Basically, the smokescreen decreases characters' range of vision dramatically, it also reduce the Hit Rate so make sure you don't let the enemies run away since they are not available on the map. Please take note that even you pass through the enemies but you can't see them until your character is on standby, your character also lose their action if they move to same enemy's spot. If your character are pretty strong (around level 70+), then you don't have to destroy Obelisks and Cursed Stone Pillars. In case you want to destroy them, you can't use the wide-ranged magic attack to destroy multiple Pillars since there is a Absorbing Crystal next to them; therefore, bow users are good characters to handle this task. You should destroy the Wine Barrel because it may damage the nearby enemies then you can see them as well. Don't forget that Charis's Charm ability works well on these monsters. Wasp enemies have really high AVD, thus you should use magic to kill them. Typhon is similar to the boss Hydra which you fought in Stage 7: Leon Mines so you may already know its attack patterns. If you can't reach Iron Golem on Southwest, then you should move your character closer to the corner and it will make him move toward to your side. Tanit's Astra Eos has a really long range, and it's also a deadly magic attack which can reach that Iron Golem easily. About the treasure chest at center of the map, bow user's Snipe can collect it or you can teleport one unit who can use magic attack to the ground then he/she can collect that treasure chest. Within 13 Turns, you need to eliminate Gold Dragon which has Abraxas's Leader Skills that reduce every character's stats by 50% within its range. Besides, most of the enemies are also dangerous because they have pretty high stats so your characters may not kill them within a Turn. First of all, make sure you equip the skills which are helpful in fighting against Dragon enemies on every character whom you plan to use in this battle (I'm pretty sure already know what skill they are). During the 1st few Turns, you should try to eliminate most of enemies who are at center area but make sure your characters do not stay closer to center of the map, otherwise, Gold Dragon will say "hi" to your team. Since the enemies have high stats and there is also Turn limit, you should use their super skill which consume 2 Chain Stocks in order to finish them within a Turn. Bow user's Snipe is good at destroying the Pillars, let Elissa be a tank-based character to withstand the Gogmagog's attack then use her Chain Stock skill to kill this big guy. Since you can't come closer to the boss due to its leader skill; therefore, you should use 3 Ranged units's C.S. Skills (Aemilia, Dion, and Daphnis) and Joint Attack (such as Divine Judgement) to eliminate the enemy leader. To lure the Dragon out of his place, you should sacrifice one weak Melee unit by placing him/her at center of the map (you should save the game before attempt to do this because the Dragon may be lazy and use magic attack to kill that character). As long as your Ranged units are at level 99 (SKL 99) and have good weapon then you can kill it easily. Keep in mind that Gold Dragon will move to center area of the map (see the 2nd pic) in Turn 6. About the treasure chest, it's the hardest task since the enemies who guard these chests are stronger than the enemies at center area. You also need to use floating characters (such as Kleito or Torte) and using teleport spell to move other characters to the other side which may be dangerous and also take a lot of Turn to do. The Northeast and Northwest enemies tends to attack your characters (center area) if you attack the Dragon; therefore, take your chance and move floating characters to reach the Northern treasure chests. If the battle is too tough then I recommend you try to get Southern treasure chests which contain Armor stuff then kill the Dragon. During the 1st Turn, you should try to reduce Ramphorhynchus's HP by using Snipe technique then you can kill them in next Turn. Let the characters stay at their position to consume apple or use magic to refill their Chain Stock gauge. Do not move out of current area because they enemies tend to rush to your side; therefore, just wait to take them out one by one. If the enemies are too tough, you can use super technique which consumes 2 C.S. gauges to kill them in 1 Turn. Make sure you do not destroy the Fences because there are trap floor underneath them. In case of you already destroy the Fence and your character will move on those floors, you can press :triangle to change their direction so they can avoid that path. Bow users' Snipe can kill Merrow enemies in a single Turn, the most dangerous enemies are those Krakens so do not hesitate to use Chain Stock skill to eliminate them. Since you already beat this enemy leader during the course of the main game; therefore, you may know its leader skill which prevent your character's mobility within its range. Ranged units can use Chain Stock skills freely while Melee units must get close to it in order to perform C.S skill. When you kill most of the enemies, take your time to refill the C.S. gauge then sacrifice one character (tank-based character) to block King Kraken's path since it can move anywhere. King Kraken's HP exceeds 10K, but it's pretty weak compared to Gold Dragon from previous level, so you won't have trouble in killing it. For the treasure chest from both sides, you can reach them with Snipe technique easily. Do not worry if that Kraken will block bow users' path since the Wine Barrels also block its path. First of all, you should use Daphnis's Snipe to kill Holy Element because it may kill your characters in next Turn, then move Elissa and 1 more Melee unit (such as Hamil) to protect him from Gogmagog. Sasquatch tends to reduce characters' HIT while Sabertooth tries to destroy Quadriga if you didn't kill it in the 1st Turn, don't worry, it can't destroy Quadriga within a Turn. In 2nd Turn, Orchid Queen is too lazy to greet your characters as long as you don't place any character nearby it. Use Elissa and Hamil's Chain Stock skill to kill Kukulkan, then let other character to kill Gogmagog. Orchid Queen may move to Healing seal during Turn 3 or 4; therefore, you should ready to use Tarte and 1 Melee unit's Chain Stock skill on it, make sure you don't use magic attack because Orchid Queen has really high RST. After you clear the 1st area, take your time to refill full Chain Stock gauge. When your characters are ready, then divide them into 2 groups to move forward from both site. You should collect treasure chest and destroy the Pillars at same time by using long ranged magic (such as high tier Wind spell) while moving to 2nd area. The enemies will come to you depending on which side crosses the bridge first. If you place Elissa on Defensive seal then she can withstand the enemy's attack while other characters can back her up from behind by using magic or arrow attack. Before you start the battle, you should equip skills which are needed to fight against Dragon-type enemy efficiently on some Melee and Bow users. Please take note that if your characters stay behind the Defensive seal then they will be fine since Silver Dragon's magic can't reach them. First of all, you need to eliminate Lich and Musician because they may destroy Quadriga in next Turn by using Ranged units or high magic attack. Teleport Daphnis to the right wall, then attack Jahan with Chain Stock skill. If he can't kill Jahan within 1 Turn and already be attacked, then you can move him to the edge of the wall where Charis can heal him with Great Healing spell. After Daphnis kills Jahan, you need to move him to the Northeast to collect the treasure chest and stay here (keep consuming healing item to refill Chain Stock gauge). If you already eliminate Jahan from the left side, then teleport Dion to the left wall. There are only 2 enemies left on the outer wall (Musician and Orcus Magi), you can kill them in 2 Turns. Make sure Dion or Daphnis doesn't stay close to them since they can use magic attack which may kill one of Bow users. Echidna and E-Golem will move to Noa's area later, however, they can't reach your characters. It's up to you to kill them or not since they may drop good materials. In case of you want to eliminate them, you can debuff their RST then use Kleito's Philosophia to kill them. It may take 10-12 Turns to kill them, don't worry because you will have enough Turn to kill Silver Dragon since it only takes 2-3 Turns to finish it. After you finish your goal by eliminating every mage units then you need to buff Dion's Move then skip this Turn. After that Daphnis will destroy the barrel with his Snipe technique from right side which will damage over 5000 HP on Silver Dragon. You MUST finish the battle before the Turn reaches 26; therefore, you only have 25 Turns to kill all the enemies. Welcome to the last stage of Bonus Dungeon, you tried your best to reach this stage. The map is pretty small so you can't stay on standby and wait for the enemies come to; therefore, you need to take action first. As you can see on the map that there is a big guy who has ???? HP. His HP is actually around 25000, he also has really high ATK and DEF so you must have at least 9 characters who have full Chain Stock gauge in order to use C.S. skills. Since the objective requires to kill all the enemies, so your task doesn't focus only on the big guy, but you also need to take care 2 dangerous enemies (Pollux) and Crystal Golem. Before you start the battle, make sure you already equip good skills to fight against specific type of enemies. I prefer Hunting Lore and Hunting Lore EX (the skill's effect is stackable), you don't have to equip Beast Tamer EX on every characters except tank-based ones because they still die anyway, so focus on ATK only. You also don't forget to equip Solid Protection skill on tank-based characters because the big guy will inflict Confuse bad status when he attacks them, since they can withstand the attack; therefore, the chance that they may be confused is pretty high. Please take note that Pollux can reflex the same magic spell on whoever use it on him, so don't ever attack him with magic but you still need to debuff his DEF anyway. After you are done with preparation for the battle, you should try to eliminate the weak enemies within 1 Turn by using super technique, as long as your characters don't move to the center area then Pollux can't attack them (see 2nd pic). Let Elissa and Golyat block Crystal Golem and Gogmagog's path since they can withstand their attack. It may take 3-4 Turns to finish all the enemies except the enemy leader and big guy. Take your time to refill every character's C.S. gauge, then move one of units to the corner of the wall (see 3rd pic). Pollux will teleport to center area but he can't attack any of your characters since most of his strong spell are disable after moving. Debuff Pollux's DEF, then move at some characters to kill him, it may take at least 3 characters' C.S. skills. You can see in the 3rd pic, I have Dion who stands next to 2 Melee characters, then use his magic to buff their's Move so they can reach Pollux within 1 Turn. Now you have to say hello to the big guy after you defeat his leader. When he moved out of his place (see 4th pic), there are 2 Wine Barrels which you can destroy to inflict damage on him. Each barrel costs him 2500 HP; therefore, you should lure him to the barrel then destroy it by using a Ranged or Mage unit. Keep in mind that, you need to save the game regularly because this big guy always tries to find a good path to kill many characters as possible. If you can destroy 6 barrels while he's neary them, then you already damage 15000 HP on him so just use Melee unit's C.S. skill to take care the rest of his HP. Whenever one character already performs their C.S. skill, you need to sacrifice them since they will block the big guy's path and you can summon another character in next Turn. Don't worry if you see your characters only deal 1 HP on him during the Chain Stock combo, because it happens if your characters' ATK is lower than his DEF, however, the C.S. skill still deal at least 1000 HP (if you already craft some good weapon). Please take note that he won't drop any item he kills himself if he attacks your characters and a barrel next to them while his HP is below 2500. ThanatosNinja2
Since the Guide doesn't tell you how to prepare for the Bonus Dungeon, I'd like to share what I found: this message board contains all equipment that can be farmed after clearing the initial 5 floors of Hypogeum Ruins (credit for compiling this list goes to the people on the message board of course). What I decided to get were Fragarach, War Elf's Crown (which can actually be gotten after clearing just 5 floors of the dungeon and no need to set the game on Hard to farm this stuff), Bow of Esus (this bow is so powerful that I didn't need to craft any other bows, since I've also decided to use Dion only as a bow user), Underworld Staff (it's great equipped on Kleito since it has Double Time skill), Laevateinn (equipped on Saul for the remaining 45 floors without any need to craft another greatsword for him), Earth Gauntlet and Light Armor. They are all powerful pieces of equipment except for War Elf's Crown which you may ignore. Unlike many people say, there is no need to level up the WHOLE party for this dungeon, not even for the last floors. I had Hamil, Tarte, Dion, Enneads, Kleito, Elissa, Laelius and Saul (along with Noa and Quadriga lol) for the entire duration of the dungeon. Some floors will let you deploy 10 people, some 8 (when that was the case I removed Enneads and Laelius), some 12 (yes, in those cases I've only deployed 10 out of 12 people and I still beat the dungeon, so no need to level up everyone). Skill level 99 is very helpful and doesn't take too much effort even without DLC characters, whereas level 99 isn't that useful and requires more effort (85 is enough and you will earn EXP on the later floors and some members should also get to 99 by the last floor). Crafting was quite the pain since the game doesn't tell you what weapon you need to craft more powerful weapons. What I did was trying to buy the most expensive stuff from the shop and see if they were the required weapons. Sometimes they were, sometimes they weren't. Even now that I Platinumed the game twice I still can't figure out what weapons are needed in 85% cases lol. I can't stress enough the importance of opening as many chests as possible during your trip in the Hypogeum Ruins. You'll find a lot of materials and strong weapons as well (I never needed to farm materials in the Hypogeum Ruins nor in the Free Stages; what I found along the way was more than enough). What I crafted were Melqart's Sword+5 (Hamil), Tanit's Greatsword+6 (Tarte), Sephirot Staff (Enneads), Holy Arondight (Laelius), Miraculous Armor (very useful, equipped it on Tarte) and God-Beast Fang (Noa). Didn't craft any hammers for Elissa and I sticked with the Gaia Crusher at the beginning until I found the Yagrush in a later floor. Also, in the JP version I wasn't able to craft the Holy Arondight because I was missing a material so poor Laelius had to stick with Fragarach until I found the Sword of Findias near the end of the dungeon xD As you can see, very few crafts are required unless you really want to be op and use everyone. As for the dungeon itself, it was hard on some floors but overall it wasn't that bad. I had troubles on Floors 40, 41, 42 (this one relying almost totally on luck with that fucking Teleport ), 49 and 50 (Spriggan Vest might help on these 2 floors since the bosses have too many HP and they can wipe out your party with ease; equipping the Spriggan Vest on Saul did the trick for me since he doesn't need to move much for his Festival of Blood and he has Double Action too; getting 75% physical damage reduction was great). Lastly, a little mistake on Floor 50: Pollux won't actually move to the center if you place a character in that corner: he will come at you during Turn 5; Hekatonkheires will start moving during Turn 8 (if I recall correctly) unless you get too close when killing Pollux. That's it lol sorry for the long post. Hope it helps someone!
fisty123
Since the Guide doesn't tell you how to prepare for the Bonus Dungeon, I'd like to share what I found: *Snip* While I know it is an old post, this information is much Welcomed. Been sitting here getting all the lower level members up to 99 and have so long to go. I already have Enneads, Daphnis, Noa and Arawn on lv 99 from my hard playthrough but the rest range from 65 to 20. After reading this and a few other posts comments elsewhere I am going to ditch the 5 party members in the 20 - 30 lv range and focus on the members (everyone else) who sit between 65 and 54)
