Introduction

Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars is the second game in the Conception series, the first to be released outside of Japan, and is a sequel to the 2012 PSP title, "Conception: Ore no Kodomo o Undekure!" (Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!). Conception II is an RPG, with semi-tactical turn-based battles. The main gimmick of this game is known as Classmating, which is used to create Star Children with the heroines to accompany the main character and one heroine into the Labyrinth dungeons. To create stronger Star Children, it is important to build a strong relationship with the heroines through interaction events.

Battles are fought against parties of 1-3 enemies, while you can enter a Labyrinth with up to three teams of three Star Children as well as the team of God's Gift and one heroine. Each enemy on the field has four positions/tiles at which your teams can attack them from. Star Children Teams cannot be on the same tile, while G.G.'s team can attack from any of the tiles, including ones occupied by a Star Child team.

Almost every event and general statistic is saved to a global save file, known as the Database. This allows for easy event and general statistic farming by reloading the local save file that contains story progression, character levels, items obtained, etc. This will be regularly used to reduce the number of playthroughs, due to missable character-selection events from 7+, to approximately two.

Step 1 - Complete the main story

For your first playthough, simply enjoy the story and build relationships with the seven heroines of the game to maximum levels, while being prudent to view their individual story events in each chapter and all seven variants of the Chapter 5, 6, and 7 intro events. Be sure to try out each heroine in the Labyrinths at least once, to decide which heroine is your preferred battle partner.

The following trophies cannot be missed by any means, and will be unlocked simply by playing the story mode to completion:

(B)First-Timer (Defeat a monster)

(B)Collaborative Effort (Classmate once)

(B)Conqueror of Lust (Complete Chapter 1)

(B)Conqueror of Gluttony (Complete Chapter 2)

(B)Conqueror of Greed (Complete Chapter 3)

(B)Conqueror of Sloth (Complete Chapter 4)

(B)Conqueror of Wrath (Complete Chapter 5)

(B)Conqueror of Envy (Complete Chapter 6)

(B)Conqueror of Pride (Complete Chapter 7)

(S)Original Sin Smiter (Complete Chapter 8)

Additional trophies that should also unlock during this step are as follows:

(B)City's Biggest Family (Give birth to 20 Star Children)

(B)Love Triangle (Trimate once)

(B)Monster Hunter (Defeat 100 monsters)

(S)Monster Blaster (Defeat 500 monsters)

(B)The Best Defense (Attack 1000 times)

(B)Skill Artist (Use skills 500 times)

(B)Group Therapy (Take all seven heroines into the Labyrinths)

(B)The Basics of RPGs (View 30 sub-events)

You will also obtain at least one ending trophy, though it is entirely possible to earn all nine in one play if you build all seven heroine relationships to maximum, view all of their story events, and make a seperate save file at the end of Chapter 8. Each of the nine endings have an associated trophy:

(B)With Friends (Standard ending)

(B)Fuuko's Bond (Fuuko's ending)

(B)Ellie's Bond (Ellie's ending)

(B)Narika's Bond (Narika's ending)

(B)Chloe's Bond (Chloe's ending)

(B)Serina's Bond (Serina's ending)

(B)Torri's Bond (Torri's ending)

(B)Feene's Bond (Feene's ending)

(G)This Party Don't Stop (Harem ending)

Step 2 - Heroine Event cleanup, New Game+

After completing the game the first time, you will have the option to start a NG+. NG+ can be started from two different points, Prologue or Chapter 7. If you have obtained all nine ending trophies noted in step 1, there is no need to use the Chapter 7 option. Your main focus on this playthrough will be to earn missing character events.

During your NG+, everything will transfer forward except for cleared sub-Labyrinths, heroine affection levels, and some shop items. You will be heavily relying on your existing Star Children, and will be avoiding making any un-needed Star Children at least until the main focus is complete.

The following trophies are related to the main focus:

(S)Memories with Fuuko (View all Fuuko Events)

(S)Memories with Ellie (View all Ellie Events)

(S)Memories with Narika (View all Narika Events)

(S)Memories with Chloe (View all Chloe Events)

(S)Memories with Serina (View all Serina Events)

(S)Memories with Torri (View all Torri Events)

(S)Memories with Feene (View all Feene Events)

All heroines have 45-48 character events that can be viewed in the Database. Events will be saved as viewed on a global "database save" upon viewing, and this can be exploited to make event collection easier. Additional information on this exploit is covered at the start of the roadmap & later in the trophy guide. There are eight affection-related events per-heroine in the game, and if you maxed out the affection of all seven heroines during step 1, you will have at least two of these events, and up to 56 if you farmed them all. If you rose the affection to max every time in step 1, and farmed the specific 7 for the affection rating you had at the time, you should have 14

  • First affection-related events to cover are Festival [Friend/Good] and Starmas [Friend/Good/Lover] happen at the beginnings of Chapter 6 and 7, respectively. The Friend variants of these events happen at 0-2 affection bars, the Good variants at 3-4 bars, and the Lover variant at 5-7 affection bars.

  • The second affection-related events to cover are the Urban Encounter events. The game has a hidden timer that reduces by one every time you enter most facilities in Fort City. The Academy is the best place to grind the timer down, due to significantly shorter load times. The first variant, "Urban Encounter", is obtained with low affection. It is best obtained at an affection of 1 bar, and can be obtained starting at Chapter 1 (later chapters for Serina, Torri, and Feene). The second variant, "Take Me In! (1)", is obtained at medium affection. It is best obtained after Chapter 3, before Chapter 6, and with an affection of 3 bars. The final variant, "Take Me In! (2)", is obtained at high affection. It can be obtained starting in Chapter 6, with an affection of 5 bars or higher. You will likely have a random assortment of these from step 1, unless you farmed them earlier.

In addition to affection-related events, there are three other event types: Character Story, Story Comments, and Personal Interaction.

  • Character Story events are obtained at the Academy and Church. During each chapter, a new Classmating event opens up. Between the Classmating events are two character story events at the Academy that must be completed before the next Classmating event can be seen. These 23 events must all be seen to unlock the character endings and harem ending. These events should all be unlocked during step 1.
  • Story Comments are chapter sensitive interaction events exclusively at the Academy. Fuuko, Ellie, Narika, and Chloe all have 8 (Chapters 1-8), Serina has 7 (Chapters 2-8), Torri has 6 (Chapters 3-8), and Feene has 5 (Chapters 4-8). These must be seen in their specific chapter, or they will be missed.
  • Personal Interaction are chapter semi-sensitive. Each heroine has eight of these events, and a new one becomes available with each chapter. Serina, Torri, and Feene will join the party with 2, 3, and 4 of these events available.

Step 3 - Miscellaneous Cleanup

After obtaining the seven trophies for all heroine events viewed, you are free to cleanup any trophies missed during steps 1 and 2. All of these trophies can be earned during the first playthrough, but are not required to complete the story

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/4de.jpgMaxed Out (S)

Increase all facilities' level to MAX.

Eight facilities in Fort City have their own levels, the Church, Shop, Training Facility, Guild, Lab, Scavenger, Day Camp, and Gift Shop. As you raise Fort City's level, the facilities will also raise in level. Once all eight facilities have reached Lv MAX (Lv 10), this trophy will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/c69.jpgMoneymaker (B)

Amass over 1,000,000G.

Build your held G count up to 1,000,000 to unlock this trophy. This is not cumulative, all 1,000,000 must be held at one time.

An easy way to earn this around Chapter 7 or 8 is to save your game, then sell all items you own. If the combined sale price of all your items and currently held G doesn't amass to 1,000,000G, you will need to grind some more battles, find more items to sell, and avoid spending money unless absolutely needed. After an attempt, you can reload your previous save to return all the sold items to your inventory.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/9ad.jpgThe Basics of RPGs (B)

Check sub-events 30 times.

During each Chapter, there will be a number of sub-events with characters such as Chlotz, Alec, Mark, Ruby, Triche, and Luce. View 30 of these events, and the trophy will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/02c.jpgThe Secret of Bonds (B)

Give gifts to the heroines 30 times.

While interacting with the heroines, the option to give a gift will appear during most choices. Gifts can be purchased at the Gift Shop once Fort City's level is high enough. Give 30 gifts to the heroines, and this trophy will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/707.jpgFilial Piety (B)

Receive money from your Star Children 30 times.

After leaving a Labyrinth, there is a chance that an independent Star Child will send you some money when you visit the Dorm. Have this happen 30 times, and the trophy will unlock.

This can be easily farmed through 3 steps:

  1. Go to the Dorm, and save your game.
  2. Go to any Labyrinth and immediately escape.
  3. Return to your Dorm and see if you get a gift.

If you receieved a gift from one of your Star Children, reload immediately and repeat Steps 2 & 3 until the trophy unlocks.

If you did not receive a gift from one of your Star Children, start the process again from Step 1.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/ad1.jpgCity's Biggest Family (B)

Give birth to 20 Star Children.

Give birth to 20 total Star Children for this trophy to unlock.

See (S) World's Biggest Family for more information.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/bce.jpgWorld's Biggest Family (S)

Give birth to 100 Star Children.

Give birth to 100 total Star Children for this trophy to unlock.

This can also be farmed through saving before Classmating, then reloading after using up all of your BP. However, with the need to raise Fort City's level to 100, this method should only be used after Fort City is Lv 100.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/d62.jpgIndependence Day (B)

Have 10 Star Children go independent.

Make 10 Star Children independent for this trophy to unlock.

See (S) Child Labor for more information.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/97f.jpgChild Labor (S)

Have 100 Star Children go independent.

Make 100 Star Children independent for this trophy to unlock.

Star Children can be made independent at any level by using the option "Independence" under "Team Edit" at the Dorm. This trophy can be earned without giving 100 unique Star Children independence by saving before making any Star Children independent, make all of your Star Children independent, then reloading and repeat the process. However, with the need to raise Fort City's level to 100, this method should only be used after Fort City is Lv 100.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/a59.jpgClassy Children (S)

Give birth to a Star Child of each class.

Give birth to a Star Child of each class at least once for this trophy to unlock.

There are 30 different classes that newly born Star Children may be given, eight standard classes, ten advanced classes, and twelve special classes. All classes have minimum stat requirements, and special classes may require a special item, be locked to a specific sex, require previous Star Children of specific classes to have reached a specific level, or clear a number of sub-Labyrinths.

[spoiler=c2classimage]Conception2ClassBreakdown.png

Class items can be found in sub-Labyrinths, dropped (1x) or pickpocketed (3x) from monsters. One copy of the item is used up when a Star Child is assigned the class at birth.

SpecialClassItems.png

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/b73.jpgMonster Hunter (B)

Defeat 100 monsters.

This should come naturally through standard story progression. Simply defeat a total of 100 monsters for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/a6e.jpgMonster Blaster (S)

Defeat 500 monsters.

This should come naturally through standard story progression. Simply defeat a total of 500 monsters for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/668.jpgMonster Killer (B)

Instantly killed monsters 100 times.

God's Gift has a special ability that allows him to instantly defeat significantly weaker enemy parties upon impact with them in the Labyrinth. You will need to be walking into the enemy for this ability to trigger, an enemy running into you will trigger a battle as normal. Do this 100 times in any Labyrinth, Lust being the easiest, and this trophy will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/f59.jpgThe Best Defense (B)

Attack a total of 1,000 times.

This should come natually through standard story progression. Use the Attack command in battle a total of 1000 times for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/116.jpgSkill Artist (B)

Use skills a total of 500 times.

This should come natually through standard story progression, as Star Child teams are often more effective using skills. Use skills in battle a total of 500 times for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/6ef.jpgMecunite Artist (B)

Mecunite a total of 30 times.

Mecunite costs 200BP to use, and temporarily combines a party of three Star Children into a powerful robot form. Only one party of Star Children can be Mecunited at a time in battle. Use Mecunite 30 times for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/9e2.jpg Combo Expert (B)

Perform 30 Intercepts.

When an enemy attacks one of your teams, one of the other teams may jump in to try and prevent or reduce damage taken by the attack. The Protagonist's team may perform a counterattack if they jump in, which automatically defeats the enemy Additionally, when one of your Star Children teams attacks, one of the Protagonist's team may jump in and join the attack to try and cause more damage to the enemy. Both of these are Intercepts, and happen randomly and rather rarely (though the frequency increases based on how often your current Star Children have been brought into the Labyrinths with you). When your party has performed 30 of these, this trophy will unlock.

Because of the random nature of Intercepts, this may require grinding. A simple way to do so at no risk is to go to the Lust Labyrinth during Chapter 7. Allow an enemy party to initiate battle & only select Guard until you have earned enough Intercepts for the trophy. This may take a few battles if instant kill Intercepts happen too often.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/4b3.jpgChain Master (B)

Perform a total of 100 Chains.

During Battle, you can boost the chain gauge by attacking points of monsters that show a blue arrow before confirming the command. Skills such as Gran Chain, and Temple Chain can significantly boost the chain gauge. Additionally, skills that attack multiple points on a monster will also result in a higher boost to the chain gauge. Killing an enemy with a blow that would have triggered a chain, however, will instantly reduce the chain gauge. Activate a chain 100 times for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/3a0.jpgGroup Therapy (B)

Take every heroine into the Labyrinths.

This trophy will become unlockable starting with Chapter 4, after the final heroine, Feene, joins the party. Simply take all seven heroines into the Labyrinths at least once for this trophy to unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2696/03f.jpgMemories with Fuuko (S)

View all Fuuko Events.

Joining the party in Chapter 1, Fuuko has 48 events. Events are broken down into 23 Character Story events, 8 Story Comment events, 8 Personal Interaction events, 6 Special Occasion events, and 3 Urban Encounter events.

Character Story events are viewed at both the Church and Academy. The very first event, "The Ritual", seen at the Academy. After viewing "The Ritual", a new Classmating event will be available at the start of each chapter (including Chapter 1). After the Classmating event has been seen, there will be two events that can be viewed at the Academy and must be viewed before the next Classmating event can be seen. The final event of this group are the character endings. These can be farmed by meeting the requirements for all seven, and reloading a save file made right after defeating the Chapter 8 boss.

Story Comment events are viewed exclusively at the Academy, and are chapter-sensitive. Each heroine will have one event per chapter that they are a member of the party. These events must be viewed before defeating the chapter's Dusk Spawner/main boss.

Personal Interaction events are also viewed exclusively at the Acadamy, and can be repeated. A new one will unlock for each heroine at the beginning of each chapter. Serina, Torri, and Feene will 2, 3, and 4, available PI events when they join the party.

Special Occasion events happen exclusively at the beginning of Chapters 5-7.

  • The first event is Pool [Friend], which is not affection-sensitive and can be farmed by reloading the save made after defeating the fourth Dusk Spawner.
  • The second events are Festival [Friend], and Festival [Good], which happen at 0-2 and 3-5 affection respectively. These events can also be farmed by reloading a previous save file, but will require a save before defeating the fifth Dusk Spawner with heroine affection at a minimum to earn them ASAP.
  • The third events are Starmas [Friend], Starmas [Good], and Starmas [Lover], which happen at 0-2, 3-4, and 5-7 affection respectively. Like the Festival events, they can also be farmed by reloading a previous save file, but will require a save before defeating the fifth Dusk Spawner with heroine affection at a minimum to earn them ASAP.

Urban Encounter events can happen at almost any facility in Fort City, for any heroine that has been properly introduced to the protagonist by completing "The Ritual" event with them. These events are affection based and lightly chapter based. There are three versions:

  • "Urban Encounter" at 0-2 affection, Chapter 1+ (No more than 1 affection recommended.)
  • "Take Me In! (1)" at 3-4 affection, Chapter 3+ (No more than 3 affection recommended.)
  • "Take Me In! (2)" at 5-7 affection, Chapter 6+

Guide looks really nice! I only played the demo, still waiting to start the full game (want to finish some other games first =D). Will definitely use your guide when the time comes! Many thanks!

Oh, I do have several questions (maybe it's not clear because I didn't play the full game yet, I'm sorry for that if that's the case):

-What do you mean by "global" database? You mean like, it's a database of all your save file combined?

- Is it hard to max all heroines in one playthrough? By hard, I mean do you need to follow a really tight schedule like in Persona 4? I know you only have 3 "Actions" at a time, so I was wondering.

It's a bit difficult to explain the database, it's like a secondary global save file that keeps track of global statistics, such as events viewed, number of Star Children born, number of them made independent, and the like. It saves these statistics automatically when the relevant event is finished. It's separate from the save file that holds your character levels, teams, items, money.

You get three hearts to use up with interaction events per day, but there's a limitless number of days you can use. Resting at the Dorm, or entering & exiting a Labyrinth comes with no penalties, so you don't need to follow a strict schedule at all.

Ooohh Ok! Thanks =)

So, I'm guessing it's impossible to miss any events unless you advance the story...

For all intent and purposes, you can miss just about any character events, but it's highly unlikely that players will miss the individual character story events. You'll need to Classmate rather regularly to build strong enough teams to deal with the later chapter bosses, and the story events are the best way to increase the affection level which is needed to increase the level cap of Star Children.

The most easily missed events would be the "story comment" ones, because only appear in their relevant chapter. As long as you make sure to view all of them before beating the chapter's Labyrinth, you'll be safe on those.

The others that are easy to miss are the "urban encounters" and the intro dates for chapters 6 and 7, since they're affection-related. It's best to grind the urban encounter events away at the earliest moment possible, or save them for NG+ when you can keep the heroine's affection at bare minimum & then put focus into farming them along with the low affection chapter intro events.

The chapter intro events (Ch 5, 6, and 7), and the endings are best earned through save-exploitation. The game will prompt you to save just before the events directly leading up to the dates/endings. Keeping that save file allows for easy farming of the events. For the Chapter 6 and 7 events (which I highly suggest worrying about in NG+), mostly Chapter 7 cause each heroine has three versions, you'll need to save before fighting the Dusk Spawner and then save to an alternate slot when the prompt happens. Once you've farmed the 0-2 events, you can reload before fighting the Dusk Spawner and increase their affection to 3-4 for the second set of events.

My best suggestion would be to use the table image in the spoiler on Memories with Fuuko as a checklist, and keep track of the events you've seen. A checklist is the best way to keep track of them.

wow, it looks very good! Thanks for the guide!

Looking at the roadmap I have one question because something is confusing... You said that you can get all the endings in the first run but you recommend to get it all on a second run, right? So it's ok if I just get one ending in my first run and all the others in NG+? It looks like the roadmap was written for someone that got all the endings in the first run, so maybe you could explain what people should do if I want to use the 2 playtroughs method.... Or maybe I'm just dumb and couldn't understand the roadmap =P

Thanks!

Actually, I suggest getting all of the endings in the first run. Doing so will actually make the second run only require completion up to the start of Chapter 7. (Unless you need to do the sub-Labyrinths, which you then need to only reach Chapter 8.)

I suggest using two runs to complete all character events, however. Since there's affection-related events at the start of Chapters 6 and 7. Keeping affection at a bare minimum to view all of these events would make the first run far too difficult, in my opinion, since it will severely stunt the ability for strong Star Children. In NG+, however, you retain your Star Children and will be able to breeze through the chapters without increasing affection until working for the Good variants of the Starmas event. (And Urban Encounters if any are accidentally missed in the first run.)

I see, I thought that you needed all the character events to get the endings, that's why I thought that you recommended to get all the endings in the second run, my bad =P.

So, it's possible to max all the heroines relationships on your first run to get all the endings? The story events that you need for each heroine are missable?

Only the first 23 events in each heroine's event list are story events & connected to the ending (event #23 being their unique endings). If you're running to build relationships and make Star Children with the highest level cap possible, it should be near-impossible to miss any of the story events as they automatically take priority over the other interaction events at the Academy when they're available and they're the best events for building affection. (Completing both per chapter will almost always result in a pink bar.)

Astromancer.

No one knows the answer, so I'll ask here.

I'm in Chapter 5, have created many childeren both my trimating and classmating, all with higher stats than any chart i've seen suggests.

I still don't have the option to create one.

I also hear this could be based on affection (needing it to be higher that 4.5 bars), but don't want to go higher than 4 right now, so I can grind out most of the events in the next couple of chapters.

Can anyone please confirm the requirements?

Thanks.

EDIT: I can now confirm you need to have 4.5 or higher affection in order to trigger an astromancer. I just tested it.

Amazingly well done guide Kogoro. You even included charts for the more detail oriented trophies :applause:!

I was hoping someone would get around to writing an English guide for Conception. But when the english trophy list hadn't even been submitted(which I ended up having to do myself;)) I was starting to wonder if enough people would even be playing this game. Should be smooth sailing playing the game with all this info here(including stuff I didn't know yet).

@GeoMaggs: I've updated the chart image accordingly, thanks for the info! If I can get confirmation on Bondsman's requirements, (it appeared on my list before I was compiling information), I'll update the image to also include its requirements. I believe it requires all Advanced Classes to have been made at least once.

@KayCeaEffahless: Thank you very much, and an even bigger thank you for the trophy list! I probably wouldn't have even thought to write a guide if the English list wasn't around for me to start compiling information for ^^; Best of luck on the Platinum!

@PapasitoPenguin: The image for City's Biggest Family contains the string "ad1" which has probably triggered your adblocker. If you can add an exception rule, I'd suggest adding an exception to URLs starting with the string of "http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/", and you shouldn't have problems with trophy images getting blocked anymore. I've replaced the list of items with a table that lists the enemy groups I know to either drop the item, or have it stolen from them.

@Maraku: Semi-Correct. The first 4 events become open during Chapter 1, and can be viewed at any time afterward. Similarly, all of the other Classmating events & the two events following each open up in the same chapter as the number in their title (The two following events need to be viewed before the next Classmating event will trigger as well). The game will warn you during Chapter 7 that it's your last chance to work on any relationships, so these events may lock out entirely after Chapter 7 is complete.

Bondsmage appeard for me once I had access to Feene, and made all the regular Children. Feene was theonly one with the correct stats for Paladin. All other regulars made. But, could also be as soon as you have access to Tri-mating . . . both Tri-mating and Feene happen at the same time, no?

By regulars, I mean the ones on the initial list of "???". I did not have any of the special children made yet.

Also, just checked the chart, and would like to point out that I did have affection greater than 4, but could only make an astromancer after it was higher that 4.5.
