World Cup Mode on HARD made EASY.

As you may be aware you cannot edit stats for the world cup mode.

Here how you can get trophies for win the world cup, serious rugger, record try scorer, maximum points and record point scorer on HARD.

First of all pick a team other than New Zealand, it doesn't matter who you could win the world cup with anyone although it would harder if picked team such as Namibia so I would suggest picking the likes of Ireland, England, France or Australia. Make sure difficulty is set on HARD and can play 5 or 10 minute matches all these objectives are easily achievable on 5 minutes but if short once you get to semis or the final increase your minutes as needed. All trophies pop at full time once the objective has been achieved. Reason to not pick New Zealand is to achieve serious rugger trophy because you will most likely meet them on your course to the final.

Start the match with your desired team soon as it kicks off switch teams to the one your playing against. a warning message states something along the lines that switching may disable trophies believe it won't.

Now the aim of this is to concede a minimum of 4 tries during the match whilst in each the group stage while letting 'your' team beat you so I would suggest if you got possession of the ball running back to your own 5 yards line get tackled and release the ball by pressing :cross: lose possession in the ruck and let them score. As soon as one of 'your' player as achieved 9 tries during playing start aiming to concede penalties to allow you penalty taker score easy 3 pointers until they get 127+ accumulative points. Record tries and points record doesn't need to be done in one single match just accumulative of your 7 matches. After the 4th group match providing you conceded 4 tries in each will get you 'Maximum Points' trophy

this is the most important step before full time in every match just switch back (again another warning message will appear) to your main team and this will result you with the win, records all your points and tries and any trophies that has been activated.

Also you will be 7 match wins into your 10 that is required for winning streak trophy.

This is a good way to get the trophies, for dcollins22 and myself we personally didn't find it too difficult on hard mode. :p

We found it easiest to score the points ourselves, so that way we knew which player was going for the 127 points/9 tries without having to keep track of it. :)

Nevertheless, a lot of this information is in the roadmap and trophy guide already.

kudos to being able to win the world cup legitimately but before your roadmap was completed I had received numerous requests from players for help on winning the world cup like them I had struggled against most teams in World Cup Mode.

When it had come to my attention that there was a glitch (which I credited to the person who discovered it & I had a chance to test the glitch to confirm it works). It made winning the world cup with minimal effort so wrote a tip highlighting the glitch.

Your roadmap is very good guide to winning all trophies the correct way but some people also like to take shortcuts whenever possible.

Not working for me with and without the patch.

None of the world cup trophies unlocking. I only switched in and out for 1 game too lol. I did change back to my team which is weird.

I got the serious Ruger and World Cup winner using this method, but the stats are not keeping correctly for me. (Vita version)

Removed the patch and the vita version this still doesn't work...ohh well

So can anyone confirm that adding a controller and removing it before the game ends works in World Cup mode?

i can confirm it doesnt work, dont waste your time.. it just blocks you from the trophies.

Trophies like Try Haul doesn't pop off with this method :(

With and Without the patch nothing happens after i switch back and win the game on the PS4

Thanks for letting us know. I won't put this trick in the guide if it can't be confirmed to work. :)

I could never get this to work on Vita no matter what. Then I played without doing it and I realised all the time I wasted, I could have spent just playing the game, because after 1-2 matches I was really good at it. I platinumed it legit easily and never even bothered trying the trick on PS3, just beasted it straight away. It might have helped that I don't even like rugby, so I looked at it differently, a bunch of AI with predictable patterns.

How can y'all realistically rate it 2/10?

I only rented the game under the assumption it was an easy game, but it's totally the opposite for me. I'm having some proper problems winning a " hard mode" game, never mind winning (x) amount in a row an what not

Any tips would be great:D

I recommend playing as a high ranked team (such as New Zealand) against a low ranked team (such as Namibia).

Here are some tips from the trophy guide:

Tips:

  • Keep possession of the ball. By holding on to the ball, you will limit the possibility of the other team scoring points.
  • Do not give away penalties. The opposition team will kick penalty goals from anywhere in your half which will award them with 3 easy points.
  • Contest every breakdown. Get the ball out of the ruck as quick as you can to reduce the chance of the opposition stealing it.
  • Keep passing the ball. You can pretty much pass the ball to anyone in your team just before you are about to get tackled and you will keep moving forward. Just press :rs: and :r2: (:vitar: for PS Vita) in the direction you want to pass. Keeping the ball alive in this manner will reduce the number of breakdowns and the potential for the opposing team to take control of the ball.

Hope these help. :)

I can confirm, that every WorldCup trophy popped without any problem with this "change team" tactics.

Played on EU Vita version with latest patch.

I can also confirm this on ps4 version. The swap teams method in rwc mode works perfectly. Just REMEMBER TO SWAP BACK before the game ends.

No issue..... id vote it a 2 or a 3 due to the dodgy controls

I managed to get this to work on PS3, Vita and PS4, all with the latest patch versions installed. Reiterating what paulybee said ^. You have to remember to switch teams before the match ends. If you forget to and the match reaches the full time results screen, you can't quit the game and restart the match, as it will have already saved those stats. If you forget to switch back before a match ends, you'll need to restart the entire process again from beginning of a brand new RWC campaign. Found that out the hard way :o.

EDIT: Just realized how redundant most of this post was.

I'll just say this - the method outlined at the start of this thread worked perfectly for me on the PS3 disc version of the game (no update). Thanks very much for the ideas.
