Welcome to my Trophy Guide for the game adaptation of James Cameron's blockbuster movie 'Avatar'. The game itself is a third person shooter played out on Pandora from the perspective of either the RDI or Na'vi, a choice made by you at the end of the first level on Blue Lagoon. There was a multiplayer component too but as mentioned the server was taken offline so the Platinum is unobtainable but there's still plenty of game left in the Campaign mode to get a good return out of it.

What trophies there are left to earn are mostly story related and earned for playing the game to completion for both factions, thus requiring at least 2 playthroughs. Now you have the 'Clean Sweep' trophies which are awarded for completing all sector challenges within each sector, again there are different sets for each faction to complete. Completion of all sector challenges for both factions will unlock Clean Sweep of Pandora, for which there is a supplemental guide I have written which details each challenge and how best to achieve it. You can find that guide referenced in the trophy description and also here: LINK

A couple of things to mention are that the trophy list itself is a bit jumbled, the Na'vi path is out of sequence and the fourth mission is last in the 'path' of trophies for each area just in case you think the guide is messed up. Also, the trophy for the Plains of Goliath can be earned by any faction despite the description itself saying 'both RDA and Na'vi'.

There are also a couple of misc trophies for a mini-game and using weapons and skills but unless the servers are reactivated, that's all there is as far as trophies are concerned. There's no MP step because of the aforementioned server closure.

http://i.imgur.com/BnudHWZ.png

Step 1 – Campaign for Faction 1 + Clean Sweeps

As stated in the Intro, you can select what faction you wish to play the game with after the first mission. There's no consequence to who you go for as you will need to play the Campaign again for the other side for the trophies associated to their faction. The game itself has no difficulty settings and things are fairly standard in the way of mission variation. The one thing to really focus on is to try and secure a Clean Sweep before you end the level, that is to complete every sector challenge for that specific area. Don't panic if you come up short though, as you are able to access previous sectors later on in the game if you need to come back and do a sweep up.

Step 2 – Campaign for Faction 2 + Clean Sweeps

Same process as Step 1 except obviously for the faction you opted not to be on the first run. Once more, invest in completing all sector challenges before moving on just to save having to come back and do them later.

Step 3 – Clean Up

If you've managed to earn each 'Clean Sweep of...' trophies as you went along, then you will have unlocked Clean Sweep of Pandora by now. If not then refer to the supplemental guide to work on any of those you may have missed before coming back to the only remaining trophies which are the weapon/skill related ones and the trophy for taking over 50% of the territories in the 'Campaign' mini-game. If you have been diligent enough then it's possible you won't actually need this step as you can easily work on the misc trophies as you go but this is where to work on any you may not have popped.

If the servers are ever turned back on then I will amend this guide to add Step 4 for multiplayer. You will still find a trophy description for each trophy in case such a thing happens but at this point you will have earned all possible trophies there are to earn.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/05.jpg Clean Sweep of Pandora (G)

Complete every Sector Challenge in the game.

This is the hardest/most time consuming trophy in the game and to unlock it you need to complete every single sector challenge in the game, for both the RDA and the Na'vi factions. Every single sector has its own related bronze trophy so see each of those descriptions for individual requirements but the best bet is to refer to the supplemental Clean Sweep of Pandora - Complete Sector Challenge Walkthrough for full descriptions and methods to achieve each and every sector challenge.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/06.jpg Turn the Tide (S)

Claim 50% of all territories.

In every sector on Pandora, you will come across GMI stations (RDA) and Trees of Vision (Na'vi) that allow you to transport around the secto, but you are also able to select 'Conquest' which will begin a small mini-game. The first time you access this feature you will be given a tutorial on the basics so read that to get an understanding of things. Basically, the globe is over run with enemy territory and you must move your attack force to each continent. A battle will ensue and you will either win and take over that territory, lose and have to build up another force and try again or go for a different territory. The odds of winning depend on the size of your attack force. That's the long and short of it so here's the game plan:

Firstly, wait until your currency is about 40k as you won't need any more. Currency is awarded through completing Single Player missions so just wait it out until you have the credits, I did this with 60k at a GMI in Hanging Gardens with RDA and had 24k to spare. Once you have the amount, just spend the whole lot on soldier units. Scorpions and AMPs are a waste of money so just buy only soldiers (the same goes for the equivalent Na'vi Viperwolves and Banshees), you can only buy 5000 at a time so just keep spending until your credits are gone. Now, simply engulf the planet continent by continent. Your attack force is enormous compared to even the most heavily fortified sector, just keep on moving them all over in one huge motion. Occasionally you will lose a sector when the enemy makes on of their rare forays into your territory and the will claim it too considering you spent nothing on defences but the rate you take over territories far exceeds the rate you lose them.

The only word of caution is to just make sure the enemy numbers on a continent aren't out of proportion (indicated by the box on the bottom right when you hover over the territory before choosing to advance on it), the average is about 500-1,500 but one I came across had 30,000+ so I just went around it. If you happen to somehow make a hash of things then hit the :ps: button and quit out but don't exit the mini-game or it will auto-save and you will then need to work up the credits again to start over.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/07.jpg Digital Bookworm (S)

Unlock 20 Pandorapedia articles.

This trophy comes easily and compared to the vast amount of articles available to observe in the game, 20 is a tiny amount of work to put in. Articles themselves are packets of information on objects in the world of Pandora, from military hardware and technology to plants and wildlife. Though it is not story related, it's impossible to complete the game without meeting this criteria as each time you rank up or board a new vehicle, a new log will be added to your files to read and mark one off the tally. You can also unlock numerous files in the environment on all sectors by holding down :r2: and scanning the canopy for different fauna entries.

As soon as your Pandorapedia log has charted at least 20 new entries the trophy will unlock. On a side note: When you complete the game with both RDA and Na'vi, it unlocks every single entry in the Pandorapedia so it's a guaranteed trophy if you complete both story paths.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/07.jpg Weapon of Choice (S)

Kill 100 enemies using the dual wasps or the bow.

This trophy can be unlocked at any point in the game but is ideal to be worked on straight away. As the description states, the aim is to kill 100 enemies with the most basic weapon in your arsenal i.e the dual wasps (RDA) or the bow (Na'vi). Each of these weapons are available immediately by pressing  when you are in control of your character.

The first opportunity to use weaponry is in the first hostile area of the game which is Blue Lagoon, and one of the Sector Challenges on Blue Lagoon is to kill 110 Viperwolves which are the common panther type enemies in this area. It makes sense saying as you need to kill at least 110 enemies here anyway to combine these two factors and exclusively use your dual wasps to slay every vVperwolf you come across until you unlock the trophy and at the same time almost complete the Sector Challenge as an added bonus. You will also very likely reach 26,300 XP as well, which brings with it an upgraded Dual Wasps Pistol with double the ammo capacity and does more damage so do a couple of Campaign Missions for big XP to speed things up a bit.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/07.jpg Jack of All Skills (S)

Use every Rank 4 skill 20 times.

Your skills are the unique actions you can enable by holding down :l2: and pressing the corresponding button as shown in the action wheel in the top right of the screen. There are 7 skills to be unlocked and each of them are ranked based on experience points with Rank 4 being the highest tier. To view each skill and find out what they do as well as select which 4 you can have active at a time, press :start: and scroll along to 'Skills'. In game, use of these skills offer the perks as described in their respective descriptions but they all have a cool-down period before they can be used again. Due to this I advise to start working on them the minute you unlock them and constantly activate them as you travel between waypoints/lifting fog and whatever else, this will save you time farming them. Once you unlock the last Rank 4 skill, use it 20 times over repeatedly for the trophy. If the cooldown is taking too long, then you can quit out as soon as the skill has been activated and reload your save.

Note that you only need to do this for one faction, you don't need to have done it for both during your separate playthroughs.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/33.jpg A God is Upon Us (S)

Get 10 kills in a row without dying.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

As outlined in the Road Map, boosting was the only realistic method of obtaining online trophies so the premise of this trophy was to set up a Private Match with a friend and have them let you kill them 10 times in a row. It is also logical to let the timer run down by keeping both players active to unlock The Enemy's Bane at the same time.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/33.jpg Bring On All Comers! (S)

Complete 150 Multiplayer games.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

This trophy was unlocked by participating in 150 online matches, a process which added on a good 30 hours of gameplay to the equation if done legit but there was an excellent method found to make the time go over way faster and without having to sit through game after game. The way to do it was to host an online match, then simply quit out. It would credit one to your tally and you could repeat this cycle x150 for the trophy - credit to xLukk for the tip: LINK

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/35.jpg The Enemy's Bane (S)

Finish a Team Deathmatch with the most kills of either team.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

As described. Winning an online match legit was nigh on impossible due to hackers so the only reliable way to earn this was to boost it, see the A God is Upon Us trophy description for more info.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/36.jpg Flawless Victory (S)

Win 3-0 in 'Capture the Flag'.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

Again this trophy was only really obtainable with a boosting partner though it wasn't able to be unlocked in private matches. The way to unlock this was to arrange a public match with your boosting partner until you both got into a match, then have your partner allow you to capture the flag and return it to your base 3 times to win the match and pop the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/37.jpg Destructive Preservation (S)

As an RDA grunt, reach the end of the timer with 3 intact missiles.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

This trophy was also unable to be boosted in a private match so the aim was to pair up in a Public match and simply let the timer run out, the only onus was to move now and again to not be kicked out of the game for being idle. All you had to do was keep your missiles intact until the round was over. The same applies also to Pandora's Protector as you were randomly assigned to the RDA or Na'vi when starting a match.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/38.jpg Pandora's Protector (S)

As a Na'vi warrior, reach the end of the timer with 3 intact crystals.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

This was awarded for completing a match with 3 intact crystals. See Destructive Preservation for more info.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/39.jpg The Conqueror (S)

Win 5 'Capture and Hold' matches.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

For these matches you were required to win 5 matches of 'Capture and Hold'. The best method was to organise a boost with a partner and have them allow you to capture all territories until the timer ran out. Repeat the process another 4 times and the trophy was yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/40.jpg Central Focus (S)

Win 5 'King of the Hill' matches.

**Unobtainable due to online server closure**

This trophy required you to win 5 King of the Hill matches. The exact same process should be followed from that of The Conqueror trophy description, as in have a boosting partner allow to to capture all territories until the timer ran out.

There is a mission given to you once you blow the rocks in The Drop and stop the onslaught of Viperwolves. There will be 2 waypoints set to the West indicating the two objectives, head to each and eliminate the avatars of Langley and Epstein. A short cinematic will play showing the human forms of each of your targets emerge from the chamber they were housed in, kill these also to complete each objective. Once they are both gone, return to The Drop and speak to Winslow to pop the trophy.

This follows soon after you eliminate Langley and Epstein for the Two-Traitor Clean-Up! trophy and is a mission given by Winslow. Once again you need to kill the avatar of Harper before you can actually get at him in his human form but the same applies, use your boost skills properly and you will take him down without too many problems.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/02.jpg Ryder owns Goliath (B)(H)

Complete the Plains of Goliath.

Story related and can not be missed (RDA path).

The Plains of Goliath is the final sector of the campaign and although it seems quite a small map, there's a stack of things to do. Complete the main mission objectives as always before you are given a Dragon to pilot in order to chase your rebel Commander to the Well of Souls. Hold off the Na'vi until reinforcements arrive before making the final push to confront your final enemy. For the final battle, the enemies health will regenerate many times over, this is normal although it seems like it will go on forever. Just continue to assault him until he dies and the trophy will pop.

Survive the RDA attack in Iknimaya.

Story related and can not be missed (Na'vi path).

This is the first mission after you defect to Na'vi. During this mission you will learn to fly on a Banshee which is by far the best way to get around each sector but take your time to adjust to the different style of play as it is a very different ball game to being a human soldier. You will end the level when you must take down a Dragon airship attacking the village, you must do so 3 times by jumping on its roof from above and hitting :triangle: when prompted. On the third strike the mission will end and your trophy will come soon after.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/299/02.jpg The First Song (B)(H)

Secure the song in the Swotulu.

After carrying out a few story related sabotage missions to prove your loyalty to the Na'vi you will unlock a secret path that was inaccessible before. Here you meet with an elder who asks you to find 3 shards to obtain a harmonic, they are all in the local area and marked on your map so fight off the small resistance around them and take them back to watch the cinematic unfold. Afterwards you will need to return to the Tree of Life and speak to the elder there to perform a song, upon doing so the trophy will unlock.

Running battles are what most of this level is about but again the purpose of it is to collect the 3 shards and obtain the harmonic from the willow tree. By comparison to what you've done so far, it's quite a short level with very little backtracking so once you have the shards and obtain the song; return to Hometree and play the song to obtain the trophy.

The harmonic from the Willow Tree is once again the purpose of this level. Of course you can expect the usual amount of missions to fight off RDA attacks and run errands for villages but nothing out of the ordinary. The RDA are quite spread out and you generally know when to expect them by the charred remains of whatever road it is you are about to go down. Secure the 3 shards and obtain the song, before returning to Hometree to unlock the trophy.

A linear and thankfully quick level, there's still plenty to do but nothing to compare to the usual amount the Na'vi expect of you. RDA presence here is reasonably light for how far into the game it is and encounters with controlled captive wildlife is the main issue here but nothing by now you can't handle. Once you obtain the song and finally silence Benda'amo, you can return to Hometree and play the song for the trophy to pop.

Finish the game on the Na'vi side.

Story related and can not be missed (Na'vi path).

This takes place in the Plains of Goliath or at least the majority of it. There's no songs to collect any more as the focus now is a full assault on the RDA. Take out the targets in the south before flying north on your Banshee to take out the last target. Once complete, you will take off again on another beast to a separate area where you have to kill 18 RDA soldiers in 3 minutes (which is a piece of cake and easily achievable in 2 mins). Once done, you will obtain the final beast to take a ride to the dormant Well of Souls. Now approach the last waypoint to trigger a cutscene, which ends the game and the trophy will unlock. Once this is complete you can return to any area and complete any sector challenges you may not have done if you want to go for Clean Sweep of Pandora.

This is the trophy for completing the game on the RDA path. You do not have to have completed all or any sector challenges for this trophy and will unlock once you have downed your final foe in front of the dormant Well of Souls. Once you have unlocked this trophy, you should ensure you have completed all RDA sector challenges and go back to any sector to finish up any you didn't do the first time around to unlock Clean Sweep of Pandora.
