Section Two Introduction

Atomic Ninjas is an online only 2D arcade style action/brawler at a budget friendly price. The combat system is not very deep making it accessible to almost anyone. There are several game modes and maps available to help keep you from getting bored too quickly and some funny (albeit repetitive) one liners to keep you smiling.

There is cross platform play between PS3 and Vita systems and also cross progress/trophies, but only as far as your challenges and ranking. Rank and challenge data is stored on the game's server meaning Trials and tribulations (S) and Atomic Ninja (G) will auto-pop, but all other trophies need to be earned on their own systems.

It's possible to boost all of the trophies except Let the party begin! (B) by yourself (if you have enough controllers) or against bots. Playing against bots can be a bit tedious at times however depending on which trophy you're going for. If you need a partner to help fill a lobby or to boost use the Trophy Boosting Thread - PlaystationTrophies.org.

Section Three Walkthrough

Step One: Ninja Academy

This is the game's tutorial and is required before you can play online.

Trophies Earned

(B) Fresh out of school

Step Two: The First 8 Matches

The majority of trophies will be earned in this step. Focus on all match type and action specific trophies. Use the same Super Ability for each match. Create a four player match, play and win Deathmatch and Objectives matches. Die 20 times in one match, blow up the rocket and get 1000 points in one Deathmatch.

Trophies Earned

(B) Ninja costume party

(B) Let the party begin!

(B) Small victory

(B) Massacre

(S) Overpowered

(S) Deathmatch champion

(S) Objectives champion

(H)(B) Don't follow the light!

(H)(B) Happy New Year!

Step 3: The XP Grind

Focus on any remaining Ninja Trials and grind out the remaining XP needed to reach level 30. Boosting on King of the Hill matches will level you up quickest, allowing for up to 4800 points per match.

Trophies Earned

(S) Trials and tribulations

(G) Atomic Ninja

Trophy Guide

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/55B.jpg Fresh out of school (B)

Complete the Ninja Academy.

Loading the game for the first time will take you directly to Ninja Academy and must be competed before beginning online play. This is the game's training mode and will give a quick overview of the game's controls and weapons.

If you completed Ninja Academy while playing the demo the trophy will not be unlocked for you. Simply return to the main menu, select and replay Ninja Academy and the trophy is yours.

Unlock a new ninja.

New characters are unlocked by leveling up in game, with the first unlockable character available at only level 2. Depending on which game mode and length you choose you should have this after your first or second match.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/846.jpg Let the party begin! (B)

Create & start an online match with three other people in it.

Choose any game mode and length and wait for the lobby to fill with players. You may not use bots and local players will not count. You need four unique PSN Ids in the lobby. If you see people filling in spots with local players (you'll be able to tell since the ID will be the same) kick them before starting the match.

If you're having trouble finding enough people to join your game use the http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/atomic-ninjas/221755-trophy-boosting-thread.html.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/F71.jpg Small victory (B)

Win a round in Objectives in online match.

Simply play a match of Objectives and win any round. You do not need to win the entire match for the trophy to unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/96D.jpg Massacre (B)

Get 1000 score in a single Deathmatch online match.

Kills count for 20 points in Deathmatch with extra points for successfully landing hits, so you're looking for around 45 kills for the trophy. If you're boosting and very efficient you may be able to get this in a five minute match, but others may want to up the timer to ten minutes. If you're playing with randoms or bots your best bet is to use fifteen minutes.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/BDD.jpg Overpowered (S)

Fully upgrade a Super Ability

Super Abilities are the perks you bring with you into matches, all of which max out at level 3. In order to reach level 3 you need enter a match with the same perk eight times. Using five minute matches will make this a bit quicker.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/308.jpg Trials and tribulations (S)

Complete all Ninja Trials.

There are a total of 30 trials for you to complete. None of them are very difficult and generally only require you to experiment with the game's weapons and match types. The only trials that should provide any frustration are the ones requiring you to win specific round types in Objectives matches, and only because they rounds are chosen at random.

If you are playing on both PS3 and Vita this is one of two trophies that will auto pop. Once you earn the trophy on one system simply loading the game on the other system will trigger the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/89B.jpg Deathmatch champion (S)

Win a four-player Deathmatch online match.

Choose a Deathmatch game and come out on top. This can be earned against online opponents or with local players, but not against bots.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/E7E.jpg Objectives champion (S)

Win a four-player Objectives online match.

Choose an Objectives game and come out on top. This can be earned against online opponents or with local players, but not against bots.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/040.jpg Atomic Ninja (G)

Reach rank 30.

Sure to be your last trophy, you need approximately 66,000 points to reach level 30. If you're boosting you can play King of the Hill for high point payouts. The Wormhole map is recommended since the "hill" stays in the same spot for the entire match. In a fifteen minute match you can earn a maximum of 4800 points.

If you are playing on both PS3 and Vita this is one of two trophies that will auto pop. Once you have reached level 30 on one system you will need to complete one match on the other system for the trophy to unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/D74.jpg Don't follow the light! (B)(H)

Die 20 times in a single online match.

You may come by this naturally playing in fifteen minutes rounds of Deathmatch. If not it can be boosted in any match by simply running into the environmental hazards. Again the Wormhole map is a good choice, since regardless of where you spawn you can just run and jump to the outside edge of the map for a quick death.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2191/AE0.jpg Happy New Year! (B)(H)

Explode the rocket.

Simply ride the rocket until you blow up. If you are not using the Rocket Man perk it will take about 6 seconds of continuous use to explode. This must be done in an online match and cannot be done during Ninja Academy.

Seems a little dumb that "Ninja Costume Party" and "Overpowered" don't auto-pop. If you level everything up on the Vita and then play on PS3 you don't have any way to get those trophies. Does deleting your game save on both the Vita and PS3 reset your progress on leveling so you can unlock characters and upgrade super abilities again? Or am I missing something completely about how to get these trophies if you are already maxed out?

If I remember correctly the data for for those trophies are stored locally and not on the game's server so it should work. I'm not able to test that since I can't use an alt account on my Vita but if you get it to work post back here and I'll add it to the guide and give you credit for figuring it out.

If you go in to options on the main menu there is an option to clear save data. I just did that and it put me back at Level 1 so I was able to unlock and character and then fully upgraded an ability to full and got my 100%

Edit: The exact wording is "Reset Save Data" not clear save data

So, I picked this game up again and found a quite easy way to get the last ninja trial if you don't have the option of boosting with several controllers.

1. Choose Quick Match, any character and camouflage as your ability.

2. Select Team Objectives, 5 minutes, Infernus map, three bots and start match.

Now, the idea is that you can stay still and not be shot while your bot team mate wins the match for you. Depending on what type of objectives game is randomly chosen, your chances may wary. You may also be shot accidentally, though they can't see you. You can try other maps but I found this one to be quite good, and I got it on my second attempt.

This is also a good way to boost to level 30, as you'll get plenty of points without having to do anything. Choose 15 minute games and leave it on in the background while you do other stuff.
