I wonder if someone commited suicide after playing this

The game is of course overhyped, but the story is really strong and depressive. I wonder if someone commited suicide after playing this game. And this title is about one really good point-life is piece of shit when you look at it despite what you do.

I would like to think someone didn't. The concept of the story is deep, but the gameplay of it all is not very immersive which I think allows the separation between reality and video game to happen. I can see the dialogue hitting close to home with some, but I don't think it'd go so far as to give someone the final push over the edge.

I disagree with the good point, though. In the situation of the game, it appears hopeless and that life is a piece of shit, but I don't think that's really true for reality. Sure there are moments where it sucks and we all want to just curl up in our bed and never leave, but life can also be beautiful. In the instance of the game, the beauty comes from his final release. The ending was his decision, no one elses - he left in total control of his own life. It may be weird, but I find beauty in that.

I would hope not. The game even starts with a disclaimer so I would imagine if you play the game you can handle the content it presents.

Actually, I haven't played the game yet, but I cannot imagine that a game would be enough to push someone over the edge. If a person were really in such a mood, I don't think they would play a game like that, or any game for that matter. Can't say, though, I might be wrong as I'm a textbook case of optimism, though I'm somewhat misanthropic and antisocial at times...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing this, I love stories that are either depressing, dark, dystopian and generally have no happy ending.

Is the game really that depressive?

I wouldn't cal it depressive, but more of a reality check. Many of the things stated by the character are true, most of us just find a way around them, others cannot and sink into depression.

I would hope nobody did, but I wouldn't be shocked if someone did end it after this. I found the game quite depressing personally. I think the discalimer was probably necessary.

Don't they have a warning at the start of the game ?

Honestly i loved the reading, the game can make you think in several points in life.

the game is quite sad, mostly because even when he tries to remove the bad idead of his head, they keep coming, besides the constant monologues from the main character are quite strange.

I must admit after finishing the game i got a little of "dem feels", but nothing more serious or deep. As they said before, he killed himself because it was his own choice, and this game more than a "swansong" thought, it must be something to correct the little details in life, that no matter how old or how difficult the things might be, there are always roads to get to success and progress in life :applause:

I've never seen a disclaimer at the start of a game before, but I think people know what they're getting into before playing it. I doubt anyone actually did something drastic based on a half-hour game. If they did, I'm sure it would have been in the media and Jack Thompson would have got on his high horse again.

The game is so short it doesn't even give you time to feel really depressed.

Even so, there are some points in the game where it tries to encourage you (or your character, idk) so I wouldn't go so far as to say the game is totally depressing. There are way darker products in the mainstream industry, and more intense.

It's depressing in the sense the main character is so unlikeable. I just found it impossible to care about someone who was such a self centred, moping turd. Half way through I was desperate to fling him from the roof.

Probably the weirdest choice for a PS+ game so far
