  • Number of missable trophies: None.
  • Glitched trophies: None.
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No.

Introduction:

Welcome to Tekken Revolution! Announced in early June 2013, Tekken Revolution is a free fighting game available from the PlayStation Store. There is no subscription required to enjoy this game so once downloaded, it's yours to keep forever. Included in this Tekken game is a full Arcade Mode, an eight-character roster (however more can be unlocked), online servers, and a full PSN trophy list. If you've ever felt unsure about picking up an installment of this franchise, now is the perfect time to see what's in store for you. So what are you waiting for? Go download Tekken Revolution now to get a taste of the fighting game action!

Tekken Revolution has a simple trophy list and requires minimal skill, much like the other Tekken games available for purchase on the PS3. In a nutshell, you'll simply be playing Arcade Mode multiple times (picking up a few miscellaneous trophies along the way), playing a number of online matches, and grinding for money and Gift Points. The money and Gift Point grind will take a small while but ultimately there should be no problems attaining your 100% here.

Because Tekken Revolution is a free-to-play game, there are many new characters being added and events happening very frequently in the game. Therefore, you may find these two threads rather helpful in keeping up with the changes. Check back often as they're constantly updated alongside the game:

It is also important to note that to play Tekken Revolution you must be signed in at all times; it is impossible to play this game offline. For any trophies you wish to boost, please avail of the Tekken Revolution Boosting Thread.

The Ticket System in Tekken Revolution:

There's something important you'll need to know before playing Tekken Revolution. You need coins and tickets to play in both Arcade Mode and Ranked/Player matches. There are four variations of tickets:

  • Arcade Coins: These allow you to play Arcade Mode. You can hold a maximum of two at a time. You are granted a free Arcade Coin every sixty minutes.
  • Battle Coins: These allow you to play Ranked/Player matches online. You can hold a maximum of five at a time. You are granted a free Battle Coin every thirty minutes.
  • Premium Tickets: These are the versatile tickets; they can be used in both online and offline modes and you earn them for beating Arcade Mode, winning an online match, and so on.
  • Premium Coins: These have the exact same purpose as Premium Tickets, however these ones can be purchased from the PlayStation Store. The pricing for Premium Coins is as follows:
    • 4 x Premium Coins = €0.99/$0.99/£0.79
    • 10 x Premium Coins = €1.99/$1.99/£1.59
    • 30 x Premium Coins = €4.99/$4.99/£3.99

This system can potentially slow you down in getting the 100% so if you're really desperate to get this finished with, you can simply purchase the 30 Premium Coin deal, however in the end it's really not worth the cash and it's easier to just stick out the waiting period, considering the fact you'll have many chances to finish all the other trophies in the 10 days minimum it takes to finish this game.

One final note regarding the ticket system, the hourly/half-hourly replenishment system still happens even when the game is switched off, so you will wake up every morning to a completely topped-up game, waiting and ready.

I – Arcade Mode

To begin with, you'll focus on playing Arcade Mode four times. For your first playthrough, play and complete Arcade Mode. For the last three playthroughs (required for (B) Honing My Skills), you don't actually need to finish Arcade Mode. If you want a quick trophy, simply go in and out of the mode three times to unlock the trophy. However, it is strongly recommended you don't do this, as you'll need to grind money later on for (G) Going for the Gold, so try to do as many playthroughs as you can so you can garner more cash, making the grind later on that bit shorter. Try to pick up as many miscellaneous trophies as you can along the way, as there is no way to boost them with a second controller unlike previous Tekken installments, due to Tekken Revolution being one-player only. However, for any miscellaneous trophies you cannot pick up, there is a possible boosting method to avail of in Player Match, which will be described later. By the end of this playthrough, you should definitely unlock the following:

(B)

Arcade Master

(B)
Honing My Skills

II – Ranked/Player Match

And now, to the online portion of the game. You will be spending the majority of your time here for your 100%. There's nothing overly difficult here, aside from simply getting through 10 Ranked Matches. Thankfully you don't need to actually beat the opponent here, just complete the match itself. However, for (S) Rising in the Ranks, you will need to win at least two or three matches to ensure you rank up at least once.

After all that, all that's left is to play a single Player Match and we're essentially finished with the online section of Tekken Revolution's trophies. After completing the above, the following trophies should have unlocked for you:

(B)

Novice Fighter

(S)
Rising in the Ranks

(B)
Battle Scars

(B)
Just Getting Started

III – Money/Gift Point Grind

Now, we must finish off the grind trophies. You earn money from virtually achieving anything in this game; be it winning a Player Match, Ranked Match, finishing Arcade Mode, and so on. You even earn cash if you lose too, so regardless of your skill you are making progress either way. Online gives a much higher payout than Arcade and therefore is a much more efficient grinding method however if you don't want to, you can always go for the Arcade Mode method (although that will maximise the grind quite a bit). More details under the following trophies:

(B)

A Familiar Face

(G)
Going for the Gold

(B)
Embarrassment of Riches

IV – Clean Up

By now you should have most of the trophies, but if by any chance you missed one of the miscellaneous trophies, now's the time to pick it up. You have plenty of time to complete this step as you'll have to wait at least ten days before your last trophy, but aside from that, it is possible to boost the miscellaneous trophies in Player Match with a friend, so please check the following trophies for details:

(S)

Perfectionist

(S)
Never Give Up

(B)
That Felt Good

V – Sign In Every Day

Now that you've got all the trophies except for (B) Love Me Some Tekken, it's time to just wait it out before you can nab that 100%. For the next ten days (or however many days you require for the trophy), simply sign into Tekken Revolution as far as the main menu at whatever time in the day to have it count as one for the trophy. Unfortunately, Tekken Revolution doesn't allow you to manipulate the PS3 clock so you'll just have to wait ten real-life days for the last trophy to unlock. After signing in on the last day, you should unlock your final trophy:

(B)

Love Me Some Tekken

Conclusion:

Tekken Revolution packs a lot of content, especially for a Free-To-Play game, as well as a decent trophy list. Unlike many games of this kind which require you to purchase characters or features, Tekken Revolution comes as a whole game and any paid extras are completely optional. Thanks to this, Tekken Revolution is a worthwhile download for both newcomers and long-time fans, and another great Tekken game to add to your collection.

You earned over 1,000,000G total.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

As the trophy description describes, you'll need to earn a total of 1,000,000G for this trophy. Please note that this trophy is cumulative, meaning you can spend it however you wish as you earn it, as it is just your overall earnings.

This trophy will require a grind but nowhere near as much as (B) Embarrassment of Riches. There are two ways of earning money in Tekken Revolution; through Arcade Mode or online. The latter is definitely the way to go as you earn money and Gift Points much quicker than in Arcade Mode. Thankfully, Tekken Revolution has an excellent netcode so it rarely lags after syncing before battle, making reaching this goal an easier feat.

However, if you still want to avail of Arcade Mode, there is a workaround. Using Premium Tickets or Premium Coins in Arcade Mode gives you a major boost in how much money/Gift Points you earn, so it is possible to earn similar earnings to Online, albeit still taking longer than online would.

Firstly, you obviously know that you'll have to do many matches to reach the required amount. Therefore, setting strict requirements for opponents will simply prolong the wait for a game match. So, make them as broad as possible so you can allow a wider range of opponents for battle. A good set of requirements to make opponents as frequent as possible would be as follows:

  • Rank Limits: No Restrictions
  • Connectivity Limits: No Restrictions
  • Voice Chat: Any

Unfortunately, how quick this grind is and how much you earn is wholly dependent on your skill and a small bit of luck, but there are a few general tips that can be given to use as guidelines to make the grind more efficient:

  • Use the money you earn to upgrade yourself in Character Enhancement! You can improve three factors this way: Power (character's strength), Endurance (character's stamina), and Vigour (character's likelihood of performing a critical hit). These will be extremely beneficial whilst playing online.
  • Make use of the training session before a fight! There's a randomly-selected character to train against and they can warm you up before the fight starts.
  • Try to go for Perfects! This could be tricky online due to skilled opponents, but if you succeed you can earn massive bonus money, which will help you out a lot.
  • Learn to use Critical Arts and Special Arts effectively! These exclusive moves can help you greatly in battle, especially considering the Special Art has a small invincibility period at the beginning. Learn to weave these into your combos.
  • Play on higher difficulties for bigger payloads! (Arcade only) Playing on Hard or Very Hard, although making your experience a bit more rough, will reward you ultimately with more cash. If you feel daring, make sure to try your hand against the computer A.I. But it's recommended you upgrade your character well before doing so.
  • Try to win against special opponents! (Arcade only) There are opponents that can randomly appear when playing Arcade Mode such as Mokujin, Tetsujin, Kinjin and Gold Ogre who give massive amounts of cash if you win against them.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/AEB.jpg Rising in the Ranks http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

You were promoted to a higher rank.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

You begin as a 1st Dan when you begin fighting online however as you progress and win matches, you will be given a 'Promotion Chance'. This sign flashes when the characters are having their opening intros as well as at the bottom of the screen during fights so it is impossible to not know when you have a Promotion Chance. To increase the chances of getting this, you must win matches (not necessarily consecutively) against opponents online. Note that fighting and winning against players who are a few ranks above you increases the possibility of getting a promotion.

When you finally get the Promotion Chance opportunity, you must win the match that follows to secure it. It can be pure potluck thereafter as if you're paired with an incredibly skilled player then your chances of getting the promotion are slim. Follow the tips under (G) Going for the Gold to increase your chances of winning online.

After you win a promotion, the trophy will unlock in the post-match menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/1AF.jpg Perfectionist http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

You won a PERFECT battle.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

As the trophy description implies, you must earn a Perfect in any match. A Perfect is fighting game lingo for winning a match without receiving any damage whatsoever from your opponent. This trophy can either be earned from the very basic A.I. in Arcade Mode, by luck in an online Ranked Match or through boosting in Player Match. You'll know when you get a Perfect when the game flashes in large gold letters 'PERFECT' on the screen soon after the round ends.

Arcade/Online method:

Trying to get this trophy legit may prove quite difficult and skill-dependent. It is more favourable to earn this in Arcade Mode due to the extremely simple enemy A.I. The best thing to do is constantly attack the opponent leaving no opening for them to attack back, or else simply spam with any character of your choice with either grabs or Special Arts.

Boosting method:

Simply start up a lobby in Player Match and invite your boosting partner. Should anyone else join, you can kick them from the lobby. Start a game and have your fellow booster allow you to beat them without retaliation. The trophy will unlock soon after you finish the match. Remember that coins are still used in Player Match so make the most of each game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/1E2.jpg Never Give Up http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

You won a GREAT battle.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

This trophy is easily the hardest on the list due to no offline versus mode, meaning you can either earn this in Arcade Mode, Ranked Match or Player Match. A Great is fighting game lingo for winning a match with only a sliver of health left; somewhere between the 1-5% range. You'll know when you get a Great when the game flashes in large gold letters 'GREAT' on the screen soon after the round ends. Again, much like (S) Perfectionist, you have two methods to avail of:

Arcade/Online method:

This trophy is even harder than (S) Perfectionist to earn online or in Arcade and can be rather frustrating. In Arcade, you literally need roughly 1% of health to fulfill the trophy requirements whereas online it is within the 1-5% range as mentioned. The best tactic is to keep attacking your opponent until they're at the point where one hit would finish them, and then after that let them keep attacking you. When you think you're in a safe enough range for the trophy, go ahead and finish them. The problem with this tactic is you don't know if your opponent, be it A.I. or an online opponent will combo your health all the way to 0% before you get the chance to gauge it correctly, meaning it is completely luck-based. Therefore, it is strongly recommended you use the alternate method for this trophy.

Boosting method:

Simply start up a lobby in Player Match and invite your boosting partner. Should anyone else join, you can kick them from the lobby. Start a game and take turns at whittling down each other's health extremely carefully – make sure not to accidentally finish each other prematurely. When you are in the desired health range for the trophy, finish off your boosting partner to earn the trophy. Remember that coins are still used in Player Match so make the most of each game.

You played a player match.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

Head into Player Match from the main menu. You can create a session if you want but searching for sessions is much quicker to nab the trophy. Join any session you want and when your opponent and you are ready the match will begin. Win or lose, regardless of the results, you will earn this trophy directly after. However, if you happen to boost any of the miscellaneous trophies in the list, you will earn this automatically.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/606.jpg Arcade Master http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You cleared Arcade Battle.

Please refer to (B) Honing my Skills for further details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/DB6.jpg That Felt Good http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You successfully attacked your opponent with a Special Art 3 times.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

A new feature exclusive to Tekken Revolution is the Critical Arts and Special Arts system. Critical Arts are best described as unique, strong moves to pull off; Special Arts are the 'ultimate' form of these, which have the unique advantage of making you invincible for the first half of the move's execution. Each character has a unique list of these and can be viewed in the character select screen or the in-game move list in the pause menu.

The moves produce a colourful aura around the character when used correctly. For this trophy, you must use these moves three times and successfully hit the opponent in the process. This does not have to be in one match, and can be done in the game's practice mode if you wish; simply choose 'Warm-Up Space' at the main menu and execute three Arts against the training dummy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/AB5.jpg Battle Scars http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You played 10 ranked matches.

Head into Ranked Match from the main menu. Set your requirements for an opponent (follow the details under (G) Going for the Gold to find opponents easier) and wait in the training room as the game matches you with a player. Once found, the match will begin. Win or lose, regardless of the results, you will earn this trophy directly after. You will earn this trophy naturally if you decide to grind for money and Gift Points online.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/38B.jpg Honing My Skills http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You played Arcade Battle 4 times.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

For this trophy you must complete Arcade Mode four times. There are eight rounds to this mode with a final boss, Ogre, from Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The A.I. is surprisingly easy in every match of this mode, even in the final boss, and ultimately you should have no problems completing it.

You don't actually have to complete Arcade Mode to fulfill the requirements for this trophy; simply entering the mode works too. However, it is recommended you complete the mode each time as, even though the rewards are small, it adds up to minimise your grind a small bit for (G) Going for the Gold and (B) Embarrassment of Riches.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/6B3.jpg Embarrassment of Riches http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You earned over 10,000 Gift Points total.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

Gift Points are rewards you earn from winning battles and help you unlock new characters. When you reach a certain amount of Gift Points, a new character is unlocked, and so on. For this trophy, you need to unlock 10,000 Gift Points. You will earn this naturally as you grind online but by the time you reach 1,000,000G you will more than likely only have about half of the required amount of Gift Points. Therefore, you will have to continue grinding to earn the required amount. Please read (G) Going for the Gold for much more information regarding grinding these and how to go about doing this as best as possible.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/D88.jpg Love Me Some Tekken http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You signed in 10 days.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

Exactly as the description implies, you have to sign into Tekken Revolution a total of ten times. Unfortunately the PS3 clock cannot be manipulated to earn this trophy quicker and you will simply have to wait ten real days to earn this trophy.

You do not have to sign in consecutively to earn this trophy; it is just your total days. So if you miss a day don't worry, it'll pick up from when you next sign in. Thanks to RaineStryke for confirming this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2095/12B.jpg A Familiar Face http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

You unlocked a new character.

Unobtainable due to server closure.

As described under (B) Embarrassment of Riches, earning Gift Points unlocks you new characters to play as. This trophy requires you to unlock just one new character. You will most definitely earn this naturally through grinding online, but also playing two full playthroughs of Arcade Mode has been reported to unlock the trophy as well. Please note that the order in which characters are unlocked is random.

Good job! No offense to the other guy Vava, but this is more detailed.

Unfortunately it looks like which character unlocks in what order is random. You might want to pop that in there on your edit just to avoid people asking.

Ah yes, forgot about that. Added, thank you for commenting :)

Is Embarrassment of Riches also cumulative? It doesn't say in the trophy description. I'm eager to see if you can boost the ranking matches for gaining one rank etc.

Well considering you cannot 'spend' Gift Points as you can with G (at least, I haven't discovered a way to do so, am I missing something?) so you can't lose them regardless, so whether they're cumulative or not doesn't make a difference.

And from my experience so far, Ranked Match cannot be boosted as there is no possible way to invite someone to it unlike Player Match. The only way boosting would be possible if the online servers became deserted and few people used the online, which certainly won't happen for a long time now. :)

This is a very easy and quick 100%

The only thing that takes long is logging in once a day 10 times. Which really takes no effort at all.

It will take longer to get 1 million gold once the double xp is gone, but that seemed to happen a lot quicker than I expected.

Almost have enough gift points as well, currently at 8800.

The only thing I seem to be having trouble with is Great battle. But I'm sure it'l come in time and if not i'll find someone to boost with.

I'm actually kinda surprised by this game. The waiting for more tickets sucks, but besides that I find it very fun. This is my very first fighting game since literally the late 90s when I got tired of them, I've had absolutely no desire to play them at all since then, thought I'd give this a try and I'm having a lot of fun. Might have opening up a new genre and backlog for me, which is great. Those who are into fighters might not think much of it, but as a newcomer I think it's great!

Lastly, Good job on the guide.

I enjoyed reading your post :) I'm glad Tekken Revolution has brought you back into the world of fighting games. You should pick up past Tekken games as well, I'd personally recommend Tekken Tag Tournament 2 of the PS3-gen selection, but really all of them are good.

Thank you for reading, good luck in getting your 100% :)

I'm playing this game right now. Looking at the list, 100%ing this game isn't that much of a chore. And I'm not bothered with the "log in for 10 days" trophy.

Indeed, personally I think a 2/10 is fitting. Anything that can be difficult can be boosted, anything otherwise is just a little bit of grinding which requires little to no skill. :3

What's going on, Ms. Furuba? Another excellent guide in the bag I see. ;)

I definitely agree that 2/10 is a good rating. You don't even have to win anything (although getting the trophies would be much quicker)...just play the game. I love it. It's TTT2 in a shortened version. Gosh I love Tekken! Great guide!

I'm also enjoying the game. I've been a Tekken fan from the beginning, and I actually like that Revolution is more simplistic--almost as if it's gone back to its roots.

I would also agree on the rating, 2/10. The trophies are straight forward and easy. Without even really trying, I only have the 1mil gold, 10K gift, and 10 day log in.

I mentioned in the other person's guide thread that "That Felt Good" can be earned during the "practice time" before a ranked match. I can confirm as this is how I earned it.

Also, are you 100% certain that you can spend the "G" points before getting the trophy? I would hate to spend all my points on upgrades, then not receive it.

Yes you can spend them. I used them as I leveled up and got the 1G trophy today when I had around 650,000.

I'm currently making my through arcade mode again using Kazuya by holding :lsleft: and pressing :r1: and peeps if i can get a perfect most of the time then anybody can. For what its worth im earning between 20~40k each match and 10x6.0

This game is fairly easy, but I still wish there was a practice mode, like in past Tekken games. It sucks having to use Arcade tokens to learn a new character's moves.

I think the only trophy I might have difficulty with is the Great Match trophy. I could have sworn I had it, as my health was down to almost gone and I came back to win in an Arcade match, but the game didn't want to give it to me, I guess.

EDIT: Is there a way to see how much money you have earned so far? I don't see any stats screen or anything like that, so probably not, but wanted to check in case I just missed it.

Yeah, the fact that they removed the bound system and the roster is so small makes it feel like we're playing Tekken 1 again :D

Thanks, I'll add it to the guide :)

Yep, Arcade23 is right, you can spend your G before hitting the 1,000,000 mark due to it being cumulative. I spent about 200,000 or so before grinding to test if it's cumulative for the guide and earned the trophy when I hit 800,000G. So it works :)

I'm currently making my through arcade mode again using Kazuya by holding :lsleft: and pressing :r1: and peeps if i can get a perfect most of the time then anybody can. For what its worth im earning between 20~40k each match and 10x6.0

You're earning that much in Arcade Mode  I thought 5,000-10,000 with 10x2 Gift Points was the maximum possible. Nice going!! :3 And thank you for taking the time to read this guide ^_^

How on earth are you getting 20-40K a round in arcade? I've gotten plenty of perfects both rounds and still only average around 15K and 10x2...
