3/10.

Event and ending-wise, it's easier than Atelier Ayesha. Defeating the ultimate version of the last boss however will take some planning. Also takes a while too, 2 playthroughs and about 60-80 hours. With prior planning and a guide it can probably be done in 50 hours though.

Then get working on that guide man! ;)

I give it a 3/10.

Like everyone else said, its a lot easier then the previous atelier game with the events and hard to miss which i manage to do :p Nothing too hard about the last boss once you know what to do and how to abuse the draw. Like any atelier, as long as you plan this (P) will come in time.

I would rate the challenge a solid 3. The character events this time require no effort to activate, with nothing hidden you just follow the !. Term assignments are very quick and can be completed before the first month is done giving lots of time to level up and farm equipment. The only reason I gave it a 3 was the final hard boss battle on hard mode, my attempt of the last boss took 4 times and went like this.

Attempt 1. No uber gear or items. Well I almost lasted 10 turns.

Attempt 2. Uber gear, bad items. Very slow battle and got crushed at last stage.

Attempt 3. Uber Gear and items. This one was a little bad luck, hit last stage after a few double draws and boss killed my group using its aoe skill a bunch of time in a row.

Attempt 4. Uber Gear and items. Again hit last boss at the end of last stage, but it did not use aoe so no one died. One double draw later equaled victory.

Voted a 3 as well.

I have played all atelier series starting from Rorona, and for me, Escha and Logy is the simplest and easiest one to platinum. The only hard thing is the battle with level 99 Flameu if theres no planning and strategy. Character events are also almost impossible to miss.

Logy is awesome, too! :D

I enjoyed playing this game.

All trophies, except A Grand Triumph, are quite easy to get. Character events are hard to miss. The reason I gave 4 because of the ultimate version of big boss gave me a hard time. Overall, this game is as easy as Ayesha to platinum. Love them both. :p

6-7 as always in my rating starting with 5 as the lowest, meaning for others this would be something like a 4-6.

I still can't believe how many people say this and Ayesha is easy or that Level does not matter when it is wrong. Level does matter. Can you defeat an enemy 50 levels higher than you. Yes, you can. In fact the Hopeless classified enemies can level you up very quickly in New Game+ as you can fight them very well, depending on your equipment even very efficiently. Still, higher stats are higher stats and even if you get everything necessary with equipment +x through Level up still gives you additional status bonuses and that is always good. Also, if you don't have all that good stuff fight a level 30 enemy with a level 3 team. You will not win. If you are Level 30 then and even if you have not the greatest equipment you very well can win. So level does matter because either higher stats are always good, no matter how insignificant they are during one level up or simply because you do not always have the best equipment and/or experience.

Also, those Platina are not "easy". I have all 5 Ateliers and while the gameplay has improved so you cannot miss your events that easily now it still requires you to make almost complete use of the game mechanics. If you use guides, so you already know what to do or have all the experience you need already because you actually make use of what the game gives you, make the best equipment, use combos in battles and generally know what to do, then of course it is already easier. That it is difficult is defined by the step before, so what and how much it requires for you to make it relatively easy and the game requires you to make full use of. Such as the Raging Dragon Slag and Flameu LV 99 never ever are easier than Demon (Rorona), Evil Face (Totori) or Masked G (Meruru). The battle system of Ayesha and Escha and Logy even requires more control to not get overwhelmed that easy in those battles and if you deal full damage with your combos already that is only because you already have overcome those obstacles, either with guides or your own training or anything. As I say always you cannot train to become a world champion and then say becoming it was easy. Of course in the end it was easier. But it required training to be easier. If the Ateliers would be easy you could play them absolutely normal and face every situation unprepared, meaning you also don't need to make full and efficient use of the gameplay. By the way, I did not use a guide for the first playthrough - only now that I want to get the last few event trophies and New Game+ is way faster so even without a guide 60-80 hours are not necessary. That would be for someone who really needs to try out every single thing to learn it and makes multiple mistakes, learns from those as well, et cetera. Other than that it can be done faster - even with its difficult elements, except Flameu wants so much time for you to be needed (and you don't use a guide as said) for her to find out how to effectively fight her.

My conclusion about Escha and Logy itself is, it is really a great Atelier and definitely my second favourite one.

Giving it a 7, the Ultimate Flameu fight is some BS. Level 99, have both Logy's and Escha's best attack items for double draw, bought all researches and still can't beat her. I got to the winter stage once or twice and she just DOES NOT STOP ATTACKING and taking away your gauge pushing me all the way to doing nothing but getting attacked and trying to heal while she continues to heal from attacking me. (I have gotten plats for both Atelier Ayesha and Atelier Meruru) but this boss is driving me nuts.

Voted 3.

And i thought ayesha was easy lol

Originally i'll vote 2 but Ultimate Flameu upped it by 1

She's not that hard tho, i did beat her on lvl 68 but you need ultimate equipment tho

Along with some uber escha & logy items for double draw II

And my elixir was my lifesaver, it had auto activation when my two alchemists are low hp lol

Like cetra, escha & logy is easily my second favorite in the atelier series. meruru is still holding the throne for me :D

Flameu wasn't that hard. I one-shoted her normal form and two-shoted her ultimate one.

So she is hard. That is a relative comment. The normal circumstances are different.

Like cetra, escha & logy is easily my second favorite in the atelier series. meruru is still holding the throne for me

Meruru is my third but I can't wait for Shallie. This series seems to be heavily improving and to be even more popular in the West.

I pretty much have the platinum, just need to get the remaining endings. I'm giving the game a 4. Event wise, this game was the easiest to trigger and access at the end. The only real tricky part was Ultimate Flameu, because I did struggle with her a little bit, would have been much easier if I made a better knowledge book. Also happened to miss the Elixer Base in BOTH playthroughs, don't make the same mistake as I did, that item makes fighting her much more easier.

4, on par with Rorona Plus as both are pretty easy mostly but with bosses that can be a pain(just one is Escha and Logy's case, but I found Ultimate Flameu to be a bit harder than any of Rorona's bosses).

Maybe could have been a 3 for me if I just made a better Dimension Book in my first playthrough.

This title is even easier than Ayesha to platinum, but not as fun. You have to play through the game twice, which adds unnecessary hours towards completion. While Threia and Logy were cool, the rest of the cast doesn't hold up like others have in previous entries. One thing worth noting is that you don't have to break all of the colored honeycombs in order to fight Ultimate Flameu. You can just break the first one and the trophy will pop. I recommend playing as Escha first so you can start Logy's file with a couple of Knowledge Books; the superior of the two exclusive attack items. Pay attention to the red "!" and you're good to go. Overall, a 2/10.

Very easy. Everything is very hard to miss as long as you remember to rotate characters in your party. Also, you can get the Flameu trophy with just breaking one honeycomb and that fight is pretty much the same as normal Flameu.

Overall, 1/10.

Platinum took me 43 hours.

How hard this game is really depends on whether you understand the alchemy system. Even this game doesn't do a very good job explaining things but they did better in this one than on Ayesha which i didn't even finish because i got stuck and everything went down the train.

For veterans of the series this game can easily be a 3 point game but i'm not surprised that only 42% managed the pre Flameau (or what ever she was called) boss.

Anyways. I guess i would personally give the game four. There was lot of things that i didn't learn until i was on the second play through and if i had know what i know now the end game would have been less of hassle.
