Theo: The Awakening is a turn based strategy survival game set in a Fantasy world full of mystical creatures from Slavic Mythology. You play as one of the available gods (2 at the start and 8 when all are unlocked) controlling your followers guiding them to the light by developing towns and go on expeditions. Once you get the hang of the menus and available actions, this is a very enjoyable game but it's a long Platinum so plan accordingly. Your first trophy might take 5–10hrs to achieve and the platinum is a long grind so be prepared for that is that's your goal. The wide range of gameplay features, allows you to proceed through the world of Thea in anyway you choose. You can choose to stay in your village and build up defenses, or you can go out and explore the world. Conflicts can be resolved through assassination, stealth, diplomacy, hunting and various other ways depending on the skills your people possess. Fighting is not your only solution to conflict!

http://i.imgur.com/2E3CAkH.jpg

Step 1: Bring one of your first two gods to level 3

As gods are unlocked at random, simply pick one you think fits you best, the first game is on easy so don't worry to much about the boosts of the god, the game is complex enough in game 1.

During your playthrough, you will get a tutorial and I strongly recommend following it because this a very complex game. The tutorial is not only helpful for explaining stuff but for each question you complete you get experience and rewards which are very handy. You will play many games so don’t worry about any "need to have" trophies for now.

Things you can look out for are:

If you feel you want to be able to play the game a bit slower and learn most of this "easy" playthrough try to focus on: Workshop (B), Factory (B) & Legendary Craftsman (B) (GLITCHED) (Crafting). If you're further in the game and figure you can spend research points freely, pick one of the following trophies to focus on: Master Gatherer (B) (good for the crafting trophies), Master Craftsman (B) (good for the crafting trophies), Master Builder (B) (Good for attracting species). If you have a lot of a certain resource, then look into the options for attracting certain races (See Animal Planet (B) for details). To Focus on one or two races is much more effective then to try and get them all in one game. Also win a game: Saving Hand (S). As you play on easy and focus on dragging the game out (for god experience, research points and the story, also aim for Storyteller (G) to get this trophy you will need to finish the giants quest which gives you the option to get Diplomat (G) or Warmonger (G).

Trophies earned in this step:

Anything, just learn the game you have a lot of games still to do, enjoy the game and what comes that comes.

The following steps can be done in any order:

Step 2: Full victory, any difficulty with any god

Depending on your first game you might have gotten Storyteller (G) but if not, then do it now this and pick a way to deal with the giants which hasn't been done before to get Diplomat (G) or Warmonger (G). Difficulty doesn't matter so use another god to unlock more of them. Remember to attract spices you don't have to trophy for you and focus on max 2 at the time. Also try to fill another skill tree. Difficulty doesn't matter.

Trophies earned in this step:

1 out of 3 research trees

2+ out of 7 attraction race trophies

Awakened (B) (If your reached level 3 with your god and didn’t do that in step 1)

Supreme Deity (S) (If your reached level 5 with your god and didn’t do that in step 1, which is not likely)

Diplomat (G) or Warmonger (G)

Storyteller (G)

My game was with Lada level 1 and on 165% difficulty and ended with her on level 3

Step 3: Survive 300 days on 250%+ difficulty, with any god

Simple, stay alive and drag out the game. You can try to attract species and finish with any victory type you want, as you don't have to win for this trophy to pop but if you do go for a win then an Advancement victory is advised (thus rendering Step 4 unnecessary).

Trophies earned in this step:

1 out of 3 research trees

2+ out of 7 attraction race trophies

Every Decision Counts (S)

Step 4: Advancement victory, any difficulty, with any god

For the Advancement victory, Overlord (S), you will need to achieve 3 out of the 4 optional goals. Aim for 50 population with Baby Boom (B) (15 children) & Divine Army (B) (40+ population) in mind. Also, 3 grand buildings and research are good to combine, and buildings attract villagers and children. Note: Difficulty isn't important for the trophies but having more then 100% is recommended, because you will need to level up all gods to level 5 so getting good experience is important in the long run and same goes for any God. You can play with any god but it's recommended that you never use a level 5 god because they won't get any experience which means the experience of this game will be lost.

Important note: You cannot do the cosmic tree or divine quests in this game, as if you finish those the advancement victory will not pop even if you have 3 out of 4 requirements met.

Trophies earned in this step:

1 out of 3 research trees

2+ out of 7 attraction race trophies

Divine Army (B)

Overlord (S)

Baby Boom (B)

Step 5: Speed run, 210%+, Any god

Finish the tutorial ASAP, once done you want to craft yourself some armours. The cosmic tree quest will pop up sooner than later after the tutorial is done. Now, bring everyone from your village -1 and do the quests asap.

In your first encounter with the "tree with eyes", fight and kill him to save time. See Whoa, where's the fire? (S) for details. Also for info on the save abuse you can use which will let you retry any challenge over and over.

Trophies earned in this step:

No Easy Tasks (G)

Whoa, where's the fire? (S)

Step 6: Win 310%+ difficulty, your best god not yet level 5

You don't need to hurry but note that the world around you gets strong quickly so speed does help. Also you will notice that food runs out quickly so your resource management is an important point. It took me 134 days to finish the cosmic tree questline so try it yourself or abuse the saving system (see Whoa, where's the fire? (S) for detail of the exploit).

Trophies earned in this step:

Piece of Cake (G)

Supreme Deity (S)

Step 7: Cleanup, any difficulty, any none lvl 5 god

There probably are trophies still not done, like one of the two giant quests or maybe some of the research, skull, crafting or village size (children) trophies. Also not all your gods will be level 5. So go and work on those trophies while levelling up your gods. Remember never to play a lvl 5 god.

You have 3 options for farming god xp:

 • Finishing a game on high difficulty ASAP, like Step 6 win 310%+ difficulty, your best god not yet level 5.
 • Finish a game on a fairly normal/highest difficulty and stretch it out to get experience e.g. you playing +/- 200% and going for an advancement victory will earn you a ton of experience for research, buildings, events entered and village size.
 • Finish a game on a fairly normal/highest difficulty and do all main quest lines; Cosmic tree, Devine quest, Giants. Play +/- 200%. To get those done you've survived a while and likely got some research done and building constructed.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/9ea.jpg God of Thea (P)

Congratulations! You have proven yourself as the rightful ruler and savior of Thea!

Earn all the other trophies to get this one.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/3f1.jpg Awakened (B)

Unlock a god.

You will unlock a god by reaching level 3 with another god, you start with 2 gods unlocked from among Veles, Svarog, Zorya, Horos, Mokosh and Morena. See Full Pantheon for more details.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/724.jpg Full Pantheon (S)

Unlock all gods.

You will start with 2 gods unlocked from among Veles, Svarog, Zorya, Horos, Mokosh and Morena. The remaining four are unlocked one at a time randomly when you reach level 3 on any god that you have already unlocked. Lada is unlocked by completing the Cosmic Tree questline in a playthrough and lastly, Perun is unlocked by unlocking all of the others.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/0db.jpg Supreme Deity (S)

Unlock all levels on a god.

Here is how you earn XP for your god:

- Turns survived

- Receipts researched

- Events taken part in

- Rarest item

- Victory conditions met

- God's duty quest

- Hexes scouted

- Villagers experience gained

- Multiplier for the difficulty you're playing on.

When you press options :circle: and go to "current score" you can see your score (which equals experience) of the current game for each category and see how much that would progress your god.

Here are my 3 recommendations for maximising your XP gain:

 • Finishing a game on high difficulty ASAP, like in Step 5 of the Road Map
 • Finish a game on a fairly normal/highest difficulty and stretch is out to get experience. Say you play +/- 200% and go for advancement victory will get you nice experience for research, buildings, events entered and village size.
 • Finish a game on a fairly normal/highest difficulty and do all main quest lines; Cosmic tree, Devine quest, Giants. Play +/- 200%. To get those done, you must have survived a while, done some research and constructed a lot of building.

The trophy will pop when your first god hits level 5.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/92f.jpg Absolute Power (G)

Unlock all levels on all gods.

This trophy will likely be your last, as it will pop once all of your gods have hit level 5. See Supreme Deity for info on how to get experience for your god.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/ff5.jpg Master Gatherer (B)

Unlock all gathering resources.

On the right of the screen you have 2 sort of counters, 1 is a flask for research and 1 is a book for experience. This quest has to do with the flask. The flask indicated your research experience. Example 2/10 this means currently you have 2 experience and you will need 10 in total to get your next research point (it works like a level up). You get research experience from challenges you do with your exploration party and random events but it goes very slow! What you can/should do to speed up the process is craft equipment and build buildings for which you will need resources. Note: You can dismantle equipment to get resources from it which will help you last longer with resources while crafting purely for experience points.

You will need 41 research point to fill the Resources tree. The image below, states AP for advancement points (which is what they are called in the PC version but the costs are the same):

ymF7JNd.png

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/647.jpg Master Craftsman (B)

Unlock all crafting recipes.

See Master Gatherer for details on how to get research points to spend. The image below, states AP for advancement points (which is what they are called in the PC version but the costs are the same). You will need 21 points to unlock all crafting recipes:

hPERQkh.png

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/dbe.jpg Master Builder (B)

Unlock all construction recipes.

See Master Gatherer for details on how to get research points to spend. The image below, states AP for advancement points (which is what they called in the PC version but the costs are the same). You will need 15 points to unlock all construction recipes:

nxO6Ech.png

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/2fc.jpg Saving Hand (S)

Win the game.

There are multiple ways to win a game, most straight forwards it to finish the Cosmic Tree quest, see Storyteller for details, this trophy also shows details for the Divine quest line which is another victory option. Another option is to win via Advancement victory see Overlord for details. Note: You can only play one game at a time (so no multiple save slots) so you need to win, lose or quit before you can start another game. You need various victories for other trophies so don't worry about this one, as you will get it while working on the others.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/936.jpg Whoa, where's the fire? (S)

Win the game in less than 100 turns.

This is much easier than you might think as the game has a huge luck factor when you choice to auto resolve challenges. It's a bit of a cheat but it works! Put the game on any difficulty you want (I did it on 250%+ but make sure you have a small world) choose to focus on crafting, this give you the most speech points, if you have a god that gives you extra speech or attraction, you can pick that for a bigger boost but it’s not a "must have" for this to work.

Step 1: Start the game with the tutorial, finish that ASAP, in the meantime try to expand the resource and craft tree, craft yourself some armours.

Step 2: If you're quick the Cosmic tree quest will start around turn 15-25. Take all your villagers -1 (take all crafters with you & leave a gatherer), make sure you have a enough food and fuel to last you 20 turns or so (more is better), and don’t starve your village. Now go to the quest mark, don’t start it yet!

Step 3: Whilst at quest marker, go to options (press :circle:) and select save & quit. Now continue the game and you will still be there so start the challenge choose "Social" and "Auto resolve". If you won, go to Step 5 but if you lost go to Step 4. The only exception is the first quest against Mad Leshy (he's the first quest mark after Theodor introduces the quest, kill him to save lots of time. You won't have to find his brother so do a challenge there, then return.

Step 4: Before pressing to leave to mission summary (by pressing :circle:) close the application and restart it. Now select continue and you will be back at the beginning of Step 3 with no days passed, no damage done and you can retry it again. Even a 5 skull fight will be won in a few tries (the final quest took me 5 tries that was maximum for me).

Step 5: Good on you, now move as fast as you can to the next quest marker for the mission, don't start it yet! Repeat step 3 (and 4) until the full quest line is done. The final battle with Zmey can be a but annoying but just repeat until you win, which took me 5 or 6 times but can off course take longer. You have selected a small map to minimize the amount walking you have to do. I totally got lost and lost 10 days walking but still finished on day 81 so it's very doable!

This tactic also works for 300%+ difficulty but it takes more resets to pull it off.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/519.jpg No Easy Tasks (G)

Win the game on 210% difficulty or more.

See Saving Hand for how to win and Piece of Cake for some difficulty information. Now pick your settings which results in 210% or more difficulty and finish the game (speed is irrelevant but if you have 250%+ and take 300+ days in game you will also get Every Decision Counts, see the trophy details of Every Decision Counts for some detail tactics).

Alternatively, when you finished within 100 days (which is very doable) you will also get Whoa, where's the fire? so see Whoa, where's the fire? for more details. I combined these two trophies and still finished in 81 days, thus getting both trophies.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/b97.jpg Long Days, Long Nights (B)

Play for a total of 1000 turns.

This will come naturally, plus it's cumulative across all your playthroughs. The maximum days you need within a single game is 300 for the Every Decision Counts trophy.

Have population of 40 or more.

Grown ups count towards your population but children don't. The population is noted above your village and exploration groups. It's a sum of all villagers (in the village or exploring) that needs to be 40 to get the trophy. Note you need 50 to get 1 out of the 4 goals for the Advance Achievement (Overlord).

Note: Gaining population has a curve, meaning you will get more new people when you have a low population and only very rarely will someone join you once you get to 35+. The best way to get more villagers is by attracting species (see Animal Planet) and via events.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/095.jpg Animal Planet (B)

Attract a Beast by constructing the appropriate building.

The attraction bonuses from buildings appear, if certain materials are used in construction but it depends on the volume of material used (that's why buildings which require more resources, tend to produce better attraction bonuses). The following materials grant attraction bonuses, when used in construction:

http://i.imgur.com/Om6R5HR.png

The manger is the only building, which has an intrinsic Attract Beast bonus. It does not depend on attraction materials but rather it scales as all other primary attributes do, based on the rarity of the materials used in construction. The list of maximum attraction bonuses from buildings is as follows:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/940.jpg Baby Boom (B)

Have 15 or more kids (in 1 game).

The Cabbage Field is a building that attracts children to the village. Contrary to the in-game description, it does not give any vegetables. Build the Cabbage Field from MoonStones and Nimblewood for +10 attract children and +2 Attract Human. Next to the cabbage field, are events that will be your best bet to gain children. You can get various stories to gain 1 to 4 children per event. Here are a few events to take note of:

 • When you encounter the slavers, choose tactics! Win to get +2 children
 • When you encounter the child and the cat, split up your team and win the fight to get +1 child
 • When you get the smith who wants to date the demon, don't give the children to the demon + 4 children
 • Always invite refugees to join your village, they won't but sometimes they leave children. (+1 to 3 children)

Note that you need 15 children in 1 game at the same time (combined inventory of the village and explorers) so having 12 children and 3 already grown into adulthood characters won't do for the trophy.

See Factory.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/a3c.jpg Factory (B)

Complete 100 non-food crafting recipes.

Food crafting recipes don't count but Tools, Weapons, Ranged Weapons Shields, Armours, Jewellery and Artefacts do. In your settlement, go to the Crafting tab and choose the category of item you want to craft. You then have to designate the materials from which your villagers will craft the item. Specific combinations of materials will give different results so be sure to experiment! Please see the video below for how to craft something (Credit to A'vee Firestorm):

[ame]

[/ame]

Recipes are grouped into categories, such as Light Armour. Crafting categories are unlocked through research. Once a category is unlocked, you can craft anything from the most basic to the most advanced item within that category. The difference is all in what materials you use: If you use low-tier materials, a basic item is created and if you use high-tier materials, an advanced item is created.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/80a.jpg Local Hero (S)

Win a 5-skull challenge.

Skulls indicate the difficulty of challenges/fights. When you start out, there will be fights rated at 1 and 2 skull difficulties and once the world progresses you will find enemies with a higher Skull rating. A (white) 5-skull fight is usually a boss fight but you will encounter them during the cosmic tree quest, divine quest, giant quests, some dragons or spirits events etc. once you beat the first 5 skull enemy the trophy will pop for you. This will likely happy during your first game if you finish the cosmic tree quest.

Note: Once the world progresses you sometimes come against orange/red skulls a 1 red skull enemy is stronger than a 5 white skull enemy. Giants per example have 1 or 2 red skulls so do some spirits. Defeating a red skull enemy does count as a 5 skull kill for Dragon Slayer. Remember that completing a challenge with Social, intelligence, hex or any other items will also count and in general is safer than the "fight" option.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/bab.jpg Dragon Slayer (S)

Win 50 5-skull challenges.

See Local Hero for details on 5-skull challenges but for this trophy you need to win 50 of them in total over your many playthroughs. This trophy is cumulative so you can take your time with it.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/669.jpg Overlord (S)

Win by Advancement Victory.

Within the Options menu, you can go to the Progress menu and check your progress towards this trophy. To get an Advancement Victory, you need to complete 3 out of the 4 of the following tasks:

 1. Have a population of 50
 2. Unlocked 70% of the tech tree
 3. Build 3 grand buildings
 4. Win 40 4 skull fights (5 skulls count as well)

fYa71iW.jpg

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/f9d.jpg Every Decision Counts (S)

Survive 300 turns on Lord of Thea difficulty (250%+).

See Piece of Cake for difficulty info. For this trophy you don't have to win the game so keep that in mind. What I did was set the difficulty to 250+ (I think I did it on 255 see the screenshot below) and used my time to fill the resources/gathering technology tree. I didn't do any quests, (maybe rarely a random event but no main quests) just focus on staying alive and evolve, research resources and some crafting to get spent the resources for extra research point. Survive and when you get to turn 301, the trophy will pop:

GeRHd2U.jpg

I went for the advance achievement (Overlord) because by the time you have the resource tree full and 70% of all technologies researched, creating expensive buildings is easy. Sadly my village died while I was at 20 4-skull challenges so if you want to do that, don't take all -1 villagers with you on your expedition.

Finish Divine Quest, Cosmic Tree Quest and Giants Quest in one game.

Divine Quest:
Each god has a Divine Quest, it starts after number of turns (112 for 0% world progression, 67 for 10%, 46 turn for 15%).

Each god quest is different but as for all questlines, you have got to go from marker to marker; completing challenges and making choices. Once you have completed the divine questline, your god will be pleased and new challenge/conversation options will be available for you.

Cosmic tree quests:
Each game has a Cosmic tree questline:

 • Theodor introduces the quest - Go visit the dead elf with the note. A map marker appears
 • Once you find the marker/mad Leshy you get to option to fight or be social. If you fight and defeat him skip point 3 and go directly to 4
 • Find mad Leshy's brother (friendly Leshy), finish the challenge and get the item to return to mad Leshy
 • Mad leshy again, you either killed him or gave him the items, how you have the elf who gives you directions to the Cosmic Shards.
 • The Cosmos Shards are guarded by a Dragon, you can either kill him or complete the social and hex challenge to get the Shards.
 • Optional; visit the orc, nothing important happens but it’s part of the story
 • Go back to the elf and choose to side with the Elves, Orcs or Humans. This impacts who in the end joins your village but not for the trophy
 • Zmey = the final battle, beat him in any way you like
 • final decision; decide on the future of Thea, none of these choice impact gameplay or story, just pick one and the trophy will pop for you.

Giant quests:
Phase 1. At some point during your play (depending on the world progression, approx. 100 turns) you will start to get events which tremble the world, these events can happen both in town and on expedition. You will get the option to "hold on to something" and sometimes have to engage in a physical challenge to complete the event.

Phase 2. After say 6 of these events (Approximately 150-200 turns into the game) an NPC will come and tell you about the giants, the NPC is based on the side you picked in the Cosmic tree questline but the message is the same no matter who comes to tell you. You will get a random marker on the map which you will have to visit. Once you're there you will know which race you will be dealing with (these are random) but the idea is the same, you get two options. 1. Kill the giants and 2. Find the Weatherer.

For finishing the Giants Quest by killing the giants, see Warmonger but see Diplomat if finishing the Giants Quest with the help of the Weatherer.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5923/593.jpg Diplomat (G)

Finish Giants Quest with the help of the Weatherer.

See Storyteller for details on how to start the Giants Quest. Summary:
You will feel the ground starting to tremble and can choose to "hold on to something" this starts after 100 – 150 turns and will happen 6 to 10 times before a visitor will come to you and tell you about the giants showing you a random marker on the map to go to, once there you will find a shaman of a race (at random) giving you 2 options; 1 find the Weatherer 2. Kill the giants).

Once you have made the choice to go and find the Weatherer, you can either get event A or B as your next event followed by C, D etc. in order.

A. Wildwife the Female Giant:

When you come across Wildwife the female giant, pick the social challenge and ask her where the Planetnik is.

B. Giant tracks:

Your scouts find some Giant tracks. +1XP. "Looking for the Weatherer" map marker appears.

C. Great crater:

If you encountered A. Wildwife the Female Giant and left her peacefully go and look for her in the crater but if you didn’t encounter A. Wildwife the Female Giant, then choose to feed the babies if your best option. If you do that you can return two more times for feeding and gems rewards.

D. Vielkolud:

A moving map marker appears once arrive:

 1. choose to talk and enter the physical challenge (4 skulls)
 2. look for Wildwives and enter the physical challenge (4 skulls) Unless you have a ghost.
 3. IF you have a ghost let them leave.

E. The Weatherer:

Choose not to attack but to talk (4 skull hex or Physical challenge) and when he asks if you know what he needs to do you choose "Yes we do". If he doesn't trust you, you will have to help him rescue my fellow Planetnik from a group of pesky softskins live yourselves. Once this is done you get a new marker on the map.

F. Settlement:

There are two different options which can happen now but let's assume you did help some of the giants in the past. You approach the settlement:

 1. You can either Attack or talk to the people (leads to the end end)
 2. Unliving giants attack. You can fight or outwit the giants result is the same but fighting gives you loot.

G. Umbrage lord:

Approach the Umbrage Lord! The Weather appears at your side to assist you

 • 5 red skull fight = Lots of loot
 • 5 red skull social = Gain a planetnik (giant)

Both options will give you the trophy.

Finish Giants Quest by killing the giants.

See Storyteller for details on how to start the Giants Quest. Summary:
You will feel the ground starting to tremble and you can choose to "hold on to something" this starts after 100 – 150 turns and will happen 6 to 10 times before a visitor will come to you and tell you about the giants showing you a random marker on the map to go to, once there you will find a shaman of a race (at rondam) giving you 2 options; 1 find the Weatherer 2. Kill the giants).

Once you find the shaman, choose to kill the giants. Once done, you need to kill 4 to 6 groups of giants via a fight because sneak, social etc. won't count towards beating the groups and neither does defending. A Group of giants varies between 4 skulls to 2 red skulls. There and many groups and giant caves, much more than 4 so 4 shouldn't be a big challenge. Note: Giants are strong at approx 250+ life and 150+ Blunt DMG so be prepared!

Once the groups are dead you will get a new marker with their "leader" the Umbrage. He's a 5 red skull fight with 550 life and 170 Blunt DMG and has another giant of 250 life and 150 dmg as support. This fight is tough! After the fight is over, you will claim the loot then the trophy will pop.

Beat the game on True God of Thea difficulty (300%+).

You can change your settings before you start your game, changing settings changes your difficulty %. Per my example: The standard Easy mode is 65% difficulty but when your change reshuffles to "Paid", the difficulty will be 65+15 = 80%. See the image below for the changes you can make and the impact they will have on your difficulty %. My 300%+ (at 315%) settings:

Craft 20 Good Quality items.

GLITCHED

Due to a coding error, you actually need over 50 Good Quality items before this trophy will pop and not the 20 the description says it is.

First you must have a Smithy, then get a decent % on the chance for Good Quality items (see the following screenshots):

Once you have constructed a Smithy, you can craft Good Quality items. Use higher-value catalysts to improve the chance of creating a good-quality item. Note: All 50 Good Quality items have to be created within a single game but remember, you can salvage items for materials.
