I just got Winning Streak after playing 1 game on the PS4 Version

Edit:

After getting platinum my Rugby 15 stats say I've played a total of 116 hours.....

Yeah the trophy popped early for us too.

And that's weird about the playing time. But the entire game is buggy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3211/77b.jpg Serious Rugger (G)

Win a match against an international team rated 90+, vs CPU (Hard)

inmate101 suggests an alternative method. Go to Options > Edit Player > New Zealand and put Speed, Acceleration, Strength and Tackle for all the starting players (numbers 1 through 15) to 0. The team will still have a rank of 90 overall, which allows you to beat them easily with another high-ranked team such as France, Australia or England.

I can say with certainty that this alternate strategy does not work (at least, not on the PS3). On the PS3 (and likely on all systems), editing ANY player stats disables most trophies, including all requiring the player to play on Hard Mode. You can still earn some trophies which do not mention anything about difficulty mode, but most trophies (including the tournaments) are disabled.

I have experimented thoroughly on this. I was trying to make Serious Rugger my first major trophy goal, and I discovered that First Try was not unlocking, nor were Break On Through, Bonus Worthy, Ruck Raider, or Place Kick Perfection. To top it off... no Serious Rugger. With a little more investigating, all of the Tournament trophies were also a no-go. However, once player stats were returned to defaults, all trophies popped with no trouble.

The only trophies I was able to unlock with edited player stats were Big Touch Finder, Team Work, Long Droppie, and Best Behaviour. Did not confirm whether 100 Metre Dash would work.

Don't know what you're doing, but editing teams doesn't lock you out of anything. I played all four versions of the game and edited teams all 4 times and never had any issues. This must be something on your end if it's outright not popping anything.

Here's my reply to this, but in another thread because the issue was also brought up there:

I don't think that is correct MrMinderBinder. Maybe your game was buggy?

I never experienced this issue, and I consulted another member (Gage) who didn't have this problem either. For reference, we've both done all 4 stacks of the game (PS4 x 2, PS3 and Vita). The co-author of the guide, dcollins22, didn't have this problem either as far as I recall; at least he never mentioned anything to me about it.

Additionally, another member posted this in another thread in reply to a similar post:

I played all versions of this game and I edited stats to get the plat faster. I do not recall the ps3 version beeing any diffrent from the ps4, editing stats sure didn't lock me out of any trophies.

All in all, everyone that I talked to never had a similar issue. Gage and I think it might be your game or your game's save being buggy. After all, we can agree that this is a terribly broken game.

The only thing I could possibly think of would be a patch update, but I haven't seen anything about any patches, and I'm fairly confident that the game has not had any more patches since I played it just after launch.

I have, however, added a note to the trophy guide warning that due to the game's bugginess, some trophies may not unlock correctly, and that the best way to resolve this is to reset the game settings, and failing that restart the console or reinstall the game. :)

Fair enough. In my case, I was using the NA copy of the disc (not a download), so it wasn't a delete/redownload issue. However, if this is somehow a glitch that is limited to only some copies of the game ( ), whatever. All I know is that the only thing that fixed all of the broekn trophies for me was resetting all stats.

I think we can all agree... this game was horribly programmed.

Trophies do stack :p

There's a

  1. Vita
  2. PS3
  3. PS4 (NA)
  4. PS4 (EU)

Thanks for pointing that out Blaze. An oversight on our part, especially mine considering I've done all 4.

I've fixed it up now:

  • Do trophies stack?: Yes, 4 lists exist: Vita, PS3, PS4 (NA) and PS4 (EU).

Cheers for the guide. I'd recommend making the difficulty at least a 3/10, it's no 2/10 put it that way. The controls take some used to.

Also, you can pretty much simulate all matches for the trophy championship ones as well as the custom cup, so basically you don't have to even play the game (kinda :p). To do this either A) Select all the high rated teams making sure you win or B) When you get to the scoring screen if you've lost quickly back out the application, don't press :cross: as the game will auto-save:)

One thing regarding the Vita version, it terribly lags when simulating matches, so that is probably worth mentioning.

This isn't working for the Vita. I put them down to around 5-10 and the team overall is like 60.

For winning streak, you'll have to delete your save data and wipe the stats. Seems simulating games might mess it up. Also, make a mention that restarting the match at the end doesn't work and make sure that you put it back on hard again :)

One tip I found from Trueachievements (and this works), is that if for example, you are going for Serious Rugger let the game play out, then right near the end (say 79:40) switch sides. There will be a notification pop up saying this disables trophies, but ignore it as I've just got it this way. Make sure the teams are both the same :)

That is pretty much from me :)

dcollins and I think that the difficulty is fine as is. In the voting thread, 24/35 people have voted 2/10 compared to 8/35 people for 3/10.

We already mention simulating matches at the beginning of the guide in the introduction and the walkthrough, as well as in each relevant trophy description.

For example:

All game mode or tournament related trophies can be obtained through simulating matches, which will save you a lot of time on the Platinum.

I won't quote all examples, as they're far too numerous.

I have added a comment about the Vita being sluggish:

Often the game feels sluggish and slow and the controls are sometimes non-responsive (particularly on the Vita), so please factor this in when going for your trophies.

Although the reset game data trick may work, we feel that it is just as efficient to do a manual restart of the console. Resetting game date requires you to exit from the game and then load it back up, whereas a restart would take the same amount of time without the loss of other game data.

I haven't heard of the switching sides technique that you mentioned. Could you provide a link? :)

Thank you for your feedback.
