shrapx
I ordered the box set of Zillon. I have been curious about it ever since I saw a few episodes over the air waves back in '96. Also got the first collection of Dairugger XV. I need to get the other two, but I wanna watch that too. Been awhile since I enjoyed a giant robot show. shrapx
I completely forgot someone was making a Castlevania like Record of Lodoss war game. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-08-02/record-of-lodoss-war-side-scrolling-game-launches-on-steam-in-spring-2020/.149621 I doubt this will be any good... But if it comes out in English I might check it out.

Plus Super Robot Wars already spoiled it. I also wanna watch Dancouga on CR. Gonna put that on my never ending todo list.

shrapx
Hey can anyone here translate Japanese to English? I managed to get my hands on a rare soundtrack for the Guyver movie, but I can't figure out one of the track names: Track 6, ショーンの危機、殖装へ After some searching, I interpret it to come out Sean's Crisis, tentacle porn or something like that. But what it was from was wean Sean turns into the Guyver. Apparently that last bit refers to tentacle porn (though not translated directly, just looking into what it meant) I'm thinking it's just Sean's Crisis, To Transform or something like that, since it IS a Biological armor... Maybe Sean's Crisis, Bioboost I'm not sure about track 8, 調製槽 either... Here is a romanization, but still in Japanese. https://www.discogs.com/Matthew-Morse-Guyver-Original-Soundtrack/release/6371153 I don't speak Japanese, I have to rely on the net. Any help is appreciated. Thoughts? I find it amusing I had to come full circle, a Japanese manga interpreted as a US movie, whose soundtrack could only be imported from Japan... Mike0284
Huge delivery from Mandarake. Both seasons of Love Live! & the movie with the Amazon exclusive storage box for about $110 before DHL shipping had to screw me.
KillerBEA
Finally finished watching Made In Abyss good god that shit gets brutal, and it supposedly gets "worse" I need to watch the movie which is a sequel to the first season of the anime. Finally saw My Hero Heroes Rising, resounding meh even though the final fight was amazingly animated. Started watching Chihayafuru on the recommendation of my coworker. Only on episode 4 but it seems really good.. Planning on starting the Chainsaw Man manga this week.
Sammy00
I've never been a fan of the anime genre. Moreover, I treated him as lightly as possible, believing that these "cartoons" are designed exclusively for children, maximum adolescence. Oh gods, I've never been so wrong. Once I decided to watch Death Note. I was interested in the description and rating. And what's the difference that it is 2006 - it's never too late to discover masterpieces for yourself. So I thought and launched the first episode ... Death Note is a story about what can happen if such a magical artifact is in the hands of a genius, sociopath and psychopath with a God complex. Agree, the idea is very interesting and unusual! From this series my love for anime began.

GearsOfTheDead
Well, as I just said in the other anime thread, I quit anime 10 years ago because I got so into gaming. At the time I really had limited access to it. It was either buy a DVD/Blu ray for $20-30, rent from the limited selection at a comic shop 15 miles away. So, I gave up anime, basically. I just randomly decided to get back into it due to apps like Crunchyroll and Funimation. So far, I'm realizing how much I've missed anime. I thought maybe I outgrew it, thankfully I didn't. Right now I'm rewatching Naruto from ep. 123, Samurai Champloo, and Akame ga Kill. I have so many series in watch lists. Paying that small fee to just watch without commercials was a good idea. 😁

Naps
Forgot about this thread. I think it was in here that I found out about Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time which I eventually got on BluRay - Summer Wars also came to my attention because of the latter and all were really good animes to watch. I've got quite an old collection of anime on DVD which most of them I've onle seen once. Now with Netflix streaming a lot of the classics from Akira to Death Note, Steins Gate... and even exclusives like the fully CGI rendered Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045, I'm a huge fan of Masamune Shirow (I have the DVD sets including the first ever anime and the manga)... It's quite amazing to see how anime and manga have become mainstream pop-culture in the west. I've been to a Manga マンガ exhibit back in August 2019 at the British Museum which the kiddos and I only found out by accident - we were there to see ancient Rome and Egypt exhibitions for their school paper. There was an impressive collection on display featuring original artwork (pre-press) from famous Japanese artists like Inoue Takehiko and others. It would be great to visit museums again and I'd like this exhibit to return. Entrance was free for children under 16 so if you have 8 kids, you'd only have to pay for yourself and the missus... 8 kids under 16... must have been a bunny in your past life if this was the case. I'm also bit worried that my teenage kids might get curious about my collections cabinet and find out that I've got Ninja Scroll and that naughty Mazinkaiser hidden at the back of the drawer. What are they gonna think of their dad? /eeeep Edited July 28, 2021 by Naps v1.2 added links to corroborate the narrative...
