Introduction

King's Quest is an ongoing episodic video game series developed by The Odd Gentlemen, published by Sierra Entertainment and distributed by Activision Blizzard. It is a new reimagining of the King's Quest series. The game takes place as King Graham shares his previous adventures with his granddaughter Gwendolyn. You play as Graham who is on his way to become a knight for King Edward, with his trusty steed Triumph and his cape of magical pockets. It plays as a point and click adventure style game without the pointing and clicking. Some of the puzzles will leave you scratching your head. Why do you need a purple badger to eat bees?

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3762/33e.jpg Misteak (B)(H):tagmissable:

Fed a steak to a Wedzel Wolf.

Missable

Do this before Purple Badger Don’t Care or you will lose the meat. After taking the piece of meat from a trap, head back into town and through the back door of the town and through the shortcut back to where the cart was; there will be shaking bushes just past the shortcut. Use the meat on the bushes and a wolf will jump out and eat you.

[ame]

[/ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3762/05a.jpg Purple Badger Don't Care (B)(H):tagmissable:

A Dyed Badger ate Bees.

Missable

Do this after Misteak because you will lose the meat. Dye the badger before entering the well or you lose the free samples. After leaving town, head right at the pumpkin patch and then down and you will come to a green bush; use the meat on the bush to obtain a badger. Head back into town and go to the potion shop and put the badger into the cauldron turning it a bright purple. Head back to the trap were you got the meat and continue to the right; keep going right until you come to a picnic table. Shake the tree and it will knock a beehive onto the picnic table and use the badger on the beehive.

[ame]

[/ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3762/bf9.jpg Dead End Dancer (B)(H):tagmissable:

Danced in the Dark.

Missable

After using the hedge trimmer to get past the thornwood and going down a well, continue until you see Achaka head down and continue to the right. King graham will narrate that there was nothing to do that way; continue anyway. You will reach a dead end where he will yell echo, practice his archery and then finally do a silly dance.

[ame]

[/ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3762/94b.jpg Opening Knight (B)(H):tagmissable:

Opened door to Achaka three times.

Missable

When you are sent through a small door in a larger door and are tasked by Achaka to move the dragon, go back to the smaller door and re-open it 3 times. Achaka will close it on you every time.

[ame]

[/ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3762/14c.jpg Helping Hat (S):tagmissable:

Saved a Picnic, Got a Wedzel Patch, Completed the Potion.

Missable

Saved a Picnic:

Where you did the Purple Badger Don’t Care trophy you will need to remove the beehive from the table with a fruit picker. After getting the eye and giving it to the knights, go back to town and go to the left of the entrance, and you will find the fruit picker to complete this task. Make sure you do this before facing Acorn in the duel of strength.

Got a Wedzel patch:

Every time you enter/exit town through the backdoor, remember to close it or you will miss this requirement. You never actually receive any patch though, just remember to keep doing this every time and you will complete this task.

Completed the Potion:

Step 1: After the eye quest, go to right of where you found the meat and then you will come to a sign, go up. Since Achaka taught you how to shoot, shoot your bow and arrow at the tree with a rope attached to it and cross. You will come upon the cart that you fixed with the bread earlier. Defeat the goblins to save the Merchant of Miracles and he will give you a leaf.

Step 2: After the eye quest, go to the notice board and take the picture of Whisper from it; after you defeat him in the Trial of Speed, get him to sign it and ask him to catch you that frog you were trying to catch for the Froggy Throat trophy. You must get the portrait before doing the duel of speed and have him sign it immediately afterward.

Step 3: Return to the potion shop and give these two ingredients to the old couple to complete this task.

The trophy will pop at the end of Chapter 1 if you have completed all of the tasks.

Guide looking good man. Only thing I suggest is adding the word Missable to the missable trophies. You have the trophy tags there but it's still good to have the word rewritten underneath the descriptions too. :)

I like that you put them in order that they appear too. That's always helpful.

As this will be free game for plus this december, I just want to know is

the chapter 2 will be on the same list ? I'm not sure I will buy this game

just to continue the rest of the chapters :( Can anybody confirm please ?

Nobody knows yet, the trophies haven't been released. Assuming by the title of the trophy list being King's Quest I am willing to bet that the other chapters will be coming out as DLC for the King's Quest list.

Thanx for the confirmation.

Based on your theory, I think I gonna wait to play this chapter 1 :(

What a pain to my statistics if the trophy list continue :(

Great guide. Just one thing of note. I did not do the Purple Badger trophy before I went and did the events with Akhaka and I could not find a way to complete the trophy without restarting. If there is a way I apologize for missing it but if not you may want to make note that it becomes missable without a new playthrough once you complete the Eye getting portion of the tournament.

What caused the being unable to do purple badger don't care? Badger no longer in inventory, unable to dye purple or beehive gone?

No once you do the well the next time you enter their shop they tell you taht the free samples are over with.

I did all the trophies before obtaining the eye, but they only said that the free samples were done after I gave them the leaf. Don't know if it was the way I did things or something.

First, just wanted to say thanks for such a great guide! So many flippin' hidden trophies....!

Second, I registered an account just to echo what Dragoons said above. I also missed the "Purple Badgers Don't Care" because I went into the well before attempting it. I didn't feel like running all the way over for the badger after completing `Misteak` (since that's like 4 steps down the road from the well), and had already bought the weed whacker from Amaya so i thought "what the heck, I'll do the well first and then go back for the badger".

Even though I had literally NEVER BEEN inside the potion shop yet, the cauldron told me there were "no more free dips" when I tried to dye my badger after coming back out of the well. It seems you definitely NEED to do this one first.

Another helpful tip: For "Save the Picnic" I couldn't figure out when exactly I could finally pick up the fruit picker because it still wasn't available after I'd given the eye to the knights. However, my friend and I both agree from our playthroughs that it seems the knight will be done with it immediately AFTER you actually knock down the beehive. Still have to make sure you take it off the table before you do the Battle of Strength, though!

Updated the guide to include information on losing the ability to dye the badger.

I personally picked up the fruit picker after giving the eye to the guards although I did knock down the berries before going into the well I thought I still saw the guard using the fruit picker after that.

Sigh, i ALSO screwed this up. Can you add that note to the bold text for 'Misteak' , not just 'Purple Badger Don't Care' ? If the guide is followed in order, then its still easy to screw up. I saw it said something about a trap so i was just waiting until i found a trap, which i didn't before i entered the well.

* Also thanks for the guide! I actually didn't mind replaying the first hour of the game, since i got to choose some different options and i found a whole minigame i missed before (tell the troll you're a troll..)

Sigh, i found another way to screw it up. I dropped the beehive, then i did the well section, before removing the hive.

After the well, the hive is gone. (even before doing the test of strength) :/ And the baker says his fiancee says yes, but his face is covered in bee stings. You have to save the picnic before the well, apparently.

I've always knocked the beehive down before the well and gotten rid of it after, I'll have to run a test later to see what happens.

EDIT: Has anyone else had problem with the beehive going away and not being able to save the picnic? I haven't had time to test it myself yet.
