Never played 2 or 3... the driving controls are better right?

The controls for the vehicles in this game are so floaty I feel like its a pod racer... I heard the other games are based more around vehicles and never played them because vehicle levels are my Achilles Heel in video games.

 

So do Jak 2 and 3 have better vehicle controls or is it the same engine and they all control like a cloud?

Jak 3 has pretty good vehicle controls. Other than being taken out by AI vehicles, it is pretty smooth sailing, you can even drift around turns. There is a hover thing like the first game that you can use, but it too is a lot smoother, and you don't have to use it often, it is more an option for covering ground faster than anything else.

Zoomers are always flimsy, no matter what game. The other vehicles that are "heavier" have more weight to them. The buggies in Jak 3 are very easy to control.

They are pretty much the same but the zoomers in Jak II and Jak 3 are more stable and smaller. There's an option of hovering like in the original or flying high. In Jak 3 there are cars as well and they drive well.

I find the zoomers in Jak II to be nearly as bad as the original, but the dunebuggy things in Jak 3 are rather nice. They can take a lot more damage and handle a lot better, too.
