Welcome to Zero Time Dilemma, the third and final game in the critically acclaimed Zero Escape trilogy, following 999 and Virtue's Last Reward and set in between the two games, following both established and new characters.

The game is very story heavy, with the gameplay coming in room escape puzzles like the previous games, though called quests this time around. The story is also determined by your choices, but it is not played in a chronological order, but separated into fragments that you can choose at will. The game is also set up so you do not need multiple saves, you can do each option for decisions on the same save, and you can freely move between the branches you have followed.

A note on how the guide has been laid out, as it is difficult to write without spoilers. Firstly, if you do not want spoilers at all, feel free to click off this guide right now. Nothing is missable, just make sure you get every file in the escape rooms. You can replay anything again at any point. In the trophy guide, I've put story spoilers into tags, but some of the trophy descriptions are spoilers and these are not tagged. If you are stuck on any puzzle that's not in the escape rooms, you can get a hint here, or get the answer in spoiler tags if you choose. If you are stuck on any of the escape rooms, you can get walkthroughs here: C, Q, D. Finally if you are just here for a quick platinum, see my complete game walkthrough here: Part 1, Part 2. I recommend you experience the game without following a guide though, as it is a great one. You can turn on a setting allowing you to skip past text if you so desire. It will take about 5 hours if you follow a guide all the way through, 25 is if you do it completely blind.

Step 1 - Complete every single fragment, getting all of the files in quests.

Simple enough really. Just keep going through all of the fragments until you have every single thing done. Since they are all considered part of the story, I will consider almost every trophy story related, except for getting all of the quest files. So that's all you really need to look out for, and even those you will probably get them all to solve the puzzles if you're doing everything blind. You'll run into times where you can't finish particular segments, meaning you'll have to do other segments first before you unlock them. See the introduction for links to the varying levels of help you can get if you're stuck. One tip I will give that doesn't fit elsewhere, is make sure all 4 circles in the top left in the flowchart are lit up. You may need to replay the decisions after the first one.

Step 2 - Clean Up

This probably won't be needed, all you may need are any remaining quest files, every other trophy comes naturally if the entire flow chart is completed. See the guide below to find which you are missing, then replay that quest from the flow/fragment menu to grab it. The quest guides I wrote mention every note. Congratulations on your platinum!

Collect all trophies.

Audentem Forsque Venusque Iuvat. Collect all other trophies to unlock this one.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/8e5.jpg Still a Rookie (B)

Complete 1 quest.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Quests are the room escapes of this game. Complete any to unlock this. The game isn't chronological, so there are multiple quests you can do first.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/110.jpg A Grain of Sand (B)

Gain 1 Cinema File.

Story related and cannot be missed.

You get cinema files when you gain new information in the cinematics of the game. You'll get one very soon into the game, before your second decision.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/43c.jpg Mountain of Knowledge (S)

Gain all Cinema Files.

Story related and cannot be missed.

As long as you clear every possible ending, including game overs, you'll get this, since you get them all automatically through the story. You get the last ones after the true ending of the game (CQD-END:2).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/d4a.jpg Crib Sheet (B)

Obtain 1 Quest File.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Quest files are notes and similar things with information laying around the room, or inside objects you have to open in quests. Unlike cinema files, you don't automatically get these and thus can be missed, especially if you follow a guide to get solutions to puzzles without picking up the notes you'd normally require to solve them, thus if you do use quest walkthroughs it's suggested you follow them to the letter rather than skipping ahead to passcodes. Some files are given to you automatically, so you'll get this naturally even if you avoid picking any files up.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/21a.jpg All-Seeing Wisdom (S)

Obtain all Quest Files.

Unlike the trophy for getting 1 quest file, this one you won't necessarily get by playing each quest, and is the only one you won't get through completing every fragment. If you are solving everything yourself, there's a good chance you'll get them all naturally anyway by looking through the room, as most of the notes are required to solve puzzles. However if you follow a guide to solve all the puzzles as quickly as possible to exit a room disregarding the things you may need, you may miss some. The room guide I have provided mentions all the files and where they are, so if you follow that one you should find them all. Below is a list of all of the rooms with files (2 have none) and the number of files found within so you can easily find where one you may be missing is:

[spoiler=wisdom]

  • Infirmary: 1
  • Pantry: 1
  • Rec Room: 4
  • Control: 4
  • Biolab: 3
  • Pod Room: 2
  • Study: 9
  • Healing Room: 1
  • Trash Disposal Room: 1
  • Manufacturing: 7
  • Locker Room: 3

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/76b.jpg Gotta Go Back in Time (B)

Go through your first bad ending.

Story Related and cannot be missed

There are lots of bad endings in the game. You are bound to go through them throughout your playthrough. Go through any of them to the point of getting a Game Over screen to unlock this.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/1a8.jpg Coming Up on 90 Minutes (B)

Watch all the cinematics in a fragment.

Story related and cannot be missed.

There are 34 fragments in the game, 12 for C team and 11 each for Q and D team. Do everything in one fragment (watch cinematics, solve quests, do each side of any decisions) to unlock this.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/31f.jpg In the Big Leagues Now (S)(H)

Complete 6 quests.

Story related and cannot be missed.

There are 13 quests in the game, which are room escapes. Complete any 6 of them for this. As mentioned before, the game is not in chronological order, so the first 6 can be nearly any combination of the quests. You can do 6 quests pretty early into the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/f77.jpg The Go-To Guy (G)(H)

Complete all quests.

Story related and cannot be missed.

Complete all 13 quests to get this trophy. You will have to complete all of them to get all of the possible scenarios and endings in the game. C and D team have 5 each, Q has 3. They are structured like room escapes, meaning you have to do things like using objects on other objects around the room, combining objects and solving puzzles, both visual puzzles and ones where you need to use the information you gather to get a password. If you are stuck on any, see the walkthroughs here:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/280.jpg Beginning of the End (B)(H)

Finish CQD-END: 1.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is a really easy ending to get, and may well be the first trophy you get in the game. For details check the spoiler below.

[spoiler=bote]In the very first decision of the game, you will have to call a coin toss between blue and red. If you get it right (it may be random, but I was always right the first time personally), you'll get this 'ending.'

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/958.jpg Fly Me to the Moon (S)(H)

Finish C-END: 1.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is an ending you will get later on in the game, as there are a few prerequisites before this unlocks. See the spoiler below for details.

[spoiler=letmeplayamongthestars]There are a few prerequisites for this. You need to have done the part where you SHIFT around a lot with C team, and opened the door of truth with D team, then have the confrontation in the transporter room. From here this ending can be selected, it's the fragment with the moon image.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/b61.jpg What is Love? Don't Hurt Me (S)(H)

Finish Q-END: 1.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is probably the quickest ending other than the first. It is in the 3rd fragment down on the right for Q Team. See the spoiler below for more details.

[spoiler=wildhm]After doing the Study quest, you will have to choose what to do at a standoff. There are 4 options, 3 of which you can realistically do early in the story: ERIC, MIRA and NO. For this ending, you have to type ERIC.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/046.jpg It Came From Within (S)(H)

Finish Q-END: 2.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is another ending that is near the end of the game, and is almost certainly the penultimate main ending you'll get.

[spoiler=ohno]After doing a lot of jumping with C team and opening the door of truth with D team, it will lead to a confrontation in the transporter room. There are two things you need to know for this. The first is the code for the helmet, which is 61404091. The second is the identity of Zero, which isn't outright stated, but you should have enough information by now to deduce who it is. The answer is DELTA.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/ac9.jpg A Rabbit in My Future (S)(H)

Finish D-END: 1.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is another ending you can get early on. This is in the fragment 3rd down on the right for D team. See the spoiler for more details.

[spoiler=arimf]After completing the manufacturing quest, you'll eventually have to make a decision whether to run away or not. Choose to run for this ending.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/349.jpg A Silver Lining (S)(H)

Finish D-END: 2.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is another ending that can't be done straight away. It's in the middle segment of D team, but you must do some other things before you can finish the segment.

[spoiler=sakja]First off, after the Transporter Room, you have to choose to Transport. The fragment will then stop for now there. By the time it opened for me I had done all of the quests, but that likely isn't necessary. It should unlock for viewing after you do a lot of jumping with C team, then you can watch this ending.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/577.jpg The Final Decision (G)(H)

Finish CQD-END: 2.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is the true ending of the game. For more details see the spoiler.

[spoiler=bjkdfkjh]This is the line where no one dies from the voting at the start nor from button pressing afterwards. You will then be given 3 different fragments where each team contributes to their part of opening the force quit box. You need VIVEHODIE for C team, 6140-4091 and 38080832 for Q team, and BROOCH and BLUE BIRD for D team. This leads to the final decision. Choose to SHIFT for the ending. It's under the very first fragment you played in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/006.jpg C-Team Subject Report (S)(H)

Clear all C-Team fragments.

Story related and cannot be missed.

See SHIFTer for more details.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/787.jpg Q-Team Subject Report (S)(H)

Clear all Q-Team fragments.

Story related and cannot be missed.

See SHIFTer for more details.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/092.jpg D-Team Subject Report (S)(H)

Clear all D-Team fragments.

Story related and cannot be missed.

See SHIFTer for more details.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/c8f.jpg SHIFTer (G)(H)

Clear all fragments.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This and the above 3 trophies are simple enough. There are 12 fragments for C and 11 each for the other 2. This is practically for doing everything in the game, going down every possible branch and seeing every ending, good or bad. If you did everything before experiencing the ending, you should get this at the same time as the above 3 trophies, as the first and last fragments you unlock are all shared between the teams.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/ad0.jpg Down the Hatch (B)(H)

Drink the real antidote.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is contained in the 3rd C Team fragment down on the left. After doing the infirmary quest, you will have to choose one out of 8 options. Akane thankfully lays the groundwork for picking which option is correct, but you'll have to answer it. Each member of the team will lick 4 samples each, some of them being licked more than once. You can work out which is correct by who is affected by the sample, if it's Akane and Junpei then see which sample they both licked and so on. It changes each time. Below is a table detailing the possibilities and what answer they lead to, green=affected, red=not:

http://i.imgur.com/VJcw77r.png

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/897.jpg Geronimo (B)(H)

Protect Akane and obtain the X-Passes.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens a bit after you go through all three decision options in the 2nd fragment on the left for C Team. See below for more info.

[spoiler=daafsfa]To get the 3rd option, first you have to choose to Ally, then replay and choose Betray, then replay for the third time. This results in you starting to use SHIFT to jump around a lot. You'll eventually end up in the history where you failed to roll three 1s in the Rec Room, and an alternate series of events will go down. You'll get this soon after.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/7aa.jpg Blessed by Lady Luck (B)(H)

All the dice roll 1s.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens in the 3rd fragment down on the right for C team. After the Rec Room, you'll have to roll three 1s to open the door. Thankfully, you don't have to go through 1/216 odds, as in your 3rd attempt you get the three 1s.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/3df.jpg Tell Them What They Won (B)(H)

Correctly answer the Monty Hall Problem.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens in the 3rd fragment down on the left for C team. After the Control Room, you will be forced to guess one out of 10 lockers. After picking one, the game will open 8 of the remaining 9 lockers, giving you the option of sticking or switching the locker you chose. Even though it seems like it would be a 50/50 chance, the odds are actually 90/10 in favor of switching. So switch, and 9 times out of 10 you will correctly guess it. In my 4 times doing it I actually did pick right initially once, so it is possible to get it wrong. If so, just try again.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/e61.jpg Wrinkle in Time (G)(H)

Shoot that person.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This takes place after the Study room for Team Q (fragment third down on the right). There are four possible outcomes for the decision this is tied to, 3 are pretty obvious from the start, the one required for this trophy is pretty much impossible to know until you've completed D-END:2, C-END:1 and Q-END:2. See the spoiler for more details, as well as the answer.

[spoiler=asjkasfj]This takes place in the the Three Way Standoff. The first three options are 'ERIC', 'MIRA' AND 'NO'. The fourth, as mentioned, is impossible to know without advancing further in the game. The answer is DELTA.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/44c.jpg Virtual Reality (B)(H)

Live a happy virtual life.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens in the second fragment down on the left for Team Q. See the spoiler below for more details.

[spoiler=fdakjfldkj]For the decision in this fragment, you have to choose to push the button. After a cinematic, this unlocks two different possibilities for you to watch. The right branch is a bad end, the left one is a happy one. That's the one you need for this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/d24.jpg What Are Ya, Chicken? (B)(H)

Resist temptation to press the button.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens after the healing room, you'll be presented with a button with a warning to not press it. Do what it says and don't push it (wait out the timer) for this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/219.jpg Calculated Risk (B)(H)

Shoot a blank, everyone lives.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens after the Trash Disposal Room, the second fragment down on the left for D Team. See the spoiler for more details.

[spoiler=asdjlkas]You have two options here, despite the decision branching into 3. Shoot and risk Sigma, or don't shoot and sacrifice Phi. If you shoot, it's random whether it's a blank or not. If it is, you get this trophy, if not then try again. 3 seems to be the magic number of attempts before you get the other scenario.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/281.jpg Unforgettable (B)(H)

Answer with the correct date.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This happens after the Locker Room, the second fragment down on the right for D Team. After you'll find a door that needs a code. The code is in D-END:2. If you're stuck, see below.

[spoiler=fdkjaldf]The code is the twins day of birth in the aforementioned ending. It's 11192029.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/1d0.jpg Schrödinger's Cat (B)(H)

Successfully remove the helmet.

Story related and cannot be missed.

There are two different times when you do this. You get the code in the 'Happy End.'

[spoiler=ajklsdlka]The code is 6140-4091.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/427.jpg Virtue's True Reward (B)(H)

No one presses the button, everyone lives.

Story related and cannot be missed.

As previously mentioned, each team have a fragment where they can press a button or not. This unlocks after you have done the 'Do Not Press' route for all three teams.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/4605/3c4.jpg Bigger on the Inside (S)(H)

Successfully activate the Force Quit Box.

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is the key to getting the true ending of the game. If you haven't done everything else other than the far left branch in the flow chart, go and do it now. You need 3 pieces of information to activate the box, each team will input each piece of information.

[spoiler=ragequit]

  1. The Latin Phrase that is dropped in C-END:1 - VIVEHODIE;
  2. The code for the box given in Q-END:2 - 38080832. You also need the helmet code - 61404091;
  3. The two 'mothers mementos' that Diana places with the babies in D-END:2 - the BROOCH and the BLUE BIRD.

Pantry

We will be using the wall with the microwave-type machine and the keypad as the front wall. On the left wall there are shelves with boxes. Underneath the left shelf, open the drawer and pick up the iodine. On the back wall, look at the poster, and open the left side drawer on the shelf with the lone box on it. Pick up the gelatine powder, then open the box. Take the knob and use the iodine with the 6 potato slices. This reveals the following letters: DUDLLR. This is the combination to both sides of the cabinet on the right side; the letters refer to directions. The left side of the cabinet requires the code as it is, and the right side requires you to reverse it (RLLDUD). On the left side, take the blue doll, then click the screen above to solve an easy rotating puzzle that gives you the mold. On the right side, take the doll instructions and the bottle. Combine the water with the mold, then the powder with the mold with water. Go to the microwave machine, and zoom in on the human-shaped part and slider. Put the knob in the head part, then put the gelatine mold in the machine and set it to cool. Put the gelatine below the knob to open a drawer with a key inside. Use the key to unlock both the handcuff in the left cabinet, and the one in the drawer to the right of where you got the powder on the back wall. This gives you 529, but you actually need the number upside down: 625. Now put the doll in the machine from before, but set it to warm this time. While you’re there, heat up the arm you got too. To get the code, you need to add the number from the hand (625) and the number from the doll (1234), giving you 1859. Input the code then use the arm to open the door.

Infirmary

Look on the examination machine for a barcode scanner. Take the stethoscope from the doctor’s coat to the left. Take the syringe on the bed past the lockers, and the spray on the table. Spray the lockers to get the combinations. From left to right: 528, 693, 415, 139, 275. In the third locker is a cube puzzle. Switch the pieces around then check when you think they’ll go together. Look at the gold edges for help. You’ll get a key card. There is a note in the fifth locker. The rest are empty, but you should open them anyway. Put the keycard in the slot by the screen on the examination table. Press the button three times, scanning each of the group in turn. Go to the screen that now has three barcodes, click on them with the scanner, then drag your finger across all three at once left to right to open a drawer, giving you ink and a wrench. Combine the ink and the syringe, then inject the candle on the poster. Now inject the two parts in the ink lines that look like candles on either side at the bottom. Use the wrench on the x marks on each corner of the painting. A large container will emerge; use the stethoscope on the lock so you can hear when you’ve turned it enough. You have to turn it left until you hear a click, right then left again: 15, 7, 12. Open the container then click on the objects to finish the quest.

[spoiler=infirmaryyyy]http://i.imgur.com/JEDOcnQ.jpg

Control

There’s seemingly a lot to do in this room, but not many items to do it. Head to the left and click on the poster with numbers and roman numerals on it to find sunglasses. All the way on the other side of the room is an intercom; click it to get a note. On the table in front of a machine with numbers and numerals on it is another card to grab. Check the four monitors to the left of the machine. The only important one right now is on the top right. Zoom out and note which way the lines point, this is how you need to turn the knobs on the machine to the left of the monitors. Do so to get a card and a part. Combine this with the glasses. Examine the glasses. Choose A Mode to get a big hint to solving the machine with the numbers. The wires you see actually refer to the poster, not the machine. Draw out the numbers and numerals, and connect them like you saw with the glasses. Then see what numbers match to each numeral. It is 4V, 1II, 2III, 5I, 3IV. Now just make those same matches on the machine opposite to open the door in the top left monitor. This gives you four directions in different colours: SE (red), N (blue), E (green), SW (pink). Rotate the top of the four coloured tanks to the matching direction to bring something up from the ground. Ignore this for now, and look at the bottom right monitor. All lights came on except the 2nd and 5th on the top shelf, and 1st and 4th on the bottom. Go to the cylinder buttons on the machine to the left, and press the same ones that lit up to open a locker. Grab the note and the earpiece. Combine the earpiece with the glasses. Examine them again and choose Mode B. This is a clue to the bottom left monitor. You have to match the sounds you heard to the sounds the crane makes when it goes a certain direction. Go Right, Down, Left, Down to press a button. 14 letters now appear on screen. These, with the notes, give a password: BETESTEDBYFIRE. Enter this in Mode C of the sunglasses. The video tells you how to complete the quest. Change the green machine to north, red to north east, blue to west, pink to south and black to northwest. Click the large plug next to the new machine to finish the quest.

Rec Room

Grab the book off the table in front. Grab the fire hook from the knight to the right of the fireplace. Head to the right and grab the small wooden box on the left side of the bar. Grab the matches on the right side of the bar. Grab the bottle of water on the shelf on the far right of the bar. Knock down the card pyramid. Past the machine asking for five coins is a cover on the floor. Use the fire hook to open it and get a hammer. Zoom in to the knight on the right to get a note in the knight’s face. Go around to the fireplace. Use the matches, box, water and fire hook in that order on the logs to get a coin. Use the hammer on the upside down chess board. Examine the piece that comes out, and change the reels to rook (castle), bishop, king. If you don’t know how pieces look, check the chess book. Put the word SPIN into the roulette wheel to get the wheel and another coin. Put the roulette wheel on top of the slot machine then spin the slots. You’ll get puzzle pieces. Click on the heart on the slot machine, and solve the puzzle. The solution is below if you’re stuck. Get the coin and the card calendar. Put the card in the jukebox and grab the dice on the ground. Using the card calendar, you can translate the cards you knocked down earlier to JAM-ODDS+SADMAN. The Jam is 100% pure, the odds are 35% and the number after the sadman drink is 570. This gives 100-35+570= 635. Put the dice in the slots on the bottom right of the card table and set them to 635 to get the final coin. Put all five coins in the machine to the right of the table and push the button to finish.

Power Room

Pick up the box of matches on the floor, signified by a glint. Open the gas valve directly in front (the red and yellow object), then follow the pipe right. Turn the switch on the yellow board near the end of the pipe, then use a match on the heater. Go back around to the machine next to the gas valve you opened earlier, and click on the sliding meter, and slide it to the left. Follow the pipe up until you get to a locker like object, then open the door for a steel mold. Hit the switch and you can open the locker below, to get a rotating puzzle. The pink circle is in the middle on one side and the blue one on the other, work from there. You get two sink plugs when solved. Put each in the two sinks in the room. Hit the switch on the machine next to the gas valve again, and open the locker towards the right this time to get an extinguisher, and switch to the bottom locker to get a block of tin. Put the tin and the mold in the furnace all the way on the left side of the pipe system. Turn the switch to the right of it, and use the matches then open the bottom to get a key. Put the key in the lever to the left then pull it. The large blue pipe next to the distribution panel is now defrosted, and you can turn the valve on it. Near the sink to the left is a drain out of place; click on it to put it back and turn the faucet on. Do the same to the drain by the other sink, then turn the faucet on there too. Turn the switch to the left of the door to turn on the power. Now solve the puzzle on the monitor, solution below. Go to the left and touch the large screen for another puzzle, the solution for which is also below. Now freeze the water to finish the quest.

Biolab

The side of the room with the pig in a machine will be considered the front. Click on the machine to the right of the computer to get two beakers. Head to the left and around, until you come to a unit with a sink on it. Click the sink, then grab the knife. On the shelf to the left, there is a note on the box squarely in the middle. Further left, click the DNA model on the table to get a red bead, and grab the note to the left. Use the knife on the pig pillow to get a few items. Use the lens on the microscope. Use the bead to unscrew the screws on the machine to the right of the desk. Put the two beakers from before on one at a time. You should have four test tubes now. Put them each under the microscope. It’ll be pointed out that they are in groups of 1-5. Go to the left to see a big cabinet with coloured buttons on them. Press the yellow button five times, white once, blue twice and red three times to open the cabinet. In here is a puzzle. You have to fit together all of the pieces, with the crosses all being in the correct place. If you are stuck, the solution is below. Go left to a microwave like machine, and put the plate from earlier inside. Head back to the machine you used to separate the liquids, and put the red and yellow test tubes inside to make orange. Go to the pig in a machine, and use the power cord on the machine on the left side of the desk next to it, then the knife. Put the orange, blue and white liquids inside in that order. Take the specimen and put it next to the others on the right side of the room. Rearrange them in the following order: Penguin, Seahorse, Fetus, Butterfly, Roots. Press the thing under the specimens and you’ll be able to move the sink. Click on the sink again, and the other light should turn on. Now move the machine with the pig to combine the two together. Pick up the pig and place it on the left side of the counter. Zoom out and open the drawer below the pig to get a scalpel. Put the pig by the sink and use the scalpel to cut open the pig to complete the quest.

Study

Turn around to the front of the desk and click on any drawer to get a key. Open the safe on the wall to the left to get three items and a note. Turn around and open the safe with the star on to get more items and notes. Combine part C and D. Use the handgun to shoot the members of C Team on the pictures above the fireplace (Carlos, Akane and Junpei). Click the top of the stairs to go up them. Use the combination 'NIL' to open the safe at the top. To the left of the stairs is another note. You can now open the safe to the left of the fireplace downstairs with ‘EXIST’. Combine parts E and F, then pull the lever inside the safe. You can now use the keypad on the left chair. Use the code S-02-16. This will give you a note. Equip the crossbow, and shoot the members of Q team (Q, Eric and Mira). If you mess up, you’ll have to shoot C team with the handgun again. You will get a grenade launcher. Use this on the cracked safe to the left of the chair. Grab the new part and the note inside. Go to the chair again. The note said J-05-03, but there were also three statues that meant shift down 7. This gives Q-12-10. Enter this to get another note. Now go to the machine on the right. The password is MIND. You now receive another note (which is redundant now), plus the last part. Combine A+B, then combine AB to CD, then combine ABCD to EF to get the key. Use it on the massive safe to finish the quest.

Pod Room

Click on the note to the left. Click on the thing to the left of the big gold vault. Click on the locks to do simple slide puzzles. Once you’ve done both, open the hatch and get the hammer. The circles on the floor and ceiling allow you to rotate the room if you hit them. This gets a little confusing so bear with me. Hit the bottom left one, and then hit the circle you couldn’t see before on the edge. Hit the one of the right side of the floor to bring it back to normal. To move the part of the room further back, hit the new circle here. Now hit the ceiling on the right side, and keep hitting that same circle until you can’t hit it anymore. Now hit the circle that’s now on the top right of the screen, until the front part of the room has done a complete turn. You should now be able to grab the gear from the tube on the left.

Now keep hitting the circles in the top left or bottom right corners until the part of the room further back is vertical, revealing another hatch and more puzzles at the top. You can’t reach it yet, so continue rotating the room to the right until it’s on the side. Now solve the two slide puzzles here to get the driver handle. Combine this with the driver tip (gear shaped) to complete the driver. The part below the vault should now be visible; there are two more slide puzzles to solve. Use the driver tip to activate the machine. The way this puzzle works is that red numbers add to the total in the middle, and blue numbers take away. You have to make 0 without going negative. For the first ring, just keep going left. For the second ring, just keep switching between adding 20 and taking 21. For the final ring, keep going right until the number reads 15, then go back to the left to solve the puzzle. Now using the machine that appears, keep turning left and right until all the green lines match up on the floor. Work from the back section to the front. Turn around and solve another two slide puzzles. Pick up the shotgun and use it on the glass to finish the quest.

Healing Room

Use the chairs and table as the front wall. Turn right to find a piano/harpsichord. Zoom in, then click on each white key to remove them (eight in total). Going further right is a dresser. Pick up the tumbler and the bottle of water on top, then open the bottom right drawer for some matches. There is also a note here. Go back to the piano and put water in the wine glass and the pitcher. You can also use the matches to light the candle on the table next to the large chairs. Go around to the left past the water tank and the door, and click on the dial on the wall. Turn it to change the room pattern. Go back to the right and you’ll see a flower pattern on the wall, you need to change all of the buds into flowers. Pick up the knife to the left. Switch back to the black and white pattern, then use the knife to stab the poster next to the piano, turning on the large machine. Go to it and pull the lever on the right side, unveiling a camera you can pick up.

Back out of the machine and head past the tube. You should see a spot on the wall which is mismatched, zoom into this and use the camera to take a picture, and open something on the machine. Put the C Key in the now open slot on the machine. Change to the flower room, and click on the bud above the puzzle you solved earlier. Now take a picture, and put the D key in the slot. Return to the dial and turn it right until you get a forest setting. Put the tumbler in the middle of the green circle on the floor, then take a picture. Put the E key in the new slot. Zoom in on the tube and take a picture. Put the F key in the new slot. Go to the candle, and take a picture, as one of the shadows looks like a key. Put the G key in the new slot. Go to the left chair, and with the camera click on the shape at the top. Rotate the camera so the part on the wall aligns, then take the picture. Put the second C key in the slot. Change the background to the new one (sky). Head to the wine glass and pitcher, and take a picture. Rotate the camera until the key appears then take the picture. Put the A key in the new slot. Finally, head to the shapes behind the chairs, and choose to take a picture. Wait until the green sides of the shapes line up, then take a picture. Put the final key into the slot, then press the play button. The notes played will be G E F HighC LowC D A B, or if you don’t know musical notes, 5 3 4 8 1 2 6 7. Go over and put the keys in the piano, and play the notes above in order. This will complete the quest.

Manufacturing

The Robots will be considered the front of the room. Turn left and pick the four pieces of paper and two objects off the table, and the wire cutters on the object to the left. Keep going to the left and you’ll see a glint on an identical object, this is a screwdriver head you can pick up. Combine it with the body to create a full screwdriver. Keep going left and pick up the two pieces of paper. Go to the electric things in front of the robot, and use the stun gun on them. Click them in the order of 1, 5, 4, 2, 6, 3 and you’ll power up the robots. Click on each robot. One will tell you to set the timer to zero, so click on the bomb on the right side and click the black button. You will be asked to disarm a bomb. It says five minutes. I’m not sure if that’s even enforced, but it’s super easy. Just cut the red wire, then click on the screws to get the cover off. The next part is a bit trickier, you must remove all of the screws without letting the hammers hit the middle. The solution is - Left side: 3, 1, 4, 2 (1=top 4=bottom). Right side: 1, 2, 3. After this, you can remove the corner screws. Next, cut the blue wire. Finally, cut the red wire once more. If you did this, congrats, you’ve beaten this quest! If you mess up any of the stages, you’ll have to do a minigame involving redirecting machines to the right places without them colliding. They aren’t too hard, but if you fail, it doesn’t really matter as you’ll be able to continue to before you messed up the stage of the disarming.

Transporter Room

Start off by picking up all 13 cards around the room. 10 are on the floor and 3 are on tables to the left of the green pod. Then use them all one by one on the monitor to the right of the yellow pods. Open the book to the left of the monitor, then read chapter 1. Then go to the right of the two tables, and place any card on the board. Chapter 2 should now be in the book. You are asked the number of the cards, and you can work out all but 3 from chapter 1 and 2. You’re supposed to work out the final 3 numbers through the card game by seeing what defeats what, but the symbols are, from 0-12:

Small Spiral, Sun, Moon, Person, 2 Moons, Pentagram, Person+Moon, Flower, 3 Moons, 2 People, Pentagram+Moon, Bird, Person+2 Moons.

Read the next two chapters. Go over to the now on monitor to the right, to get decagon reels. You can put these on the machine on the left table at the back of the room. You can now get more, these are tridecagon reels, you can put these in the machine too. You can check the book again for more hints. If you haven’t got it, you need to put 11x11x11x3x7 (27,951) into the bottom reels. Turn the handle, and this gives you the code. In symbol form, that’s Moon, Flower, Two People, Pentagram, Sun. The code is Person+2 Moons, Two People, Pentagram, Sun. You put this into the keypad you get by clicking the middle of the nucleus. That’s the end of this rather complicated quest.

Locker Room

To the left of the sinks is a hairdryer. Turn to the left and open the two leftmost lockers to find a conversion plug and a note. Also open the rightmost one and examine the music box and the pipe at the bottom for later. Combine the plug and the hairdryer, and use it on the plughole above where you originally got the dryer. Click on it and the fan will spin, revealing the words ‘Violet White Blue Red’. This is the combination for the second from the right locker (the yellow lock). Inside is a coin and remote control. Turn left and open the panel on the red box with the coin. Plug the pipe on the left in, then press the right hand switch to change which light is on. You can now examine the remote, and press the button to drain the other side of the room. Check the hole the water drained through to find a round piece. Open the left shower to find a note. Turn to the left and check the left shower on this wall to find a bucket. Go back around to the right, and use the bucket on the faucet in the shower to the left of the red box. Switch the lights then click on the right sink next to the hairdryer, then use the bucket on it. Look towards the open hole on the ground while it is dark, and you’ll see the order the last locker needs to be opened in. From L-R T-B the order is 3 4 8 2 1 7 6 9 5. Inside is another rotating puzzle; solving it gives a screwdriver. You can push the button again to close the drain.

Now switch the lights and use the key to open the door between the two pairs of showers to grab the hose. Open the shower immediately to the left, and open the hatch at the bottom of the tank with the screwdriver, then use the round object you found earlier on the hole. Click the button, and grab the piece at the bottom. You can put it in the hole in the red box, allowing to whole room to be lit up. Use the screwdriver on the shower head to the left of the red box, then the hose to activate the music box. Grab the note in the drawer. Go inside the private shower you unlocked earlier. When you exit, press the reset button on the red box to finish the quest.

Trash Disposal Room

Grab the gas torch in front of the window to the right. Open the locker, grab the toolbox and the mask. If then mask isn’t the current object, change to it so you can see more things around the room. Go to the right control panel and click on the slider with letters above them. Adjust the sliders so it spells TIC. You can now click on the window to switch views, do so. To the left is a screwdriver, use it to screw open the panel directly below where you found it. Put the screwdriver then the screws on the weight station. Now switch back to the other room, and put 155 into the panel to the left of the room, where you can see a picture of two screws and a screwdriver with the goggles. You can send the gas torch through. Go back again and send the toolbox through. Use the screwdriver on it, and solve the puzzle inside. You need to fit the pieces on the board, overlapping the Xs. The solution I got is below. Now go over to the weigh station, and use the gas torch on the thermometer. This releases the coin on the other side. Use it on the cover directly opposite, to uncover a button. Click on the chair until Sigma sits in it. Pick up the box, put it in the chute then open it using the Screwdriver. Click on the chain to get a revolver. Use it on the keyhole next to the chair to finish the quest.

Down the Hatch is missing the trophy image :)

I'm kinda sad the puzzle solutions are not spoilered as well =D

The puzzles are still a part of the game, it feels kinda bad having them exposed like this :D

But great guide for everyone who wants to Platinum this gem. Hopefully without the solutions xD

The missing trophy image is an ad block issue.

And since I put them in completely separate posts, they're pretty easy to avoid :D

It feels sort of sad to give people the means to plat this game without fully experiencing it, but it had to be done :p

I though you got the trophy for not pushing the button in one of D teams puzzle rooms but maybe I'm wrong and you can get it in both places.

I wrote the guide after I had already unlocked the plat, so I assumed it was for the button that all 3 teams can press. I looked at a couple of people who have platted it on PSNP, and I saw one with the noone presses the button trophy before not pressing the button. Thanks for the heads up!

On that note, if anyone follows the step-by-step walkthrough and any trophy unlocks in the wrong place, let me know, as I made the walkthrough on a second playthrough post-plat, and I just put the unlocks where I thought they were.

There are two button press trophies.

[spoiler=buttonzzz]

What Are Ya, Chicken? - Healing Room, D-Team fragment only, final decision game

Virtue's True Reward - Decontamination Room, either Team, no leader presses the yellow button

Once again thanks for the guide TheManUtdFan it was helpful :D

A few things I caught that wasn't correct were some minor things but i'll put them in a spoiler just incase.

[spoiler=phi]

First off the picture is wrong in the trash Disposal room part since it suppose to be a tool box but you put the heart one again.

In the 2nd part of the walkthrough at the top in the part Choose C team, left. Click the exclamation mark. Then choose the right option when back on the team screen. its suppose to be Team D.

Also the trophy name is suppose to be Wrinkle in Time in the Trophy- Shoot That Person part.

And lastly The Trophy- Virtue's True Reward actually pops when you pick a one of the new segments since it has to announce the number of causalities being 0.

Hope that helps, there might've been more but I was too concentrated in Zero :p

Nice guide!

I enjoyed ZTD, but I'm sad that the design can block players. Even with the story locks in VLR, I always knew what I was supposed to do. ZTD, sometimes there were no indications as to what needed to be done.

Plus the fact that it doesn't track relevant passwords like VLR did...
