar Marvel (Red) Side Rocket Dr. Strange Hawkeye Ultron Gamora Ghost Rider Iron Man Thanos Nova Hulk Captain Marvel Thor Captain America Spider-Man Dormamu It’s recommended to set your battle settings to a difficulty of Very Easy, with the damage set to Highest. This is the most efficient use of Arcade Mode, if you want to get it over with quickly. You can keep track of which characters have cleared Arcade mode by reviewing which Titles you have unlocked thus far. Refer to Tivan Sends His Regards for more information about the Titles. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/0a3.jpg Earth's Mightiest Hero Complete Arcade Mode. (Offline) Complete the arcade mode. It’s simple as that. It need only be done once, and with any pair of characters of your choice. There are a total of 5 normal 2v2 battles, 1 sub boss battle of 2v1 and then a final 2v1 boss battle to complete in order to beat Arcade mode on Normal difficulty. If you’re having trouble, change the difficulty to Very Easy and the damage to Highest from the character select screen by pressing R1 before selecting your fighters. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/da4.jpg Worlds Collide Complete Story Mode chapter "Rescue Mission." Story Related, can't be missed You must complete the first part of story mode. Refer to Fate of Two Worlds . http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/6e6.jpg The Hunt for Infinity Complete Story Mode chapter "Symbiote Attack." Story Related, can't be missed You must complete the second part of story mode. Refer to Fate of Two Worlds . http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/6c0.jpg Fate of Two Worlds Complete Story Mode chapter "Battling Ultron Omega." Story Related, can't be missed You will earn this trophy by completely clearing the games Story mode. There is no special trick to it, you just play through the story and complete each fight until the Arcade mode final boss is defeated. You do not have to complete Story Mode in one sitting. The game auto saves as you progress and you can continue where you left off. The entire story is only a few hours long. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/780.jpg Sidekick Complete 20 missions in Mission Mode. You must complete 20 missions in Mission Mode, in total. Refer to Living Legend . http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/654.jpg Super Hero Complete 40 missions in Mission Mode. You must complete 40 missions in Mission Mode, in total. Refer to Living Legend . http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/99e.jpg Living Legend Complete 100 missions in Mission Mode. You must complete a total of 100 missions in Mission Mode. This is rather forgiving, compared to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, where you had to clear many more missions. In Mission mode, there is a tutorial section of missions that apply to the 100 missions, so it’s best to complete these first. There are at total of 30 tutorial missions. They are pretty easy, for the most part. Only the Infinity set might be a little difficult but can be learned quickly. Once tutorial is out of the way, there are 70 missions left to complete. The default roster of MvC:I is 30 characters, each with 10 missions for a total of 300 missions. With tutorial there is 330 default missions one can use towards the goal. If you complete 2 or 3 of the missions for each character, you can reach 100 missions easily. Note: This tip does not take into account any missions related to future updates or DLC, only the default roster. shrapx
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/244.jpg Wonderful! Perform a 30-hit combo. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must perform a 30-hit combo in either Arcade or Online mode. Many characters have Hyper Combos capable of exceeding the 30-hit limit, assuming the opponent isn’t blocking of course. If you have a Hyper Combo gauge of 1 or higher, you can use Iron Man or Ryu’s easy automatic Level 1 Hyper Combo’s by press and together to easily get this trophy. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. Refer to Amazing! . http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/e46.jpg Amazing! Perform a 60-hit combo. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must perform a 60-hit combo in either Arcade or Online mode. This is easier than it sounds Many characters have Hyper Combos capable of exceeding the 30-hit limit, assuming the opponent isn’t blocking of course. You want to have two of these characters in your team at once. I recommend Iron Man and Ryu or Thanos. Build your Hyper Combo gauge to 2 or higher. Then, get the opponent to a point where you can use your first automatic level 1 combo by pressing and together with Iron Man. If the opponent is hit, he will get approximately 48 hits. Quickly switch in your reserve party member and use the auto combo AGAIN to double up on the hits. Another method is to use a single fighter like Iron Man and time your combo just right for when two of your opponents are on the screen, such as during a switch or in the Arcade mode final boss, when 2 drones are on the screen at once. There are undoubtedly more ways to do this, but these methods will work. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/f5a.jpg Hyped Up Use 50 hyper combo gauge bars. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must perform at least 50 Hyper Combos, signified by the Hyper Combo guage. Each character can perform Hyper Combos. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. The easiest way to do this is to make use of the Auto Combo and easy Hyper Combo feature of the game. Use the Auto Combo to build your gauges, and once you have a level one gauge press and together to perform an automatic Level 1 Hyper Combo. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/763.jpg Good Blocks Block 100 times. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must block an opponents attack 100 times, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. This will come naturally during play online and Arcade. Simple press away from any opponents attacks to block. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/b9c.jpg When Push Comes to Shove Perform 50 advancing guards. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must perform an advancing guard 50 times, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. To perform an advancing guard, first you must be actively blocking an incoming attack. When the attack is blocked, press any two of either , , or to perform an advancing guard. If your fast, you can get multiple advancing guards in one block for a lot of moves, especially long opponent hyper combos. Make sure to block BEFORE hitting two buttons for an advancing guard, or your button mashing will cancel the block and you will punch or kick. It's recommended to use + since + is the easy Hyper Combo. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/e7a.jpg Tag Team Special Perform 20 combos that include an Active Switch. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must perform 20 combos that include an Active Switch, or a character swap in other words, in either Arcade or Online modes. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. Probably the best way to do this is in Arcade Mode. Use the auto combo to get your combo started. Once you see your hit count get up to 2 or 3, press to swap characters and continue your combo. It’s easiest to swap characters BEFORE the auto combo launches your opponent in the air around the 4th or 5th hit. After the character swap occurs, keep attacking and make sure your hit counter does not reset. If both fighters participate in a single hit counter combo, that will count towards the trophy. If you kick the opponent in the air and then swap, you might find your swapped character cannot land a hit and your combo will break, and not count towards the requirement. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/77a.jpg First Attack! Perform 50 first attacks. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must land the first attack 50 times, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. This can easily be done in Arcade mode, on very easy. Just keep playing until you get 50 first hits. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/5fe.jpg Haggar Would Be Proud Perform 50 throws. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must throw an opponent 50 times, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. This can be done easily in Arcade mode, on Very Easy. Just move close to an opponent, press either toward or away, then to grab and throw your opponent. Keep repeating this as much as possible and work away at the total. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/db0.jpg Infinity Fighter Use Infinity Surge 50 times. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must use your Infinity Surge ability 50 times, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. This is pretty easy to do. All you have to do is use your Infinity Stone 50 times. Press in battle to use your stone. I found the Reality stone easy to use, since it fires a seeking projectile, but whichever stone you wish to use is fine. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/60d.jpg Infinity Warrior Use Infinity Storm 50 times. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must use your Infinity Storm ability 50 times, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. This is more difficult than doing Infinity Surge. You need to build an Infinity gauge to at least 50% in order to be able to do an Infinity Storm. Once your gauge is full, press + simultaneously to activate a storm. Repeat this process 50 times to unlock the trophy. To build your Infinity Gauge, spam an Infinity Surge using or you can take damage if you want to. You can easily Spam the Soul, Time or Space stones. The Reality Stone does not allow for easy spamming. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/470.jpg Combo Machine Perform 20 auto combos. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must perform a total of 20 auto combos, either in Arcade or Online mode. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. This can easily be done in Arcade, by just pressing the button repeatedly. Set your difficulty to Very Easy if you’re having trouble, and just hit repeatedly to perform auto combos. Odds are you will get the trophy before beating Arcade mode for the first time. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/145.jpg PERFECT! Achieve a perfect victory. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must win a match without being hit at all. There are a few ways to do this. One is to boost online against another player who will sit idle for you to win. Another way is to start Arcade mode and set the difficulty to Very Easy, with damage set to High. Then, select a good first fighter with fast attack strength, such as Zero, and just deal damage as fast as you can. After a little practice on Very Easy, it won’t take long to get this trophy. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. Edited September 26, 2017 by shrapx
shrapx
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/ec0.jpg Winning with Style Perform 10 Lv1 hyper combo finishes. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must finish 10 matches with a Level 1 Hyper Combos. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. The easiest way to do this is to make use of the auto combo and easy hyper combo feature of the game. Use the auto combo to build your gauges, and once you have a level one gauge press and together to perform an automatic Level 1 Hyper Combo. Use your auto combo to defeat the first opponent's fighter and then weaken the second. Then, use the automatic Level 1 Hyper Combo to defeat the second opponent and win the match. The Hyper Combo MUST defeat the opponent. If it does not, then do another Hyper Combo if you can, or end the match and try again in your next match. You will know that you ended the match with a Hyper Combo when you see the flashy orange effects, as shown. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/3b3.jpg That'll Leave a Mark Perform 5 Lv3 hyper combo finishes. (Arcade/online only) (Online or Offline) You must finish 5 matches with a Level 3 Hyper Combos. This is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match. The key here is to build at least a Level 3 Hyper Gauge. Use your auto combo to defeat the first opponent fighter and then weaken the second. Then, you must perform a Level 3 Hyper Combo to defeat the second opponent and win the match. The Hyper Combo MUST defeat the opponent. If it does not, then do another Hyper Combo if you can, or end the match and try again in your next match. Focus on using a fighter with an easy to use Level 3 move that you’re comfortable with. Ryu can perform a good, close range Level 3. Spider-Man is another good choice. But any character would work towards the trophy. It’s recommended to do this in Arcade, where you have better control over the outcome of the match. Review each characters Level 3 command from the command list in the pause menu, either in Training or Arcade. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/355.jpg Local Fighter Play 5 matches in any offline mode. (Offline) As the name implies, play 5 matches offline. This is easily done in Arcade mode, on your first attempt to beat the game. You can review how many matches you have played in your Fighter Card, by pressing on the main menu. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/f13.jpg Local Champion Play 50 matches in any offline mode. You will need to complete 10 missions for 5 different characters in mission mode. It is recommended to use the heavy characters, as they have limited move sets. But ultimately, select whichever 5 characters you are most comfortable with. This is the most difficult trophy in the game, and can be highly skill dependent. If each player does this correctly, both players will get the trophy after 15 matches. You can then press to get a description of what you have to do for the highlighted title to unlock it. 30 titles can be unlocked by completing Arcade mode with each default character. 17 titles can be unlocked by completing the Story mode. The remaining 3 can be any of the multiple online titles you wish to unlock. Most of which are just complete X number of matches. However, it's easy to get a few titles right away by getting the online titles for performing Infinity Surges, Infinity Storms and combos. Each character can earn 4 titles, for a total of 120 character specific titles. Each character gets 1 title for completing Arcade mode, 1 for clearing all 10 missions, 1 for fighting 10 ranked matches and 1 for fighting 20 ranked matches. The most efficient method for earning this trophy is to complete Arcade and Story modes, then focus on either Online or Missions to round out your final titles. The trophy will pop when exiting the current mode to the main menu, when the Unlock box pops, if the conditions are met. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5323/b36.jpg Passport to Beatdown Country Fight in all of the stages. (Online or Offline) To get this trophy, you must do combat in all of the games default 16 stages. At first, only 8 of these stages are unlocked. You must complete Story Mode to unlock the remaining 8 stages. You can force this trophy by going into Battle from the main menu, and select Vs. CPU to play a single match. Select your stage of choice, your fighters and your stone. Then complete a match. Do this once for every stage you need and once you have fought in every stage the trophy will pop. The trophy will pop at the END of the match if the conditions are met. Edited September 26, 2017 by shrapx
