PapasitoPenguin
http://i.imgur.com/4GjDZGa.png Welcome to the Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix HD Mission Guide. This guide will detail the most efficient and easy ways to complete every mission in Jiminy's Journal. Considering that there are many missions to be completed, this is no simple task. The end goal of this guide is to help you obtain the Conqueror trophy but you will obtain many other trophies first on your way to completing this section of Jiminy’s Journal. These trophies include One-Winged Angel , To Rule Them All , Mushroom Master , Rookie , Novice Hero , Artisan Hero , True Hero , Coliseum Competitor , Coliseum Star , Hero of the Coliseum , Coliseum Champion , Minigame Maniac and Struggle Champion . This guide is directed towards players who are near or at the end of the game, since many of the strategies outlined in this guide require Keyblades and abilities that are only obtained towards the end (especially depending on which weapon you chose as Roxas at the beginning of the game). However, don't let that stop you from attempting the missions whenever you want. It's your game so have fun with it and if you're having difficulty, try the strategies I outline in this guide. Table of Contents 1. Twilight Town: 1, 2 2. Radiant Garden: 1, 2, 3 3. Beast's Castle: 1 4. Olympus Coliseum: 1, 2 5. Agrabah: 1, 2 6. 100 Acre Wood 1 7. Atlantica: 1 8. Halloween Town: 1 9. Port Royal: 1 10. Space Paranoids: 1 11. The Land of Dragons: 1 12. Disney Castle: 1 13. Timeless River: 1 14. The World That Never Was: 1 Twilight Town Event Quests Inspect the Absent Silhouette Lexaeus' Absent Silhouette appears in the Sandlot after Sora's second trip to Twilight Town. Lexaeus is a rather simple Organization member to defeat. His gimmick is that he powers up when left alone long enough and with his strength power ups come new attacks. Always stay on him and don't let him power up. Reflega is your friend here, especially if Lexaeus powers up. It will cause considerable damage to him if you time it correctly. Always cast it when you are near Lexaeus and don’t be afraid to spam it, especially if he uses his stalagmite attack. All things considered, Lexaeus is one of the more simple Organization XIII battles. Note: For the Organization XIII battles, make sure that Sora has every of his item slots filled with Ethers (or Elixirs if you want to use them up). Fill up Donald and Goofy's item slots with Ethers as well (not Elixirs). Sora will be your main damage dealer in these battles so it would be wise to unequip Donald and Goofy's damage-dealing abilities that use up MP so that they don't waste Ethers on each other. It is up to you whether or not to unequip Donald Cure. I found that having a backup healer helped but be warned that your teammates will be using up their Ethers on Donald and not you so of course having the Once More, Second Chance and Leaf Bracer abilities equipped is required. Mail Delivery Try againComplete within 14 seconds This task can be chosen at the Help Wanted board in Market Street: Station Heights. It is a quick and easy task. On your way down the hill, mash the button to deliver mail to the first three targets. Grind on the rail and jump automatically at the end to deliver mail to the fourth target. Then turn a sharp right and deliver mail to the fifth target on the ground. Cargo Climb Try againComplete within 15 seconds This task can be chosen at the Help Wanted board in Market Street: Station Heights. It can be a pain without the right abilities. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade, the Negative Combo and Aerial Finish abilities and unequip any Air Combo Plus abilities. You want to hit the cargo by jumping and then attacking right away. The finisher will cause the cargo to go up the hill quickly. With this setup, you should be able to get the cargo up the hill in ten seconds or less. Grandstander Try againComplete with 100 or more points This task can be chosen at the Help Wanted board in Market Street: Station Heights. Simply equip the Berserk Charge ability or the Fatal Crest Keyblade and unequip MP Haste. When the task begins, cast Curaga then go to town on the balloon. Poster Duty Try againComplete within 30 seconds This task can be chosen at the Help Wanted board in Market Street: Tram Common. It is the most annoying of all tasks in Twilight Town. Make sure you have Aerial Dodge and Glide equipped, preferably both at level 3. The reason for this is that performing an aerial dodge before gliding gives you a lot of momentum and your glide will be much faster. Follow these steps to get twenty posters within thirty seconds: - Right away, put up the poster behind Sora. - Glide to the green building to the right with the lone poster. - Put up the three poster on the left side of the building. - Glide to the three posters on the wall above the blue roof. - Follow the perimeter of the marketplace while putting up posters. - On the last poster before the corner, glide to the left onto the roof of the shop beside the train. You can get onto the roof easily if you aerial dodge before gliding (which you should always be doing anyway). - Put up two posters, then three posters on the bottom (you should put up these five posters automatically if you keep mashing ). - Quickly glide to the bulletin board in the distance, put up the three posters and finish the task. If you want a visual guide on the course, then Dark Sol has an excellent video that shows the path to take: . Bumble-Buster Try againComplete within 10 seconds This task can be chosen at the Help Wanted board in Market Street: Tram Common. It is one of the easiest tasks. When the task begins, spam Magnega and win. There is not much else to say. Junk Sweep Try againComplete with less than 6 points This task can be chosen at the Help Wanted board in Market Street: Tram Common. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade and the Negative Combo ability then unequip any Combo Plus abilities and Explosion. You need to destroy all the junk in five strikes or less. Simply position Sora so that when he hits a piece of junk, it goes flying into another pile of junk and destroys it. With these abilities and proper positioning, you should be able to destroy all the junk in two or three strikes. The Struggle: Hayner Give it a tryWin by a margin of 100 or more points Hayner can be challenged by examining the board beside the Struggle referee in the Sandlot. By equipping Draw, Combo Plus, Finishing Plus and Explosion abilities and your most powerful Keyblade, you should make quick work of any Struggle opponent you face and easily get 200 points every time. The Struggle: Setzer Give it a tryWin with 150 or more points To face Setzer, you must defeat Hayner ten times. Face Setzer by examining the board in the Sandlot. Same strategy as Hayner, do not relent and be aggressive. The Struggle: Seifer Give it a tryWin with 200 points To face Seifer, you must defeat Setzer ten times. Face Seifer by examining the board in the Sandlot. This is the same strategy as Hayner and Setzer so you should be very good at this by now. SB Street Rave Give it a tryFinish with 1,000 or more points This skateboard challenge can be attempted by speaking to the lady in a yellow dress at the bottom of Market Street: Station Heights. It is the most difficult skateboard challenge. You only have five tries to get 1,000 points. Begin by grinding on the rail in front of you, press while grinding to make more points. At the second corner, press to jump to the next rail, then press whenever there's a gap you need to jump. Always press while grinding. Go back to the first rail whenever you mess up to restart the cycle. You should be able to get 1,000 points easily. Edited January 27, 2016 by Terminator Editorial Sweep. PapasitoPenguin
Mushroom XIII: No. 7 Challenge to a duelComplete within 10 seconds This Mushroom can be found in the Tunnelway, which can be accessed from Sunset Terrace. It is where Roxas battled the Vivis in the beginning of the game. You must defeat this Mushroom in under ten seconds. It will aggressively attack you so the trick here is to spam Reflega. When you begin the duel, jump above the Mushroom and cast Reflega. When you land, keep spamming Reflega while the Mushroom attacks you unrelentingly. The Mushroom should end up killing itself quickly. Mushroom XIII: No. 8 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 85 or more This Mushroom can be found in The Tower, the yard in front of Yen Sid’s tower. It is hands down the most difficult and annoying of all the Mushroom XIII. You must attack it 85 times in the air before it falls down onto the ground. There are many strategies for this Mushroom and I've tried them all. The following strategy finally worked for me and was the easiest for me to pull off: - Equip the Fatal Crest Keyblade and the Fenrir or Sleeping Lion Keyblade for Sora’s Master Form. Unequip the MP Haste ability and place Thundaga in your shortcut. - Enter Master Form, cast Curaga then wait until your MP recharge bar is under the O in FORM. - Begin the duel and begin to mash the attack button to attack the Mushroom unrelentingly. It is very important to always tilt the control stick in the same direction that the Mushroom is facing so that Sora is always facing the Mushroom. This is because the Mushroom will sometimes go flying away in the direction it is facing, so having Sora face that direction will allow him to quickly reach the Mushroom to attack it more. - When your MP is nearly replenished, make sure you are placed below the Mushroom. Begin to spam Thundaga when your MP is replenished. It is important that you are under the Mushroom before you begin to use Thundaga, otherwise the Mushroom will eventually just fall to the ground. - After using up all your MP again, if you require more hits, keep mashing the attack button against the Mushroom. It might be difficult for Sora to reach the Mushroom in time before it falls, however. This Mushroom will take multiple attempts. It is one of the most frustrating and random aspects of this game. Don’t lose your cool, stay calm and practice. You will eventually get it. Mushroom XIII: No. 12 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 40 or more This Mushroom can found at The Old Mansion, in the front yard. It is a fun Mushroom that requires you to defeat 40 of its clones within the time limit. Begin by equipping the Fatal Crest Keyblade or the Berserk Charge ability and make sure that Goofy does not have any Ethers. Enter Wisdom Form, cast Curaga and begin the duel. What you must do is always run/float up and down between both sets of pillars and attack the clones. It is easier if you press to target the nearest Mushroom clone while you move. Don't stop moving, don't stop attacking and whenever your MP is replenished, cast Curaga again. With practice, this Mushroom should not give too much trouble. Radiant Garden Event Quests Meet the three girls again The Gullwings can be found at the Postern upon Sora's next return to Hollow Bastion after the Battle of the 1000 Heartless. Simply speak to the three of them to initiate an event, in which you receive the Gull Wing Keyblade. Meet Sephiroth again Sephiroth can be battled at the Great Maw once Hollow Bastion has become Radiant Garden. Land at the Crystal Fissure and follow the path to the Great Maw. Sora faces Sephiroth alone. Make sure that Sora is equipped with as many Ethers or Elixirs as possible and the strongest equipment as well. The Decisive Pumpkin Keyblade is useful if you do not have Ultima Weapon. Also, make sure you have the Trinity limit equipped as well. Finally, Once More, Second Chance and Leaf Bracer are required. When the battle begins, press to block Sephiroth's attack. Whenever the prompt appears, make sure to press it. Sephiroth opens himself up for combos frequently in the first half of the battle. When he begins to attack you, using Reflega will help block against damage and will further harm Sephirth. After sustaining enough damage, Sephiroth will float high into the air and begin his Heartless Angel attack. To reach him, you will need High Jump and Aerial Dodge. Attack him quickly before he executes his attack, otherwise Sora will be left with just 1 HP. Cast Curaga quickly before Sephiroth strikes you. If you cannot reach Sephiroth in time, use Trinity limit for invincibility. Sephiroth will eventually begin using Meteor against you. This is a very aggressive attack but if you use Aerial Dodge and Glide, you should be able to dodge it if you don’t stop moving. Alternatively, you can use the Trinity limit for invincibility. When he uses an attack that sucks you into the middle, glide away and you should be fine. At this point in the battle, Sephiroth is less open to combos and is much more aggressive. Using Reflega often at this point will help cause more damage against Sephiroth and Trinity will always create a dent in his HP. Stay on him, be aggressive but smart and always interrupt him when he begins his Heartless Angel attack. SB Freestyle Give it a tryFinish with 200 or more points This skateboard challenge can be attempted by speaking to Scrooge McDuck. There are no rules or limitations and you simply need to finish with 200 points. At the beginning, grind on the rail and press to make more points. You will automatically jump at the end. Press in the air, then move Sora towards the next rail and mash so he begins to grind on it. Press while grinding, then jump automatically at the end. Press in the air, then mash to begin grinding on the initial rail. Repeat this process until you have 200 points (which should actually happen before even making the first jump). When you are finished, press and quit. Cavern of Remembrance Enter the Cavern of RemembranceInvestigate the Cavern of Remembrance When Hollow Bastion becomes Radiant Garden, you will be able to enter the Cavern of Remembrance from the Postern. The Cavern of Remembrance is a fun new dungeon exclusive to Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix that takes full advantage of your growth abilities that you've learned from your Drive forms. Aside from the platforming aspect, you will also encounter new Heartless that drop new synthesis material, treasure chests and puzzle pieces. At the end of the Cavern of Remembrance is the Garden of Assemblage, where you can battle all thirteen members of Organization XIII once again. Edited January 27, 2016 by Terminator Editorial Sweep. PapasitoPenguin
Fight Xemnas again Note: As I have explained in the entry for Lexeaus’ Absent Silhouette, always make sure Sora's item slots are full of Ethers (or Elixirs) and so are Donald and Goofy’s. Unequip their abilities that cost MP (it is up to you whether you want to keep Donald Cure). Place Curaga, Reflega and the Ethers/Elixirs in your shortcut. Ensure that Once More, Second Chance and Leaf Bracer are equipped. Equip Sora with his most powerful Keyblade and most powerful armor. Also, it would help immensely if Sora is at level 99. This battle is divided in two. The first part of the battle is the solo battle with Sora and the second battle is the battle against Xemnas with Riku. The first battle is rather simple. Xemnas simply does combos against you with his dual laser blades and you can either guard against them or use Reflega. Reflega is recommended but sometimes he will teleport away after a combo and thus will not sustain any damage. After guarding against a combo, Xemnas is usually open to a combo. When his HP starts to become low, however, he will sometimes teleport away after a combo, even if you’ve guarded. The attack to look out for is his long combo. You can either guard seven times against it and then retaliate or cast Reflega. However, Reflega can only be cast five times and you will sustain damage from the end of his combo. However, Xemnas will also sustain damage from Reflega as well. The second battle is much more annoying. Ensure that you have Riku's limit Eternal Session equipped. For the most part, Xemnas will either attack you with two dark orbs or thorns. When he shoots the two orbs at you, use Quick Run towards him once the first orb explodes. Don’t get too close or he will teleport away. Be close enough, however, that you can use Reflega when he shoots the next two orbs and they explode, damaging him. This is your cue to get in a combo. Otherwise, keep using Quick Run to dodge his orbs and thorns. A Xemnas clone will eventually appear to make your life more miserable but keep using the same strategy. Somestimes, Xemnas will throw Sora into the air and attack him. You can either use Reversal to get behind him and attack him or just use the Eternal Session limit to become invincible and attack Xemnas. Be advised that the limit only damages him if he is locked on so keep pressing to ensure that he is being damaged. Once the limit ends, use an Ether or Elixir right away because you always want to be able to use Reflega or Curaga. Xemnas will also sometimes shoot or circle you with red lasers that damage you. These attacks are easily countered with Reflega. When you hear Xemnas say "Can you spare", you must begin spamming Reflega. If not, Sora becomes trapped and Riku must make his way to Sora to save him while being pursued by a Xemnas clone. If this happens, take a few steps, press a few times to stun the clone, take a few more steps and repeat. Make sure you save Sora before he dies. Once Xemnas' health is depleted, follow the reaction command prompts on the screen but be sure to press and for both Sora and Riku to reflect Xemnas' final barrage of lasers, then finish him off. Fight Xigbar again Xigbar is the same as when you fought him at The World That Never Was, only he is much faster. The key to victory here, as with basically every other Organization XIII members, is Reflega. You can use Reflega to reflect Xigbar’s projectile’s back at him. Doing this enough times will stun him, allowing you to get in a combo on him. When he jumps out of the battle arena and targets you with his crosshairs, avoid his attacks (don’t bother using Reflega, just run from them) and press whenever the prompt appears on screen. There is much less time to press than there was at the battle at The World That Never Was so I found that mashing did the trick. Keep up this strategy, don't stop spamming Reflega when he attacks, heal when needed and you should have no problem. Fight Xaldin again Xaldin is more or less the same as when you fought him at Beast's Castle. He can be a pain but all of his attacks can be easily dodged with a little practice. Reflega works well against Xaldin and will sometimes open him up for a combo. However, it's best not to rely on Reflega in this battle and you're better of using the Learn reaction command then Jump on Xaldin to stun him temporarily which will open him up to a combo. The only difficult part of this battle is once he casts Aero on himself and Reflega becomes useless against him. Xaldin will also begin to dodge your Jumps more frequently. It is best to play defensively at this stage and stockpile multiple Jump commands then unleash them all on Xaldin until one hits him, thus opening him up for a combo. Xaldin can be very annoying but all of his attacks can be easily dodged, especially with High Jump, Quick Run and Glide. Further more, his desperation attack can easily be countered by spamming Reflega when he blows the stream of wind at you. Fight Vexen again Refer to the Absent Silhouette entry in Agrabah for information on how to defeat Vexen. Fight Lexaeus again Refer to the Absent Silhouette entry in Twilight Town for information on how to defeat Lexaeus. Fight Zexion again Refer to the Absent Silhouette entry in Olympus Coliseum for information on how to defeat Zexion. Fight Saïx again The battle against Saïx is exactly the same as the fight against him at The World That Never Was, only he more powerful and there is a smaller window of time to pick up his claymore to knock him out of berserk. When Saïx is not in berserk mode, you can get in a few combos on him. Once he enters berserk mode, he becomes aggressive. You have less time to pick up his claymore after his finishers, so if you are unable to use Reflega or Guard at the right moment, you will be knocked into the air and will not have enough time to pick up the claymore. With practice, you'll get the timing right. Pick up the claymore then knock him out of berserk and unleash more combos on him. Most of the time, Saïx can't hit you when you glide after an aerial dodge, so it is a safe way to avoid him if you cast Curaga and want your MP to replenish naturally. Fight Axel again Axel is more annoying than difficult. Sora faces Axel alone. At the beginning of the battle, Axel engulfs the floor with lava that constantly depletes Sora’s HP. Luckily, this isn't permanent. Axel leaves himself open to combos rather easily. Before Axel attacks, cast Reflega. The resulting damage will stun Axel, leaving him open to a combo. After the finisher, Axel will jump into the flames. At this point, run to the middle of the arena and mash so you activate the reaction command. This will get rid of the lava on the floor. Follow the same strategy of Reflega -> combo and Axel should go down quickly. Axel cannot die with lava on the floor and will always stay at 1 HP no matter how many finishers you use. You must get rid of the lava on the floor before the finishing blow to end the battle. Fight Demyx again Very annoying battle. Begin by equipping the Bond of Flame Keyblade on Sora and the Fire Boost and Magic Lock-On abilities. Make sure that now more than ever, Goofy has a full inventory of Ethers. When the battle begins, Demyx will create 13 water clones that you must defeat within the time limit. Be advised that there is no reaction command this time around that corrals them all up. You must go into Wisdom Form and begin to spam Firaga against the water clones. If you hit Demyx with Firaga quickly after defeating the last water clone, he will not summon more and you are free to go crazy on him with Firaga until he summons them again. Try to time it so you defeat the last water clone near Demyx so that Firaga also causes damage to him. To end the battle, Demyx will summon 99 water clones. Not impossible to defeat in 30 seconds but there is little room for error. When you've defeated them all, Demyx is left with 1 HP and you can easily finish him off. PapasitoPenguin
Fight Luxord again This is one of the easiest Organization XIII data battle, until Luxord uses his desperation attack. This battle is more or less exactly like the one in The World That Never Was. When the prompt shows up, you can press it to initiate a minigame in which you must press the O in any of the four slots in your command deck. This will leave Luxord open for a combo. Or you can just be very aggressive against Luxord, ignore the minigames and attack him unrelentingly until his time gauge is low. When he turns into a card, quickly find the one that contains Luxord by moving the camera around and press to flip it, reveal Luxord and get a combo on him. When Luxord's time gauge gets low enough, he will use his desperation attack. This is where the battle gets annoying. The first phase of the attack is very easy to dodge by gliding around the arena after an aerial dodge. The second phase of the attack requires you to get an O on all four slots of your command deck. The first three are easy to get O but the last one is the fastest and is more reliant on luck than anything else. If you get X at any time, Sora turns into a dice and loses a lot of time and Luxord regains a lot of time back. If you are successful at this minigame, Luxord is left with no time. Don't take any chances, initiate the Trinity limit and finish him off. Fight Marluxia again Refer to the Absent Silhouette entry for Beast's Castle for information on how to defeat Marluxia. Fight Larxene again Refer to the Absent Silhouette entry for Port Royal for information on how to defeat Larxene. Fight Roxas again Roxas can be looped but you shouldn't depend on looping him to win. Unequip the Explosion ability and equip the Rumbling Rose Keyblade. To loop him at the beginning of the battle, - Take a step towards him and cast Reflega immediately. - Attack him and your finisher will send him in the air. - When he lands, attack him again until you use your finisher. - Cast Reflega, then immediately do another ground combo. - When Roxas lands, repeat the cycle. Roxas may break out of the loop, however and getting him back in it can prove tricky. Luckily, facing Roxas isn't too difficult as most of his attacks can be easily dodged. Using Reflega will often stun him, leaving him open for a combo. Sometimes it will not stun him, however but will still damage him. When Roxas begins to float in the air and send flying orbs to attack you, you can easily dodge this by flying around the edge of the arena without locking on to Roxas. Sometimes you will "duel" Roxas, where you must choose the "The End" command on the command board quickly when it appears. Press it and you will gain one of Roxas' Keyblades for a short while. Press when the Reversal prompt appears to dodge Roxas' attack and combo him. Stay vigilant, use Reflega frequently, attack Roxas whenever there's an opening and he’ll go down. Mushroom XIII: No. 9 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 75 or more The Mushroom can be found at the Castle Gate, where Demyx was fought. You must spin the Mushroom 75 times before it stops. Equip the Fatal Strike Keyblade of the Berserk Charge ability and equip the Horizontal Slash ability and unequip the MP Haste ability. When you begin the duel, cast Curaga, jump and attack the Mushroom to launch it into the air and then simply spam Horizontal Slash by pressing repeatedly. You will continue to attack and spin the Mushroom and you should easily be able to even reach 99 spins before your MP is finished replenishing. Mushroom XIII: No. 13 Challenge to a duel This Mushroom can be found at the Great Maw. It will only appear after you have completed the other twelve Mushrooms’ challenges. The twelve Mushrooms will all line up then you must approach the light, press and collect your rewards. Beast’s Castle Event Quests Inspect the Absent Silhouette Marluxia’s Absent Silhouette is located in Beast's Room. Marluxia is a very annoying battle. At the beginning, he places a counter above Sora's head that corresponds to his level. That counter decreases by one every time Marluxia hits Sora and once the counter reaches 0, it is game over. The key to the battle is to learn Marluxia’s fighting patterns and how to avoid or block them. As always, Reflega is your friend. It will also stun Marluxia, allowing you to get a good combo on him. When he summons three circles on the floor, jump and glide to safety. Do not step into them. While Reflega is very useful, if you guard or avoid Marluxia's attacks, you will sometimes have a reaction command prompt that either stuns Marluxia or give Sora back some numbers in the counter. When Marluxia begins to spin with his scythe around the arena as a wheel, do a double jump and glide around to avoid it. When Marluxia uses his Reaper’s Possession attack, he will float above Sora while small circles will appear that damage Sora if he steps on them. Avoid these circles and when Marluxia raises his scythe, spam Reflega until he finishes. It will damage him and leave him open to a combo. Remember that the Trinity will leave Sora invincible for some time and can cause significant damage on Marluxia. Further, entering Limit Form will heal Sora's HP and MP and the limits that you can perform can also cause a lot of damage against Marluxia. Mushroom XIII: No. 3 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 450 or more This Mushroom can be found on the Bridge. When you begin the duel, it will begin floating around the bridge and dropping small orbs that disappear quickly. You must collect 450 of these before the challenge is over. At first, the Mushroom is slow and does not drop many orbs but it eventually speeds up and begins to drop more. Equipping multiple Draw abilities is useful in this challenge. You can either follow the Mushroom by gliding behind it, picking up everything it drops but I found this not to be very effective. Transform into Wisdom Form and follow the Mushroom with Quick Run and you should easily pick up every orb the Mushroom drops if you follow it efficiently. All in all, a simple challenge. Olympus Coliseum Event Quests Inspect the Absent Silhouette Zexion’s Absent Silhouette is located in Cave of the Dead: Inner Chamber and appears after escaping Hades. Zexion can be annoying but is not too difficult. The only things to look out for are when he brings you into the book world, you must find which book is Zexion and attack it. The best way to find which book Zexion is is to wait until every book attacks you. Block with Reflega and the book that was not coordinated with the rest in the attack is Zexion. Attack the book until it is defeated and you'll be able to get in a combo or two on Zexion before he brings your party back into the book world. Sometimes Zexion will turn you into a book and you must constable shuffle the command deck with until you find a command that will return Sora to normal, such as "Release", "Liberate", "Escape" and so on. Shuffle and find the command quickly, because you are unable to heal yourself in this state. Zexion's desperation attack shines three lights on three books – two red lights and a blue one that constantly shuffles between all three books. If you are not standing in a blue light when the shuffle ends, you will be caught in a barrage of meteors that will cause serious damage. Stand between two lights and face the third light. When the shuffle ends and the blue light is on either side, quickly run into the light. If the blue light is in front of you, Quick Run into it. Once in the blue light, you are able to freely attack the Zexion book. Keep up and heal when needed. This battle is more annoying than it is difficult and Zexion has low HP so it shouldn't last too long. Edited January 27, 2016 by Terminator Editorial Sweep. PapasitoPenguin
Phil's Training Try Practice ModeTry Maniac Mode Complete with a score of 1,000 or more Phil’s challenges can be accessed by speaking to Phil in the Coliseum. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade, the Negative Combo and Draw abilities and unequip anyway Combo Plus abilities. In Maniac mode, the first few phases of pots are small ones so simply dispose of them by casting Magnega and collecting the orbs. When the big pots appear, quickly run to them and position yourself so that when you attack it, it goes flying into the cluster of small pots. You should get a large amount of orbs this way and by doing this repeatedly, will easily get over 1,000 points. The Underdrome: Pain and Panic Give it a tryWin with a score of 2,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after completing the events at Disney Castle. In this Cup, Drive forms are locked but limits consume less MP. In this cup, as with the rest, the more combos you perform, the more orbs you get. Equip the Draw ability (for every Cup) and if you are killing enemies too quickly, unequip any Combo Plus or Air Combo Plus abilities. Use your limits to increase your combo count as well. All in all, it is a simple challenge. The final match against Leon and Yuffie can be made very simple by jumping into the fray and spamming Reflect magic, which will cause a large amount of damage to both of them. The Underdrome: Cerberus Give it a tryWin with a score of 1,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after completing Agrabah, Halloween Town and Pride Lands for the first time. In this Cup, Sora is alone but any Drive form can be accessed and the Drive gauge is refilled after every match. However, there is a timer. Equip the Photon Debugger Keyblade and/or equip the Thunder Boost ability, transform into Wisdom/Master/Final Form and use Magnet and Thunder magic on your opponents. The Underdrome: Titan Give it a tryWin with a score of 5,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after completing Olympus Coliseum for the second time. In this Cup, Sora is alone and has 500 points that decreases every time Sora is damaged. Once these points reach 0, you lose the Cup. Drive forms are disabled but you may use summons and they are the trick to reaching 5,000 points. In every match, first summon Stitch and use his Ohana limit as many times as possible. Mash the button and only to not hurt the enemies but receive a large amount of orbs. Then summon Peter Pan, use his Neverland limit and mash the button to damage the enemies and receive a large amount of orbs. You should get a large quantity of points every match. The Underdrome: Goddess of Fate Give it a tryWin with a score of 3,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after completing the three previous Cups and after the first fight against Xemnas in The World That Never Was, in which Sora battles him alone. There are no special rules or restrictions in this Cup. To get a large amount of points, follow the same strategy as that from the Titan Cup and you will easily reach over 3,000 points. The Paradox Battles: Pain and Panic Give it a tryWin with a score of 2,500 or more This Cup can be challenged after clearing the four regular Underdrome Cups. This Cup, as well as the rest of the Paradox Cups, can be accessed by speaking to Hades, not Pain and Panic. The same rules apply as the normal Pain and Panic Cup, except the enemies are much stronger. Using the same strategy should yield you over 2,500 points. The Paradox Battles: Cerberus Give it a tryWin with a score of 1,300 or more This Cup can be challenged after clearing the four regular Underdrome Cups and all Forms are at level 5 or higher. The same rules apply as the normal Cerberus Cup, except the enemies are much stronger. Using the same strategy should yield you over 1,300 points. The Paradox Battles: Titan Give it a tryWin with a score of 10,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after clearing the four regular Underdrome Cups and your Summon gauge is at level 5 or higher. The same rules apply as the normal Titan Cup, except the enemies are much stronger. Using the Stitch and Peter Pan strategy should yield you over 10,000 points. The Paradox Battles: Hades Give it a tryWin with a score of 15,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after clearing the three other Paradox Cups and after all your Forms and Summon gauge are at level 7. This Cup is different from the rest in that there are 50 matches. For every ten matches, the rules of a certain Cup will be present. For example: On matches 10 – 20, the Titan Cup rules will apply. For the final ten matches, Sora will be alone. The 15,000 point threshold may seem daunting but since there are 50 matches to go through, it is simple to achieve. When the Titan Cup rules apply, use the Stitch/Peter Pan strategy and you should be able to more or less reach 15,000 points even before the halfway point of the Cup. Be smart and stay vigilant and you should be able to pull this off. The only difficult match is the one against Cloud, Leon, Yuffie and Tifa. You can easily win this by jumping in the fray, spamming Reflega and once you are out of MP, glide quickly around the edge of the arena and no one should be able to attack you. Mushroom XIII: No. 6 Challenge to a duelComplete within 45 seconds This Mushroom can be found in the Underworld Caverns: Atrium. You must defeat all of its clones within 45 seconds. Stock up on Ethers, enter Final Form and begin the duel. Your goal is to blast away all the clones with magic. When the clones are all huddled up in a circle, position yourself in the middle and cast Firaga. Otherwise, cast Thundaga. When casting Thundaga, try to cast the spell on the clone that is more in the middle of all of them when they're all lined up and not a clone that is on the extremities. Otherwise, you might have to cast Thundaga multiple times and waste time. Always be sure to use an Ether before you run out of MP and not after. Agrabah Event Quests Redo the Cave of Wonders: Chasm of Challenges Simply redo the Cave of Wonders: Chasm of Challenges. This is the challenge in which you were required to battle Heartless and the floor would disappear, leading you to battle against more Heartless. Just inspect the stone tablet and choose to redo the challenge. Inspect the Absent Silhouette Vexen’s Absent Silhouette is located in the Peddler’s Shop after the second visit to Agrabah. Vexen can be a really annoying opponent or an easy one, depending on how much you allow him to collect data on Sora. For each successive data collection, the AntiForm Sora he summons gets more HP. Vexen can collect data on Sora up to five time (five bars) so try to always stay moving and do not stand under Vexen's data collection circle. Equip a Keyblade that increases Sora's magic stat a lot, such as Winner’s Proof and equip his Final form with the Bond of Flame. Equip the Fire Boost ability. When the battle begins, get close to Vexen and cast Reflega until his shield break. Transform into Final form and begin to spam Firaga. Vexen will take considerable damage. If Vexen falls back down to the ground, he will regenerate his shield. Use Reflega again to break it and go back to spamming Firaga. Vexen will eventually go down quickly. If AntiForm Sora is summoned, prioritize on defeating it. It can unleash nasty combos on Sora that deplete his HP quickly but with Once More, Second Chance and Leaf Bracer, you will survive. Magic Carpet Try againFinish with a score of 65 or more To begin this challenge, warp to the Ruined Chamber, climb to the top and inspect the cracked stone. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade and the Negative Combo ability and unequip all Combo Plus abilities. You will redo the magic carpet ride and you must defeat 65 Heartless. This is more or less every Heartless that appears but with Fenrir and Negative Combo, you should be able to defeat every Heartless in one strike. Most of the time you can defeat multiple Heartless in one strike so all in all, this is a simple task. Edited January 27, 2016 by Terminator Editorial Sweep. PapasitoPenguin
SB Sand Slider Give it a tryFinish with 10 or more points This skateboard challenge can be attempted by entering the Peddler's Shop and speaking to him. You must collect 10 or more crystal within the time limit. This is a rather simple task, as you only need to jump to reach all the crystals. If you are unable to do it on your first try, retry and learn where the crystals spawn so that you can quickly reach them. Mushroom XIII: No. 5 Challenge to a duelComplete within 10 seconds This Mushroom can be found in the Cave of Wonders: Treasure Room. When you begin the duel, the Mushroom falls asleep and constantly regenerates its HP. You must defeat it in 10 seconds or less. Ensure that Sora's strength is at 50 or higher before attempting. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade, the Negative Combo ability and unequip any Combo Plus abilities. When you begin the duel, mash the attack button so that Sora unleashes as many finishers against the Mushroom as possible. If you want, transform into Final Form for a little more firepower. 100 Acre Wood A Blustery Rescue Try againFinish with a score of 18,000 or more This minigame can be attempted by speaking to Piglet at Piglet's Howse. The strategy is simple, mash the attack button so that you can defeat as many objects as you can, thus increasing your score. Try to hit every honey pot that appears on screen and whenever you see a gust of wind, no matter small or large, approach it and press to defeat every object on screen and get many points. Hunny Slider Try againFinish with a score of 8,000 or more This minigame can be attempted by speaking to Rabbit at Rabbit's Howse. This one is simple. While holding , you can move Sora and Pooh to the left or right quickly. Just follow the orbs' path to get as many points as possible and whenever you see a prompt, it’s Gopher who will give you a "second chance if ever you get hit. If you get hit and lose Pooh, quickly move to him and press . Balloon Bounce Try againFinish with a score of 2,000 or more This minigame can be attempted by speaking to Tigger at Kanga's Howse. You must time your presses for when Sora is about to jump up. This will spring him into the air. You must land on as many balloons as you can and the more balloons you land on, the more points you get. Remember that you can move Sora to the left or right during this minigame, so always try to position him to fall on a balloon. The small, red balloons give the most points. You should be able to get over 2,000 points with a little practice. The Expotition Try againFinish within 90 seconds This minigame can be attempted by speaking to Kanga in the Spookey Cave. You must locate Pooh within 90 seconds. Pooh's location has not changed from the first time you attempted this minigame. Press to make the gang follow you. Don't run too fast or you will lose some of them. Simply rush through the falling boulders and if any of them fall on someone, approach them and press . Whenever bees appear, quickly attack them to make them go away or use Magnega. Don't run too quickly on the ice, otherwise Sora will fall and lose some time. All things considered, it’s not too difficult since Pooh is always located at the same place. The Hunny Pot Try againFinish with a score of 8,000 or more This minigame can be attempted by speaking to Pooh on Starry Hill. You must first stop the power gauge when it's full, then fling Pooh forward quickly, before losing any power. First press when the power gauge is full (which is easier than it sounds) then press again when Sora is spinning Pooh and he is facing forward, towards the exit of the area (which is harder than it sounds). It took me multiple times to get 8,000 points but luckily this is a very short minigame so you don't have to waste any time if you need to retry. Atlantica Perform "Swim This Way" againPerform "Part of Your World" again Perform "Under the Sea" again Perform "Ursula’s Revenge" again Perform "A New Day is Dawning" again To perform a song again, approach the green orb with the music note in it in the Undersea Courtyard and choose whichever song you wish to perform again. These are exactly the same songs that you performed initially, with the same rules, so they should not be difficult at all. Halloween Town Gift Wrapping Try againFinish with a score of 150 or more This minigame can be attempted again by speaking to the elf in The Wrapping Room. You must fire presents 150 presents in the gift boxes within 60 seconds. The small red boxes hold 1 present, the yellow boxes hold 5 presents, the green boxes hold 10 presents and the large yellow boxes hold 20 presents. Thus, always prioritize the larger boxes first to get as many points as possible before Lock, Shock or Barrel kick them away. I found that always mashing the Shoot button is effective instead of aiming, firing, aiming, etc. You can always hit Lock, Shock and Barrel with a present to knock them out for a little while, which helps. Always be sure to keep an eye on how many presents you have left and reload whenever you can. SB Workshop Rave Give it a tryFinish with 1,000 or more points This skateboard challenge can be attempted by speaking to Lock at the Yuletide Hill. You must finish this challenge with over 1,000 points within 30 seconds. It is a rather simple challenge. Simple press to grind, press while grinding to increase your point score and when you automatically jump in the air, press then mash near another rail to grind on it. Mushroom XIII: No. 2 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 80 or more This Mushroom can be found at the Christmas Tree Plaza. You must dodge or reflect all of his projectiles and finish with a score of 80 or more. Place Reflega in your shortcut, enter Final Form and begin the challenge. Jump into the air, face the Mushroom and hold so that you float in the air. In Final Form, you will automatically reflect all of its projectiles back at the Mushroom. You get more point when the projectiles hit the Mushroom back. When you see a circular bunch of projectiles come at you, cast Reflega, otherwise you will be hit from behind. Whenever you cast Reflega, don't forget to jump again and hold to glide. This is a pretty fun Mushroom, so enjoy yourself. Port Royal Event Quests Inspect the Absent Silhouette Larxene’s Absent Silhouette is located at Isla de Muerta: Rock Face. Larxene is probably the most difficult of all Absent Silhouettes. She is fast and unpredictable but equipping accessories that increase your resistance to thunder will reduce the damage you take. As always, Reflega will be a big help in this battle. Larxene splits up into clones and attacks you aggressively. If you guard against the clones' attacks and attack them, you will be able to use a reaction command that will merge them back into one, opening Larxene up for a combo. Larxene's thunder attacks are easy to dodge and can be blocked with Reflega. It is her clone attacks that you must watch out for. When you become surrounded by clones, cast Reflega to block any damage you take. Don't be afraid to heal when you need to but use an Ether quickly afterwards. With diligence, Larxene will go down. SB Time Attack Give it a tryFinish within 40 seconds This skateboard challenge can be attempted by speaking to Will at the Rampart. This is the easiest of all skateboard challenges. You simply need to get all crystals within 40 seconds by skating to them or jumping towards them. No challenge at all. Mushroom XIII: No. 10 Challenge to a duelComplete within 55 seconds This Mushroom can be found at Isla de Muerta: Moonlight Nook. The Mushroom will summon four other clones. You must spot the correct one, watch it carefully as it shuffles with the rest, then attack the correct one when they all line back up. Transform into Final Form, begin the duel, walk away, press so that you have a first person view of all five Mushrooms and watch the shuffle. It might help to press at times during the shuffle so that you don't lose sight of the correct Mushroom. Once they all line up again, approach the correct one and attack it until the next shuffle begins. Repeat this process until the Mushroom is defeated in under 55 seconds. PapasitoPenguin
Space Paranoids Light Cycle Try againFinish with 30 or more points To attempt this minigame, access the computer in Ansem’s Study and select the Pit Cell. Access the terminal and select Light Cycle. You will play the motorcycle minigame again and you must defeat 30 Heartless before reaching the end. It is recommended to always attack the enemies with the button. Sometimes, you can even take out more than one enemy in one hit. When given the option, always go right. Though the left and right paths have the same amount of Heartless, the right paths have less columns for them to crash into and die and you do not gain any points when this happens. The Land of Dragons Mushroom XIII: No. 4 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 85 or more This Mushroom can be found at the Palace Gate. It is a really fun Mushroom, you must defeat 85 clones before being hit by one. Enter Wisdom Form and begin the duel. What you want to do is make circles around the area and constantly mash the attack button. Do not lock on with because it is better to just target the closest one to you. As you defeat more clones, they begin to get more HP but you should be fine as long as you make circles and keep your distance. Disney Castle Investigate the mysterious entranceway This is the dreaded battle against Lingering Will. He can be challenged by entering the portal in the Hall of the Cornerstone after loading your clear data. It is one of the most difficult battles in the series and requires precise timing and luck. Luckily for us, however, Lingering Will can be trapped in a loop. The time frame to get him trapped in the loop, however, is very small so it may take a few tries to finally get it. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade and the Negative Combo Keyblade. Unequip the Air Combo Plus, Aerial Finish, Magnet Burst and High Jump abilities. When battling Lingering Will, you will try to look for or create openings on Lingering Will to attack him. Once he is open, jump and attack. Quickly jump and attack again. Keep doing this until he is defeated. Jump, finish, jump, finish and so on. Make sure to lock on him with and just tilt the control stick forward. Don't worry about the camera, you will be fine as long as you're locked on. Lingering Will can break out of the loop randomly, however so it's not a foolproof strategy. This seems to happen very often when you knock him against a stalagmite. This isn't really in your control either so it's luck based but it doesnt seem to happen often. Try to initiate the loop in an open area. If he breaks out of the loop and he's at low HP, he will become very aggressive and you will most likely have to retry unless you are prepared to deal with him. Member soraownz created a video demonstrating the loop. [ame] [/ame] Timeless River Mushroom XIII: No. 11 Challenge to a duelComplete within 19 seconds This Mushroom can be found at the Waterway. You must defeat it by making the counter above its head reach 0 within 19 seconds. Equip the Rumbling Rose Keyblade and the Negative Combo ability, while unequiping any Combo Plus abilities. Transform into Wisdom Form and begin the duel. Immediately start spamming the Shot command. Your finishers will make the counter go down more quickly. The Mushroom will jump around frequently but don't let it get too far that your attacks don't reach it. Overall, a really simple Mushroom. If you are having trouble, equip the Berserk Charge ability and cast Curaga before beginning the duel. The World That Never Was Event Quests Complete all worlds and defeat Xemnas This mission will be completed after defeating Xemnas and beating the game. After the credits roll, save your game and load your clear data. When you load the game, this mission should have the golden Mickey symbol beside it. Mushroom XIII: No. 1 Challenge to a duelComplete with a score of 70 or more This Mushroom can be found at the Memory’s Skyscraper after loading you clear data. You must get a score of 70 or more within 30 seconds. The trick here is to perform finishers quickly, because they give 9 points. Equip the Fenrir Keyblade and the Negative Combo ability and unequip any Combo Plus abilities. Entering Wisdom Form or Final Form will work, although I prefer Final Form. When you begin the duel, you must use Reversal to get behind the Mushroom and use the finisher on it. Now use Reversal again, use the finisher and so on. The only problem is that the Mushroom will also use Reversal on you, then attack you. Whenever the the Mushroom uses Reversal, tilt the control stick in the direction that it will appear in (behind you) and then press a split second afterwards. Do not use Reversal right away after the Mushroom does, otherwise it will just counter with another Reversal and then attack you. If you are ever caught off guard and attacked, you might as well give up and retry because it will be very difficult to get to 70 points afterwards. With some patience and practice, you should be able to defeat this Mushroom no problem. Just don't give up and hang in there, it's not as annoying as Mushroom no. 8. PapasitoPenguin
Thanks guys. Feel free to give me input when some of you go through it. I still need to make a lot of edits (mostly typos) and I do want to add some more strategies here and there (especially for the Organization XIII battles), so if you have any different strategies that worked for you, feel free to post them and I'll add them. Mr xxxx
The Underdrome: Titan Give it a try Win with a score of 5,000 or more This Cup can be challenged after completing Olympus Coliseum for the second time. In this Cup, Sora is alone, and has 500 points that decreases every time Sora is damaged. Once these points reach 0, you lose the Cup. Drive forms are disabled, but you may use summons, and they are the trick to reaching 5,000 points. In every match, first summon Stitch and use his Ohana limit as many times as possible. Mash the button and only to not hurt the enemies, but receive a large amount of orbs. Then summon Peter Pan, use his Neverland limit, and mash the button to damage the enemies and receive a large amount of orbs. You should get a large quantity of points every match. I only got just over 3,000 points with this method, Nowhere near 5,000. What i'm i doing wrong? i done the same thing for every match.
PapasitoPenguin
What is your summon level? Try to be as high as possible, every level helps. At higher levels, you can use a summon's limit twice before the gauge runs out. Two Ohana's + two Neverland's per match should be more than enough to get you the points you need. You can also just use Peter Pan instead of Stitch, but his limit actually hurts the enemy so you kight kill some before you get all the points you can get from them. JFryes
In addition to what Papasito said, you will want to have your drive gauge maxxed out at 9 (rather than 6, 7, or 8) when you take on the Paradox Titan cup (to get it maxxed out, you have to beat Lingering Will and do almost all other post-game stuff -- I forget what exactly). This lets you summon 3 times per round, instead of 2, giving you a total of 4 Ohanas + 2 Neverlands per round. Also, equipping the Wishing Lamp keyblade increases the number of orbs that you get *significantly* (I think it's a flat 50% bonus, but I'm not completely sure of that). By using all of these tricks, I was able to get the 15000 points required for the Paradox Hades cup by round 16 (out of 50).
