Introduction

Air Conflicts: Vietnam is flying sim and the third game in the series. Trophy-wise, it's also the fastest and easiest game of them all, with the negatives of little in-game directions and terrible graphics The campaign takes around 6 hours and online between one and two hours. The trophy likely to cause the most difficulty is finding 5 players for Cracking Good Show due to the sparsity of activity on the servers.

Walkthrough

To make things as easy as possible, before starting the game go to "Options" and change "Sidewinder Accuracy" to "100% (post-modern)", which will make your rockets always hit their target. You can also change the difficulty to "Easy" in the options menu.

Step 1:

Play through the story, collecting the two collectible planes (the A6M Zero Warrior & the F4U Corsair Warrior - see trophy descriptions for locations) or get them via chapter select after the story.

During this step, you should also pay attention to Team Mate!. For this trophy you need to rescue a MIA pilot that crashed during a mission. It's partially luck-based but you can force it to happen by crashing one of your planes. For the full method, see the trophy description.

Finally, you should make sure you obtain Fleet Admiral. This requires you to reach max rank (Fleet Admiral) with one pilot. There is enough XP to level at least two pilots to max rank by just playing through the game, but if your pilot manages to die you have to start over and level a new pilot. Luckily, the simple nature of the game means that you should never die.

Nothing is really missable, but if you miss those two, you will need to chapter-select them. After playing the campaign through you should have:

(S)

The First Cut!

(B)
Vietnam Newbie

(S)
Ship Sinker

(G)
Vietnam Veteran

(S)
Bad experience

(G)
Ace

(G)
Vietnam Survivor

(G)
A6M Zero Warrior

(G)
F4U Corsair Warrior

(G)
Team Mate!

(G)
Fleet Admiral

Step 2 (Optional)::

If by any chance you missed the two collectible planes in Step 1, now is the chance to get them via chapter select. Furthermore, if you missed rescuing a MIA pilot or need to farm XP for max rank, now is the time to go back and do it.

Step 3:

You will likely need to boost the online trophies as the servers are dead and even if you get a game they can be troublesome. See the trophy descriptions for the most preferable match settings for boosting and use the Trophy Boosting Thread to find partners.

You will firstly want to get Good Show & Cracking Good Show out of the way. These trophies require you to place in the top half and first respectively in match of 6 players. They do stack, so just win one match and you will get both.

After that, you should focus on Multiplayer Ace & Dogfight Ace. They require you to get a streak of 3 kills and a total of 30 kills respectively in a (minimum 1v1) online match.

Now if you still need Multiplayer Veteran, just play a few more games to unlock it and your (P) along with it. After this you should have all the trophies in the game:

(S)

Good Show

(G)
Cracking Good Show

(S)
Multiplayer Ace

(S)
Dogfight Ace

(G)
Multiplayer Veteran

(P)
Platinum

Miscellaneous

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/52E.jpg Team Mate! (G)

Rescue an MIA pilot!

You should pay attention to this trophy to ensure you don't miss it. After finishing missions, the statistics screen will tell you if there have been casualties or MIA (Missing In Action) pilots. If one of your pilots has gone MIA, you will get the option to search for him after completing a mission. Choose "Yes" and land in various locations on the map until you find him. Locations are marked with glowing green circles and are randomised.

Note: You can also change pilot (by pressing and holding :r1:) and deliberately crashing to force a pilot to go MIA.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/3D1.jpg Fleet Admiral (G)

Reach max rank (Fleet Admiral) with any pilot.

I unlocked this during the 15th mission of the game in the second campaign. You get XP by killing enemies and you can gain extra XP in various missions as there are more enemies than the mission requires you to actually kill. If your pilot dies, you have to start levelling a new one. You can change pilot and see the rank of your current one at the "Plane Select" menu before each mission. Press :square: to choose Squadron and then :cross: to choose Pilots.

Multiplayer

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/E43.jpg Good Show (S)

Place in top half in multiplayer match with at least 6 players

Please see the description of Cracking Good Show for more details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/177.jpg Cracking Good Show (G)

Place first in multiplayer match with at least 6 players

This stacks with Good Show; all you have to do is win a game with 6 players involved to unlock both trophies.

Set the parameters to:

Capture the Flag

3 point limit .

The hardest part of this trophy is finding 5 other players to finish the match with, so make us of the Trophy Boosting Thread to find partners.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/176.jpg Multiplayer Ace (S)

Perform 3 kills in row in MP

Please see the description of Dogfight Ace for more details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/84D.jpg Dogfight Ace (S)

Shoot down 30 players in multiplayer!

To boost this, start a match with the following parameters:

1vs1

Helicopters only

Deathmatch

10 kill limit

or

2vs1

Helicopters only

Deathmatch

5 min limit

With the first method you only need one partner, but you will have to play 3 matches each to get 30 kills. With the second, you will need two partners but you can get all 30 kills in one game.

To find a partner, please search here: Trophy Boosting Thread

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1927/EEF.jpg Multiplayer Veteran (G)

Play 15 multiplayer matches to the end

For this trophy, select the following parameters:

1vs1

Choose plane

Capture the Flag

3 point limit

This is the fastest way to finish matches. Do this trophy after all other online trophies to lessen the grind. Remember to use your afterburner (:triangle:) to gain more speed and make matches go quicker.

If the pilot you're working on dies, can you just kamikaze all your pilots to start over the mission or from checkpoint and get him back like in pacific carriers?

Dont know but i suspect that it works same way as in pacific carriers. But mostly there is checkpoints and if you die it restarts automatically.

Update to Guide Writer for PS4 version

<<To make things as easy as possible, before starting the game go to "Options" and change "Sidewinder Accuracy" to "100% (post-modern)", which will make your rockets always hit their target. You can also change the difficulty to "Easy" in the options menu.>>

This option was not found on the PS4 options No Sidewinder Accuracy

Also the Campaign is longer with bonus missions tossed in at end PS4 version does not end after credits of 3rd Campaign. You need to play the Lost Letters for the Campaign to finish.

By the way the camera is worse than PS3 version. I swear nobody ever bothered to test this game before release
