5/10 After reading the guide I thought it would have been a very easy game, but it took me a lot of tries, specially for "Max Pet Upgrades" I had to reach lv 59 and I couldn't upgrade anything except pets and the bosses at the end of lv 50 were really difficult. The other trophies are pretty easy but IMO you can't do all of them in 1 playthrough

I agree. At minimum it's a 5. I'm trying to do the max upgrades now and don't see how it's possible. I've tried a few different strategies and still no luck. Most the money you get goes to buying shields. You need over $60k worth of upgrades and each one is $5k. I even started abusing the saves and it didn't make it any easier...

Hey mate, basically I upgrade from the beginning the pets and nothing else except the main weapon 3 or 4 times, I suggest to never buy the shield if it costs 1000$ (so basically only 2) and use granades on bosses (the 2 at lv 50 were a pain in the ass) and on assault levels. Later if I can I ll send you the pictures of my loadouts from my ps4 if you are playing there.

Interesting. I would always keep it at 3 so maybe thats part of my problem lol...

I went with a 3.. the game isn't hard as you can easily quit to main menu and retry any stage without losing anything if you mess up. However, the main issue I had with the game is that EVERYTHING blends into the background which really messed with my eyes and I had to turn all of the stupid screen effects off in the options menu to even be able to play it. I recommend turning all of that stuff off as well.

Most of the levels didn't bother me but there were some in particular that made it really hard for me to keep track of projectiles. I usually don't have that kind of problem either. So I ended up shutting all those effects off too.

I was thinking the max pet trophy was harder than it actually was. However it was just my fault for going to level 70 and upgrading the wrong things :p. I started over at level 31 and easily got the pet upgrades when I finished level 59. The fact that you can restart every level if needed is what really makes it easy.

So im gonna go with 3/10.

I'll give it a 4 purely for the difficulty curve seeming to be quite off. It's quite tricky until you get enough - and the right - upgrades. Plus the HUD and the background design make it really hard to keep track of what's gone on. The text at the bottom left which covers a large part of the playing space and which is completely irrelevant was my favourite.

After I came here and learned about the save trick, the last trophy [upgrading all the pets] became pretty easy to do. Before that I would've given it at least a 4 because man that was frustrating trying to reach each 10 checkpoint [for some reason the 4th boss is so much harder to get to than the ones after it]. But, since you can just exit and come back to a level without losing anything... 2/10 for me.

I give Ultratron a high 3. I am not very good with Shmups, but as I progressed I began to feel this was less of a shmup than an arcade shooter once you get the handle on what shoots back at you (not nearly as many shoot at you as I thought) and how to strafe the projectiles those few groups send your way (usually just ducked around and circled them to focus on taking them out before anything else)

I give it a high 3 because I played the first half on the Vita and Level 31 to 40 are quite difficult to grasp everything on screen with the red background. The PS4 made visibility noticeably better but the twin stick shooting I felt wasn't as responsive, so there is a compromise on each console. Also, there is a good deal of resource management from the beginning that requires you to save your money for pets and not keep refilling your shields. A few droid power upgrades, the auto-bomb and quantum shift can help get you through some tough spots and there is always the quit/continue if you get it before the game over screen.

A tip someone else mentioned and is good to live by: two shields and at least two of your three bombs for every level, if you lose too much, restart - don't waste that precious coin, save it for the 40K+ you need for the max pet upgrades.

In the end my final note I think will be a 3... if you abuse the crosssave option. When you die, they reset your advances from last checkpoint (levels 1/11/21/...so on) but you can exit and save there after each successful level. So if you die later in that level, you can use your crossload option.

As I said around this thread, for some reason the ps4 version has a richer palette of colours than ps3 so if you have visibility problems to see wtf is killing you on the ps3 version try the ps4 version and you could get a surprise.

Voted 4. This could have been at least half decent but there's bunch of small but crucial little error's that just make this a pile of shit.

Pro tip is to avoid spenting money on shields and bombs (especially early on). You can easily just drive yourself in to a corner if you don't have the right upgrades when you face the last boss (40lvl)

It wasn't overly hard to get all upgrades but it was still frustrating experience. I kept my spending at minium and got the last upgrade on level 67. I could have gotten it earlier but i bought extra fire power to beat the level 60 boss and that held me back a little.
