daevv
This worked for me today. Able to get the platinum! Excellent guide. One thing I would reword is the description of the "In The Zoo" trophy. I thought the rocket launcher guy was on or close to the bridge. He killed me twice before I located him in the tower just above where you pick up the explosives. Can confirm the Carver Style glitch still works (as of December 2014). When I found out that I couldn't back-up my saves to a USB because they're locked, I was worried because I thought I only had one shot at it. But it did work on the first try. Just do the steps mentioned in the guide... 1. From the main menu, choose Campaign 2. Choose new campaign. 3. Choose Hard. 4. When warned that your previous checkpoints will be erased, confirm it and move on. 5. Quit to XMB immediately after step #4. 6. Relaunch Far Cry Classic. 7. Resume your last checkpoint. Moijk
While I have yet to get the platinum, I took the Wildlife Safari (dam) trophy *with dying*. I landed on a too steep incline when taking the last jump over the lava and died, spawned again and thought I ought to play on just to see how the route should be. And when I managed to get to the end - the trophy popped up. So at least dying in the lava didn't void my trophy. Love you guys, my second platinum is now completed! Now on to far cry 2. No hope for a platinum there though, given the difficulty. Edited February 3, 2015 by PainOfDemise Please use the edit button instead of double posting. I tried like 10 times and it didn't pop until I didn't pick up ammo. I died several times and reloaded and it still popped.
RDRHELPmePlease
I bought this and Blood Dragon during the sale and what can I say this game sure was a gamechanger for its time. Now my Far Cry collection is complete when somebody views my trophies (I don't have Far Cry 2 anymore... ugh game gives me the creeps). Started on easy and well this is a so so port. Heavy FPS drops and even though it's on easy it is quite difficult. Well I'm only on the third level but I'm hoping to platinum this when I get the time and chance (ok I always have time just not the will it seems). Will read through this thread regarding the save file exploit, great method, thanks.

sterk1ller
For the ninja Jack trophy i found another way that worked way better for me, as the guards near the hut were always spotting me damn it! Found it in a web site, ill paste the method here if anyone else is having problems with it "I also hugged the left side. Here's how I think it can be done with minimal frustration... First of all, I can confirm that restarting from a checkpoint is ok. There is a checkpoint just as you approach the objective, which is really handy for dealing with the guards you need to eliminate. When you start, equip your MP5SD (you apparently start with one if you replay an individual chapter) and your rock (just in case). Scan the area with your binoculars to tag everyone you can and do an occasional re-check as you advance. Hug the left wall and advance up the canyon. You don't need to go very slow here. There's only one guy who is a problem. He's wandering in the forest near you, perhaps 2/3 of the way to the checkpoint. Just drop him with the MP5 to make sure he doesn't notice you. Nobody will see him go down. Once you get to the checkpoint, keep going, hugging the wall, until you get to a fairly large, light- colored rock. Stop at this rock and wait for a minute or so for a soldier to walk by and drop him with the MP5. He will walk right past the rock and not see you, so you don't even need to peek. Nobody is going to see that guy die, either. This is where you need to stop hugging the wall. Peek around the rock. There should be three guys in front of the objective. Between you and the soldiers there will be two rocks, sort of at the edge of a drop-off. Wait until the guys are not looking and move towards those rocks, then go prone. At this point you should be able to pop up and get a good view of the area in front of the objective. Wait until the guys are clustered together and drop them as a group. On easy difficulty they'll go down with just a bullet or three, so you can get all three with one clip. Now you can just grab the objective unopposed. Alternatively, you can try to use your rock to lead one or more of the guys away for a kill, but I did not need to do that."

Naps
Thank you thank you THANK YOU SnowVixen for discovering this superb glitch. Resumed the game after doing the glitch and I was already at the very last check point - with "default Volcano weapons" in hand... Just fired all my grenade launcher ammo and every baddie was dead even before I left that huge centre structure... ran towards the "hiding place" and threw a single frag - cutscene shows and then follow the trophy and the plat! Surely made this wonky (but beautiful) game super easy. AND of course to our guide creators Harry and Warbear. Your walkthrough had made tackling this game a lot quicker. Cheers to you all! jaycee_88
thanks for the glitch. Got platinum. Reloaded the last check point, used the grenade launcher, went in the room and shot the guy. Edited February 16, 2016 by jaycee_88

fingerpointer10
Great guide! Very helpful so far. Question about oceanic vista... Does it have to be completed in one chapter or is it cumulative across a playthrough??
Warbear
It is cumulative. I remember going to chapter select for the glider kill.
