Introduction

Welcome to Mercenary Kings. A unique sidescrolling shooter that features intense strategic action and a rather in depth loot and crafting system. This is not a short and easy platinum by any means, as it requires crafting a large number of items and running through each level within a certain time limit that can be very hard to achieve without proper practice and a good loadout.

This game is very co op oriented, and can be quite difficult at times without playing with good organized partners. All trophies other than the one for revives can be earned in single player, though some are quite difficult to earn solo. I highly recommend playing through the game in co op, as it makes the game much more fun for everyone and most of the challenges and fastest level times much more manageable.

Note that all trophy progress can be track in the pause menu under the "Trophies" heading. This gives an x/x for most of the collection and crafting trophies, as well as number of levels completed in specific ways such as levels completed under the Fastest Time.

Step 1: Complete every mission in the game, Complete all Recruit missions without altering your gun and all Major missions without Rations or First Aid

For the first part of your time playing the game you are simply going to go through and play every story mission, all 112 of them. You don’t really need to focus on any of the collecting trophies as most will come naturally through simply playing the game. If you have a few co op partners then you should make quite a few of the fastest level times, but it shouldn't be something you should concentrate on your first playthrough.

During this step I would also advise going for the Favorite and Major Pain trophies, though it isn't hugely necessary you do if you don't want to. Favorite can be earn during the first rank by not changing weapons from your Bolt45 and not adding parts to it, and Major Pain can be earned during the major rank by not using Rations or First Aid on any of the levels. See each trophies description for more information on them and their requirements.

In this step you should earn:

Baron Bashing (S)

Executioner (B)

Favorite (S)

Hoarder (G)

Coronation (G)

Major Pain (S)

World Hero (G)

Step 2: Complete all missions while beating the fastest time

Now that you have completed the game once and have all weapon parts and bionics available you should be able to go back through the levels again and beat all the fastest times on them. This can be completed solo, but many of them will be much easier and less frustrating with co op partners. This will allow you to split up the objectives in levels that require you to travel through large parts of the map, making everything much faster.

The game displays a star beside each mission you have completed under the fastest time instead of a check mark, so it is easy to keep track of the missions that you have completed for the track and which ones you still need to do.

In this step you should earn:

Speed Runner (G)

Step 3: Grind/Cleanup leftover trophies

At this point you should only have a large number of grind related trophies. Depending on whether you completed them during your first few mission playthroughs you may also need to earn some of the miscellaneous mission related trophies as well.

Note: If you wish to do so before starting to craft the large number of mods, parts, knives, etc. you can make a backup to USB of your game file and keep that after you do whatever grinding you want to do, then revert to that save after crafting items for a trophy. This can help reduce the overall time required to grind materials as you can complete one of the trophies then revert to that save to get all your materials back and keep your trophy.

In this step you should earn if you haven't already:

Blastfighter (B)

Cold Hearted (B)

Denied (B)

Grim Reaper (B)

Is That A Knife (S)

Jack Of All Trades (S)

Liberator (B)

Medic (S)

Millionaire (B)

Poacher (B)

Untouchable (G)

Craftsmanship (G)

Foodie (B)

Pistol Pro (S)

The Bionic Merc (S)

Decorator (G)

Five-Star General (S)

Imperium (P)

Mandragora Island is now your dominion.

Earned simply for earning every other trophy in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/3d9.jpg Baron Bashing (S)

Defeat Commander Byron Baron once.

You will earn this trophy after you defeat The Baron in the Captain rank primary mission called "The Baron Battle". This battle involves fighting the Baron as he flies around in a large hovering aircraft. I would advise mostly avoiding his attacks when he is hovering above you, then hit him with a shock grenade when he moves down to the left side before he zooms across the fight area. This is the best time to attack him as he is close to the ground so you can jump to shoot or knife him.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/d14.jpg Blastfighter (B)

Complete a mission with all parts of the SWAT-12 shotgun equipped.

The SWAT-12 is unlocked once you reach the Lieutenant rank and consists of 3 parts. You only need complete one mission with these three parts equipped for the trophy to unlock, it doesn't matter whether you have other extra parts or non standard ammo equipped.

The required parts are as follows:

Receiver

- $1828.95

- Quality Aluminum (5)

- Steel (5)

- Polymer (4)

- Regular Pin (2)

Barrel

- $914.95

- Quality Aluminum (3)

- Steel (3)

- Polymer (2)

- Regular Pin (1)

Stock

- $685.95

- Quality Aluminum (2)

- Steel (2)

- Polymer (2)

- Regular Pin (1)

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/a43.jpg Cold Hearted (B)

Complete No Negotiation without saving any hostages.

Your main objective in No Negotiation (Corporal Mission #9) is to kill 8 “Abductors”. Abductors are ninja like soldiers who use hostages as shields and will switch between blocking and shooting. With all 8 of these enemies you will need to kill the hostage that the enemy is holding before you kill the enemy so that you don't rescue the hostage. Simply shooting the hostage while the enemy is holding in front of himself will kill them and allow you to "safely" take out the enemy.

There are 12 hostages total in the map. The four that aren't being held by the abductors are scattered around the buildings in various rooms. Be careful in the rooms without abductors as some hostages are hiding behind crates, so it is very easy to accidentally free one without meaning to.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI3POr0O3RQ]Mercenary Kings - 'Cold Hearted' Trophy Guide - YouTube[/ame]

Here is a video by Vuule that shows the correct route to each Abductor and the proper method to take them out without rescuing the hostage the are holding.

Note: You will not be able to rescue Kickstarter backer, “DJ Archangel”, in this mission if you are going for this trophy. See Liberator for information on Kickstarter hostages.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/372.jpg Denied (B)

Defeat a boss before it can escape.

This trophy is earned for defeating a boss enemy before he has a chance to leave the area that you start the fight with them in. When you fight bosses they will attack then after a certain period of time they will move into the environment and switch to another location. You just need to destroy the boss before they have a chance to leave for the first time.

I would recommend doing this on the mission in recruit called “The Steel Soldier”. You can use shock grenades to stun him for a few seconds allowing you to attack freely. This trophy can also be easily earned later in the game against most bosses using the dual Kage mod strategy once you unlock the mods and a higher level knife. This allows you to do large amounts of melee damage and defeat most bosses extremely quickly.

Note: This trophy cannot be earned on a boss that doesn't move to a different area. Only bosses with multiple spawn points that will switch areas midway through a fight can be used to earn this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/cec.jpg Executioner (B)

Defeat over 1000 enemies.

Earned simply for killing a total of 1000 enemies. Animal kills do not count toward this total. Depending on how much you replay levels you should earn this trophy in around the third or fourth rank.

See Grim Reaper.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/f13.jpg Favorite (S)

Clear all missions of any rank consecutively using the same gun parts.

This trophy is earned for doing exactly what it says. Complete all missions of a rank in a row without changing the parts of your currently equipped firearm. I recommend doing this at the start of the game with your Bolt45. Simply finish every mission in the recruit rank without adding a part to your gun and this trophy will unlock after your finish the last mission in the rank. Upgrading anything else on your character is fine, as long as it isn't a gun part. If you buy a gun part you are also still fine to unlock the trophy as long as your don’t finish a mission with that gun part equipped. After you earn the trophy you are free to upgrade your weapon or buy another and won’t need to worry about this trophy after.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/fc7.jpg Grim Reaper (B)

Defeat over 10000 enemies.

Earned for simply defeating 10,000 enemies total. Animal kills do not count toward this trophy. You will probably not earn this through regularly playing the game, so you will most likely need to farm enemies to reach this amount. I advise not purposely farming enemies until you have earn all the crafting trophies, since you will need to kill a large amount of enemies that way anyway it is entirely possible that you could earn it while farming materials.

If you wish to farm enemies I would advice doing it on the mission "Bridge Failure". This mission requires you find 10 pieces of wood, which are easily found by going into the door right beside where you spawn and killing the mandrakes there. If you wish to grind enemy kills simply run back and forth from the door to the waterfall and kill the mandrakes that spawn. Once they stop spawning as frequently simply grab 10 pieces of the large amount of wood that is spawned on the ground to finish the mission. You can normally get 50+ kills in about 2 minutes. This is also good for grinding wood and steel for weapon part crafting.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/deb.jpg Hoarder (G)

Collect over 2000 materials.

Anything that's a material that you pick up from an enemy, animal, or crate counts towards the total. You should get this trophy within a few ranks as long as you are picking up most materials and aren't simply ignoring them. If you want you can use the "Hoarder" bionic mod, which guarantees that every enemy drops a material, at the expense of a reduced chance of rare material drops.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/3ce.jpg Is That A Knife (S)

Defeat the Steel Soldier using only your knife.

I would advise not trying this until you have upgraded yourself to a bit of a better knife, and/or doing this in co op with multiple players. You can earn this trophy on the mission in recruit rank called “The Steel Soldier”. You need to kill the boss by only using your knife and never shooting him. You must not shoot at all inside the boss areas or else you won’t earn the trophy. I would advise trying to earn this trophy in co op or using the dual Kage mod strategy to allow you to output massive amounts of melee damage. You also cannot use stun grenades to stun him, so you will have to be patient with your attacks. You cannot get into a position to attack the boss with your knife when he does the attack where he slams his blade down unless you are behind him, so don't try to damage him at this point.

Unlock all Proficiencies.

You can check on, and activate, your proficiencies in the sub menu by clicking the touch pad and selecting . This could come naturally over time but if you want to speed things up a bit it’s recommended to craft the cheapest item, sell it back to Golden gate, and repeat. I would advise working on all proficiencies before grinding parts for Craftsmanship, as getting all required parts and knives for proficiencies will get you most of the way there.

Brute Force - Craft 10 magnum parts

+5% raw damage with guns

Chemistry - Craft 30 elemental gun parts

+10% elemental damage

CQC - Craft 50 total knives

+20% knife damage

Elemental CQC - Craft 20 elemental knives (Do before 50 total, as this counts towards that amount)

+20% elemental knife damage

Gun Fu - Craft 15 handgun parts

+5% accuracy

Medicine - Craft 20 bionic mods

Nullify 1 side-effect (if a mod has 2 negatives, the first will be nullified)

Selective Fire - Craft 25 assault rifle parts

Burst fire mode (any weapon) * Will negate the full auto fire that machine/sub-machine guns have

Sniping - Craft 20 sniper rifle parts

+1 range

Speedloading - Craft 20 shotgun parts

20% faster reloads

Trigger Mastery - Craft 20 sub-machine gun parts

+1 rate of fire

Weightlifting - Craft 20 machine gun parts

-3kg weight

Storage - Craft 30 ammunitions

+5 gun CAP

Note: You don’t need to have the number of required parts in your inventory all at once, as the proficiencies are cumulative.

Rescue all 6 Kickstarter backer hostages.

This trophy is earned for rescuing all 6 of the special Kickstarter backers that are being held hostage in certain levels. If you go back to a level to rescue one after missing it once you don't need to complete the mission for them to be registered as rescued, simple call the helicopter with your transceiver after you free them to exit the mission and they will be counted as rescued.

Hostages are highlighted on the map below with the green circle, and can only be found in each of the listed missions.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/dc8.jpg Medic (S)

Revive a teammate 10 times with the Adrenaline Shot.

This trophy is earned for reviving downed co op partners a total of 10 times. This can be done either in online or offline co op.

You can carry up to 2 adrenaline needles with you at time, so if you want to boost this trophy with 2 people without playing through co op the rest of the time you will need to play five levels total. Make sure that whoever is dying doesn't have adrenaline in their inventory or they will be automatically revived when they die. You are not invincible when you revive someone so make sure you won't be interrupted during the revive animation.

Note: If you have a vita but no second controller you can use remote play on the vita then use your regular PS4 controller as a player two. This would allow you to do the trophy offline if you wish to.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/9b3.jpg Millionaire (B)

Earn over $1,000,000.

This trophy is awarded after you receive a total of one million dollars through all of your playtime. This includes absolutely every bit of money you earn that increases your current money inventory, meaning that selling items back for cash counts as “earning money”. You most likely won't earn this through your regular mission playthrough, so selling items back to the shop or grinding levels repeatedly for money will most likely be required. If you want to replay a mission to earn quick money, I would recommend replaying the mission "Dead Alive" with two rich mods on. This mission can be completed very fast and with the two rich mods earns $12,000 each time.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/782.jpg Poacher (B)

Hunt over 250 animals.

You should earn this trophy during your playthrough without much need for grinding. Animals spawn in many missions and there are ones that specifically require you hunt animals, so by the time you finish the game you shouldn't need to grind many animal kills, if at all.

You can grind animal kills in the Hunting Grounds area on the right side of the hub (which you will probably need to do to make food items) or in one of the missions that require you to hunt animals.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/9d5.jpg Untouchable (G)

Complete a mission in single player without getting hit.

This trophy is earned for completing a mission in single player without taking any damage. If you don't earn this through regularly playing the game or play through the whole thing co op, I suggest you do this trophy in the Camp Makeover mission in the Recruit rank. This mission simply involves getting two pelts which are found from killing foxes. As long as you don’t run into any of the animals (even bunnies) you shouldn't be able to damage yourself. Depending on how often the pelts drop this mission can be finished in as little as 20 seconds. You can equip the “Hoarder” mod to increase your chances of having the pelts drop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/f78.jpg Coronation (G)

Clear all missions of the game.

This trophy is earned for completing the primary objective in each mission at least once to finish the level. Secondary objectives and time don't matter, so on your first run through you can simply focus on completing the missions. It also doesn't matter whether missions are completed solo or in co op. While going for this trophy it is advised you keep track of any missions you beat the fastest time on, so as to lessen the number of missions you will need to replay later. You can tell when you've completed a mission because it will have a green check mark beside it in the mission select menu.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/04d.jpg Craftsmanship (G)

Craft over 100 knives and 300 gun parts.

This is earned for crafting a total of 100 knives and 300 gun parts. They do not have to be different knives or parts and you do not have to have them all in your inventory at the same time. You are free to repeatedly buy and sell knives or parts over and over to grind the number, as each time you craft a knife/part it adds one to the total for each. It is advised to worry about this trophy after you have crafted all parts and knives required to unlock all proficiencies for Jack of All Trades, as the amount that are required for that trophy will get you most of the way there.

Two items I found easy to grind for were the Wooden Sword for a knife and the Artillery Jager barrel for a gun part. The wooden sword requires 10 wood to make and the barrel takes 2 steel and 1 wood. Both can be grinded by repeatedly playing the mission "Bridge Failure". The mission requires you pick up 10 wood, and also awards wood and steel as end of mission rewards. If you wish to grind for these two parts this is the best mission I found to grind.

Note: Certain gun parts and all types of ammunition do not count toward the total.

List of gun parts that may not count for the trophy:

[spoiler=gunparts]

Patrol Rifle (all)

Firestarter (Stock)

Freedom Fighter (Stock)

STANAG (Magazine)

Polar Brigade (Magazine)

Quantum Raider (Magazine)

Thank you to Brandon_2535 for confirming certain parts don't add to the total.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/11d.jpg Foodie (B)

Activate all 14 food skills.

This trophy is earned for activating each one of the 14 food skills one time. Once you rescue T-Bone in the mission "Under Siege" he will appear in the player HUB to the right of Choppie. T-Bone grants you single mission perks or skills that vary depending on the type of food you give him. However, these perks are not guaranteed each time you give him food. He will require one main food item (bone, small meat, medium meat, or large meat) and you have the option of adding a secondary food item (dragon fruit or papaya). Dragon Fruit gives a slightly higher HP bonus to your meal, whereas adding Papaya gives a slightly higher chance of getting a skill. It is recommended to use Papaya for each item as it gives a higher chance of being given a skill.

Bone:

- Coating : +10% electric resistance

- Lukewarm : +10% cryo resistance

- Refresh: +10% incendiary resistance

- Sift: +50% damage reduction

- Sterilize: +10% caustic resistance

Small Meat:

- Al Dente: +10% health from needles, rations, and first aid

- Mince: +3% accuracy

- Mix: +10%

Medium Meat:

- Butcher: +10% knife damage

- Grind: +3% gun damage

- Whip: +1 round per second

Large Meat:

- Cauldron: +3 weapon CAP

- Degrease: -3kg

- Garnish: +5% elemental damage

As mentioned above, these skills will only be active for one mission and there is no guarantee you will get one every time. If you want to grind the food skills you can simply enter a mission then leave the mission using the transceiver to be able to get a new skill. Going into the hunting grounds doesn't allow you to get another skill.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/a52.jpg Major Pain (S)

Clear all Major rank missions without using Rations nor First-Aid kits.

This trophy is awarded for finishing each Major rank mission one time without using rations or first aid. This trophy is not as hard as it may seem, as you are still able to use adrenaline needles during missions and have them count toward the trophy. Most missions just require you to be careful and not rush through resulting in unnecessary damage. For the boss it is recommended that you use the dual Kage mod technique to take them out easily and painlessly.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/e21.jpg Pistol Pro (S)

Clear all 10 Primary missions of the game with the Bolt 45.

This trophy is earned for clearing all primary missions in each rank with the Bolt45 being equipped as your receiver. You cannot have any parts equipped on the gun or it won’t count toward the trophy (this includes different ammo types).

This trophy can be done easily in co op if you are alright with making two runs through a level. One person can equip whichever gun they wish then the other person equips only the Bolt45. Finishing the mission counts for the person with the Bolt but not for the other, so it would be necessary to switch and play through the mission once each with the Bolt.

The easiest way to earn this trophy solo is to use the dual Kage mod technique. Because you can stack two mods you can equip two of the Kage mod, which increases your melee damage by a total of 300%. With a high level knife you can do over 4000 damage per knife hit on most bosses, which makes 9 out of the 10 ridiculously easy. This is best played in solo mode, and the best strategy is to use shock grenades to stun the boss then attack them repeatedly with your knife to do massive damage in a short amount of time. Most bosses (aside from the computer boss) can be defeated in mere minutes. For the computer boss you cannot use melee on it's second part where you need to shoot the eyes in the screen. The computer boss is best done in co op with one person using a powerful gun and the other only equipping the Bolt, then switch and run through with the other person using the Bolt.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/2d6.jpg Speed Runner (G)

Beat the fastest time of all missions of the game.

This trophy is earned for finishing each level faster than the “Fastest Time”, which is listed on the clear screen when you complete a level. The game also shows a star beside the mission name in the mission select screen if you have finished the mission under the fastest time, so it is easy to keep track of which ones you still need to do. All missions can be cleared solo but can be made easier in co op by splitting up the objectives on some of the levels that require you to go many places on the map. I would advise not seriously going for all the clear times until you have completed every level once, because at that point should have access to all possible upgrades and it will make your time much easier than trying to use weaker weapons.

A good setup for doing everything solo is to have two Sprinter+ mods equipped and to have a light gun. This lets you run through most level extremely fast as long as you know where you are going.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/5ca.jpg The Bionic Merc (S)

Craft all Bionic Mods.

There are a total of 45 bionic mods for you to craft. You must make each Bionic Mod at least one time each to earn this trophy, making the same multiple times doesn't count. After crafting 20 (total) bio mods you will unlock the “Medicine” proficiency which allows you negate 1 negative side effect from an equipped Biomod.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/365.jpg Decorator (G)

Craft 20 Ornaments and 20 Banners.

This trophy is earned after crafting 20 ornaments and 20 banners. Neither have any in game effect other than being decoration, so you shouldn't worry about doing this until late in the game and you have enough money and resources to waste on decorations. You cannot sell back banners or decorations, so it would be recommended you craft the 20 cheapest of each so that you don't need to grind for large amounts of money or rare resources.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/711.jpg World Hero (G)

Defeat the final boss.

This trophy is earned for defeating the final boss, which is in the primary mission in the General rank. The boss is extremely easy while playing solo, and can be finished in under a minute with a good gun or with knifing him with the dual Kage mod technique.

To most easily beat him toss a stun grenade at him after he transforms and starts his first attack animation to stun him, then attack him until he transforms again. Once he stops swooping and takes his hands off his chest jump and throw another shock grenade at him, then attack him repeatedly until he dies. If done properly you can kill him without him being able to even start an attack. The fastest I have been able to finish the mission in is 36 seconds.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/65e.jpg Five-Star General (S)

Reach the Five-Star General rank.

This trophy is earned for achieving the rank of Five-Star General, which is the final rank after the regular General rank. You will not earn this playing the game regularly, and will need to grind for it to reach the required RP amount. You need to reach 46069 RP and then beat the final boss again to reach the Five-Star General rank. I would currently recommend replaying the final boss to grind for RP, as you can kill him in under a minute and the mission awards 1024 RP each time.

And there we go guide up. Why I decided to stay up until 7 am to do this I'll never know. Feedback and whatnot welcome, and please point out mistakes in spelling and such I probably missed due to staying up way too late doing this.

Special thanks the NY_Madness for putting up with our co op shenanigans and being patient when Dispy and I were discussing random weapon loadouts.

I have an useful tip for the "Is That A Knife" trophy.

While the Steel Soldier is vulnerable (I waited until I was behind him), jump up and spam the melee button. Your character should float in the air while repeatedly doing damage to the enemy. Makes the battle extremely easy without the need for any mods.

I'd like to point out that I was using the "Freeman Dagger" as my melee weapon. I'm not sure if that actually matters or not because that's the only knife I have tried.

That's pretty much the strategy for most of the bosses if you are trying to melee them. :p The only way you can actually hit the Steel Soldier with melee is by jumping. The hang you get when you hit with the knife in mid-air helps you get more hits in when you jump. Happens with every knife, not any specific ones. :D

I assume the knives have different speeds then, because I was able to stay suspended in the air while attacking. I hit him a couple of times earlier in the mission with one-hit attacks and he kept retreating. Once I discovered I could use the spam attack, I was able to defeat him in one jump.

Edit: I just tried it again. It took me two jumps to completely kill him. I definitely stayed suspended in the air while spamming the attack too.

I also tried comparing the starting knife to the "Freeman Dagger" on the test dummy in the base camp. The starting knife didn't keep me suspended, but the "Freeman Dagger" definitely keeps me in the air until I stop spamming the attack.

May want to add something in the guide about this method.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/2121/3ce.jpg Is That A Knife (S)

Defeat the Steel Soldier using only your knife.

It is most advised to stun the boss with a shock grenade before attacking him to get the most damage in.

I had a ton of trouble unlocking this trophy & it finally popped the one time I made sure to NOT use any shock grenades?

Prior to this, I ran through the level 10-15 times without any luck & each time I used a shock grenade while I was in the boss area. I even tried going through the entire level using only my knife + shock grenades on the Steel Soldier & still had no luck. I finally decided to try it without using any grenades on him at all & it popped immediately after he died.

I think its possible you may just need to use the knife when you are in his area, nothing else. Someone please check me on this, im curious to see if my game is bugged or if the trophy description is vague.

Either way, thanks for the guide ggamer. I saw you mention in a thread earlier this week you were working on one, glad you were able to bring it together.

Hmm, me and Dispy both think that we did use a shock grenade on him when we got it before. I'd need someone else to check this out too, because I can't anymore.

Edit: Ya now that we think about it we don't think we did. Sorry about that. :(

Awesome guide gagegamer15 and Dipsy. Stop making PS4 guides so I can actually use one of them for once. :chair:

That one I do like. Are you alright if we include it? :D

Pretty sure that's what he meant by "If you're interested". :p

So is this game anything like Metal Slug at all? That's what it reminds me of. :D

I thought so but I really like getting explicit consent from people for any videos I put in. :p

Really the only similarities between this and Metal Slug are that it's a 2D Side scroller where you shoot guns at enemies. It's a lot more tactical overall because you need to know what you're doing with your loadout or else you'll get screwed by bosses. If you're set up properly you can race through most levels and destroy the bosses ridiculously fast (like I've managed to do finishing the entire last level in 36 seconds ). I find it really fun once you figure out what you're doing, though the beginning can be frustrating and the current bugs and crashing aren't fun to deal with.

I've got a PS3 game that nobody has done a guide for yet that I've got my sights set on so once I get around to that you can probably use that guide. ;)

Of course :)

(I'll be making a video for the Kickstarter hostages as well if you're looking for a video. Need to obtain 1 or 2 ranks more before I can save the last one. Probably tomorrow.)

Alright cool. :D That would be good as well for people who might not like the images Dipsy found. Including both would be great.

It answers the age old question of, "What would Scott Pilgrim vs The World be like with guns instead of super powers?" :p

Unlike Metal Slug there is a shared pool of continues, you don't pilot any mechs (except for 1 quick mission towards the end), and you can only shoot/stab on an X and Y axis.

Sorry for wasting your time ch4fx :/

No time wasted my friend. I was able to complete my fastest time for that level, received $800 each time (I believe that amount is correct), & farmed some basic materials which im sure will come in handy for the crafting trophies.

Thanks to you for the guide as well, Dipsy. I didnt realize you guys worked together on this.

The basic materials are more important that you may realize, especially once you start unlocking everything o.O

Thanks but it's definitely more his guide than mine, BB Code isn't really my thing :p
