Jiwan01
Aaru's Awakening - Roadmap and Trophy Guide by Jiwan01 Overview: Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (Trophy Difficulty Rating) Offline trophies: 15 (13(B), 1(S), 1(G)) Online trophies: 0 Approximate amount of time to 100%: 5-10hrs but this is highly skill dependent (Estimated Time to 100%) Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 Number of missable trophies: None because all levels are replayable. Glitched trophies: No specific trophies are glitched but there is a potential issue, see here for details: LINK Does difficulty affect trophies?: No difficulty settings Do trophies stack?: Yes Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats available Introduction and Controls: Introduction: Aaru's Awakening is a hand-drawn, fast-paced, 2D action platformer. The game puts players in charge of Aaru, a mythical creature with two unique abilities; teleportation and charging. There are 4 domains (worlds) in the game: day, dusk, night and dawn. Each domain consists of 5 levels, the final level being a boss. You will unlock the boss level after completing the other 4 levels so there is a total of 20 levels across 4 domains as well as 3 tutorial levels. The first domain you will unlock is the day domain after completing 3 tutorial levels. All trophies in this game are of 2 types: Achieving a certain class of medals on every level in a particular domain, e.g. earning Bronze medals on every level in the day domain will unlock the Day Bronze trophy. There are 12 trophies of this type Achieving a certain class of medals on every level of every domain, i.e. on every level in the game. For instance, earning a Bronze medal on every level of every domain will unlock the World Bronze trophy. There are 3 trophies of this type (World Bronze, World Silver and Champion of Dawn). These will be the last trophies you unlock Each level has 3 medals: Bronze, Silver and Gold. You are awarded a bronze medal simply for completing a level but Silver and Gold have timed requirements. The Trophies stack so achieving Gold medals in every level on a particular domain will unlock the trophies for achieving bronze and silver medals on that domain too. The Time taken to achieve 100% will be heavily skill dependent. In the Trophy Guide you will find a video walkthrough for each level, which shows you how to complete every level within the required time frame. Alternatively, you can use the following playlist which contains walkthroughs for every level: Controls: I have included this section here in case you find the control scheme to be confusing or ambiguous. By default the controls for the game are as follows: - Jumping and charging. To jump, Aaru must be on some sort of ground/platform. Charging is essentially a fast dash. To charge, you must be mid-air, for instance, pressing after jumping will cause Aaru to charge. - Firing Aaru's orb. This will cause Aaru to fire an orb in the direction of the pointer (see ). Holding will cause Aaru to fire an orb with less force. - Teleporting. This will cause Aaru to teleport to the position of the orb. The synergy of firing the orb and teleporting ( and ) is central to the game. - Movement. This is used for controlling Aaru's position (while mid-air too). - Aiming. This will control a pointer and Aaru's orbs will be fired in the direction of the pointer. Walkthrough: Step 1: Complete the story, achieving a Gold medal on every level To earn 100% of the trophies in this game, all you are required to do is achieve a gold medal on every level, with the exception of the 3 tutorial levels. All levels are replayable, so there are many different routes to 100%. However, after completing a level for the first time, I advise you to go for the Gold medal straight away (assuming you didn't get the gold medal on your first attempt), this is because you will be familiar with the layout of the level. This will also be good practise for subsequent levels, which will be harder. While some areas of the game are indeed challenging and even frustrating, the gold medal time requirements are very lenient and you are not required to complete flawless speedruns to achieve gold medals. Practise and perseverance is the key. Edited April 28, 2015 by Terminator Editorial Sweep.

lesk8vaincra
I began to play today and i find this game very fun . I finished the two first world without major problem. I read everywhere that the game was hard, but up to now it is absolutely not. I got gold on the first 2 worlds about an hour after i began playing. If the game continues the same way, i think that i could 100% it in much less than 5 hours.

lesk8vaincra
The thing is... it doesn't. I just finished the third world in 53 minutes. It wasn't that much harder, but i lost 10 minutes (2 tries over 5 mins) on the boss. Until now, i have been able to achieve gold on my second or even first try on most levels. Only 2 of them took me 3 tries. i'll play the last world tomorrow. Too bad this game is so short Edited June 4, 2015 by lesk8vaincra
Aela
I started playing Aaru's Awakening last night. The first set of levels (day levels) are pretty much easy and will fool you into thinking the game is going to be an easy 100%. But I certainly wouldn't say it is... As you progress further into the game, the levels get a little bit more difficult, but the last set of levels (dawn levels), I'd say is were all the difficulty is at. I spent over 30 minutes trying to get a gold medal on dawn level 4 because I just had so much trouble with the last section The final boss is just such a tedious pain in the ass, too. The first time I beat it, the application closed due to an error, so all but 2 trophies popped (I got the trophy for all the gold medals, but not the silver and bronze ones), so I had to beat the boss again for them to pop Subjectively, I rated this game a straight 7/10. I did NOT find this easy, at all

I did NOT find this easy, at all I just finished the game. First of all, i wanted to tell that my game also crashed right after the boss. Fortunately, my trophy popped correctly (i earned them on the XMB and the system couldnt register the screenshot but whatever). I finished the last world in ~1h15 and yes, the last level is pretty hard. But still, 7/10 is way too high. If you had to play the level without dying, it would be true, but since you can die a lot (and the timer is REALLY forgiving...), the game is nowhere as hard as that. For the last part of the last level, you have to shoot a teleporting ball as soon and as high as you can. You basically just have to shoot a second ball to be able to finish it in a matter of seconds. Jumping from stone to stone is way harder. I think that this particular section sumarize the game. There is always multiple ways to pass an obstacle: hard ones, and easier ones. The only hard thing about this game is to find the easy way to pass the obstacle. Once you found it, you are ready for an easy win . It took me around 3~4 hours total, and as i already said, most of the level have i golded on the first or second playthrough. I uploaded my playthrough of the third level from Dawn: At 2'30 you can see an example of "easier" way to pass an obstacle. I didnt realized that the platform was able to move so i luckily discovered that it was easier to just shoot a ball, wait a bit, then teleport. You avoid 4 obstacle easily as you can see, i died a lot, but i still managed to reach the end in less than 200 seconds. lesk8vaincra
Also, i would like to point out that the ennemies can be easily killed. I don't know why but i forgot that during the third world. Killing ennemies is WAY easier than avoiding them at some part of the game. Especially with the laser shooting ants. edit: hm, i just noticed that the game is cross buy and has a separate trophy list. I'll do it again on PS3 then Edited June 5, 2015 by lesk8vaincra

Yes, after the application closed, trophies started to pop on the XMB, but unfortunately 2 hadn't. I beat the boss the 2nd time a lot faster than the first, I was just happy the remaining 2 trophies had popped I'd like to say I'm normally used to challenging games, but this game for me was around 6-7/10 in terms of difficulty - I've never played anything like it before. I'm aware it may have been easier for you, but this is subjectivity And I actually did the same as you at 2:30 on your video Edited June 5, 2015 by Aela
