  • Additional peripherals required?: Yes, one extra controller needed to get First Ceremony

Introduction:

Welcome to my trophy guide for Pyre. This is a truly fun game and the latest masterpiece by Supergiant Games (Bastion, Transistor). All trophies can easily be done in one playthrough even though most of them are technically missable. The roadmap below is designed to help you get everything in one playthrough.

One note about difficulty – do not play below Standard difficulty as this will affect your ability to get certain difficulty related trophies. Truth be told, Pyre is an easy game even on Standard so you shouldn’t have too many problems, even with the Titan Star related ones.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Play through until your first Liberation Rite

The first part of the game will take you through the mechanics of how to play, introduce characters, etc. Eventually you’ll get to a part where you participate in a Liberation Rite and you’ll have to set one of your party free. Ensure that ‘anointed’ character has achieved 200 Pyre damage before completing the Rite and do not choose Jodariel at this stage.

If you haven’t unlocked that character’s relevant 200 Pyre Damage trophy, then you can easily get it in Practice Rite mode (accessible by clicking on the Beyonder Crystal in your wagon). Just keep playing the Practice Rite over and over again and using your chosen character to deal as much Pyre damage as possible until the trophy unlocks.

By the end of this stage, you should have unlocked:

(B) The Reader

(B) Home Free

Step 2: Focus on 200 Pyre damage for characters, winning against each of the other triumvirates, Titan Star-related trophies, cleanup for other miscellaneous trophies before storyline completion

As this step suggests, this is essentially your ongoing cleanup until you complete the game. A great many of these should unlock naturally, but in this step you want to focus on doing the following:

  • Win against each of the other triumvirates and win in every location (focusing on achieving Feats of Glory in the Rites when they become available for a particular trophy), noting that you will only get two opportunities to beat the other Nightwings (one being the final Liberation Rite). If you think you’re going to lose a critical Rite, you can go to the options screen and restart it.
  • Get at least one of your characters to level 5. You can do this naturally by choosing that character over and over in Rites.
  • Lose a Liberation Rite, but ensure you do not deliberately lose the final Liberation Rite unless you have unlocked Favored to Prevail
  • Get 200 Pyre Damage for each character (unlocking their relevant trophies) before you liberate them. Do not liberate Jodariel until you have bought and leveled up the Cur’s Fang to Level 20, studied in private 10 times during your vocation time (to improve your characters’ stats) and used these two things to unlock Fear Not the Flame. See trophy for more details.
  • Use Practise Rites to get all other combat-related trophies. As soon as you can, play a Practise Rite with Jodariel and Pamitha to unlock New Alliance. This is yet another reason why you shouldn’t liberate Jodariel until the last possible moment.
  • Beat the Pyrehearts with 12 Titan Stars active. This in my experience is the easiest triumvirate to prevail against with all Titan Stars active but you have to do it before the Final Liberation Rite (there are seven in total, so by the fifth or sixth you need to have done this). See the relevant trophies for further details.
  • Spend 1,000 Sol in the Slugmarket (to unlock Big Spender). I’ve highlighted a great trick to unlock this relevant trophy. Check the trophy description for more details. Also, buy Scribe Snuff and Stardust at every opportunity as they will help with quite a few trophies.
  • When you get the flying wagon, bump into as many other wagons as possible and check the flashing circular spots (known as observation points) on your travels. This is to unlock Scourge of the Skies and Sky Explorer.
  • Complete Scribes Trials whenever you can (I’d recommend not liberating any characters whom you haven’t completed trials for yet).
  • Inspect pages from the Book of Rites whenever they are unlocked for Book Worm, talk to other characters in the wagon when you get the chance and play the lute in the wagon.

I know these steps seem overwhelming, but I promise you, this step is much easier than it looks. By the end of this stage, you should have unlocked the following:

(B) The Fast Talker

(B) The Free Spirit

(B) The Fallen Soldier

(S) Gather the Band

(B) Mercy Shown

(S) Master of the Rites

(B) Cover to Cover

(B) Book Worm

(B) Found Your Calling

(B) Star Duster

(S) Crowd Pleaser

(B) Scribes' Chosen

(G) Scribes' Champion

(S) Sandra's Favorite

(B) Mystic Training

(B) There For Them

(G) True Freedom

(B) Big Spender

(S) Returned to Glory

(B) First Whiff

(B) Sky Explorer

(B) Downside Pilgrim

(B) Favored to Prevail

(S) Untouched Flame

(B) Banished One and All

(B) Flame Quencher

(B) Fear Not the Flame

(B) Star Struck

(B) (H) The Serpent Queen

(B) (H) The Plan Maker

(B) (H) New Alliance

(B) (H) Scourge of the Skies

(B) (H) The White Lute

Step 3: Get your platinum by cleaning up in versus mode

After completing the story you’ll want to head over to versus mode and get the last few remaining trophies. None are missable, but a couple of difficulty-related ones may take you a few tries. After this, say hello to a shiny new platinum.

By the end of this stage you should have unlocked the following:

(B) First Ceremony

(B) The Will of the Scribes

(B) Lick of Flame

(S) Enlightened

(S) Master Conductor

(B) (H) Home-field Heroes

(B) (H) Classic Nightwings

(B) (H) Sons of Jomuer

(B) (H) Dames of the Downside

(P) Herald of the Scribes

Trophy Guide:

Story Mode

287.jpg  Herald of the Scribes (P)

Earn all other available trophies in Pyre.

Self-explanatory. Once you have earned all other trophies this bad boy will be yours.

243.jpg  The Reader (B)

Begin your quest for freedom (Campaign)

Story-related and cannot be missed.

This will pop up after you’ve completed the fairly short prologue section of the game.

16d.jpg  The Fast Talker (B)

Using Rukey, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Rukey individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free him but this trophy hasn’t popped, head over to Practise Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Rukey selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

f63.jpg  The Free Spirit (B)

Using Hedwyn, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Hedwyn individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free him but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practise Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Hedwyn selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

9bf.jpg  The Fallen Soldier (B)

Using Jodariel, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Jodariel individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free her but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practise Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Jodariel selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

As mentioned several times before in this guide, don’t liberate Jodariel until you have unlocked certain combat-related trophies such as Fear Not the Flame.

df2.jpg  Gather the Band (S)

Find an exile for each of the different masks (Campaign)

Story-related and cannot be missed.

This will pop up naturally after you’ve recruited every singly character. I’m 99% sure that there is no way you can actually stop a character from joining. Needless to say, if that option to reject a character pops up, definitely don’t take it.

17a.jpg  Home Free (B)

Prevail in a Liberation Rite (Campaign)

This will come naturally through gameplay. You will have seven opportunities to participate in Liberation Rites, where you ‘anoint’ a character of your choice for liberation. Once you win the Rite, that character is gone forever from your party. It’s important not to ‘anoint’ a character unless you have unlocked his/her trophy for dealing 200 Pyre damage.

Additionally, don’t anoint Jodariel unless you have achieved certain combat-trophies such as Fear Not the Flame.

8f6.jpg  Mercy Shown (B)

Suffer defeat in a Liberation Rite (Campaign)

Lose a Liberation Rite, after which this trophy will pop up. If you’re on a roll and have won every single Liberation Rite, it’s important you deliberately lose one. You only have seven opportunities to do this.

Don’t deliberately lose against the final triumvirate (the fake Nightwings, led by a demon called Oralech) unless you have already beaten them in your initial encounter. This is necessary in order to unlock Favored to Prevail.

9aa.jpg  Master of the Rites (S)

Achieve Rank 5 with any exile (Campaign)

Pretty straightforward in that you simply have to get a single character to level 5. By the end of my play through around 2-3 characters had reached level 5. If you’re struggling with this just play Rites using one particular character until you get him/her to level 5.

Alternatively, you can use Vocations to mentor a character to level them up faster, but I would recommend focusing on exhausting your private study (which grants attribute increases to your entire party) opportunities first before going down this route. This is to help you unlock Fear Not the Flame with Jodariel.

b93.jpg  Cover to Cover (B)

Unlock every chapter in the Book of Rites (Campaign)

In the wagon there is a book that you can read to get some background on the Pyre world. As you play through the game pages in this book automatically unlock. I don’t think this trophy is actually missable and should come through natural play. But just in case it is missable, make sure you visit as diverse a selection of locations as you can and have as many conversations as you can in the wagon and this should pop up without any issues.

c8a.jpg  Book Worm

Check 50 different pages in the Book of Rites (Campaign) (B)

In the wagon there is a book that you can read to get some background on the Pyre world. As you play through the game pages in this book automatically unlock. In order for this trophy to lock you need to actually inspect each page that unlock to a total of 50 (you must click on the inspect button for the page to count towards your tally).

This trophy should pop up naturally but to help you, make sure you visit as diverse a selection of locations as you can and have as many conversations as you can in the wagon and this should pop up without any issues.

099.jpg  Found Your Calling (B)

Do Vocations 10 times (Campaign)

Throughout the game you will get the opportunity to learn a Vocation, which consists of either foraging for valuable resources that you can sell in the Slugmarket, engaging in private study that grants a small increase to a particular stat for your whole party, or mentoring a character so that they get a level increase. I’d strongly recommend doing vocations whenever you can (some opportunities can be missable depending on your choices in the story) and focusing on private study until you’ve exhausted this route. Firstly, this route will help you in later and more difficult Rites and secondly, you can easily unlock Fear Not the Flame with Jodariel.

a81.jpg  Star Duster (B)

Upgrade a Talisman to Rank 20 (Campaign)

Throughout the game you will be able to collect talismans by playing through the story or purchasing them from the Slugmarket. Talismans grant bearers special abilities or a boost to their stats. You can upgrade talismans by purchasing Star Dust from the Slugmarket. To unlock this trophy, purchase enough Star Dust to upgrade a particular talisman to level 20.

I’d recommend upgrading the Cur’s Fang as it grants the bearer increased Pyre damage. It will also help you achieve Fear Not the Flame with Jodariel, as long as you have used your vocations wisely.

3a1.jpg  Crowd Pleaser (S)

Complete three Feats of Glory (Campaign)

Midway through the game you will get the chance to win some money by completing a certain task such as inflicting Pyre damage using a certain character. These are called Feats of Glory. Complete three of them and the trophy is yours. If you are worried about running out of opportunities to achieve this then you can always restart a Rite through the options menu. The Feat of Glory will reset itself as well.

5ca.jpg  Scribes' Chosen (B)

Prevail in a Rite with three or more Titan Stars active (Campaign)

See Scribes’ Champion for further details.

e2d.jpg  Scribes' Guardian (S)

Prevail in a Rite with six or more Titan Stars active (Campaign)

See Scribes’ Champion for further details.

431.jpg  Scribes' Champion (G)

Prevail in a Rite with 12 Titan Stars active (Campaign)

This is probably the hardest trophy in the game, but still simple to unlock if you know how. I got this the first time I attempted it using the below video as guidance. Titan Stars (selected before a Rite) basically make an individual Rite harder for you by making your team weaker or your opposition stronger. The payoff is that you level up faster as a result. Here are my tips for getting this trophy:

  • Don’t bother attempting this until all Titan Stars have unlocked. You will automatically get the other two Scribes’ trophies once you have unlocked this.
  • I would strongly recommend go up against the Pyrehearts when attempting this using a team of Volfred, Bertrude and Pamitha (as recommended by the video). They’re piss easy to defend against and you can usually create many opportunities to douse their Pyre.
  • Do not do this on less than Standard difficulty. Reduced difficulty will not unlock the trophy.
  • Use the below video as a guide for getting this trophy effectively (all credit goes to rmchiva925).

f9a.jpg  Sandra's Disciple (B)

Complete two Scribe Trials in the Beyonder Crystal (Campaign)

See Sandra’s Favorite for further details.

29a.jpg  Sandra's Favorite (S)

Complete five Scribe Trials in the Beyonder Crystal (Campaign)

The Beyonder Crystal, located in the wagon, gives you access to Scribe Trials, where one of your party will go up against a full triumvirate. Win five and this trophy will unlock. I’d highly recommend doing these as and when they unlock and definitely before you decide to liberate a character whose trial is available. They’re easy enough to do and will give you a useful talisman exclusive to the successful character.

ce1.jpg  Mystic Training (B)

Complete a Practice Rite in the Beyonder Crystal (Campaign)

Straightforward. Access the Beyonder Crystal, complete a Practice Rite and this trophy should unlock.

038.jpg  There For Them (B)

Initiate 20 different conversations in the blackwagon (Campaign)

At any given junction, you may see a speech bubble icon hovering outside your wagon icon. Click the wagon icon to enter it and talk to the character who is present there. Repeat 20 times and this trophy should unlock. Easy peasy.

2bc.jpg  True Freedom (G)

Complete your quest for freedom (Campaign)

Story-related and cannot be missed

Complete the story and this trophy will unlock.

1b3.jpg  Big Spender (B)

Spend 1,000 Sol in the Slugmarket (Campaign)

Before a Rite takes place you can visit the Slugmarket to purchase goods such as talismans. The 1,000 Sol target is purely on goods paid for (sold goods don’t have an effect). If you’re struggling for whatever reason, you can simply sell a talisman, buy it back for the same price, then repeat the process until the trophy unlocks.

e8c.jpg  Returned to Glory (S)

Liberate any three exiles from your party (Campaign)

Win three Liberation Rites and this trophy will unlock.

8dd.jpg  First Whiff (B)

Use Scribe Snuff to reset an exile's Masteries (Campaign)

Scribe Snuff can be purchased at the Slugmarket and allows you to reset a character’s Masteries (special abilities granted through leveling up). Purchase one, reset a character’s abilities and this trophy will unlock.

88e.jpg  Sky Explorer (B)

While flying, interact with 10 different observation points (Campaign)

Later on in the game your wagon will be able to fly around the world. As you do so, you may notice flashing circular spots that you can interact with and bring up character dialogue. Interact with 10 of them and the trophy will pop up.

b71.jpg  Downside Pilgrim (B)

Prevail in a Rite at each of the Celestial Landmarks (Campaign)

This should come naturally but simply ensure you win every one of your initial round of matches up to and including your first Liberation Rite and this should unlock. If not, I’m pretty sure there is just one more arena that unlocks later on in the game where you simply need to win.

9e1.jpg  Favored to Prevail (B)

Prevail in a Rite against each of the other triumvirates (Campaign)

This is one of the most missable trophies in the game because you only get two opportunities to beat the fake Nightwings triumvirate that you encounter midway through (your initial meeting and the final Liberation Rite). Ensure you beat them during one these two Rites and of course beat the other triumvirates and this trophy will unlock.

989.jpg  Untouched Flame (S)

Prevail in a Rite without your Pyre taking damage (Campaign)

As the description suggests, you have to score a flawless victory. I personally got this in Practice Rite mode late in the game. I just selected a strong defensive character (Jodariel or Volfred) and won through focusing on banishing the opposition and using fast offensive characters (Rukey, Tizo or Sir Gilman) to unlock this.

abd.jpg  Banished One and All (B)

During a Rite, banish three adversaries with a single Aura Cast (Campaign)

Use one of your characters Aura Casts to eliminate all three of the opposition in one go. There is a very easy way to unlock this trophy. Go to Practice Mode in the Beyonder Crystal and select Jodariel as one of your triumvirate (it doesn’t matter about the other two). The opposition will not move until you pick up the Orb, so maneuver Jodariel to a position where you can line up all three enemies with a single Aura Blast. Cast away and this trophy should unlock.

f24.jpg  Flame Quencher (B)

Prevail in a Rite in no more than three dousings (Campaign)

Basically, win a Rite in three goes or less (it doesn’t matter if your own Pyre gets doused in the process) I got this in Practice Rite mode mainly with Jodariel using a fully levelled up Curs Fang. Whenever she was permanently banished, I then used Bertrude as her sub due to her speed and damage.

dd7.jpg  Fear Not the Flame (B)

During a Rite, douse the adversary's Pyre by 40 health or more (Campaign)

I am SURE there is an easier way to do this (and would love to hear how in the comments), but for me this was a pretty missable trophy. I achieved this by using Jodariel with a fully levelled up Cur’s Fang and by exhausting the private study Vocations route (so that eventually all characters would have +2 Glory). Jodariel has a base glory of 30. With her Glory at 32 following the private study Vocations and a fully power Curs Fang (+8 Glory) I was able to get her up to 40 Glory. I then entered Practise Mode, scored a dousing with Jodariel and this trophy popped up.

089.jpg  Star Struck (B)

During a Rite, fling the Orb at an adversary, then banish them within two sec. (Campaign)

This is a dumb luck trophy. You need to chuck an Orb so that it is automatically caught by the opponent and then banish him/her using an Aura Cast. I achieved this by throwing an Orb at an opponent using Pamitha and then using her dash attack as a follow up. Practice Rite mode is your best friend here because opponents don’t start attacking you until you have picked up the Orb. So I would recommend that as the route to take.

366.jpg  The Faithful Drifter (B)(H)

Using the Stowaway, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

The girl who you pick up early on in the story (you probably named her Rhae, Shae etc.) individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free her but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practice Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with the stowaway selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

24b.jpg  The Little Watcher (B)(H)

Using Ti'zo, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Ti'zo individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free him but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practice Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Ti'zo selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

729.jpg  The Honor Seeker (B)(H)

Using Sir Gilman, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Gilman individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free him but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practice Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Gilman selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

de7.jpg  The Guilty Sister (B)(H)

Using Pamitha, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Pamitha individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free her but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practice Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Pamitha selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

daf.jpg  The Serpent Queen (B)(H)

Using Bertrude, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Bertrude individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free her but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practice Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Bertrude selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

41d.jpg  The Plan Maker (B)(H)

Using Volfred, deal 200 Pyre Damage (Campaign)

Volfred individually needs to deliver 200 Pyre Damage cumulatively (basically, points stack up) in multiple Rites before this pops up. If you reach a Liberation Rite and are planning to free him but this trophy hasn’t popped up, head over to Practice Rite mode (accessed through the Beyonder Crystal in the wagon) and keep playing Rites (with Volfred selected in your triumvirate) until this pops up.

I found Volfred the hardest to get this trophy for because he is a highly defensive and slow character, so you may need Practice Rite for him more than the others.

34a.jpg  New Alliance (B)(H)

Prevail in a Rite using Jodariel and Pamitha (Campaign)

Jodariel and Pamitha hate each other and they won’t fight alongside each other in the Rites until later on in the story when they make amends. Once they make peace, select them in the same team, win and this trophy will pop up.

A much easier and quicker way is to select them both in Practice Rite mode and this will also count (even if it doesn’t make much sense).

422.jpg  Scourge of the Skies (B)(H)

While flying, bump into five different adversaries' wagons (Campaign)

Later on in the game your wagon will be able to fly around the world. As you do so, you will notice other wagons carrying your opposition flying around. Crash your own wagon into them whenever you get the chance to bring up some often funny dialogue. Repeat five times, and this trophy is yours.

4d3.jpg  The White Lute (B)(H)

Use the White Lute to play a tune (Campaign)

At some point in the story, a minstrel travelling with you will set up his lute in the wagon. Click on it, select one of the tunes from the awesome soundtrack and this trophy will unlock.

Versus Mode

4ce.jpg  First Ceremony (B)

Complete a Rite against another mortal (Versus Mode)

Play a Rite in Versus Mode against another player (or empty controller). Complete it and this trophy should unlock.

1f3.jpg  The Will of the Scribes (B)

Complete a Rite against a CPU opponent (Versus Mode)

Play a Rite against the computer (you can use any difficulty or settings), complete it and this trophy should unlock.

914.jpg  Enlightened (S)

Prevail in a Rite against a Master-level CPU opponent (Versus Mode, default Talismans and Masteries)

You have to turn up the CPU difficulty to the highest level and beat your opposition triumvirate. My recommendation is to select a triumvirate with a good defensive base (I usually go for Volfred, Bertrude and Pamitha) and then select a fast opposition because their damage potential is low. I got this on my first try, but this trophy really only requires perseverance and a bit of luck.

b9b.jpg  Lick of Flame (B)

Prevail in a Rite against a CPU opponent while you have less than 10 Pyre Health (Versus Mode with default Masteries, Talismans, Pyre Health)

This can be tricky to get and may take you several tries. Play a match against the CPU with default settings (although any difficulty will suffice) and win the match with your own Pyre at less than 10. I personally achieved this using an opposition triumvirate of Hedwyn and two of the curs on CPU difficulty 3. To mathematically get your Pyre lower than 10 without losing outright, Hedwyn HAS to score just once. Then get your Pyre less than 10, win the match and the trophy should unlock.

9b3.jpg  Master Conductor (S)

Prevail against a Master CPU opponent with six or more Titan Stars active (Versus Mode with default Masteries, Talismans, Pyre Health)

Another of the hardest trophies to achieve but easy when you know how. You have to turn up the CPU difficulty to the highest level and beat your opposition triumvirate with six Titan stars active (all other settings at default level). I personally achieved this using the following:

  • Do not, under any circumstances, select Yslach Astral-Born. It makes the opposition incredibly difficult to beat.
  • My personal Titan Star selection was as follows - Endriga the Widow, Limbless Arizech, Unfathomed Plurnes, Lord Gandroth, Time-Singer Harn, Bialanthius. The reasoning for this was because they are mainly provide stat buffs to the opposition and the additional damage they would inflict would be minimal.
  • I then used my default triumvirate of Volfred, Bertrude and Pamitha against Sir Gilman, Sir Deluge and Tizo. My reference video was the one posted under Scribes’ Champion

That is it really. The rest is down to a bit of skill, luck and perseverance. I got this on my third try and if you’ve played through the story first then you should get this fairly easily.

07e.jpg  Home-field Heroes (B)(H)

Prevail at the Isle of Khaylmer using Ti'zo and Messenger Imp (Versus Mode)

In versus mode, pick Ti'zo and Messenger Imp alongside another companion of your choice and win against the CPU (or another player). CPU difficulty or opposition selection doesn’t matter, but it’s important you select Isle of Khaylmer as the location.

b8b.jpg  Classic Nightwings (B)(H)

Prevail using Volfred, Ti'zo, and Oralech (Versus Mode)

In versus mode, pick Volfred, Ti'zo, and Oralech and win against the CPU (or another player). CPU difficulty or opposition selection doesn’t matter.

6a6.jpg  Sons of Jomuer (B)(H)

Prevail using Rukey, Barker, and Dalbert (Versus Mode)

In versus mode, pick Rukey, Barker, and Dalbert and win against the CPU (or another player). CPU difficulty or opposition selection doesn’t matter.

ff1.jpg  Dames of the Downside (B)(H)

Prevail using Sandra, Tamitha, and Udmildhe (Versus Mode)

In versus mode, pick Sandra, Tamitha, and Udmildhe and win against the CPU (or another player). CPU difficulty or opposition selection doesn’t matter.

  • 2 weeks later...

It's also possible to use the PS vitas remote play function instead of a second controller.

The Vita has no R2/L2 buttons, so it's no "fun" oft course, but it works fine (for trophy purpose).

I've got both "first ceremony" and "lick of a flame" using this method.

Thanks for the guide btw, it's quite helpful. :D

Thanks Arvensis. I'll see if I can get this amended in the guide and give you appropriate credit.

Thanks for the guide!

You might wanna add the information that failing to prevail at least once against a Titan Star modded Rite will result in not unlocking the 5th Chapter of The Book of Rites and, thus, preventing the Reader from achieving Cover to Cover. Apparently, this is the only missable chapter of the Book.

I suggest not loseing your first liberation right to just get it out of the way. I'm almost done with the game and am unable to re battle the team from the first liberation right because they have no leader. So I now need another play through to get the all teams beaten trophy.

I ran into the same issue. I thought I would be smart and lose the first one as well for the trophy when I did this game last year. I ended up missing the trophy for beating all other teams due to this because the guide doesn't mention that once a rival team wins a liberation rite that IT NEVER RETURNS. It cost me several hours of game time correcting this mistake because I couldn't find any information online about this particular scenario at the time.

So just to be clear, if you want the platinum in one run you cannot lose the first liberation rite.

Also, I didn't see any information about another particular nuance of the game that could potentially be catastrophic to someone's platinum plans. When you win a liberation rite it only lets you pick from your 3 most used team members since the last liberation rite you participated in as a potential candidate for liberation. That caught me way off guard because obviously the 3 most used are the ones I wanted to keep to make the game easier for me to finish at the time. Well, that isn't quite how it works so you need to know which team member you want to liberate at the start of that liberation cycle and put them in your active team or you're gonna get screwed.

Finally, Tizo is extremely overpowered with the Haub's Wing at max level. He completely breaks the game. Pamitha is the second best character so if you want an easy time just use those two and have a third wheel that you're gonna liberate in each cycle.

Thanks for the guide MisterAmj! I guess it could have been a little more detailed or precise about some stuff (like a list of triumvirates and celestial landmarks would have been nice), but it still did the job!

Thank you so much for this, I was planning to do exactly the same thing. I ended up losing the 2nd or 3rd liberation rite (after backing up my save to the cloud so I could retrieve and reload it afterwards and win that rite ).

And thanks you as well for this! Although I'm not sure if using them is enough, or if they actually have to douse the other pyre or banish adversaries enough to be eligible. I thought I primed Sir Gilman for the 4th rite, using him in every rite of this cycle, but he still wasn't eligible for liberation and I had to let Pamitha go a little earlier than expected. :o

(And agreed on Ti'zo, so damn cute but so deadly.)

Great guide, I just have one remark.

The campaign can be played on the easiest difficulty.

When u want to get the trophy scribe’s champion, just bump up the difficulty to standard. When u start the match and move your player, put it on easiest setting again. Play the match. It shouldn’t be too difficult to win, but just right before you are about to score the winning point, set it on standard difficulty again. U will still earn those trophies. It s a great exploit if you are struggling with those trophies.
