This info needs added to the guide:

Specialised (S)

Twister (Up/Right) (unlocked by winning all 4 events in Stage 2)

Gyromaniac (Down/Right) (unlocked by winning all 4 events in Stage 4)

Whirlwind (Down/Left) (unlocked by winning all 5 events in Stage 6)

Sidewinder (Up/Left) (unlocked by winning all 6 events in Stage 8)

Bret Taylor (unlocked by winning all 7 events in Stage 10)

This info would have saved me alot of time. I have been trying to unlock the You're special! trophy and could not figure out why I couldn't perform any of the above tricks. When I searched the internet to find out how to unlock Bret Taylor is when I found out that the other 4 tricks had to be unlocked.

Well, this is a way old thread but maybe someone will see it and answer my question.

How do you ' tweak' tricks when airborne?

I was watching a video for collecting the Zero to Hero trophy and the dude was going from a Shaolin to a Bar Hop all in one motion.

How do you do that? It'll obviously seriously help me collect some of the trick trophies as well.

I'm just not getting the button sequence right or something.

Has to do with :l1: and :r1: but I'm not clear on how to use them.

Yes, to tweak a trick you will use the :l1: or :r1: buttons after doing a regular trick. (You can also just hold down the :l1: or :r1: and then hit a trick to go straight into the tweaked trick)

So, if you want to do a Bar Hop to Shaolin just use the following combination:

 + :cross: (continue holding down while the Bar Hop is executed and then press :l1: or :r1: to tweak it into a Shaolin)

You get credit for pulling the 2 tricks. Once I got that method down, it made it so much easier to pull of the Tricked Out Trophy instead of trying to do all the tricks individually and keep track of which ones I had completed.

Thanks man.

That's exactly what I was looking for.

I noticed when it shows your friends scores on tracks that you've got some crazy high scores some of the freestyle tracks.

That's where I think I'm going to have the biggest problem with the trophies.

I can come up with enough combos to win the actual event but I'm not getting anywhere near the kind of combos I'm going to need for the other trophies.

Although, I haven't really spent any time practicing to make sure I'm pulling fresh tricks or actually stringing combos together. I just do enough to stay in the lead and win the event.

Guess after I finish all the events, I'll just have to start practicing. And like any game, I'll get it down and be fine although it's sure frustrating at the beginning.

Lap another rider in an offline sprint track event.

This is quite simple. At the beginning of the game, the AI's are pushovers. There are very easy to beat. Select sprint and choose any track you're comfortable with and set it to 5 laps which is the maximum. Laping another rider means being a lap ahead of him. Since the AI is crap you'll get it done within the 5 laps.

Hey i realise that this guide was written 5 years ago now, and nobody probally cares, but there is a mistake.

Sprint can be set up to 10 laps.

I only noticed as i am was punching out a few easy trophies going for the RUDOLPH site award, this was my L trophy and after 2 tries on 5 laps i just kept missing lapping somebody, went back and realised you can set it to 10, did that then got it on the 6th lap.

Anyway, like i said nobody probally cares and the guide writer hasn't been active on the site of nearly 2 years.......just saying thats all. :p
