Both of my gow plats' screenshots ended up like that. Also, some games simply don't capture the trophy popping with it. That was the case with Jak 1 Vita for me. I think it's possibly to do with what game you're doing it in, and not about timing. It looks like it might always happen in Lego Batman, but I'm not 100% sure.
