Eric-B14
http://i.imgur.com/OTtSJy1.png This is a guide to show you how to 100% complete Jiminy's Journal in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. This guide will show each and every requirement for every journal entry and explain the fastest and the easiest way to unlock them. To complete the journal you will need to do everything in the game to unlock all the entries, that includes collecting every collectible, playing every minigame, finishing every arena match, using every limit at least once and encountering every NPC and enemy types in the game. You’ll know if you have completed a section of the journal because it will have an orange Mickey Mouse symbol next to it if it is finished. As you play through the game, I recommend you fight every enemy you see and grab every treasure you come across as this will save you time later on but don't worry if you miss anything because nothing is unobtainable if you don't get it first time around and you will always be able to come back later to any world. You will not be able to finish the journal until after you finish story mode and fight all the secret post game bosses. Please note that everything in this Guide will be in the same order as the entries appear in game. By following this guide you will unlock these trophies: Searcher Professor Heartless Highbrow Nobody Know-It-All Treasure Hunter Puzzler Navigator Conqueror Minigame Maniac Limit Master Craftsman Seeker Also note that to get each of these trophies you will need to actually go into the journal and go into whichever category you need the trophy from, for example to unlock the “Heartless Highbrow” trophy you would open the journal and go to the Heartless section and then your trophy would unlock. Please check the end of this guide for a video showing what the completed Jiminy's Journal looks like. Eric-B14
Missions Note: The missions section of the journal requires you to not only play every mission but each one also has a special requirement to complete its entry in the journal. Luckily almost all of them are very quick and easy and should not give you much trouble. I recommend you wait until after you finish the story to start going after these so that you will be levelled up and have better weapons/abilities. I also recommend that you have the Second Chance, Leaf Bracer and Once More abilities equipped for the bosses. Twilight Town 1. Event Quests Challenge: Inspect the Absent Silhouette Area: Sandlot Strategy: This Absent Silhouette battle pits you against Lexaeus. This is a pretty easy battle once you realize that Lexaeus only uses a few different very telegraphed attacks. The best way to take him out is to spam Reflega right before he attacks you, because this spell can deal serious damage to him if you get the timing right. Besides that there really isn’t much to this fight and as long as you can get the timing down you should beat him in no time. 2. Mail Delivery Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Complete within 14 seconds Area: Market Street: Station Heights Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. The second challenge is also very simple and requires you to deliver all 5 letters in 14 seconds. The easiest way to do this is to jump on the skateboard and skate to all 5 people. Make sure to spam the button so you deliver the letters without stopping. 3. Cargo Climb Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Complete within 15 seconds Area: Market Street: Station Heights Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. For the second challenge, equip the Fenrir keyblade and the Aerial Finish abilities and just keep jumping and hitting the cart to get it up the hill. If done correctly you should do this with time to spare. 4. Grandstander Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Complete with 100 or more points Area: Market Street: Station Heights Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. Another simple challenge, equip the Berserk Charge ability and use up all of your MP then knock the ball into the air and keep attacking it and you’ll have 100 points in seconds. 5. Poster Duty Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Complete within 30 seconds Area: Market Street: Tram Common Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. The second part of this challenge is extremely annoying and hard to tell exactly what to do through text so I recommend you follow one of the paths in this great video by NocturnalVagabond to finish this mission. [ame] [/ame] 6. Bumble-Buster Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Complete within 10 seconds Area: Market Street: Tram Common Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. For the second challenge as soon as it starts cast Magnega to instantly win. 7. Junk Sweep Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Complete with less than 6 points Area: Market Street: Tram Common Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. For the second challenge, equip the Fenrir keyblade as well as the Negative Combo ability then un-equip abilities that help your combos. Now you just to need to line up the junk in a straight line and hit the first one towards the rest and you should finish with just one point. 8. The Struggle: Hayner Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Win by a margin of 100 or more points Area: Sandlot Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. The second part of this is incredibly easy, the balls your opponent drops when attacked are the points you need. The A.I. is awful here and you can just beat on them and you should get all their points in seconds, and then just avoid them until time runs out to finish the challenge. 9. The Struggle: Setzer Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Win with 150 or more points Area: Sandlot Strategy: To face Stezer you must defeat Hayner 10 times. The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. The second part of this is incredibly easy, the balls your opponent drops when attacked are the points you need. The A.I. is awful here and you can just beat on them and you should get all their points in seconds, and then just avoid them until time runs out to finish the challenge. 10. The Struggle: Seifer Challenge: Try Again Challenge: Win with 200 points Area: Sandlot Strategy: To face Seifer you must defeat Setzer 10 times. The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once and then try it again, time does not matter. The second part of this is incredibly easy, the balls your opponent drops when attacked are the points you need. The A.I. is awful here as you can just beat on them and you should get all their points in seconds, then just avoid them until time runs out to finish the challenge. 11. SB Street Rave Challenge: Give it a try Challenge: Finish with 1,000 or more points Area: Market Street: Station Heights Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. For the second challenge, the simplest way to get 1,000 points is to just grind the rails over and over while occasionally performing jump tricks until time runs out. 12. Mushroom XIII: No. 7 Challenge: Challenge to a duel Challenge: Complete within 10 seconds Area: Tunnelway Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. For the second challenge all you need to do is spam Reflega whenever it attacks you and you will finish this in around 7 seconds. 13. Mushroom XIII: No. 8 Challenge: Challenge to a duel Challenge: Complete with a score of 85 or more Area: The Tower Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. The second part of this challenge was the hardest thing to do in the game for me. I was only able to do it by following exactly what 123 456 does in this video. [ame] [/ame] 14. Mushroom XIII: No. 12 Challenge: Challenge to a duel Challenge: Complete with a score of 40 or more Area: The Old Mansion Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. The easiest way to score 40 points here is to equip the Berserk Charge ability and use Wisdom Form. After the challenge starts turn into Wisdom Form, now use Curaga to drain your MP gauge then spam the button and you should have no problem getting 40 points. Eric-B14
Hollow Bastion (Radiant Garden) 1. Event Quests Challenge: Meet the three girls again Challenge: Meet Sephiroth again Area: Postern for the girls and Great Maw for Sephiroth Strategy: To meet the three girls again go back to the Postern after the Battle of 1000 Heartless and talk to them. For Sephiroth I recommend you come back to fight him after you’ve finished the game and are either max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. As soon as the fight starts press to block his first attack, keep an eye out for the prompt during the fight as if you miss it he will take almost all of your health away with one attack. The easiest way to block his other attacks and deal some damage is to spam Reflega right before he hits you. Keep an eye for any opening for you to get a few combos in on him, if you have the Ultima Weapon then these should deal some great damage to him. When he uses his Meteor attack, the best way to avoid it is to glide in a circle around the area and wait for it to end. As long as you play it careful and block as many attacks as possible you should have him beat in no time. 2. SB Freestyle Challenge: Give it a try Challenge: Finish with 200 or more points Area: Marketplace Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. For the second challenge the simplest way to get 200 points is to just grind the rails over and over while occasionally performing jump tricks until time runs out. 3. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Enter the Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Investigate the depths of the Cavern Area: Cavern of Remembrance Strategy: Both of these will come just by working your way through the area. 4. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Xemnas again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This is a two part battle against Xemnas, for the first part it's you against Xemnas but for the second part you have Riku to help you. The first part of this fight is very easy, Xemnas is very open to combos during this part and as long as you avoid his lightsabre attacks then you should finish this part in just a few minutes. The second part of this fight is much trickier mostly due to the fact that the reaction command "Reversal" is glitched and doesn’t always work when it should. Like most of the bosses, Reflega should be used whenever you see Xemnas is about to strike to both protect yourself and deal damage to him. If Xemnas seems stunned after using Reflega, then that is your time to get in a quick combo but get out of there quickly before he has time to attack again. After you have taken off all of his health you get a reaction command that you need to push and when prompted to finish him off. 5. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Xigbar again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. One of the easier data battles, Xigbar is nearly identical to the last time you fought him except he is just a bit faster now. The quickest way to beat him is to go into final form and destroy him with aerial combos, this fight took me less than a minute using final form. 6. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Xaldin again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. Yet another boss that you can spam Reflega to win, the only part here where Reflega doesn’t work is when he casts Aero on himself. When that happens I recommend you avoid him until it wears off and then go back to Reflega you beat him. 7. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Vexen again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This one is another pretty simple fight, I used Limit Form for most of the fight which dealt decent damage to Vexen. If he summons the anti-Sora, then make sure you focus your attacks on that because it can kill you very quickly otherwise. Another method to beat Vexen is to use Wisdom or Final Form and spam Firaga because he is weak to fire damage. 8. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Lexaeus again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This is a pretty easy battle once you realize that Lexaeus only uses a few different very telegraphed attacks. The best way to take him out is to spam Reflega right before he attacks you, because this spell can deal serious damage to him if you get the timing right. Besides that, there really isn't much to this fight and as long as you can get the timing down you should beat him in no time. 9. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Zexion again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This battle can be either really easy or really annoying if you don't know Zexion’s attacks. His main attack is turning you and your party into books and sending you into the book where you have to fight your way back out. When you’re not in the book world you need to focus all your attacks on him using Reflega when needed to end this as fast as possible. Luckily Zexion has very little health compared to the other Organization members. 10. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Saix again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. The best thing for this battle is to stay in the air as much as possible when he enters berserk mode because Saix can't hit you up there as long as you stay moving. When he isn't in berserk mode that's when you want to focus on hitting him with combos and using Reflega whenever he attacks. Rinse and repeat until the fight is over. 11. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Axel again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. For this battle the floor is on fire for most of the fight which means you need to stay in the air as much as possible to avoid taking damage. Luckily Axel is pretty simple to defeat, after he jumps through the fire for a bit he will land in the middle of the arena and that is when you want to use your combos on him until he jumps back into the flames. At this point, keep an eye out for the prompt which will remove the fire floor and let you attack Axel much more easily. Rinse and repeat until he is defeated. Eric-B14
12. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Demyx again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having equipped the Bond of Flame keyblade. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This is the hardest boss in the game in my opinion. Every once in a while throughout the battle Demyx will spawn some water clones which you must defeat in a very short time limit, if you don’t defeat them all you lose the fight and must start over. The best way to beat him is to use Wisdom Form whenever the clones come out and spam Firaga until you defeat them all. The actual fight against Demyx himself is very easy as he has just a couple attacks and is vulnerable to attacks after he finishes his attacks. 13. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Luxord again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having equipped the Decisive Pumpkin keyblade. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. An easy battle, you just need to focus on hitting Luxord when he isn’t jumping into the cards and disappearing. If he turns you into a card/die avoid him until the effect wears off. The only tricky part of the fight comes when he makes a circle of giant cards around you at the end of the fight. When this happens you must hit on all four spots on the action command list at the right time, if you mess up you will most likely lose the fight and have to start over. If you do it correctly Luxord will be open to an attack and one hit will finish him off. 14. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Marluxia again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This is another fight where you are better off in the air than the ground to avoid his attacks. As usual Reflega will work best when trying to deal damage to him. Keep an eye out for the prompts to get a chance to stun Marluxia and deal heavy damage to him. Not much else to the fight other than that, just keep in the air and go on the ground when it feels safest and keep an eye out for the prompt. 15. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Larxene again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This is a very simple fight and the best way to beat her is spam Reflega and then going in for a quick combo, rinse and repeat until she is defeated. 16. Cavern of Remembrance Challenge: Fight Roxas again Area: Garden of Assemblage Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. Another simple fight so there really isn’t much to the strategy other than spamming Reflega whenever he attacks. One thing to note is to use Reflega the second the fight starts or you will lose a large amount of health. The only risky attack is when he jumps into the air in the middle of the arena, when this happens just glide in a circle around the arena to avoid damage until the attack ends. 17. Mushroom XIII No. 9 Challenge: Challenge to a duel Challenge: Complete with a score of 75 or more Area: Castle Gate Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. Equip the Berserk charge ability and the Horizontal Charge ability before starting this battle. When the fight starts cast Curaga then use a jump attack on the Mushroom and then just spam until you get 75 points. 18. Mushroom XIII No. 13 Challenge: Challenge to a duel Area: The Great Maw Strategy: This Mushroom only appears after all 12 of the other Mushrooms have been defeated. Once you’ve defeated them all head to The Great Maw to find all 12 of the Mushrooms standing in a line, approach them and press to finish the “duel” and get a new keyblade. Beast’s Castle 1. Event Quests Challenge: Inspect the Absent Sihouette Area: Beast’s Room Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. 2. Mushroom XIII: No. 3 Challenge: Challenge to a duel Challenge: Complete with a score of 450 or more Area: Bridge Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. For the second part I recommend you equip as many of the Draw abilities as you can to draw in the orbs he drops because that is how you get the points. At first the Mushroom slowly moves around the bridge dropping orbs but as time passes he starts to move very quickly and the only way to be able to keep up is to use Wisdom Form because that form allows you to move the fastest. Olympus Coliseum 1. Event Quests Challenge: Inspect the Absent Silhouette Area: Cave of the Dead: Inner Chamber Strategy: I recommend you don’t attempt this battle until you are max level or close to it as well as having already made the Ultima Weapon. Make sure you also have the Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Once More abilities equipped. This battle can be either really easy or really annoying if you don’t know Zexion’s attacks. His main attack is turning you and your party into books and sending you into the book where you have to fight your way back out. When you’re not in the book world you need to focus all your attacks on him using Reflega when needed to end this as fast as possible. Luckily Zexion has very little health compared to the other Organization members. 2. Phil’s Training Challenge: Try Practice Mode Challenge: Try Maniac Mode Challenge: Complete with a score of 1,000 or more. Strategy: The first two challenges here are very simple and just require you to play each of the two different modes. For the third challenge make sure to equip all the Draw abilities you can so you can pick up the points easier. The quickest way to 1,000 points is to just spam Magnega over and over, doing that you should have no problem getting 1,000 points. 3. The Underdrome: Pain and Panic Challenge: Give it a try Challenge: Win with a score of 2,000 or more Area: Underworld Entrance Strategy: The first challenge here is very simple and just requires you to try this mission once. Before you try the second challenge equip all the Draw abilities that you have to make this much easier on yourself. In every round of the match use the Stitch summon and repeatedly use his Ohana attacks command for as long as possible to easily get the score requirement. SB Workshop Rave Challenge: Give it a try Challenge: Finish with 1,000 or more points Area: Yuletide Hill Strategy: The first challenge here is simple and just requires you to try this mission once. Now all you need to do is repeat the pattern of jump then attack, over and over until you drain his massive health bar. It's an extremely cheap way of beating this guy but it works if you can’t beat him legitimately. Timeless River 1.
