WALKTHROUGH

It is possible to unlock all trophies in as little as 5 playthroughs, however this will require that you not only start playing on the hardest difficulty immediately but also complete playthroughs while handicapped and that is one very steep learning curve. I recommend that players start small, build up your experience and knowledge of the game, and also know that every complete playthrough unlocks more useful Agents and Starting Programs for your next playthrough.

Also know that setting rewinds to 99 will not void any difficulty trophy except for Never Look Back. With rewinds set to 99, you can make mistakes, explore the map, then rewind to earlier turns with that knowledge in mind and proceed to beat each mission easily.

The PS4 Console Edition comes with Contingency Plan DLC already included and installed, which was originally a DLC for the PC version. You are free to enable/disable the DLC content from the difficulty selection menu when starting a new playthrough which contains additional agents, programs, items and enemies. All the difficulty trophies are stackable, and some are specific to the DLC content so I would recommend playing the game with the DLC content enabled.

Step 1: Beat the game on Experienced difficulty, with Contingency Plan DLC enabled, to unlock Derek

Start by completing the Tutorial to get a hang of the basics. Set rewinds to 99, then beat the game while doing as many missions as possible. You are somewhat free to experiment here, so try your hand at the many different items, rescue agents from Detention Centers and have a taste of their individual abilities to understand the game better. At the end of this step you'll unlock Derek, one of the most versatile agents that'll be crucial for your subsequent playthroughs.

Step 2: Beat the game on Expert difficulty, with Contingency Plan DLC enabled

Start the game on Expert with 99 rewinds and beat it. Learn to play stealthily and avoid KO-ing guards. This will be practice for tackling Expert Plus. Refer to "surprised" face for gameplay tips.

Step 3: Beat the game on Expert Plus difficulty, with Extended Campaign DLC enabled

Start the game on Expert Plus with 99 rewinds and beat it. Refer to "surprised" face for gameplay tips.

Step 4: Play the game on Endless and survive up to Day 21, with Contingency Plan DLC enabled

Start up the game on Endless, set rewinds to 99, survive up till Day 21. Refer to Empire Builder for gameplay tips.

Trophies Earned in this step:

Rebuilding the Firm

Empire Builder

Step 5: Play the game on Endless Plus and survive up to Day 6, with Contingency Plan DLC enabled

Start up the game on Endless Plus, set rewinds to 99, survive up till Day 6. Refer to Empire Builder for gameplay tips.

Trophies Earned in this step:

Smooth Operator

Step 6: Beat the game on Expert difficulty with 0 rewinds

Start the game on Expert with 0 rewinds (aka Ironman mode). This is the hardest step in the entire game. You have 0 rewinds so you can't go back if you make any mistakes. It's up to you if you want to enable DLC. Personally I think having Derek alone is worth all the more trouble because of his teleporter. Refer to Never Look Back and "surprised" face for gameplay tips.

Trophies Earned in this step:

Never Look Back

Step 7: Beat the game on Time Attack difficulty

Start the game on Time Attack with 99 rewinds. This mode basically just sets a time limit for input of actions each turn to 2 minutes and is based on Experienced difficulty. Again, refer to "surprised" face for gameplay tips.

Trophies Earned in this step:

Time Attack

Step 8: Beat the game with Faust and Brimstone as starting Programs, with custom settings set to the lowest/easier options

Finally, one of the easiest steps. Start a custom game, with 99 rewinds and change the rest of the settings to as easy as you like. Choose Faust and Brimstone as your starting programs and proceed to beat the game, with/without the Contingency Plan DLC content.

Trophy Guide:

All Trophies Collected

Congratulations Operator.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/89d.jpg Ghost Moves (B)

Beat a level without ever being spotted by a guard or camera on Beginner or Expert difficulty.

Start a game on Beginner or Expert difficulty. You must not change any of the settings other than the number of rewinds or you'll be put in Custom difficulty and void the trophy. Complete a level without ever being spotted. Take your time progressing through the level and make good use of the 'observe' actions prior to opening doors to identify danger zones, guard patrols and camera line of sights and you'll be able to achieve this easily.

Tip: When peeking through doors, I prefer to use the observe action in the action menu (press :square: and highlight the observe icon) as opposed to the picking the individual observe action that is shown overlaying the doors. If your agent is positioned against a wall adjacent to two doors, doing this will peek into both doors at once, saving 1AP as opposed to having to observe both doors individually.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/aeb.jpg Meat Machine (B)

Install 4 augments on an agent.

Agents start with 2 augment slots with 1 augment slot already having their unique augment pre-installed. You'll need to infiltrate locations with Cybernetics Lab and locate the Augment Grafter machine. The Augment Grafter can either increase the number of augment slots to a maximum of 4 (6 for Agent Sharp), or install an Augment.

Each Cybernetic Lab will have at least 2 Augment Grafter machines, and can potentially have another 2 more if the map generated has a Vault Room, which will always be located next to the Lab where you find the first two grafters and is only accessible via a Vault Key. The Vault Key can be obtained by purchasing from Monst3r on the World Map or by successfully extracting the Vault Key from Chief Financial Suite missions. As such, you'll need to infiltrate at least two Cybernetics Lab, upgrade a single agent to 4 Augment slots and then install 3 Augments on them.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/622.jpg Contact Re-established (B)

Survive for 24 Hours.

This trophy will come automatically on your way to completing any of the difficulties on default settings.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/671.jpg Daemon Code (B)

Beat the game with Faust and Brimstone.

Faust and Brimstone are starting Programs that are unlocked only after you've accumulated sufficient EXP (see trophy Fully Equipped). You will need to enable DLC in the gameplay settings in order to enable these programs for selection as starting Programs. All you need to is the beat the game on any difficulty, so I suggest you tweak the gameplay settings to the lowest/easiest (Custom Difficulty) and proceed to speedrun through the game.

Faust: Gain 2 PWR per turn. 20% chance of installing a Daemon

Brimstone: Breaks 1 firewall. PASSIVE: +10% chance of DAEMON REVERSAL

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/695.jpg Time Attack (B)

Beat the game in Time Attack mode.

Start a new game and select Time Attack mode from the list of difficulties. In this mode, the difficulty is equivalent to Experienced but you only have 2 minutes to complete your actions for each turn. Remember to set rewinds to 99 and follow the advice outlined in "surprised" Face and you'll be able to beat the game easily.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/6cd.jpg Training Wheels (B)

Beat the game on Beginner difficulty.

This should be done on your first playthrough and will serve as practice to understand the game mechanics for the higher difficulties. See "surprised" Face for tips.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/fa6.jpg Nearing Confidence Threshold (B)

Survive for 48 Hours.

This trophy will come automatically on your way to completing any of the difficulties on default settings.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/d59.jpg Target Resolved (B)

Survive for 72 Hours.

This trophy will come automatically on your way to completing any of the difficulties on default settings.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/b79.jpg Ant Society (S)

Beat the game on Experienced difficulty.

See "surprised" Face for gameplay tips. All difficulty related trophies are stackable.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/19a.jpg Fully Equipped (S)

Unlock every agent, agent alternate, and starting mainframe program.

Each time you complete a playthrough either by completing the entire story or ending a Story or Endless playthrough prematurely by retiring your agency, you gain EXP corresponding to the number of missions and their difficulties at the ending summary screen. EXP is used to unlock more agents, agent alternate and starting programs. You can't choose what unlocks. Everything is already pre-determined.

In addition to that, there are unlockables that will only be made available after completing the game on Beginner, Experienced and Expert difficulties. So in order to unlock everything, you'll have to complete the game at least once on Expert difficulty (which should unlock everything on lower difficulties if you haven't already). You'll have amassed sufficient EXP unlock everything after completing at least 2-3 playthroughs and Expert difficulty.

Steal from every safe in a level.

Chances are you'll unlocked this automatically. Safes are your primary source of cash in Invisible Inc, and cash is necessary to equip your agents with the best gear and upgrades. You'll need to hack safes from the mainframe (press :triangle:) with your programs, or use an EMP item to disable the lock then position your agent next to the safe and select the "Steal Contents" action. Do this for every safe in a single level.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/0d8.jpg The Limit (S)

Beat a level after reaching Alarm level 6 in the level on Expert difficulty.

On any Expert or Expert Plus playthrough, escape the level only after the Alarm has reached Level 6 and voila trophy unlocked. Beware that at Alarm Level 4 the security system will pinpoint the location of one of your agents, and at Level 5 it will pinpoint the location of two agents and guards will come to investigate.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/e68.jpg Never Look Back (G)

Beat the game with rewinds set to 0 on Expert difficulty.

With rewinds set to 0, every action you make is permanent and you won't be able to roll back. The only way you can rollback is to pick "save and exit" from the in game menu, then backup your save file onto USB or PS+. Another thing to note is that while maps are randomly generated. All maps on the mission selection screen are changed each time you complete a mission, but do not change if you reload a save at this screen. If you were to make a manual backup at the World Map screen, picked a mission and decided you wanted to rollback to the World Map screen, picking the same mission will result in the exactly the same map layout again (let's say New York). However if you completed a mission in a different location (eg: London) and picked New York next, the map is now different than had you picked New York first, as consistent with the rules outlined above.

Follow the gameplay tips in "surprised" Face and play with extreme caution.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/2d3.jpg "surprised" Face (G)

Beat the Contingency Plan extended Campaign on Expert Plus difficulty

Expert Plus is the highest difficulty in Invisible Inc, and it sets itself apart in many different ways from lower difficulties.

Expert (and lower difficulties)

Number of Guards: Normal

Danger Zones: Shown on the map even if the source of the danger (eg: guards/camera) are not within agents line of sight

Knocking out Guards: No increase to security level

Starting Power: 10

Expert Plus

Number of Guards: More

Danger Zones: Not shown unless the source of danger is within sight

Knocking out Guards: KOs will increase security level by 1

Starting Power: 5

Remember to enable the extended Contingency Plan DLC in the difficulty selection menu, otherwise you'll be playing the story without the DLC extended Campaign and will not qualify for the extended Campaign trophies. Note: The Contingency Plan DLC is already included in the PS4 edition at the point of purchase (it was DLC for PC version).

I will breakdown the things you need to prepare as you approach the final mission, but for a more comprehensive breakdown I highly recommend digesting Bootrossbear's excellent thread: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/invisible-inc-/302437-tips-tricks-general-advice.html

  1. You can set rewinds to 99, changing this will not void any trophy, however changing any other setting will modify the difficulty to Custom and will void the difficulty trophy.
  2. Without Contingency Plan DLC enabled, the game lasts for 72 hours (3 days) whereby the final mission appears after time is up. With DLC enabled, the game lasts for 7 days, with a mandatory intermediate mission appearing on Day 4, and the final mission appearing on Day 7. All difficulty trophies are stackable so there is really no reason to play without DLC.
  3. As time passes, missions get progressively harder with the introduction of higher ranked enemies and countermeasures.
  4. With DLC enabled, there are much more different types of enemies, items, programs, Daemons (traps), and more importantly, after Day 4 each Alarm level is now different than before, and in my opinion makes the game easier than the first 72 hours.
  5. Items: Having a Cloaking Rig III + Stim III or Stim IV is crucial for survival. It allows you to be invisible for two turns and cover a huge portion of the map, good for covering ground without alerting enemies especially when you can't get to them. So you can scout the map and then rewind to where you begun with the knowledge of the layout. Having Augments like Subdermal Cloak, Chameleon Movement boost your AP/Movement even further.
  6. Starting Agents: Internationale and Derek (DLC)/Banks (no DLC enabled). See Bootrossbear's thread for elaboration. Upgrade Anarchy first and steal credits from guards whenever you can.
  7. Starting Programs: For Campaign - use Fusion and Parasite v1.0. For Endless - use Seed and Parasite V1.0/Lockpick v1.0, and aim to get Parasite v2.0 as soon as possible.
  8. Power Generation: Especially on the Plus difficulties, consider investing in a Portable Server III item, and Distributed Processing augments, which are crucial during Endless runs when firewalls get higher and higher.
  9. From the start, avoid knocking out or worse, killing enemies at all costs, unless you have no other option left. Knocked out enemies will constantly search the map when they wake up,
thus complicating matters. This is where the Cloaking Rigs come in. The Ping program can also shine here.
  10. Weapons: Avoid lethal weapons, but try and get at least 2 armor penetration on 1 if not 2 of your agents purely for the final campaign mission. A Shock Trap III will come in handy when you're about to be cornered because it bypasses armor while knocking out enemies. For Endless, enemy armor quickly rises above 6+ and thus weapons will become useless in due time, so only keep the Shock Traps.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3558/715.jpg Empire builder (G)

Survive 20 days in Endless mode with the Contingency Plan content

Endless mode is where you will repeatedly complete missions and try to survive for as long as you can. There is no ending and your objective is to survive until Day 21. The difficulty on Endless mode is identical to Expert, whereas Endless Plus is similar to Expert Plus.

I highly recommend that the Contingency Plan DLC and all relevant DLC settings be enabled. Much of what is written here is just the outline of Bootrossbear's excellent thread: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/invisible-inc-/302437-tips-tricks-general-advice.html

  1. Set rewinds to 99, changing this will not void any trophy, however changing any other setting will modify the difficulty to Custom and will void the difficulty trophy.
  2. As time passes, missions get progressively harder with the introduction of higher ranked enemies and countermeasures.
  3. With Contingency Plan DLC enabled, on Day 4 you'll have to complete the same intermediate mission (similar to the one in the story campaign). In every mission from hereon, you will need to retrieve the Power Relay in order to escape
  4. Starting day 8, you'll need to sift through the safes on each level in order to locate the Exit Passcard. The exit teleporter room will now be locked and can only be opened by using the Exit Passcard.
  5. Start off by travelling to nearer destinations, try to do as many missions as possible early own, gather as much credits as possible to upgrade your agents, or purchase items at the nanofabs/server terminals
  6. Starting Agents: Internationale and Derek (DLC). Upgrade Anarchy first and steal credits from guards whenever you can. Learn how to use Derek effectively, and when combined with Internationale you'll have a good team combination. Do Detention Center missions to retrieve two more allies, if you're lucky and if you get Prism/Dr Xu/Banks then you have even better utility across the board. The other agents are less useful but they can still contribute by looking for and securing the exit teleporter while your two main agents roam the map for the mission objectives.
  7. Starting Programs: For Endless - use Seed and Parasite V1.0/Lockpick v1.0, and aim to get Parasite v2.0 as soon as possible.
  8. Power Generation: Especially on the Plus difficulties, consider investing in a Portable Server III item, and Distributed Processing augments, which are crucial during Endless runs as firewalls get higher and higher each day.
  10. Weapons: Avoid lethal weapons. In the beginning up to Day 4 you could do with a couple of melee disrupters but soon after Day 8 in Endless modes you should start disposing them as its no longer viable to KO enemies. A Shock Trap III will come in handy when you're about to be cornered because it bypasses armor while knocking out enemies.
  11. Corporation/Factions: K&O are the easiest, followed by FTM, Plastech and finally Sankaku.
    • K&O - You just need to beware of turrets and Spec Ops with 180/360 degree linesight, where Cloaking Rigs will come in handy.
    • FTM - Contain scanning devices and security routers which will reveal the location of an agent every alarm level, and increase firewalls on objects each turn so disable those first.
    • Plastech has enemy guards that will takeover objects that you have previously hacked, but can easily be bypasses by taking the guard out or re-hack it.
    • Sankaku missions are fully of droids which are a pain in the rear and only a few can be disabled by EMP, its best to avoid these where possible

[*]Know when you can/cannot run. Running will create noise that alerts guards up to 5 tiles away. You can use this to distract guards to come investigate, and make a speedy getaway
