LURadioDJ
$29.99 is the most expensive Tell Tale game thus far for me.....for a game that I'm very unsure about it's a lot to commit too. Has anyone played it and can legitimately say that it's a quality Tell Tale game with a good story or not ??
TheDoctor69
Exactly what I was wondering...it's £25 in the U.K,but I want to be sure it's going to be a good game first. (Although the trophy whore inside me is screaming 'it's a easy ,get it...get it!!!)
DrakeHellsing
I too would like to know what this one is actually like, if it's any good like TWD was, or not.
MrMinderbinder
If I'm going to wait a year for a game to release, I'd better be getting it at a discount. With the lengthy (and ever increasing) times between TellTale chapters, it will be a minimum of a year before you get this platinum anyway. Since you'll be waiting a full year anyway, why not wait until you can get this game on sale (for $15 or less)?
lost4lost
Think im going to wait as well. Will they do a discount on the season pass before all episodes are out? Not sure if Tell Tale has done that with there other games.
twyz
$30 is too much for an episodic game. Tell Tale games are fun, but they don't have a lot to them to justify that price. Unless this one is different somehow.

Eightc
I think the $30.00 price tag is alright. The quality of this game is good, it looks good, very well voice acted and so far a decent story although the clear market of this game is younger children. Episode 1 took me roughly 2 1/2 hours to finish which isn't long but there are 5 parts so you'll be looking at around 10-12 hours for the entire package when all is said and done. I'm a huge Minecraft fan so I got quite a bit of enjoyment out of it and it's certainly charming but without the rest of the episodes it's hard to say although I already have a pretty good idea where the story will end up. The game looks beautiful and if they ever decide to do a major revamp on Minecraft I hope it looks this good. Only minor complaints I had about the first episode was the exploration parts it felt a little clunky moving around but the fighting in the game worked well enough. The only other Tell Tale game I've played some of was Back to the Future and for me it was pretty much on par with that imo but I haven't played anything else by them so I don't know what the quality of the other titles are. jemin2009
$24.99 for the season pass but $24.95 if I buy the episodes separately? What am I missing?

Not sure if Tell Tale has done that with there other games. Yeah they did, many times actually. Especially Tales from Borderlands and Game of Thrones, I've seen them on sale at least 3 times in the recent months. I think TWD SE2 was also on sale already before it was complete. Oo Ion oO
Thye just had two complete Telltale package sales the past few months, I grabbed the PS4 versions of all the TT games from it. Probably coming something similar with Minecraft added after all episodes are out. Doesn't help for people who bought the individual games though. As for the price, I enjoy Minecraft so it's not a big deal to me. TWD season 1 is still NOK200 (~$23.50) if I were to buy it on disc today. You're not missing anything except you'd be paying more when you get it for less, 4 cents isn't much but I'd rather have it my pocket than give it to them. That's my thinking as well. I did however buy the season pass in the off chance there is a dlc episode later. Kind of like the first season of Walking Dead. thestoney6
i got my son the retail version of this, which has the season pass built into it, it cost £24 and i dont think its worth it. He has completed the 2 chapters that have been released and they took about 1.5 hours each and he is only 6 so assume others may do it quicker. The platinum couldn't be easier, so if your after that id wait till its dropped in price.

MrE
I was looking at this on the store the other day & in the description it says in game purchases required So if I understood it correctly even if you get the season pass now before episodes 3-5 are released you will have to make additional in game purchases. That seems very wrong to me if its true.

MrE
That's a misprint, getting the Season Pass entitles you to get all the remaining episodes for free . Yeah it does also confirm that you get the other episodes. Its the the in game purchases required that the season pass described as opposed to in game purchases optional in single episodes. You sure could be right but it is a different phrase rather than a simple typo.

Now I think about it, that sounds like the description for the iOS version as that talks about in-app purchases so it could be they just got the two mixed up as it would render the Season Pass redundant if you still have to pay for everything . HoddzDJ
I quite like Minecraft, so think I will pick this up but not until it gets around the £15 mark, especially if it's going to be a fast game with possibly no re-play value.
Noid
I picked it up for $20 on XBone. It's just ok.
LordBattleBeard
I thoroughly enjoyed playing the walking dead seasons 1 & 2, the wolf among us, and tales from the borderlands but unfortunately this game doesn't match up and just isn't on the same par quality-wise. The story is uninspired and the characters forgettable. What is does try hard to be is funny but the dialogue is weak and as a result isn't funny. The celebrity personalities behind the characters are nothing to write home about. Gameplay-wise its like a bad lego game on training wheels. The cinematic scenes are pretty but seem to be in place of any actual gameplay. A toddler could probably complete this game without needing any help. It's mediocre at best. It would be an OK buy at 1/2 the listing price. Edited December 23, 2015 by LordBattleBeard
willozsy
i picked the game up at bestbuy for 20 (16 after GCU) and just finished ep2. its a very weird experience. i think TTG has been not doing their best since the Tales from Borderlands. i hope to see more from them
Blaze Naruto Shippuden
I'm waiting for a sale for both the PS4/PS3 versions. Sooner or later it'll be about $4.99 to $7.99.
russelguppy
Quick question, does the disc come with a code for downloading the other episodes or does the disc itself act as the code? Reason I'm asking is that a Cash Converters has the disc for under £10 but not really sure if I would be just buying episode 1, if anything at all.
