Start your engines and get ready to race through 44 fast paced levels at top speed as you fly higher than the clouds in this extreme obstacle course rocket racer. Drift, boost and jump your way to Gold through three different race modes: Time Trial, Platforming and Collector. This is a game that is sure to challenge you and keep you coming back for more!

 

 

 

 

There are three different modes you’ll need to complete all the courses in: Platforming, Time Trials and Collectors.

 

 

Step 1: Complete the Platforming courses.

 

Platforming mode has the highest course count (25) and is also the hardest of the three modes (in my personal opinion) so you'll want to get these out of the way first. It'll also give you enough practice with the controls to make the next steps easier. You do not need to get Gold on every course. You only need to get Gold on 2 courses – Hard A and Very Hard A, but if you miss Gold on this step, you can come back later to get these. You get Gold by not using any retries as time does not matter here. You only get 10 tries for each course before you have to start over, so practice each course as much as possible to get the hang of them.

 

Once you have finished the final course, you will earn:

• Platforming Complete

 

Step 2: Complete the Time Trial courses.

 

Time Trial mode has the 2nd highest course count (11). You do not need to get Gold on every course. You only need to get Gold on 3-4 courses (Easy A, Medium C, Hard B and whichever course you decide to use for Ghost Buster) as the times required for these four trophies will get you Gold, but do not worry if you miss them on this step. You can come back and replay the levels later.

 

Once you have finished all the Time Trial courses, you will earn:

• Time Trial Complete

 

Step 3: Complete the Collector Courses

 

There are only 8 courses for Collector Mode. You will need to collect all 5 stars in each course to complete them - the level will not finish until all 5 are collected. Once you have finished the final course, you will earn:

• Collector Complete

 

Step 4: Clean-up.

 

You may have already earned some of these trophies while going through the previous steps, but if you have not, go back and go for the goal specific trophies (Beat x Time, Beat x Course, Earn x Medal). See individual trophies for descriptions and tips.

 

After this step, you will earn:

Extra Game Tips

• If your car starts to spin in the air, tap your brake - this will stop you from spinning.
  
• On sharp turns, let go of the gas and turn. Gun it once you are past the start of the turn. Your car will turn easier if there's no force behind it.
  
• Take the turns as close to the inside as you can.
  
• Your car won't spin out but will start to drift if you take a turn too fast.
  
• Make small directional adjustments when fixing your positioning on a track. The controls are very responsive in this game.

  Bronze

Get a bronze medal.

 

You will most likely earn this as you're playing through all the courses in all the modes, but if you want to get it out of the way, this is easiest done on Time Trial Easy A. Complete the first 4 laps as you normally would and stop just before the finish line on your 5th lap. Wait for the clock to run down until it states “Bronze”. Now pass the finish line to complete the course to earn your Bronze Medal.

 

 

  Silver

Get a silver medal.

 

You will most likely earn this as you're playing through all the courses in all the modes, but if you want to get it out of the way, this is easiest done on Time Trial Easy A. Complete the first 4 laps as you normally would and stop just before the finish line on your 5th lap (if you need to) and cross the finish line when the timer says "Silver". Once the course is complete, the trophy will pop.

 

 

  Gold

Get a gold medal.

 

You will most likely earn this while you're playing through all the courses, but if you want to get it out of the way early, Time Trial Course Easy A is the course to do this on as it is one of the easiest levels. Watch your speed on the turns and boost through them once you're facing the correct direction. You can fall off the course, but you must cross the finish line when the timer reads "Gold". Once the course is complete, the trophy will pop.

 

 

  Ghost buster

Beat your own ghost in a Time trial level where you already have a gold medal.

 

This is easiest done on Time Trial Easy Course A. If the ghost feature is not activated, it is recommended that you turn this on by hitting in the level select menu. Beat the gold time necessary, but not by an excessive amount. Restart the course and do your best to beat your original time. If you turned ghosts on, you will see your ghost from your previous run so you can gauge if you're faster or not. Once you've finished the course (and beat your previous ghosts time), the trophy will pop.

 

Additional Trophy Opportunity: If doing this on Time Trial Easy A, go for Easy Does It on your second run through to get both trophies out of the way (see trophy description for details).

  Without a scratch

Complete Platforming Hard A in less than 0:50:00 with no retries.

 

Replay the level a few times to get the hang of all the turns and jumps. Watch your boosters when going around corners and make sure not to waste them (you'll need them for the jumps). Beat the course in less than 50 seconds to get the trophy. See video if you need any help (not the best quality video but you'll get the idea).

 

 

 

 

  Easy does it

Beat the time 1:48:00 in Time trial Easy A.

 

Replay the level a few times to get the hang of it. You'll need to finish 5 laps in 1:48:00 or less. You'll want to boost through the turns on this course. Once you have finished your 5th lap and if you beat the time, the trophy will pop. See video if you need any help (not the best quality video but you'll get the idea).

 

 

  Medium C

Beat the time 2:26:00 in Time trial Medium C.

 

Replay the level a few times to get the hang of it. You'll need to finish 5 laps in 2:26:00 or less. You'll want to boost / drift through the turns on this course, but keep in mind to not boost after the 2nd checkpoint until after you have started the U-turn. Otherwise you'll fly off the course. After you have finished the course within the time limit, the trophy will pop. See video if you need any help (not the best quality video, but you'll get the idea).

 

 

  Hard Times

Beat the time 4:25:00 in Time trial Hard B.

 

Replay the level a few times to get the hang of it. You'll need to finish 5 laps in 4:25:00 or less. Watch your speed going through the first orange rings as they will flip your car if you get too close - if this starts to happen, hit your brake to stop your car from spinning. After your jump through your 2nd Orange Ring, you'll start to go downhill to the last checkpoint - brake right before and let go of the gas to turn easier. Boost through the turn once you're facing the right way. If you're going too fast before you turn, you will fly off the course. Once you have finished your 5th lap and have beaten the time, the trophy will pop. See video if you need any help (not the best quality video, but you'll get the idea).

  Time trial complete

Complete all Time Trial levels.

 

You do not need to get a Gold Time on every level. You need to score at least Bronze to complete the levels. If the timer runs out while saying "Bronze", the level will end and you'll have to start over. Once you have finished the 11th level, the trophy will pop. You will need to complete 5 laps in each course.

 

 

  Platforming complete

Complete all Platforming levels.

 

You do not need to get a Gold Medal on every level. You just need to complete each level within 10 tries or less. The levels will automatically end if you've hit 11. There is no time limit so take your time. These do not have to be perfect and you can finish them rather sloppily. Save your boosters for the jumps and practice each course. The Hard and Very Hard levels will require you to be able to control your car as it's flying through the air so practice the handling of this as much as possible. Once you have finished the 25th Platforming level, the trophy will pop.

 

 

  Collector complete

Complete all Collector levels.

 

There are 8 Collector levels in which you'll need to collect 5 stars. The level will not end until you've collected the 5th star, so unfortunately there's no skirting past this one – go big or go home! While they may seem tricky, the main thing you need to practice doing is getting your car up in the air. Your booster automatically regenerates when you're not using it in this mode, allowing you to fly further than you otherwise would. There are no lives or time limits in this mode so you can fall off the course as much as you need. Once you have collected all the stars in the 8th level, the trophy will pop.

 

Hint: To get your car up in the air, you need to get your cars front end to face upwards. Slowly drive backwards until your cars back tires are barely hanging off a ledge. Back up slowly until the car is in the correct position (facing up) and let the boosters fly. This will propel your car upwards. It'll be up to you to steer it in the right direction.

 

 

 

  Nerves of steel

Complete Platforming Very Hard A without any retries.

 

The beginning of this level is not too bad, but the last jump of the game is where the difficulty lies. Save your boosters throughout this course for the jumps. If you need to use the booster, tap it only as much as you need. For the final jump, get centered on the ramp and hit your boosters at the bottom of the ramp. Hold the analog stick forward so you go through the first two rings and stop the boosters right before the 3rd. Tap the booster as needed to propel yourself forward towards the landing ramp. The last Orange ring is right on top of the landing ramp so if you aim for that ring, you'll be good. Once you have finished the course without retrying, the trophy will pop.
