scharn73
Overview: Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (majorly affected by your in-game upgrades) Offline trophies: 8 (5(B), 3(S)) Online trophies: 0 Approximate amount of time to 100%: 4 hours (depends how much gold you have left after the main campaign) Minimum number of playthroughs: 2 Number of missable trophies: 0 Glitched trophies: 0 Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, all levels must be completed on Hard for Superstar. Do trophies stack?: No Do cheat codes disable trophies?: N/A Introduction: This DLC is the first addition to CastleStorm on PS3/Vita. The main game consists of two campaigns: Kingdom Quest and Welcome to Vikingland. This DLC adds a third campaign named From Outcast to Savior. While there is multiplayer capability, I would recommend using single player to get all trophies. There are 3 difficulty settings: Casual, Normal, and Hard. You will be required to play on Hard in order to achieve all trophies in this DLC. The DLC story picks up where the main game left off with more adventures including two new bosses to defeat. The gameplay style is similar to the main game but has many different equipment options. The equipment upgrades from your main game do not cross over into the DLC campaign because the equipment is different. However, your gold does cross over. If you liked the main game then you will enjoy the DLC as well. Walkthrough: The first question on my mind after installing a DLC is always "where is it?" Main Menu: Single Player Select Campaign Select From Outcast to Savior This DLC is heavily affected by how many upgrades you have purchased for your equipment. I strongly suggest spending some time upgrading many different pieces of equipment to their maximum level of 10. Refer to Superstar for which equipment I recommend. You do not need to upgrade all of your equipment to level 10. How to upgrade your Equipment: Start any battle in the DLC (make sure you select a DLC battle) A confirmation screen of that battle is shown, which allows you to set the Difficulty, change your Castle or change your Equipment. Select Equipment. Purchase whatever upgrades you can afford. Upgrades only cost gold. Thankfully the main game supplies two battles that make gold farming very easy (without them it would truly take a great deal of time). The two battles are: Kingdom Quest > Ore Mine > Frenzy Battle! Welcome to Vikingland > Norsheim > Frenzy Showdown! The strategy for both is the same: Equip Tri-Stone or Apple Grenade. I recommend Tri-Stone. When the battle starts, just spam Tri-Stone as fast as you can until the battle is over. Fully upgrade Tri-Stone to level 10 with your gotten gains. Next, fully upgrade the Treasury room to increase your battle profit. Optionally you can fully upgrade the Prison room to increase your battle profit even more (providing you leave enemy troops alive). After those 3 equipment upgrades you should be finishing the battle in less than 10 seconds and be raking in between 5-10 thousand gold per battle. Repeat over and over to farm gold for your DLC upgrades. All battles may be replayed once you have played them at least once. Step 1: First Playthrough Play through the entire DLC and enjoy the story. Seven of the eight trophies are awarded just for completing all 20 battles in this DLC, they can be achieved on Casual difficulty which is very easy so you may as well. Completing these 7 story-related trophies will net you: Chip Off the Old Block Princesslessness Princess Rescued Flight to Vikingland LZ Secured Monster Killer Royal Revenge Step 2: Second Playthrough Play through the entire DLC a second time to achieve 5 stars on all battles. At this point I recommend farming gold to upgrade your equipment. Make sure that you update your DLC equipment specifically as it is not the same equipment as the main game! This is what is required to achieve 5 stars in a battle: Your total battle accuracy must be over 80%. (2 stars) You must complete the battle in Hard difficulty. (2 stars) You must complete the Bonus Objective. (1 star) After getting 5 stars in all 20 battles, you will receive: Superstar Image hosting by flickr Edited June 28, 2017 by scharn73 Editorial Sweep. Refer to Superstar if you need help. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1562/6E6.jpg Superstar Earn all the stars of the Royal Guard campaign. There are 20 Battles across 6 locations, each battle has a possible 5-star rating so this makes 100 stars necessary to achieve this trophy. The trophy will pop after successfully completing your last 5-star battle. These are the requirements for achieving 5 stars in a battle; they must all be completed at the same time in a single battle attempt: Your total battle accuracy must be over 80%. (2 stars) You must complete the battle in Hard difficulty. (2 stars) You must complete the Bonus Objective. (1 star) All of these battles are significantly easier with upgraded equipment. The maximum level is 10 for all equipment, however many of these battles can be completed with minimal or no upgrades. Regardless, you can be sure of the most ease with specific necessary equipment at level 10. (Only upgrade what you need to!) Here is the list of equipment that I specifically recommend below and should be upgraded at least a little bit: Medicine (Equipment > Projectiles) Carpet Bomb (Equipment > Projectiles) Iron Fist (Equipment > Projectiles) Bombardment (Equipment > Projectiles) Cannonball (Equipment > Projectiles) Converter Spray (Equipment > Projectiles) Brimstone (Equipment > Projectiles) Sir Gavin (Equipment > Spells) Mystery Knight (Equipment > Spells) Guardian Spirit (Equipment > Spells) Fortify (Equipment > Spells) Guardsman (Equipment > Troops) Heavy Cavalry (Equipment > Troops) Guardian Griffin (Equipment > Troops) Stone Elemental (Equipment > Troops) Armory (Equipment > Rooms) Pantry (Equipment > Rooms) Treasure Vault (Equipment > Rooms) Royal Banner (Equipment > Rooms) Imperial Architect (Equipment > Rooms) Do not use the Ballista unless you really need to. It's not the easiest to aim and can easily lower your accuracy score. Do not use the bow and arrow unless you really need to or at the very least use it at close range to ensure you hit the target. Suggestions for each of the battles (Location - Battle): 1. Tourney Arena - Mystery Knight Bonus objective: Get a streak of at least 34 kills. You have ~5 seconds between kills to maintain your kill streak. The battle only has 34 enemies so if your streak ever breaks then immediately restart. Use of your Super Attack is recommended but your regular Melee Attack is very doable as well. Do not use the hero's bow and arrow, while doable you don't want to worry about accuracy. The Ballista enemy will always stay on the sides of the screen so to take it out you will need to work your way towards it while maintaining your streak. You may want to intentionally jump over some enemies while heading for a Ballista so that you can use them to keep your hit streak going. If you are struggling then upgrade Mystery Knight. 2. Tourney Arena - Round Two Bonus objective: Get at least 10 headshot kills. Wait until targets are up close to get easy bow headshot kills. Go for the 10 headshot kills right away. Really focus on not missing while using the bow for the headshot kills to maintain 80%+ accuracy. Once you have achieved the secondary objective, complete the level using Melee or Strong Attack . If you are struggling then upgrade Mystery Knight. 3. Tourney Arena - The Finals Bonus objective: Finish the mission in 1:30. Fully upgrade Mystery Knight to level 10. Use the Strong Attack for maximum damage per attack while dodging golem attacks. 4. Tourney Arena - Beast Show Bonus objective: Intimidate the enemy by getting at least 30 hero kills. Fully upgrade Mystery Knight to level 10. Stick to Melee or Strong Attack . 5. Shiny Forest - Ambush! Bonus objective: Command your troops to make them reach 15 kills. Equip Medicine and Fortify. Upgrade Guardsman. Let your starting Guardsman take out 15 enemies. Keep Fortify on him. Point your Ballista straight down and use Medicine on the carriage. You may have to use Medicine on your Guardman once or twice. Avoid using the Ballista to kill enemy troops. Finish the level however you please (avoiding accuracy loss). 6. Shiny Forest - Magic Defense Bonus objective: Get at least 15 magic kills. Equip Guardian Spirit. Release this ability on groups of enemies to reach your 15 magic kills. Finish the level however you please (avoiding accuracy loss). 7. Shiny Forest - Free Way Bonus objective: Kill at least 4 enemies with a single shot. Use Iron Fist, Cannonball, or Brimstone to quickly achieve this bonus objective on the first group of enemies. Finish the level however you please (avoiding accuracy loss). 8. Stonecrest - Rescue Siege Bonus objective: Get at least 20 headshot kills. Use a Hero to get the 20 headshot kills with close-up shots to keep your accuracy rating. Finish the level however you please (avoiding accuracy loss). 9. Stonecrest - Going In Bonus objective: Don't make any friendly kills. Avoid killing any of your units (pretty easy to do). Use Calvary troops for their speed and attack power. Use a Hero to clean up extra enemies while your Calvary advances. 10. Stonecrest - The Big Escape Bonus objective: Be an example for your troops by making 15 hero kills. Equip Medicine and Guardian Spirit to make this level easy. Use your Hero only to achieve the bonus objective; keep him alive with Medicine if necessary. Finish the level however you please (avoiding accuracy loss). scharn73
11. Stonecrest - Vikings at the Gates Bonus objective: Make sure that no one gets through. There are quite a few ways to do this battle so use whatever equipment you are comfortable with. Upgrade your equipment as much as you can. Equip Guardian Spirit and Converter Spray at a minimum. Equip other items such as Ministars, Carpet Bomb, Iron Fist, Bombardment, Cannonball, Brimstone, Avenger Spirit, and/or Heavenly Swords. Personally I used Brimstone, Bombardment, and Cannonball. I recommend using your stronger troops such as the Siege Engineer, Heavy Cavalry, and Stone Elemental. Converter Spray is for taking out the dragons with ease. If you have high enough level Guardian Griffins they can also be sufficient. Leave Guardian Spirit for any times where you might start getting overwhelmed to take out a large chunk of enemies fast. Finish the level however you please but all enemies must be destroyed (avoiding accuracy loss). 12. Royal Airport - Heavy Cargo Bonus objective: Finish the mission in 1:00. Equip Guardian Spirit. As soon as the battle starts, use Guardian Spirit to take out the Troll. Immediately start creating Mounted Guard or Heavy Calvary troops to go get the flag. These are your fastest units. 13. Royal Airport - Gold Shipment Bonus objective: Get at least 20 headshot kills. Use a Hero to get easy bow headshot kills up close to enemies for the bonus objective. Immediately start creating Mounted Guard or Heavy Calvary troops to go get the gold, these are your fastest units. Either keep grabbing gold or destroy the enemy castle. This is another level where upgraded equipment makes all the difference. 14. Royal Airport - Airport Takeover Bonus objective: Don't destroy any rooms in the enemy castle. Use a Hero to knock down the enemy gate. Immediately start creating Heavy Calvary troops to go get the flag. These are your fastest units. If having trouble, upgrade units and/or use support spells. Do not use any projectiles. 15. Royal Airport - Warehouse Demolition Bonus objective: Make sure that no one gets through. Equip Brimstone, Cannonball, and Bombardment. Take out the castle as fast as possible using these 3 projectiles. Watch out for the turkeys! These can be a pain and must be taken out too. These are the sole reason that this may take a few retries to accomplish. I strongly suggest fully upgrading the 3 projectiles above to make this considerably easier. 16. Skyship Harbor - Clearing the LZ Bonus objective: Get at least 10 headshot kills. Full upgrade one of your heroes. Use the Hero to get easy bow headshot kills up close to enemies for the bonus objective. Finish the battle using Melee or Strong Attack . 17. Skyship Harbor - Hard Landing Bonus objective: Command your troops to make them reach 25 kills. Use either Coverter Spray or Guardian Griffin troops to take out the dragons. Use your strongest troops to get 25 kills. Personally I used fully upgraded Heavy Cavalry, Guardian Griffin, and Stone Elemental troops. Once you complete the bonus objective, destroy the castle as fast as you can with whatever projectiles you have. I used Brimstone, Cannonball, and Bombardment. 18. Skyship Harbor - Ten Deadly Minutes Bonus objective: Get at least 20 frenzy kills. This is a difficult level so upgrade everything you use as high as you can get them. Equip Iron Fist and Guardian Spirit at a minimum. Allow the wolves to reach your gates so that you can easily attack them with your Ballista to rack up your streak count to activate Frenzy mode. Once you are in Frenzy mode, aim your Iron Fist down towards the ground. It will slide along the ground and, if upgraded enough, take out all enemies it collides into as it slides along. After the bonus objective is complete, stop using projectiles to keep your accuracy up. Use your strongest troops and Heroes to survive. Use Guardian Spirit to take out massive amounts of troops. If you are still struggling, try upgrading the following Rooms in your Keep: Pantry, Armory, Royal Banner, Treasure Vault, and Imperial Architect. 19. Bladgard Icefields - Reunion Bonus objective: Finish the mission in 4:00. Fully upgrade Sir Gavin to make this easy on yourself. Use the bow to hit the single glowing yellow spot on the dragon to make it retreat. After it retreats, run to the other side. When it returns, its back will be to you. You must hit one of the 3 glowing yellow spots on its spine. Repeat this process 2 more times. You may have to practice this one a bit, but with a fully upgraded Hero it is not too bad. 20. Bladgard Icefields - Vengeance Bonus objective: Finish the mission in 2:30. Fully upgrade your Hero to make this easy on yourself. The mission goal is to take out the Boss so focus your Hero attacks on him when he is present. (He has an exclamation point over his head) All I did was spam my Melee attack. If you are still struggling with any of these battles or simply prefer videos, then there is a full YouTube playlist by Joey Houlahan: . While these videos are for a different version of the game, the strategy is still valid for this version of it. Edited July 20, 2015 by Terminator Editorial Sweep.
