PS3 version has no campaign

Recommended Posts

Activision confirmed the old gen version will have no campaign because it was too difficult to recreate on older software.

Well, anything for a buck, I guess. Seems kinda pointless.

Well, anything for a buck, I guess. Probably will still be the same price as the current gen version.

Since previous Black Ops games had Multiplayer Trophies in the Disc Trophy list I would assume they will in Black Ops 3. Maybe they change the values to Gold and Silver on PS3 and make them bronze on PS4.

Even if the list is easy on PS3 you still have to attend to the DLC packs and I doubt this year they will be cross system again for the 3rd year in a row

Why don't they just can it then :shrugs:

I wasn't going to get the PS3 version anyway but this sucks for people who don't have a PS4 yet. What a terrible choice, just make the game current gen only if it has to be gutted to be played on last gen.

These^

Agreed. If they can't get it to work on the PS3/Xbox 360 then why not do what other developers have done and scrap them, then move on with the current versions instead? The PS3 versions of Mad Max, Arkham Knight and Dying Light were all canned and the resources redirected into the PS4/XB1 versions instead.

You guys are thinking of this wrong. Since it includes Blops1 ($65 on the Canadian store if you subtract the cost of the included first dlc, no I'm not joking) they're actually valuing the MP and zombies at -$15. It'll be a better deal to but this than to buy the first blops digitally.

Black Ops 1 isn't worth $50 bucks anymore.

Call of Duty actually focuses on single player?

I wonder if this is Activision experimenting with the idea of scrapping Single Player entirely for future Call of Duty games? If sales aren't really affected on the PS3, it might give them the impression that it's not worth developing a Single Player campaign in the first place .

They already sell an MP only version of the game on Pc.

If that's what they're going for I don't see what they'd expect to find though. Most people who are only playing AAA games like cod and whatever will probably have moved to ps4/one, so they're not getting many sales from this to begin with. I could see them just doing MP only versions of the game on ps3/360 moving forward though just to have something on the systems.
