But Don’t Worry About Bringing A Friend

You can swap between your three agents on the fly, giving characters a chance to recover health, or substituting characters who are better suited for particular situations. While Volition’s previous games have incorporated co-op, Agents of Mayhem is a solo outing. The team didn’t want players to feel like they were missing out on anything if they weren’t able to wrangle up a partner

There is a Pseudo-Co-op Feature in the game called Connected Contracts. These Contracts contain a large amount of objectives, the one im currently on requires 1800 kills, 900 special kills, 300 mayhem kills. Multiple players can all be working on the same contract, aka all kills made by the players on that contract count towards the overall goal. The idea of this thread is to get people together to get those done because you need to complete a total of 15 for a trophy. However all progress is made by those in their own worlds, there is no joining up of any kind besides contract progress.

That's pretty cool. I'm getting the game on Monday :)

How is this working exactly? I joined 3 randoms yesterday and went to bed and now they just say "expired contracts have been deleted from your list" or something, so I guess they don't count as completed?

Do you have to actually be playing while the contract is completed for it to count? Or when the timer is over?

we have 3 people in our group already, im looking for 3 more to max out so we can do a private group of 6

every day we have gone public and and had 6 people for every contract, my kids and I play the game for roughly 6 - 8 hours but we are still struggling to complete the contracts. these would be easy if all 6 people put in a little bit of effort each.

the problem is i expect that people are joining our group and then turn the game off and expect us to complete the contract for them just like a post from DaEastside a couple above this one.

Already did it, so no longer accepting requests (not that I received any, the game is pretty dead)

As a word of advice, try only farmeable or easy contracts. Most random players will only try to leech the few active ones, so unless you are really lucky, don't count on anyone in your group of randoms to help you out.

This is a nice way to put it. I'm regretting NOT getting into this "coop feature" and NOT reading this COOP thread, as soon as my characters were capable of doing them...

Basically this is NOT the same coop from previous SR iterations (as what has already been stated). But having been a victim of the "coop bug" on Gat Out Of Hell with completely owned neighbourhoods getting messed up once (tied to a trophy), I avoided this "coop" trophy and saved it for last. This would turn out in the end to be the biggest mistake as it will add at least a weeks worth of gaming to the grind. It's not really the same coop where you play with another player, also prone to griefing if played with a random. We only share the same LIST with other players online. So definitely no possible glitch like the old days here... as stated here:

However all progress is made by those in their own worlds, there is no joining up of any kind besides contract progress.

UNLESS the reason why this trophy doesn't pop on the dot for some is because of playing it coop rather than SOLO? Possibly...

I'm interested to know this as I'm doing them at the moment. So when you left the game, were all the objectives completed? Or is this a bug from a pre-patched game because as soon as I completed mine it gets taken off the list as completed. Sadly even after the patch, there is NO WAY to monitor how many have we already completed. Missed opportunity here Deep Silver.

Do you have to actually be playing while the contract is completed for it to count? Or when the timer is over?

Leaving the list partially completed based on my experience risk having the whole thing flushed down the drain as there are a lot of SQUATTERS who join up in the hope that you'll do all the hard work for them. Last night there were about 6-7 "active players" and I joined in when there was about 1/4 progress done - thinking all these players were working towards the goal. As it turns out, probably 1-2 players chipped-in and no progress was made until I finished it myself. I was feeling dejected upon learning this at first, then I thought any progress made by others is still good progress... better than doing this SOLO in my opinion.

Of course playing it with buddies who are serious in finishing the objective is the best route to get this out of the way rather than being done SOLO.

... This is a silly little mechanic for a single player only game.

I thought of this one at first as well... but later on realising that a few kills added to what you have started is better than nothing at all. Some of the objectives do need coop help as the requirements to complete them are a big grind.
