Super Time Force, by Canadian studio Capybara Games, is a side-scrolling action and shooter game that was originally developed for Xbox platforms in 2014. The Ultra version, also shortened as STFU, contains the main game as well as the DLC and was released on PS4 and Vita in September 2015 as part of the :ps+: line up.

Developers describe STFU as an insane action game filled with robots, dinosaurs, fun and time travel and that's exactly what it is. Leading a squad comprised of 19 different characters, you'll be tasked to travel through time to various periods, from the prehistory to the distant future, in order to clean up the mess left behind by Dr. Infinity but the time manipulation doesn’t stop here: a special ability enables you to rewind time directly in the levels, thus creating an army of your clones that coexist on different timelines. Putting it into words may sound confusing and it will be when you first play it, but the game plays beautifully once you get used to it.

After clearing story mode and gathering collectibles along the way, you’ll need to beat a series of challenge rooms and complete Super Hardcore Mode, which is basically the same as story mode but with a twist. While challenging, the game is far from impossible to platinum and really fun to play, especially if you pay attention to dialogues and the various references hidden everywhere.

NOTES:

 • Make sure to check my collectible guideif you need any help finding glorbs and shards!
 • There are no missable trophies, you will be able to replay any stage at any time thanks to chapter select.
 • One trophy, namely Gotta Save Them All!, was glitched but still obtainable in the Vita release version. The problem was fixed with patch 1.01 (available in the EU, apparently still to be deployed in other regions). Please refer to the trophy guide for more details on the trophy itself, and to the Afterword on how to check which version you have currently installed and how to download the patch.
 • This guide was written by playing the Vita version. If you find any differences when playing the PS4 version, don’t hesitate to notify me and I’ll amend the guide accordingly.

Step 1: Beat story mode

Starting the game will have you thrown into the first time zone, 198X. These levels are pretty easy and will allow you to grasp the mechanics of the game. After this, you’ll need to complete 5 other time zones and defeat the final boss to beat story mode. I strongly suggest collecting all the glorbs and shards as you play through the levels (or at least replaying them after beating them once), as you won't want to do this in Super Hardcore Mode. You might also want to keep an eye on character-related trophies but most will come naturally or are easily obtained. Other than that, I have no recommendation apart from having fun playing the game!

During this step, beating every time zone and the final boss will get you:

 • 198X Completed! (B)
 • Year 3072 Completed! (B)
 • 1,000,000 BC Completed! (B)
 • Year 199X Completed! (B)
 • 9600 BC Completed! (B)
 • Year 673 Completed! (B)
 • Infinity (G)

Collecting all the glorbs and shards will also unlock:

 • Baby's First Glorb (B)
 • Number One Shard (B)
 • OMG You Sharded! (G)

Finally, using the various characters you save/unlock and performing special actions will earn you:

 • Asplosion (B)
 • The Runs (S)
 • Defense is the new Offense (B)
 • 3 Birds 1 Stone (B)
 • Whole Lotta Lead (B)
 • Speed Freak (S)
 • Talent Scout (B)
 • Something Smells Rank (S)
 • Range of Fire (B)
 • Impartiality (B)
 • Gotta Save Them All! (S)
 • I Challenge You to a Duel (B)
 • Head Banger (B)
 • That Was Quick (B)
 • Team Player (S)
 • The Boss Beats A Boss (B)
 • Here's Your Order (B)
 • Don't Stop Believing (B)

Step 2: HellaDeck levels

HellaDeck levels are a series of challenge rooms in which you will need to collect glorbs under special limitations. Beating these will also net you the remaining glorbs. Please refer to the Decked Out trophy for more details.

During this step, you will obtain these trophies:

 • Hella Fun (B)
 • Decked Out (G)
 • All of the Glorbs (G)

I also recommend leaving the following trophy until then, since the character you unlock for collecting all the glorbs in the game will make it really easy to achieve:

 • They Are Looking (S)

Step 3: Super Hardcore mode

With everything else out of the way, your last task will be to beat Super Hardcore Mode. You should be pretty at ease with the game mechanics and character abilities by then and it won't cause you much trouble. Please refer to the THE HARDEST OF CORE trophy for more details.

During this step, you will be getting the remaining trophies:

 • THE HARDEST OF CORE (G)
 • TIME to go Outside (P)

Step 4: Clean up

This won’t be necessary if you followed my walkthrough but if you decided to leave some trophies or couldn’t get them before, this will be the time to replay the appropriate level(s) and get them!

Earn EVERY Trophy in Super Time Force Ultra

Congrats, you've beaten STFU :D!

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/a92.jpg Asplosion (B)

Use Jef's highly explosive rocket launcher to explode 15 enemies on a single level

After freeing Jef Leppard, simply defeat 15 enemies with him to earn this trophy. See below for how to unlock this character.
Jef Leppard is unlocked in the very first level you play (198X, stage 1). While you progress through the level, you’ll come to a closed garage door. Commander Repeatski will inform you that the character inside is a friend of his and would be a great addition to the team. All you have to do is break down that door and defeat the robot that drops down before it gets a chance to kill Jef, then walk up to him.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/5ae.jpg The Runs (S)

Complete a... clean... run of any level using only Squirty Harry

After gaining access to Squirty Harry, simply beat any level using only him. See below for how to unlock this character.
Squirty Harry is unlocked by collecting 50% of the shards in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/c43.jpg Defense is the new Offense (B)

Beat any level using only Shieldy Blockerson

Shieldy Blockerson is one of the three characters available right from the start of the game. As indicated in the description, all you have to do is beat any level using only him. Since he can't shoot (he can only bash enemies with his shield or damage them with his protective bubble), it’s probably best to do this on the first level (198X, stage 1).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/34a.jpg 3 Birds 1 Stone (B)

Kill 3 enemies with a single charged shot from Aimy McKillin

Aimy McKillin is one of the three characters available right from the start of the game. The occasions to get this trophy are numerous, especially in levels from time zones other than 198X as you’ll find yourself swarmed with small enemies several times. That being said, there’s a perfect place to get it in the second level you play (198X, stage 2). Progress until you drop down into the sewers, 3 little robots and a bigger one will be waiting for you there. Simply charge your shot by holding :square: and release it to shoot them, which will unlock the trophy. See the picture below for the exact location.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/673.jpg Whole Lotta Lead (B)

Fire 5000 rounds with Jean Rambois' machine gun

Jean Rambois' is one of the three characters available right from the start of the game. There's no explanation needed for this one, Jean’s machine gun and its charged attack will be your best friends during the first few levels and it will definitely come naturally (probably even before you complete the whole 198X time zone).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/83e.jpg Speed Freak (S)

Complete any level with 30 seconds remaining on the clock

Once again, the description is pretty clear and you will most likely get this without even trying. In case you didn't get it while playing naturally, boss fights are especially suited for this, particularly the ones from the 198X and 9600 BC time zones. Keep rewinding time from 31 seconds to the beginning to spawn more of your clones (preferably characters that hit the hardest) and you’ll have no problem unlocking this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/b8e.jpg Talent Scout (B)

Add a new team member to the Super Time Force

In addition to the three you start with, there are 16 characters that you can add to your Super Time Force team, either by rescuing them in levels or as completion rewards. You will earn this trophy after unlocking your first character. See below for the whole character list.
• Cleo: Beat the 199X time zone
 • Commander Repeatski: Complete story mode
 • Da Vinci: Collect 100% of the shards
 • Dolphin Lundgren: Rescued in the 9600 BC time zone, stage 2
 • Jef Leppard: Rescued in the 198X time zone, stage 1
 • Looker: Complete all Looker challenges
 • Lou Don Jin: Rescued in the 3072 time zone, stage 1
 • Melanie Gibson: Rescued in the 199X time zone, stage 2
 • Merlin: Rescued in the 673 time zone, stage 1
 • Re-Bot: Collect 100% of the shards
 • Squirty Harry: Collect 50% of the shards
 • Stash: Collect 50% of the glorbs
 • Zackasaurus: Rescued in the 1.000.000 BC time zone, stage 1
 • Shuhei Yoshida: Completion reward (best guess: collect 10% of the glorbs)
 • Sir Galahad: Completion reward (best guess: collect 25% of the shards)
 • Journey character: Completion reward (best guess: collect 25% of the glorbs)

Note that the last three are exclusive to Sony platforms.

These guesses are based on the fact that these were the requirements to unlock other platform exclusive characters (like when the game was released on Steam for instance). Furthermore, I unlocked Sir Galahad after the boss fight in the 673 time zone (which I played right after completing the 198X one). I had collected every glorb and shard until then which placed me at 19% glorbs and 26% shards. I had already unlocked Shuhei Yoshida after stage 1 of the same time zone, and unlocked the Journey character a couple of levels later (3072 time zone, stage 2).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/5c6.jpg Something Smells Rank (S)

Achieve your first STF rank on any level

http://i.imgur.com/oTPtdKT.png

As you can see in this pic, you can earn up to four small badges and a bigger one for every stage:

 • The one with the green check mark is earned by beating the level
 • The pink one with the shard rewards collecting all the shards in the level in a single run
 • The yellow one with the glorb rewards collecting all the glorbs in the level in a single run
 • The one with the purple Looker face rewards beating the Looker challenge in the level

Finally, you get the big badge in the center by getting all the other ones (you won't need to earn them all on the same run though). The first time you earn one like this will also net you the trophy.

Since you have to collect all the glorbs and shards throughout the game as well as beat at least one Looker challenge, this will come naturally. Note: Boss levels don’t have Looker challenges so you will probably unlock this after beating the boss of the 198X time zone if you pick up the shard and glorbs during the fight.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/d9f.jpg They Are Looking (S)

This ones totally a secret but you'll know it when you see it so hustle and look sharp

The trophy is unlocked by beating one of the Looker challenges, of which you find one in every level except boss fights. As you progress through a stage, right before reaching the end, you will notice a group of squares hovering the air as shown on the picture below:

http://i.imgur.com/uDwibTB.png

If you collect this, a new timer showing a "negative" time will appear right under your glorb and shard counts. If you use a time out and rewind all the way to the beginning of the stage, the timer will indicate how much time you have to collect it again. To complete the Looker challenge, you have to reach the symbol before that timer runs out (and goes back to negative values). If you manage to do so, then the symbol will look like this:

http://i.imgur.com/7TUUJ8B.png

Collect it and the trophy is yours. You can use as many time outs and different characters as you want, the more powerful the better. Check the video below to see it done in the first level of the 198X time zone (courtesy of bob101910):

[/ame]

Note that you don't need to collect the "squares" symbol first to activate the challenge. While trying to reproduce what’s shown in the video, I got this trophy by playing the first stage of the 198X time zone with Re-bot and was able to reach the symbol directly in its Looker form (that’s why the Looker timer doesn’t appear on the second screenshot).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/76c.jpg Range of Fire (B)

Fire 7 different charged attacks in a single level

As detailed for the Talent Scout trophy, there are 19 unlockable characters in Super Time Force Ultra. Once your roster comprises enough members, just use the charged attack of 7 different characters in the same level to earn this trophy! This will most probably come naturally while playing but can obviously be easily unlocked on purpose.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/c1e.jpg Impartiality (B)

Complete any level using at least 6 different members of the Super Time Force

Just like Range of Fire, this trophy requires you to use several characters and will come naturally. There are no restrictions on charged attacks or anything else though, all you need to do is complete a single level using 6 different characters along the way.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/f09.jpg Baby's First Glorb (B)

Get your first Glorb Badge

:tagcollectible:

See Something Smells Rank for a description of the different badges you can earn for each level. This trophy will unlock at the same time as your first Glorb Badge, which rewards collecting all the glorbs in a level in a single run.

Please refer to All of the Glorbs for more details on these.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/cf6.jpg Number One Shard (B)

Get your first Shard badge

:tagcollectible:

See Something Smells Rank for a description of the different badges you can earn for each level. This trophy will unlock at the same time as your first Shard Badge, which rewards collecting all the shards in a level in a single run.

Please refer to OMG You Sharded! for more details on these.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/d8e.jpg All of the Glorbs (G)

Collect all Glorbs in the game

:tagcollectible:

Glorbs are the tiny golden things you will find in levels, either in plain sight or released after destroying objects or killing enemies (you can notice glorbs concealed like this because the object/enemy will be sparkling). Each glorb you collect grants you with an additional time out. Note that you can check how many glorbs you have collected in the current level at the top of the screen:

http://i.imgur.com/ZlsgWCw.png

As stated in the description, you will have to collect all the glorbs in the game to unlock this trophy. More accurately, you will have to earn all of the glorb badges: you will need to collect all the glorbs of a level in the same run to earn the badge and register the glorbs as collected. Each regular stage holds 10 glorbs, while boss fights contain 3 (except the last one against Dr. Infinity which has 7).

Collecting every glorb in the main campaign will net 72% of all the glorbs in the game. To unlock this trophy, you will also need to beat all the HellaDeck levels since you will earn additional glorb badges for every set of 5 you beat (levels 1-5 = 1 badge, levels 6-10 = 1 badge, and so on until level 50).

Make sure to check my collectible guide if you need any help!

Note: As mentioned in this post by golu78, on really rare occasions the trophy might not unlock upon getting the final glorb badge. If this happens to you, all you need to do is replay any level collecting all the glorbs and the trophy should pop as intended (see here).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/3ad.jpg OMG You Sharded! (G)

Shatter or collect all shards in the game

:tagcollectible:

Shards are the small pink symbols you will find in levels. They will be hidden at first but are revealed by triggering a time out around them. Unlike glorbs, you can shoot them. Every time you collect/destroy a shard, time will slow down for everything other than you (enemies, bullets, glorbs). Note that you can check how many shards you have collected in the current level at the top of the screen:

http://i.imgur.com/XFlqXI7.png

As stated in the description, you will have to collect all the shards in the game to unlock this trophy. More accurately, you will have to earn all of the shard badges: you will need to collect all the shards of a level in the same run to earn the badge and register the shards as collected. Each regular stage holds 3 glorbs (always one near the beginning, one roughly in the middle and one close to the end or during the mini-boss fight), while boss fights contain 1.

Make sure to check my collectible guide if you need any help!

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/304.jpg Gotta Save Them All! (S)

Complete any level without leaving any saveable team members behind

:tagglitched:

GLITCHED but still obtainable with the Vita release version (fixed with patch 1.01)

Saveable team members are your former dead selves that were rescued by one of your later clones (that doesn't make any sense put that way but read on and you'll get it). If your character is hit by a bullet or touches an enemy, they die. This will trigger an automatic time out, allowing you to go back in time and spawn once more. If you manage to destroy the enemy that killed your previous self before they do or place a shield to protect them for example, they will become saveable at the time and location they died as pictured in the image below. Simply run up to them to save them. It should also be remembered that the first character you save gives you an extra life and their ability for your charged attacks.

http://i.imgur.com/eO9g88t.png

To earn this trophy, you have to save all the saveable members during a level, so make sure not to miss a single one. If a saveable character is located outside of the screen, a blue pointer aimed towards them will be displayed on the edge of the screen.

Note that the Vita release version carries a glitch that was present in earlier releases of the PC version of the game. Make sure to play with patch 1.01 installed to have this trophy unlocking as expected (thanks to cperezprg for pointing this out). If you can't download this patch (it only seems available in the EU at the moment) then the trophy is obtainable nonetheless, because you need to complete a level without dying and without using any time out (I can confirm it works since it’s actually how I got it). This is easiest done in the first level (198X tome zone, stage 1) once you get used to it and by taking your time.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/a82.jpg I Challenge You to a Duel (B)

Complete a Medieval level using only Lou Don Jim

After freeing Lou Don Jin, simply beat any level of the 673 time zone using only him. See below for how to unlock this character.
Lou Don Jin is unlocked in the 3072 time zone, stage 1. While you progress through the level, you’ll come to giant ventilator you have to destroy to continue further. Behind it will be a corridor with four flame throwers attached to the ceiling. Right after the third one, you will notice a blue portion of the floor that you can destroy. Do so, drop down there and you will eventually find Lou Don Jin relaxing in an armchair. Destroy the TV before Samara/Sadako reaches him to save him.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/87f.jpg Head Banger (B)

Kill any enemy by bouncing on its head, plumber-style

Another self-explanatory and easy trophy, all you have to do is killing an enemy by jumping on its head. Apparently, missiles/rockets also count as hinted by guylian here. Only three characters have the ability to do this: Zackasaurus, the traveler from Journey and Shieldy Blockerson (only when charging by holding :square:).

See below for how to unlock these characters.
Zackasaurus is unlocked in the 1.000.000 BC time zone, stage 1. You will find him right before the mini-boss fight, he's the green dino spray painting some big eggs. You will need to run up to him before he gets eaten by the mini-boss. The character from Journey is unlocked by collecting 25% of all the glorbs in the game.

Shieldy Blockerson is available from the start.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/19f.jpg That Was Quick (B)

Also called the "die-spawn-die-profit" trophy, this will definitely come by playing naturally, either by trying to force your way through a tough spot or simply making a mistake.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/cab.jpg Team Player (S)

Prevent the deaths of 50 members of the Super Time Force

Please refer to Gotta Save Them All! for more details on how to rescue characters from death. As indicated, you will need to save 50 members of your team to unlock this trophy. This is cumulative and doesn't have to be done in a single level or time zone and will come easily if you pay attention to saveable characters.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/131.jpg THE HARDEST OF CORE (G)

Complete Super Hardcore Mode

:tagsubsequent: :tagdifficulty:

Super Hardcore Mode is unlocked after beating story mode (all six time zones and Dr. Infinity stages). It can be accessed by a new option on the main menu. Note that starting Super Hardcore Mode won't erase your story mode data.

Despite its name, it will be pretty easy to complete. The levels are exactly the same, the enemies and bosses aren’t stronger or harder to kill. The only difference lies in the fact that if characters die, you won’t be able to use them in this stage anymore until you save them (see Gotta Save Them All! for more details on how to save a dead character). This is not permanent though, all characters will be available again when you start a new level or restart the current one. Having already beaten the game once and replayed some levels to grab the remaining glorbs/shards or unlock miscellaneous trophies, this won’t cause you much trouble. Make sure to use your stronger characters, rescuing them along the way if needed and you’ll be fine.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/063.jpg Hella Fun (B)

Complete 5 HellaDeck levels

Self-explanatory, just beat 5 HellaDeck levels to unlock this trophy. Please refer to Decked Out for more details.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/547.jpg Decked Out (G)

Complete all HellaDeck Levels

HellaDeck levels are challenge rooms that task you to collect a certain number of glorbs before the timer runs out. There are 50 of these, each one being unique: they all have their own layout and require different characters to complete with a limited number of time outs. Note that you won't be able to access some of these levels until you unlock the required character (but worry not, The Looker is not needed, so you won't have to beat all the looker challenges).

Most of them are pretty easy and can be beaten rather quickly, sometimes even on first try. A few are particularly difficult though and will require skill and precise timing. For these, all you need is to figure out (or look for) the correct strategy and get some practice.

If you are stuck on a level and need some guidance, don’t hesitate to check AMDM's HellaDeck Walkthrough. The videos provided there will help you greatly in understanding what needs to be done in the harder levels.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/216.jpg The Boss Beats A Boss (B)

Defeat a boss using only President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida

After gaining access to Shuhei Yoshida, simply defeat any boss using only him. His attacks are pretty strong (especially the charged one) but he's slow and will have trouble dealing with swarms of smaller enemies. This is why I recommend attempting this against the boss from the 198X time zone. See below for how to unlock this character.
Shuhei Yoshida is unlocked by collecting 10% of the glorbs in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3566/577.jpg Here's Your Order (B)

Destroy 4 enemies with a single blast of Sir Galahad's Arc Rifle

After gaining access to Sir Galahad, simply defeat 4 enemies with his charged attack to unlock this trophy. This is very similar to 3 Birds 1 Stone, and can actually be unlocked at the same location (although it should also come by naturally playing, as Galahad is one of the strongest characters in my opinion). See below for how to unlock this character.
Sir Galahad is unlocked by collecting 25% of the shards in the game.

Team up the character from Journey... with the character from Journey

After gaining access to the character from Journey, all you have to do is play with him, let him be killed by an easy enemy (like one of those small blue robot dogs), then save him with one of futures selves still as the character from Journey. Just as Here's Your Order, you will get this naturally since this character is definitely one of the best as well. See below for how to unlock this character.

Vita update install:

To correct the glitch affecting Gotta Save Them All! on Vita, you will have to install patch 1.01. You can check for updates by selecting the yellow arrow symbol when launching the game. If it's not there, try selecting the one with the two blue arrows first to look for updates. If the yellow symbol doesn't appear, the patch hasn't been deployed to your region yet and you'll need to get this trophy "the hard way" (which is really not that hard) or way for the patch.

You can check which version you have currently installed by clicking the game icon and holding it (as if you wished to move it), then select the "..." symbol and the "Information" menu.

Thanks:

I would like to thank AMDM for making awesome video walkthroughs of all the HellaDeck levels and allowing me to reference them in this guide! Credits to youtuber bob101910 as well, for his great video on how to unlock They Are Looking.

The Guide is now complete so any feedback will be greatly appreciated and I hope you'll enjoy getting every trophy for Super Time Force Ultra :D!

haha have they done that on purpose STFU? more like shut the F up.

anyway does anyone know if trophies from vita and ps4 share the same list or 2 separate lists and if earned on one console automatically unlocks on the other?

Oh, I'm convinced they did it on purpose, it just fits with everything else! If you check this post from the PlayStation blog, they also considered other names like Super Time Defenders or Super Heroes In Time but these abbreviated even worse. :D

And I believe it's a shared list between PS4 and Vita, so no stacking/auto-popping.

Nice guide kinjall. I might be playing this on the PS4 than the vita. Vita does need the love. :p

Anyway that platinum description made me laugh. Didn't noticed the STFU title.

Lmfao, never noticed the abbreviation. That's pretty awesome.

I'll probably play this game sometime down the road. Nice guide.

Nice guide, very well put together.

Will be playing this game shortly. :)

Thanks you guys! :D

I figured many wouldn't notice the abbreviation, that's why I mentioned it (it really fits with the whole tone of the game). I hope you will enjoy the game, I know I did! It's a little confusing at first but really fun when you get used to it!

You have done really good job with the guide! :applause:

Awesome to see that you found my walkthrough helpfull and used it in your guide.

Thanks a lot! I had originally found another video walkthrough but it was made on Xbox One, and since you posted one here it made more sense to include yours. Not to mention it's really well done! ;)

Great guide man! I especially love the banner! :D
Haha thanks man! I wondered if people would notice, I'm glad you did. :highfive:

But can I get the platinum without a Vita?
Yes, you can play the game entirely on PS4 or on Vita, you don't need both to get the (P).

If anything, it's a little easier on PS4 because of the glitch mentioned for Gotta Save Them All! on the Vita version.

Thanks for your feedback guys!

Really great guide!

I would just add for "THE HARDEST OF CORE" trophy the fact that the levels are independent and there are no permadeath. If a character isn't rescued in a level, he will still be playable in the next one.

Thanks for mentioning this, I clarified the trophy description. ;)

"Gotta Save Them All!" seems no longer glitched on vita with patch 1.01. I got it yesterday while working for the boss vs boss trophy. I died several times and used time-outs. When I finally beat the boss, the two trophies popped.

Since the glitch was corrected in the PC version, I guess it was just a matter of time until it was fixed for Vita too. Thanks for pointing this out!

I didn't get "Don't Stop Believin" for spawning a second, third, or even fourth Journey character in the same stage as another. The trophy only popped for me when I used a Journey Guy to save a previous Journey Guy.
I must have made a mistake when I noted down the requirement when playing the game, you are totally right.

I corrected the guide, thanks again for bringing this up! ;)

For whatever reason, my Vita won't update to the 1.01 patch. Downloaded it again, still 1.00. Oh well, if need be, I'll get the glitched trophy on PS4.

Before you start the game up, in the top left should be a symbol with 2 arrows in a circle shape on the same line as the ps plus symbol. Press that and it will update to 1.01. I had the same issue:)

Tried that already. I'm not too stressed about it. I have the game on the PS4 also and if that ends up being they only trophy that doesn't pop, I'll just earn it on the PS4. When did the patch drop?

Odd question, but is patch 1.01 out only for a specific region right now? I'm not getting any indication of a patch being out for it on my Vita.

Either that or I have no idea how finding/installing patches works since all the games that I've played with patches installed them at the same the game was being installed.
