Intro

Constant C is a very cool puzzle platformer where you use gravity and time fields to control the momentum of objects, as well as rotate the level you are playing at the press of a button. Trophies in this game are nice and varied with a couple for natural progression, one for collectables and the rest for exploration and bursts of pure skill. Though I have provided many videos to assist you, I would emplore anyone buying this to play through it once without even looking at a guide, the satisfaction of working out how to exit a level is immense! Enjoy the guide and I hope it helps you get 100%.

Step 1 - Story Mode/Storage Device Collection

To save what would be nearly the equivalent of a second playthrough, I recommend collecting all storage devices as you progress through the game. This not only helps things move along nicely story wise but of course saves a bunch of time. Collection of storage devices not only tell the tale of how you came to be doing what you are but they are also required to help move the story along so make sure you pick every one up before moving on.

Step 2 - Clean Up

Now that you're done, you can select any level you wish to replay. Here you can obtain any collectable you may have missed or work on the quite challenging time limit based trophies, again there are full descriptions and videos to help you clean up whatever might be left.

Complete story mode.

:tagstory:

As it says, complete story mode and you can add this to your collection. I suppose it's the closest to a platinum in terms of what you did to achieve it but there's a lot more to do so refer to other parts of this guide if you unlock this but still do not have 100% completion.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/0dd.jpg Archivist (S)

Gather all the storage devices.

:tagcollectible:

Throughout the levels of Constant C, you will come across Storage Devices (SD), which look like little thumb tacks. There are 70 in total and they will almost certainly be out of reach and require some clever platforming to get to, and to be collected you must stand in front of it until the little progress bar fills up. Remember, if you mess up just press :select: to reset the level and once it is collected, you can die without having to collect it all over again. For a written description of every SD and videos of how to obtain them, click here.

While free-falling at a high speed, change the direction of gravity and apply brakes.

This should come naturally but if you get to the end of Story Mode and this hasn't unlocked, head to Level C2-2. Jump and hit :circle: in mid-air so you land on the box and go down to land on some blades. From here, jump off and to the right, then quickly hit :square:. If you did it right, you will skid to a halt and sparks will fly from your feet along with a nice trophy.

Find the dinosaur.

You'll find this little easter egg on level F1-3. As you start, duck over to the lift and use the top to balance and activate it. Use some careful and well placed rotations to beat the lasers in your path to pick up this collectible and a nice silver trophy.

Discover the phone-microwave.

This is found in level E1-7. Take the lift across to the giant ball. Luck plays it's part here as you need to use it to dodge the lasers and have it come to a settled stop in the last narrow gap, allowing you to jump over it and pick up the item.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/948.jpg Catch Me If You Can (S)

Chase Ellie 2.0 through all the levels where she appears.

After you complete the 'D' series of levels and have collected enough storage devices (which if you're following the road map you will), you will catch Ellie 2.0 causing havoc in the main room. You will now go on a small chase through a series of rooms, none have an SD, it's just pure skill. Once you catch her, the trophy will pop. Here's a video of the whole pursuit that culminates in your trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/a11.jpg Fall Down 150 Times, Get Up 151 (S)

Exceed 150 deaths.

This should come naturally in an odd sort of way, in that you should expect to die many times over the course of the game. By all means farm it if you really want to by allowing boxes to fall on your head but this should be second nature after a while.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/da0.jpg You Only Live Once (S)

Reach the storage device location in D3-3 and complete the level without dying.

This one can be a little bit of a headache. You basically need to collect the SD (don't sweat if you have it already, just go to the area where it was, indicated by the blacked out shape of where it used to be), then reach the exit without dying. It's fairly easy to get to the SD, the trick is getting to the exit without setting the falling boxes off and getting caught on a laser. What I did was jump off and time a 180 flip that popped me bang infront of the exit door. Here's a video of this, except the vid shows him change the 180 back, then back again. I just went straight through in one go.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/6e6.jpg Fall And Miss (B)

Change the direction of gravity in the midair at least 10 times and land safely.

You can get this trophy in a few places but not through conventional means, in that you will have to be trying for this one to unlock it. I found the easiest level to use was D1-1. As soon as you start, hit :triangle:, then again, and just keep repeating this until you have done so 10 times, then come to a stop on the padded floor for a nice easy trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/149.jpg I've Got Time (B)

Collect any storage device inside the 6th door without using the second time field.

:tagmissable:

The 6th door the description is referring to is the 'F' series of levels, and the requirement is to obtain an SD without the use of the second time field. Because it is possible to get a few SD's without using it, I'll simply post a video below which details ALL collection strategies for this trophy in every level that an SD exists and simply choose whichever one you like, just ensure to NOT miss this one or you will need to do an entirely new full playthrough (I personally chose the one on F2-6).

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/950.jpg For Every Action (B)

Complete C2-2 in 5 seconds.

:tagdatetime:

As soon as you begin, jump up and hit :circle:. In freefall, press :triangle: to level out, timing it to account for the gravitational pull to take effect, then press :circle: again to drop you just by the door and hit :r2: to exit.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/855.jpg Time's A-Wasting (B)

Complete C3-3 in 5 seconds.

:tagdatetime:

For this one you need to jump into the side of the small box in such a way that you fall at the same speed, thus bypassing the laser, and flip the room 180 degrees to come to a halt near the door.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/d2b.jpg The 34th Airborne (B)

Complete C3-4 in 7 seconds.

:tagdatetime:

Even when done right, this one is tough. Jump across the platform and flip it so that you fall between the fire and the platform with the blade on it and 180, then time a :circle: and a :square: perfectly so you slide up the platform and hop up to the door with one more :square:.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/c0a.jpg Nothing Escapes Me (B)

Complete F1-5 in 20 seconds.

:tagdatetime:

When you begin this level, drop down to the left and push the lengthways elevator along to the right. Come back on yourself and 180 the room, walk along a little then 180 again to make the big block move down to block the laser and make sure you drop a time field on it before you switch the gravity up again to have the big block come down to block the last laser as you head for the exit.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2817/1de.jpg Well-Balanced Individual (B)

Complete D1-5 without falling off the ball unnecessarily.

You will encounter your first ball in D1-5, the objective is to use it to advance without harm from the lasers. For the trophy, do not jump off the ball, stay on it and when you reach an end, almost walk off the ball but tilt the room so you infact walk on top of it.
